This was all that went through the Lucario's head as she walked onward to the base of the Chasm, she was wearing her normal scarf and black trench coat with her bag at her side moving slightly as she walked, she felt like a idiot as she walked a steel type fighting in a volcano she is the genius.

She looks at her item's and sees the stick she randomly picked up once, she felt like setting it on fire and using it to swipe at some Pokemon that seemed to be a fun way to pass the time. She mentally shrugged knowing that most here were fire type's so that would be a bad idea.

Varda made sure that his bag was properly closed before attempting to move, not wanting his items to spill out and possibly break. He had made sure that the rare berry they had found would be safe and not squished by all the items they had found. It was already starting to feel like a good day. They had found many items, helped many Pokémon, gathered a lot of ash... But there was still one thing missing. The Mystic Water, the item the bird was looking for. His Guild mission. It was very important and it seemed like the item wasn't hidden in the cave.

The Swablu nodded as Noel started to walk, reminding that they only had one way to go. The cave continued and the pair started to walk down the corridor, dimly lit by the magma peeking through the cracks in the rocky walls. It grew quiet once more as the little bird Pokémon's eyes scanned their surroundings, trying to find the mysterious item. It seemed like the cave was actually more of a tunnel, as eventually some more light started to shine from the end of the corridor, perhaps signaling the end of it. Would they soon come out on the other side?

Noel walked along the path until some light started to shine on the other side, Noel slightly rushed forward until she stopped outside looking around she noticed how high they were off the ground, the chasm seemed to of picked up in there and they walked slightly upwards, this confused Noel as she looked around for a path to follow.

Eyes catching a easy way down she turned to her company. "This way" she said as she walked down into the large chasm, was this where they'd find the item's they were looking for it slightly confused her but she noticed how out in the open she and Varda were here and knowing fire attacks were long ranged she stayed on her guard.

Varda kept following Noel, not fearing that he would get lost in what was basically a straight path, but he was going  to play it safe anyways. Waddling after his friend, his eyes enjoyed seeing new things. Even though the Fiery Chasm was full of dangerous lava as well as ash and smoke that seemed to fill ones lungs, it was still interesting. He wouldn't want to live in a wasteland without any plant-life, but it did look like many Pokémon did call this place home. Home... He hadn't been there in a while. He had yet to find his way back. But, honestly... He was a bit thankful for being able to see sights he never had the chance to before.

"Ah," the Swablu gasped just before they were about to step outside. Something had caught his eye. More leaves peeked from under some ash, very familiar one. Could it be that they had found another one of those berries? That was excellent! The bird was already about to rush to it to take a better look, but a load roar stopped him in his tracks. It was a roar he could recognize. Looking up, Varda was just barely able to avoid a large body about to land on him, dodging to the side but still losing his balance due to the shockwaves created by the massive body. The large Fire-type the Lucario had stunned earlier seemed to be back – and it was angry!

Noel heard the roar and looked back, and there it was the same feral Pokemon she had stunned before making a wedge between Varda and Noel, she swore as she looked around the only path they had was down so Noel thought fast and then grabbed a blast seed and threw it right at the feral Pokemon.

It had made sure it's mouth wasn't open but since this was another seed it blew up right in his face as Noel waved and ran down the path. "Over here ya big lug" she shouted as she threw any seed hitting him again. Getting annoyed with the Lucario he chased after her down to a more suitable battle field.

Varda rolled over as fast as his little pudgy body let him, scrambling to get back on his feet. He was dangerously close to the large feral Pokémon. He already was slower and clumsier than their attacker, but when he was prone, he was an even easier target! The Typhlosion had turned to look at the Swablu, angry about the humiliation it had gone through and wanting its revenge. While it was big and strong enough to handle many Pokémon that tried to fight it with ease, it was not going to let its opportunity to attack a helpless target go that easy. It opened its mouth, ready to breathe fire on the defenseless bird.

But a sudden explosion caused the feral Pokémon to roar as it felt the side of its face take damage, snapping its head in the direction of the hit. The Lucario had thrown another seed at it, causing it some pain – and making it even angrier! With a snarl, the Typhlosion left the Swablu alone, instead turning towards Noel. It was so angry that it was easily led away from Varda, following Noel as she ran. For something so big, it certainly was fast, able to keep up with her quite easily.

So much had happened that the blue bird Pokémon didn't even know where to start. It was calm again, suddenly. Carefully, he got on his feet, taking a look around. The feral Pokémon was gone, as was Noel... But the berry remained, safe and sound. The Swablu took it with him and put it in his bag before spreading his wings and jumping into the air, trying to see if he could find where Noel had gone!

Noel ran as fast as her legs could carry her but she was only able to get so far from the large Pokemon, she then turned on her heel and jumped over the Pokemon hitting him in the back as she did so and landed on the other side, they were at the bottom of the path now and the land stretched out for a while as Noel sighed and turned back to face him.

She then took her scarf and black coat and with one movement of her hand threw them off so all that was remaining was her white bandages around her stomach. "I let you go easy this time, now you're done" she said as she got into a fighting stance her red aura slightly leaking out if her body as it did when she fought.

The feral Pokemon charged at her and she barley managed to get out of the way and strike his side with a regular hit, though it did shine with a bit of aura as she hit him this was normal focusing her aura to deal slightly more damage.

Varda flapped his wings, rising up into the sky. The ground got further and further away, all the little rocks and shapes grew smaller. His eyes peered the landscape below, trying to see his friend – or the large feral Pokémon. At first, something else caught his eye however. A small line of Pokémon were walking in the distance. It wouldn't have been suspicious, but... Then he noticed a small glint from the hands of one as the light hit it, becoming almost like a beacon in the dim area. Perhaps it was nothing... But considering the bird had yet to find what he was looking for, it was a clue he was willing to follow.

His eyes eventually noticed some movement from below, seeing the familiar dark coat and blue fur flash through the rocks. The feral Pokémon was chasing after her, very fast and its back burning in rage. A roar echoed through the land as the chase went on. The Swablu wasn't going to leave his friend in trouble. Narrowing his eyes, he dove back down, flying after the Lucario and the other Pokémon. Noel had seemingly escaped to an area better suited for fighting, throwing off her items as she prepared for an attack.

The Typhlosion charged at Noel, but luckily she managed to dodge out of the way just in time. It braced for the impact as the Lucario's paw stroke its side, not wasting any time to try a counterattack. Its mouth glowed with the dim light of fire as a burst of fire erupted, trying to blast Noel with its flaming breath attack. Varda knew that he wasn't much of a fighter and there wasn't much he could do... But still, he used what little momentum he could get as he dropped from the sky, trying to dive at the feral Pokémon with his beak.

Noel swore to herself as she took note of the fire type preparing to use another fire move, wasting no time she quickly grabbed a random rock and threw it right at him hitting the fire type in the head, while it didn't do much damage it did make his head look up as he fired the flamethrower at the sky on the opposite side to where the flying type Varda was going.

Noel then dashed forward charging power and aura into her palm as she hit the large feral Pokemon right in the stomach. Though it wasn't for to long he was stunned as he slammed his arm into the Lucario causing her to fly backwards and into the ground where she rolled for a second then remained still

After a second she got back up ready from more as she stood in her fighting stance. Though they both failed to notice Varda flying down

Varda didn't even have to dodge the blast of fire that suddenly shot out to the sky, being a good distance away from it and not in any danger as he flew down with great speed – or at least as fast as he could fly, using what little weight he had to speed himself up, his wings folded against his sides. The feral Pokémon had been forced to rear up by a blow to its stomach, momentarily stunned from the blow that knocked the air out of its lungs... It was the perfect opportunity, it was still and oblivious to the bird's presence. The Swablu dove down, giving the large Pokémon's head a good peck with his sharp beak!

The Typhlosion roared, not having expected the attack as it had paid more attention to the Lucario that was actively fighting it. Its back erupted into flames in pain and anger, singeing the tips of the bird's tail feathers as he flapped his wings to quickly get away from the Pokémon. Turning to face the little bird, the Typhlosion growled and snarled as drool started to drip from its mouth, its eyes narrowing.

Noel noticed bird slam into the large feral Pokemon as it turned around to face Noel's friend. Thinking fast she remembered something as she reached into the bandages on her stomach and pulled out a small seed quickly eating it she felt something give her strength. She then dashed faster then normal in front of Varda facing the large feral Pokemon.

With a quick kick and punch to the feral Pokemon's head and stomach he stumbled back as Noel kept up her speedy assault. She was about to use her force Palm when the feral Pokemon bashed her away with enough force to move a bolder sending her into a wall. She remained their for a few seconds before standing up. She fell on her knees as she tried though as the feral Pokemon walked closer to her.

Varda flew further away as the feral Pokémon turned to face him, looking rather deranged in its angry mood. It was a frightening face of a beast only wanting to destroy and cause ruin. It was already ready to start flying after the little bird, but the sudden appearance of the Lucario forced it to stop, its eyes flicking in her direction slowly, but its gaze was full of power and intimidation. Noel attacked it once more, jabbing it with quick kicks and punches that forced the Typhlosion to take steps back  from the force of the attacks.

But it never gave up. Once it had the chance, once Noel took slightly too long to attack again, it bashed against the smaller Pokémon, putting all of its weight behind its attack and sending the Lucario flying. The Swablu let out a gasping tweet from the air as he saw it happen, worried of his friend's safety. The feral Pokémon started to walk towards Noel, who had been knocked against a wall and tried to stand up, but wasn't able to.

The bird Pokémon was lost. He quickly looked into his bag to try to find something that could help them, but he wasn't carrying anything that could help! He had no seeds that could damage the feral Pokémon, nothing that would save the Lucario. Varda was growing desperate, but then... He noticed the orbs. They all looked the same, so they most likely were those trap-breaking orbs Noel had told him about. While they would do nothing against a Pokémon most likely, maybe, just maybe... They could buy the Lucario some time.

The Swablu quickly grabbed one of the orbs from his bag and flew closer, dropping it on the head of the large Fire-type about to attack Noel. It landed on the Pokémon, shattering into tiny little pieces.

Noel tried to get up once more but couldn't she looked at the ground and let out a small laugh. "Is this it?" She asks herself as she looks up to the large feral Pokemon walking to her, she didn't show any fear though and still tried to get up once again but still couldn't her leg and left arm slightly cut from the impact.

She then noticed a large smash sound followed by a blinding light, she looked up at Varda dropping orbs on his head. Noel was slightly confused then realized he was buying her time as Noel tried to get up once more. Finally doing it she looked at the distracted fire type who couldn't find Varda and ran over to him. Slamming her first into his jaw with a sky uppercut and sent him flying across the field and into the ground.

Varda had dropped the orb and he had actually managed to hit! The orb probably was a bit hard and the sharp shards might have hurt a bit, but the feral Pokémon didn't look like it was really damaged by them. It was annoyed and distracted, however, and the little flash of light the orb had released when it had shattered did momentarily blind the Fire-type and force it to stop. Once it could see again, its eyes snapped upwards as it tried to find the source of the annoying little orbs, only getting another one dropped right on its head that forced it to back away and growl angrily.

It was something. He had managed to buy some time. The Lucario could eventually get up on her feet despite her earlier attempts failing, apparently managing to gather enough strength to lift herself off the ground. The Typhlosion was still looking up as it tried to find the Swablu, ignoring Noel completely with its one-track mind. It was too late for it once the Lucario's fist connected with its jaw, causing even such a large Pokémon to be thrown into the air. It came down with a crash, causing the earth to tremble and its hefty weight causing the ground to crack slightly under it.

For a moment, the feral Pokémon lied there, quiet. Its body shuddered as it snarled, its paws attempting to find the ground as it tried to get on its feet once more, clearly weaker now.

Noel fell back on her knee using one arm to hold herself up breathing hard. She looked and hopes the feral Pokemon wouldn't get back up but her hope was quickly smashed away as he tried to get up Noel tried to get up first it was a race to see who would stand up first. Luckily Noel was the one who won as she looks over and runs to the large feral Pokemon.

Before it could get up she jumped and kicked it right in the stomach sending him farther into the ground as she tried to get away she tripped and landed on him. The Lucario was now on the feral Pokemon as he tried to attack her, she quickly got away as the feral Pokemon tried to get out of it's place in the ground.

Varda dared to float closer to the ground now that the feral Pokémon no longer was actively looking for him, feeling how his breath had quickened. He had done a lot of flying and moving, but in the heat of the battle, he hadn't really felt the exhaustion. Now as the adrenaline in his veins was starting to run out, he could feel the aching in his muscles and how tired he was – but it wasn't over yet. He couldn't rest now, they were still in danger.

The Typhlosion was having a lot of trouble getting back up, its aching body not quite allowing it to move like it wanted. Its paws didn't want to support its massive weight, but it wasn't giving up. It was full of rage and it wanted its revenge, nothing less would work for it. But the feral Pokémon never managed to get up as the Lucario kicked it in the stomach, causing it to gasp and sputter as it was pressed deeper into the ground. It quickly tried to swipe at Noel as she tripped over it, but its movements were too sluggish to connect in time.

The Swablu landed next to the tiny crater that had formed into the ground now, noticing how the large Fire-type was still trying to get up after it all! Its attempts were quite pitiful and it seemed like it wouldn't get up in its weak state... But Varda didn't want to give it the chance. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes as he tried to calm himself, getting in the right mindset to lull the Pokémon to sleep. His beak opened as he started to sing a lullaby.
