This was all that went through the Lucario's head as she walked onward to the base of the Chasm, she was wearing her normal scarf and black trench coat with her bag at her side moving slightly as she walked, she felt like a idiot as she walked a steel type fighting in a volcano she is the genius.

She looks at her item's and sees the stick she randomly picked up once, she felt like setting it on fire and using it to swipe at some Pokemon that seemed to be a fun way to pass the time. She mentally shrugged knowing that most here were fire type's so that would be a bad idea.

Varda nodded, agreeing that stealing was never a good thing. He didn't understand why things had to go that far. Luckily, the Lucario proved to be just as kind and helpful as he had hoped, agreeing to help with a smirk. The little bird's facial expression just lightened up as he smiled a great big, excited smile, his eyes large and bright.
"Really?! Thank you!" He chirped happily, hopping up and down on the little patch of ash, even sending some of it flying around him. His usually vibrant belly and tail were quickly starting to turn just as gray as his wings as his feathers touched the ashes.

"Oh?" The Swablu tilted his head as Noel said that she might have heard of the item... But unfortunately, she had not seen it yet. He didn't know how long the Pokémon had been to the valley of lava yet, so perhaps she just hadn't had time to find anything really interesting yet. It was a bit disappointing, but the Lucario apparently had a plan. Varda couldn't help but watch quietly, curiosity filling his little heart as his friend produced an orb from her bag.

And then, in one swift move, she threw the orb on the ground, smashing it. The orb shattered, causing the bird Pokémon to turn his face away from it as he shielded his eyes with his wing in case there was going to be a flash or flying... Whatever the orb was made of. Nothing bad seemed to be happening, so the Swablu dared to look back, noticing how the orb was creating items out of nowhere. His heart skipped a beat when he saw something vaguely tear-shaped appear... But it was just a seed, not a jewel. Some boxes had appeared however, which did look interesting.
"Ooh... What was that?"

Noel looks at the item's and shakes her head, she was slightly sad about the fact she hadn't dragged the item to them as Varda asks her what the item's was. "That was a trawl orb it drags item's to wherever I throw the orb" she says as she looks over the items, she takes the seed and the orb thinking they would be useful for something as she places them into her bag.

She looks over the items and then back to Card a "you want the boxes?" She asks not really wanting them. She saw no use to them because she couldn't open it up, she did have one in her bag but no matter how hard she smashed it. It wouldn't open passed her off

"Ooh," Varda cooed in awe as Noel explained. He liked the sound of this... Trawl Orb. If it could attract items, it sounded like a really good way of looking for something indeed! Unfortunately, this one hadn't brought forth the item they were looking for. The Lucario did get something out of it, but for some reason, she did not want what the bird thought were the most interesting and the prettiest: the boxes. He tilted his head, almost like he was unsure if he had heard right.

"You don't... Want the boxes?" The Swablu asked in disbelief, uncertain what to make of it. Was there something bad about boxes?
"I like boxes, so sure, I could take them if you really don't want them but... Are you sure?" He asked again, wanting his friend to be absolutely sure about it. He didn't just want to take something from her when she had used something so important to get them.
"Did the orb bring all the items around this area here? Does that mean we should go somewhere else if we want to find more?" Varda suddenly asked, wanting to know more about how the orb worked. He had no idea, after all, and hoped that Noel knew more!

Noel just shrugs "Ya it's ok I don't mind I see it as fair for us to spit the item's, it would be unfair if only I got them" she says as she places the seed into her bag and the orb into a large part of her pack, she liked being fair while she was exploring with someone so sharing seemed to be the best way to express this.

"The orb has a certain range, but it also can't drag all item's it's a bit random at times so looking here might be a good idea" she says as she looks around and points to a path. "How about this way?" She says thinking it to be safe

Varda pondered for a moment, letting out a quiet hmm as he closed his eyes and folded his wings, thinking hard. He didn't quite see it like the Lucario. It was her orb, so anything it produced should be hers, he felt. But he also knew that he was a bit silly at times and others tended to be smarter, so maybe her way was the right way? She did seem content with what she had taken already, even though the boxes looked much shinier and could have held some kind of treasures inside like the ones he had gotten opened before.

"Well, I can take them and get them opened! I can tell you what was inside them next time I see you, maybe it's something you would like to have," the bird offered a compromise, something that surely would satisfy them both. He would take the boxes now and if there was something Noel liked inside them, she could have them. It was usually the excitement of actually opening the boxes that Varda liked the most! Opening his bag, he carefully put the two boxes inside it.

"That sounds like a good idea!" The Swablu chirped after the Lucario's explanation. The orb apparently was random, so it was hard to say where it got the items and if the area around them was now empty. With a nod, Varda turned towards his sack of ash and tied it up so nothing would spill and took it with him. After he was done, he started to waddle after Noel when she pointed a path, keeping an eye out for anything in their way.
"Were you here for some reason?" He asked as they walked, just wanting to talk.

Noel just shrugs "I didn't really come here for anything ... Well I may have had the idea to find a fire stone for my friend lumina she is a vulpix so I think she'd be happy if I found one for here" Noel says thinking it a bit strange to be shopping for presents in a freaking Chasm.

She sensed something as her head turns and she jumps backwards just in the nick of time to avoid a ember. She looked at the black Pokemon and was slightly worried to was the same Pokemon she had met in grassveil she did promise to fight him here, she quickly decided it wasn't the same one though and got into a fighting stance

Varda continued to walk by the Lucario's side, occasionally looking up at her face instead of their surroundings. He did try to keep an eye out for the Mystic Water, but he was having a hard time concentrating on something else when there was a much more interesting conversation going on. At first Noel thought that she didn't really have a reason to come to this place... But quickly she admitted that she was looking for a Fire Stone for her friend. Lumina... The Swablu's eyes grew large as he recognized the name.

"Oh, I know Lumina!" He chirped in excitement,
"She's my friend, too!" The bird continued happily, enjoying the fact that they had similar friends. Of course it could have been some other Pokémon called Lumina... But he didn't manage to think that far. In his eyes, the same name surely meant the same Pokémon, too.
"Does she need a Fire Stone?" Varda asked, of course wanting to help his friend too. He had never heard the fox ask for a Fire Stone, but perhaps he just hasn't asked about it himself.

Suddenly, the Lucario jumped from her place backwards, causing the little bird to grow quite confused – but only for a moment, as he did notice the dying flames that had been shot to the spot where Noel had been standing just a moment ago. Out in the distance, there was a dark-furred dog Pokémon, flames coming out of its mouth in a rather intimidating way. It didn't look friendly at all!
"What is that?" The Swablu asked, worried,
"What do we do...?"

Noel looked at the Pokemon and swore under her breath as she stood tall looking at them. "Same thing we did on the mountain we fight" Noel says as she makes a quick dash at the houndour surprising it with the speed the Lucario had. She stepped quickly to it's side and force palmed it away and into a cliff, it managed to get up and goes over to the Slugma.

Though they seemed focused on the Lucario and didn't even seem to notice Varda as they both charged embers and launched them at her. She jumped out of the was and landed back to where she was with a smirk "gotta do better then that" she taunts them

Varda looked rather concerned as Noel mentioned how they should fight. They had fought together once already, back on the mountain with the Growlithe client... It had been rather spooky, but back then, Noel had been a Riolu and she was very strong. The bird didn't know how strong the Pokémon were around these parts, but he felt safe enough with the Lucario by his side. With a determined nod, he spread his wings as he took to the air, soaring above the fighting Pokémon. The dog-like Pokémon was spitting small balls of fire in Noel's direction, and it didn't seem to have noticed the flying Pokémon yet.

With one swift punch, the Lucario pushed the dog and forced it to fly against a cliff. It wasn't enough to the feral Pokémon however, and it quickly got up with an angry growl. Near a small pool of lava, the Swablu could see some movement... And it was when he realized that it wasn't lava at all! ...Or at least, it wasn't lava that would stay still. It was a Pokémon of some kind, made of lava and flames. It inched closer, its slug-like body rather slow... But it was capable of producing as much flame as the dog! Together, they could spit them at a rather fast speed as they started to approach Noel.

Varda had flown over the feral Pokémon and landed down behind them as softly as he could, not wanting to alert them to his presence yet. He waddled closer slowly before he stopped and prepared himself, closing his eyes for a moment as he relaxed and concentrated. Then, in the middle of the sound of the fight and bubbling lava, a peaceful song started to slither from the bird's beak.

Noel looked at the Pokemon as she reached into a pocket in her coat and pulled out two iron spikes, she was ready to let them fly when suddenly the two Pokemon stopped moving. She looks at them and instantly realized what had happened when she sensed Varda behind them.

Putting the spikes back into her pocket she walks over to the two asleep Pokemon and puts one hand in front of her face. "We should go" she said quietly to not wake the two Pokemon up and pointed back to the path she had picked.

It was slightly hard not to wake them up and Noel walked past them making sure to be as silent as possible. Almost ninja like steps as she moved slightly mad about getting attacked

Varda continued to sing his lullaby, the noise of course attracting the attention of the two feral Pokémon. He could feel the heat of the living lava and fire, but he didn't back down. He continued to sing, its peaceful melody forcing the two Pokémon to really try to fight its effects. Their eyes barely could stay open even when they tried really hard, their movements turned sluggish as they tried to lash out at the little bird behind them. Eventually, the feral Pokémon fell down to the ground, snoring peacefully on the dark rock.

The Swablu let out a sigh of relief, happy to be of use as he looked at their attackers sleep, completely harmless. Looking up, he noticed how Noel was walking towards him, whispering that they should go. He nodded in agreement, not wanting to make any noise he didn't have to in case the Pokémon would have up. Carefully, he waddled behind the Lucario as quietly as he could. He wasn't very graceful in his moves, but luckily he was very light and his little feet didn't really make a sound.

Noel let out a sigh happy she didn't have to knock some Pokemon flat like she normally had to. "So what did you ask?" She says trying to remember what Varda had said. "Oh ya about lumina, well she didn't say she wanted one but I figured it would be a nice surprise don't you think?" Noel says as she walked onward not sure of her plan to help her out.

She kept her eyes peeled just in case she happened to see the stone they were looking for. She knew it was blue so it would be easy to spot in this environment. Though could it be in the lava? Noel shuttered at this fact and walked onward.

Varda continued to walk after the Lucario, concentrating hard on not making much noise. Occasionally he glanced behind them to see if the feral Pokémon had gotten up or tried to follow them... But no, the two were still sleeping soundly, not even making one move to get up. It was a good sign. He waited until they were far enough until he could relax and walk normally... Which honestly was just as quiet as his quiet steps, not really having enough mass to create a lot of sound when he walked.

"What would Lumina use one for?" The bird had to ask once the feral Pokémon had disappeared behind some rocks, tilting his head as he wondered Noel's words. Lumina apparently hadn't said that she wanted a Fire Stone... But she was a Fire-type, wasn't she? Maybe they liked Fire Stones and it would make for a nice gift. To that, Varda just had to nod, he did think it would surely be a nice surprise!
"How does a Fire Stone look like?" He continued to ask, wanting to know what he was even looking for.

The pair continued to walk in the rocky landscape, heading down the path. Slowly, the heat of the lava nearby started to creep on the Swablu again. It wasn't unbearable yet, but he was definitely feeling it. His eyes kept scanning their surroundings... But the only thing he managed to see was more ash. Of course, as he was looking for it, it was actually a good thing!
"Oh, look," Varda chirped as he stretched his dirty wing towards what he had found,
"There's some ash there! I think I should try to fill another bag..."

Noel turned her head to look at Varda she then smirked always happy when she can tell others something. "Well you see a fire stone it a type of evolutionary stone it can be used by some Pokemon to be able to evolve like me, I happen to know that lumina evolves with a fire stone and being the person I am I'm taking it upon myself to find a stone for her." Noel smiled considering Noel had beaten lumina in the two sparring matches they had she felt it only fair to help her out.

"Well it's a orange stone with what looks like a flame that has been stuck inside of it. Though I have no idea how they are made they are said to be rare so finding one is going to be a little hard." Noel said as she started to feel slightly dizzy but she didn't let this show. She just ate the seed she had obtained and felt her energy come back to full force.

Noel was feeling the burn and being part steel type it was harder on her then it would be on most, she still pushed on though wanting to explore more of this area, when she heard the Pokemon chirp she looked over and saw some soot. She goes over and uses both paws to pick up a large glob of the stuff.

Varda listened to Noel carefully. He had no idea that Pokémon used Fire Stones to evolve... Or that Lumina was the kind that did! He certainly had very intelligent and wise friends who knew so much about the world. But he wondered, was evolving such a wonderful thing that the Lucario wanted everyone to experience it, which is why she was looking for such an item for Lumina? He did hope that Noel didn't think unevolved Pokémon were worse somehow! Perhaps he was a bit slow and simple, but he didn't think he was that bad or anything...

The bird nodded as he heard the description of the Fire Stone. An orange stone with something that looked like a flame inside it, he was certain he could remember that. It sounded mysterious and rare, so it was going to be a mystery if they would even find one... But as far as Varda knew, this place sounded like the best place to find a stone like that! He hopped over to the patch of ash he had pointed out earlier rather happily, producing another empty small sack from his bag. With his dexterous feet, he opened it up.

"Oh, thank you," the Swablu chirped happily when Noel picked some of the ash up with her paws and he held the sack open for her so she could pour it in. It surely looked like a nice thing to actually have hands! Varda himself couldn't really grab anything with his wings... But he did have his feet.
"There's so much ash around this place... It shouldn't take too much time to get many sacks full of it," he started to talk happily as he lowered the sack's opening enough for him to scoop some ash in with his wing. As he did so, however... He could see some small, red dots go in the bag with the ash. The bird blinked, uncertain if he saw what he thought he saw.
"I think I might have gotten something other than ash in there... Could you take a look?"
