This was all that went through the Lucario's head as she walked onward to the base of the Chasm, she was wearing her normal scarf and black trench coat with her bag at her side moving slightly as she walked, she felt like a idiot as she walked a steel type fighting in a volcano she is the genius.

She looks at her item's and sees the stick she randomly picked up once, she felt like setting it on fire and using it to swipe at some Pokemon that seemed to be a fun way to pass the time. She mentally shrugged knowing that most here were fire type's so that would be a bad idea.

Noel kept going low as she noticed Varda occasionally looking up to see if something was there. She decided to leave that to his judgement and keep going forward and look around in case there was a Pokemon who decided to dig up through the ground to them, they must if had pure luck on their side to get this far without being seen by any others but luck was never her strong suite.

She looks down to see the large open area, just full of fire Pokemon something Noel didn't expect why we're they all there but something stood out in the mass of red and black. It was hard to see but it was there it was a small blue object hard to see but considering the mass if red and black one small piece of blue did stand out among it all.

She looks at Varda. "Think that's the mystic water?" She asks her voice nothing but a hushed whisper but loud enough for something next to her to hear. She was a bit nervous if that was the item that meant they'd have to fight all of them.

Varda looked at Noel when she asked – very quietly – about that one item that stuck out in the sea of red and black. It was almost like she had read his mind, wondering if the little necklace was actually the Mystic Water, the very item he was here to look for. The little bird looked back at the scene, letting his eyes follow the Pokémon that was carrying the blue stone.
"I'm not sure... It fits the description, though. It was supposed to be some kind of a blue stone on a string," he spoke, his own voice just as quiet, barely audible. It was the only thing that did fit the description that he had seen in the area, too – and they had looked all around!

But if it was the Mystic Water... They were in trouble. There were many Pokémon around, surely too many to fight with just the two of them. They could get hurt – badly. Rushing in would be a stupid idea, but how could they get the necklace if they wanted to be unseen? It was currently in the paws of one Pokémon!
"...Do you think they are going to put it down at any point? If they stop looking at it, then maybe... We could sneak in and take it?" The Swablu offered in a hushed tone, turning to look at the Lucario. He trusted her judgment more than his own.

Noel looks again it did look like the stone in question but the real question was how were they going to get it? "I don't think stealth will work here no way around" she said as she pointed at the small line like edge the crater had no way no one would be safe walking along there.

"Maybe you could fly down and grab it" she says but then shakes her head. "No I Don't think that will do" she says as she thinks of a plan

Varda furrowed his brow, sneaking in definitely did seem impossible if one couldn't just turn invisible. There wasn't enough cover and there were way too many watchful eyes around! It was too difficult... And being caught in the middle would be extremely dangerous! But fighting, that couldn't be the only way to do this either, now could it? There were many opponents and only two of them, they would be in great trouble if they tried and failed!

The Swablu looked at Noel when she suggested that he might be able to fly in and get the pendant. Yes, maybe... If it was put down. Right now it was being carried by a Pokémon, but maybe the Pokémon was carrying it somewhere where it could easily be taken? He doubted that it would be taken out of the crater that was this well defended, but it might be placed down!

But just flying in wouldn't work. Everyone would see him and that would be bad. For a moment the bird thought really hard, squeezing his eyes shut as he forced his brain to work as hard as it could. Then, after a moment... He opened his eyes, looking at the Lucario.
"If they place the Mystic Water down somewhere and if there then was some kind of distraction that made all of the Pokémon concentrate on the distraction... Maybe I could get in without anyone seeing me, Varda chirped quietly, telling his friend what he was able to come up with. If he came in from the sky and behind everyone, then he would have an advantage!

Noel nods as she waits for a bit until the lead Pokemon seems to put the item on a small pedestal as Noel rises to her feet. "Need a distraction eh I got one" she said as she pulled out a blast seed and a house orb. Running over she throws the house orb over to the corner which causes the Pokemon who were already there to be moved to where she threw it and then she threw the seed blowing that place up.

"Catch me if you can" she shouted as she sped off and was chased by all in the crowd even the one's leading them. Good thing about feral Pokemon is they are dumb.

Varda kept his eyes in the direction of the crater, looking at what the feral Pokémon were doing. Many of them seemed to be keeping an eye on their surroundings, perhaps looking for intruders like the Swablu and Lucario. Currently, they seemed to be hidden quite well... But the little bird still pulled himself back just in case, not wanting to be seen by anyone and blowing their cover. He kept watching very carefully, looking as the one carrying the necklace made its way to a rock that seemed to look like some kind of pedestal with slow steps, finally putting the Mystic Water down. Varda had to hold his breath, excited of this turn of events. Now they just needed...

Noel got up, announcing that she had a distraction. She ran off with some items, leaving the bird Pokémon behind her in a rather confused state. But once he saw what was happening, he quickly snapped out of it, not wanting to ruin the opportunity he was given! The orb the Lucario had thrown had called all the Pokémon away from the crater, leaving the pendant unguarded. The Swablu spread his wings, flapping them as fast as he could as he rose up into the air, rushing to get to the pedestal in the bottom of the crater.

Finally, he could see the item up close. While he still wasn't sure if it was the Mystic Water, it definitely fit the description! He flew closer, grabbing the thread with his feet before he started to rise up into the air again. Glancing towards the commotion that came from where Noel had run to, he had one rather big decision left: should he fly in the direction the Lucario was going and thus show all the feral Pokémon that he had stolen the item... Or leave and let Noel handle the situation on her own, even though she was injured?

Noel was moving as fast as she could but even then she was only barely faster then the crowd behind her. Her eye's narrow as she focuses all of her skills and tries to leave the crowd in the dust. She ended up going to a large cave with some rocks up and some down in a weird pattern. She then got a idea as she ran she used her senses to think of a plan in a moment's notice. She took the first rock and grabbed it. Circling around it she then used the new burst of speed to move through the entire crowd. She then grabbed a blast seed from her backpack.

She threw the seed to the top of the cave making a large explosion which sent most of the rock's down and covered up the cave with all the Pokemon in it. Noel smirks as she turned around. "Easy" she said as she felt a sharp pain in her arm which she had ignored while running.

She somehow managed to get back to the area Varda should be in and smirked. "Lost them" she said to herself

Varda held the necklace's thread with his feet, gripping it tightly as he flew in one place, still indecisive. His eyes occasionally flicked in the direction where Noel had gone, no longer able to see her... But he could hear that something was going on in there. Was she in trouble and did she need help? Or... Would he only get in the way? Should he leave? Oh, he couldn't leave! Even if it was stupid to go look for the Lucario, he had to! It wasn't right to abandon an injured partner in a hostile environment like this!

Flapping his wings harder, the Swablu took off, flying out of the crater with determination shining in his beady little eyes. He was still keeping the Mystic Water in his grip, swiftly making his way in the direction of the sounds. He was worried that something had happened to Noel... But at the same time, he was worried that he would be attacked by the feral Pokémon once they saw that he had taken the item! His eyes scanned his surroundings, trying to find some signs of the feral Pokémon or the Lucario. For a while, he saw nothing...

But then, Noel ran from around the corner, heading towards the crater. The bird Pokémon immediately looked much brighter as he smiled, quickly landing in front of the Lucario. His happy expression soon turned into a more serious one as he remembered that the Fire-type Pokémon were chasing after his friends, looking behind Noel to see if she was being followed. When he saw no proof of such, his smile returned as he looked at his friend.
"Noel!" He chirped, a bit too loud. He realized his mistake quickly, putting his gray-stained wings in front of his beak as he tried to contain his excitement.
"You're back...! You didn't get hurt, right? You're fine?" Varda continued, his voice now hushed so that nothing would hear them. Remembering the Mystic Water, the bird held out the blue jewel up with his foot, showing it to the Lucario.
"I, I got it!"

Noel looked to see the same happy Pokemon in front of her. She smiles as she falls on one knee the running had taken quite a lot out of the injured. "Ya I'm fine just give me a second" she said as she waited for a bit before telling him what she did. "I trapped them inside of a cave so we won't be pursued for a while" she said with a small laugh as she stood up.

"Well let's get that item back to it's owner" she said as she looked around for a bit. "They must want it back badly so we should get it back as soon as possible" she said the hero inside of her kicking in as she smiled. "Plus it might be a good idea for me to get back to a town and treat my injuries" she said as she waited for his response

Varda looked quite a bit more worried as the Lucario fell on her knee, but she assured him that she was fine. And considering that she was smiling and looking like she wasn't in too much pain... Perhaps she was saying the truth. Slowly, the smile returned on the birds face as he nodded, accepting what Noel had said. He didn't even have to ask about what had happened to the group of feral Pokémon, as his friend quickly mentioned how she had trapped them in a cave. That should mean that they wouldn't be chased after – but they still wanted to leave before they came back and noticed them!

The Swablu nodded when Noel suggested that they should return the pendant, putting it inside his bag gently. He was certain that was the safest place to store the items. Oh, how happy was he for being able to return to item to its original owners! His mission was almost finished and he had gotten many sacks of ash. But... The Fire Stone the Lucario had been looking for their mutual friend was still missing. They hadn't seen anything like it during their exploration...

"Oh, will you be coming back to town with me?" The little bird Pokémon chirped hopefully as he tilted his head to the side, looking up at the taller one. As far as he knew, Noel didn't live in Grassveil Town... But going back together would be a lot more fun than going alone.
"...Do you think that the Fire Stone is somewhere else? I didn't see any here," Varda asked after a moment of silence, looking a bit disappointed that they didn't find it. It was the only thing Noel was really after here, she helped him so much but he couldn't help her in return. Perhaps it was foolish to feel bad about it if the stone couldn't even be found in the area, but what if it was here and he just hadn't seen it?

Suddenly, the bird seemed to remember that they were supposed to get going, looking a bit more alert. He didn't hear anyone chasing them, so it wasn't like they had wasted too much time yet! Or so he hoped, at least. Looking at the Lucario with a smile, he extended one of his ashen wings in a random direction.
"Alright, we'll go... This way!" He pointed for a while before he ended to pointing in another direction.
"Or... This way."

Noel looks around the area and nods. "Ya it would be a good idea for me to rest in town I'd normally sleep in a tree but I don't think it would be wise to do that" she said as she looked down. "Though we didn't find it I don't think it's here, I threw two trawl orbs and I didn't get it so it must not be here. I'll just look somewhere else" she said with her normal warm smile to ensure that she was ok. "Not like I need it though it would of been a nice gift for Lumina I don't know if she'd want me to go out of my way for her like that" Noel said with a small laugh.

She was a bit disappointed that she didn't find one but she wasn't going to be down about it. She would hold her head high and look until her body dropped which it was close to doing. She laughed as Varda tired to find where they were going but she stopped him then pointed in another direction. "Try that way" she said while laughing and walked on

Varda nodded in return, happily accepting Noel's decision to come with him until they got to a town. It would be safer for her to rest there, maybe even have her injuries looked at by someone who could do something about it! He felt that it was a smart choice. But when it came to the Fire Stone, it seemed like the Lucario felt like the stone wasn't in this place after all. It would have made sense for it to be found in a fiery area like this, but... Maybe it just couldn't be found here. They had searched so hard for one, how could have they missed it? They even found the Mystic Water, a truly unique item!

"Maybe someone else might know where you can find a Fire Stone?" The Swablu offered. He wanted to help and find their mutual friend such a nice gift too, but... He had no idea where to find the mysterious stone. But if they were going to a town, maybe they could find another Pokémon who did know?

Noel just laughed when the bird Pokémon tried to find the direction they would have to walk in to get back to town, his rather poor sense of direction showing. Still, he didn't seem too bothered, just cooing in excitement when his friend showed him the right way. He wasted no time as he started to waddle in the right direction, waiting for the Lucario to follow.
"I'm glad that I found you here, Noel! I don't think I would have done as well on my own..."

"Ya maybe it would make sense for a Pokemon that evolved with the stone to know where it was" she then nodded and smiled. "When I get to town first thing I have to do is find a Nintales" she said that being the only Pokemon she knew that had evolved with a stone and since she thought it was something easy she knew it would be good. As she walked up the path she noticed something the same Pokemon that beat her up limping slightly towards them.

"It's him again" Noel said as she got into a fighting stance. She was hurt bad but so was he. "Ok this time I'll finish you off" she said as she clenched her paw and rushed at the large Pokemon as it yelled out in a battle like tone

Varda waddled with the Lucario, giving her a smile and a nod when she agreed with his idea. Indeed, surely many Pokémon had used a Fire Stone to evolve and knew where to find them! ...Unless they got them as a gift or bought them from someone. But someone just had to know, he was sure of it!
"What is a Ninetales like?" The bird asked happily when Noel brought a new Pokémon up. He had no idea what it was or how a Ninetales looked like, but he was curious enough to want to know more.

However, as they continued to walk, a large, strange figure limped towards them on four legs. It took the Swablu a while to realize that it was the large, hostile Fire-type Pokémon they had ran into a couple of times, the one that had battled the Lucario. Varda felt uncomfortable, having seen how badly it had hurt his friend! But both the feral Pokémon and Noel were hurt now, could they even fight – or should they?

As the other Pokémon got close enough, the Lucario rushed at it before the Swablu could even react! He chirped after her in a surprised tone, unable to get words out so quickly. The feral Pokémon let out a roar that was less mighty than before due to its tired state, but its back erupted in bright flames just like its mouth started to glow with the familiar warm light of fire that started to gather in its throat.

Noel instantly knew what the attack was but still ran at him full speed until she reached right next to him. She then spun around the Pokemon just as it tried to breath fire on noel, she spun for a second before standing still and tried to hit the feral Pokemon with a sort of Axe kick but the pain in her leg proved to great as she fell on her back in pain. She feral Pokemon went to swipe Noel but she to his own injury he fell to the ground in pain also.

Noel was the first to get up as the Pokemon spun into a wheel and tried to hit her. Noel barely managed to get out of the way as he changed direction and went at her again. She decided this time to stand her ground and launched a sky uppercut right at him managing to push past the flames and hit his jaw.

That was it however for Noel as the feral Pokemon crashed to the ground from her uppercut she then crashed to the ground herself from using to much energy fighting. She was still awake same as the feral Pokemon neither seemed in a hurry to get up.
