Epochire Academy Enrollment Tests

After arriving on Florasia Island, the first year students of Epochire Academy were lead to an open area outside. Their bags had been taken to a baggage claim room, which left the students free to take the school's enrollment test.
The school's headmaster, a tall male with short, black hair and wearing a formal suit, smiled brightly as he stood before the new students.
"Each and every one of you has been chosen to attend the academy. You have all shown the unharnessed, great potential that we search for when selecting our students. The final part of your enrollment here at the academy involves taking a test. For the test, you will each select two pokeballs from the assortment behind me."
The headmaster motioned to the pokeballs that were arranged a short distance away.
"You will select one for yourself and hand the other to one of these teacher, who will be your opponents. Worry not, for the test is nothing to do with winning or losing. The teachers will analyse how you adapt to working with a pokemon you have never encountered before through the medium of a pokemon battle. My name is Mr. Donovan and if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them."
Mr Donovan pulled a piece of paper from his pocket, "The first three to take the test will be Jikui Poingo, Chris Coldwell and Fabio Crowley."

Jenna nodded as she realised that she wouldn't be taking the test first, and retired to a seat by the sidelines with Lumi whilst the three went to choose their pokemon.

Three different teachers went over to the named students, each leading them over to the assortment of pokeballs and urging them to select two.



Ooc Stuff
So I kinda need some way to remain coherent as to which battle is which, so i'm allocating each of you a colour.
Jiku, your posts should be red and I will reply to your battle in red.
Pika, your posts should be cyan
Fabbri, your posts should be green
Also I will allocate movesets for your character once you reveal the pokemon they chose in your post.

Jikumo handed the teacher the pokeball, thanking her for the great match. "I hope I at least entertained everyone!" He flashed a grin, then headed to the door that was marked, "Training area". He let Vulcan out of her ball, and she stretched, "Cyndaquil? (How'd it go?)" Jikumo told Vulcan about the battle, "Cyndaquil...(Sounds like you had a huge disadvantage...)" Jikumo smiled at her, "Don't worry, I had fun doing it. It was like nothing I've ever done before! So, wanna get some training in?" Vulcan nodded, eager to start her training. "Alright, use Flare Blitz on that target!" Vulcan burst into blue flames and ran at the target, striking it at the 9-point mark. "Close, but it still needs some work, let's keep at it!"

The ginger teacher made noted some key points on Jikui's results sheet and went back over to where the students were all sat, "Adrian Knight?" she asked, looking for the next person to take the test.

The blonde female, having finished her battle with Fabio also walked over to the stands. She placed the pokeballs back where they had originally come from and made some notes about Fabio on a results sheet. She then consulted a list for her next opponent.
"Jennifer Swann?" she called before looking over the group.

Jenna blinked as her name was called out. She had been prepared for a few more people to be tested before her and so hadn't expected her name to come up so soon. However, she wasn't about to complain. She was nervous and it would be good to get that nervousness out of her system. Getting to her feet she walked over to the blonde teacher who then gave her a choice of pokeballs. She took one and handed the other to the teacher as the three before her had done. Lumi was perched on her shoulder, ready to give her partner moral support throughout the battle.




As you probably guessed, Savato, your battle will be in yellow and mine in Violet.

The ginger teacher sent out her own Pokemon, an Archen appearing from the light. She nodded before motioning for Adrian to follow her.
"We'll battle in one of the watery areas," she smiled, walking away from the main area. After a minute or so of walking they arrived at a pond area. There was plenty of space for the water type Carvanha to swim around as well as plenty of rocks sticking up for the Archen so as to make it a fair fight. The ginger teacher handed a portable device to Adrian with the two pokemon's stats on and then took up a position on one side of the pond, the Archen hopping up onto one of the nearby rocks.
"Your move first," she grinned.

With a small cry of "-molga!~" from Lumi, Jenna sent out the Pokemon in her pokeball. It was a Buneary that happily hopped around a little before turning to take up it's position for the test battle. Jenna consulted her portable device for the moves that Buneary knew.
"Okay Buneary... use Defense Curl."
It was not her usual strategy, but she figured that a good defense would come in handy.
