First topic message reminder :

After arriving on Florasia Island, the first year students of Epochire Academy were lead to an open area outside. Their bags had been taken to a baggage claim room, which left the students free to take the school's enrollment test.
The school's headmaster, a tall male with short, black hair and wearing a formal suit, smiled brightly as he stood before the new students.
"Each and every one of you has been chosen to attend the academy. You have all shown the unharnessed, great potential that we search for when selecting our students. The final part of your enrollment here at the academy involves taking a test. For the test, you will each select two pokeballs from the assortment behind me."
The headmaster motioned to the pokeballs that were arranged a short distance away.
"You will select one for yourself and hand the other to one of these teacher, who will be your opponents. Worry not, for the test is nothing to do with winning or losing. The teachers will analyse how you adapt to working with a pokemon you have never encountered before through the medium of a pokemon battle. My name is Mr. Donovan and if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them."
Mr Donovan pulled a piece of paper from his pocket, "The first three to take the test will be Jikui Poingo, Chris Coldwell and Fabio Crowley."

Jenna nodded as she realised that she wouldn't be taking the test first, and retired to a seat by the sidelines with Lumi whilst the three went to choose their pokemon.

Three different teachers went over to the named students, each leading them over to the assortment of pokeballs and urging them to select two.

So I kinda need some way to remain coherent as to which battle is which, so i'm allocating each of you a colour.
Jiku, your posts should be red and I will reply to your battle in red.
Pika, your posts should be cyan
Fabbri, your posts should be green
Also I will allocate movesets for your character once you reveal the pokemon they chose in your post.

Alright, it can't poison because of Shed Skin, so clear it up and attack and we'll be alright. He decided.
"Hey, spin and use low-kick!" Chris called out to the Pokemon. The Scraggy got the message through the smog and started to spin, using the power from his low kick for momentum. He started to clear the smog out from the area, and kicked up some sand and rocks in the process.

The Phanpy remained in it's curled state, the falling rocks doing less damage there than it would have done had the Phanpy not been curled up.

The Caterpie continued to bite down on the Jigglypuff, doing some damage despite the latter's defense curl move. The bug pokemon then moved away, halting all movement and waiting for the Balloon Pokemon to uncurl itself.

The poisoned smoke would still do some damage, but the poison effects would not hold due to the Scraggy's useful ability. The male teacher noted Chris' use of unique technique before instructing the Litwick to use Smog paired with Ember.
The fire type attack set the poisonous gases on fire, surrounding the Scraggy with a small inferno.

"Quick roll around the caterpie as quick as possible!" He was hoping to kick up a dust storm around the caterpie then strike. He knew he was running out of options, but he'd have to remain calm, for this test wasn't if you win or loose, but how you handle a situation with a random Pokémon.

Jikui was thoroughly confused, "Are you gonna stay curled up the whole time?" He didn't lose his cool, since he figured that's what she was waiting for. He had to come up with some sort of plan. "Hmm...Tynamo, try Tackling it, but be ready to dodge if it tries to counterattack!" Tynamo rushed over to the Phanpy, not going at full speed, but enough to at least knock it into the nearby wall if it hit.

Oh...wait. WHAT? Chris' eyes widened slightly as the smog ignited. He had never known that the stuff was flammable, and the surprise showed for a moment before he got excited, thinking about a next attack.
"Sorry, it might hurt slightly but go in for a Faint Attack." The Scraggy seemed to hesitate for a moment, before moving through the flames, receiving some damage but no burn effect coming into play. The Scraggy stopped moving in front of the Litwick, faking an attack and quickly darted around it, lashing out from the side.

The Caterpie was at a loss. It's generally slow movement speed hindering it's ability to escape from the dust that the Jigglypuff was kicking up. It did the only thing it could do and curled in on itself, mimicking the Balloon Pokemon's Defense Curl to try and block out some of the flying dust particles.

"Take Down!" called the ginger female. As the Tynamo drew near with it's Tackle, the Phanpy used the element of surprise to leap up and attack the EleFish with the powerful attack. If it hit, Phanpy would suffer some recoil from the move.

The male teacher nodded, noting Chris' use of the Scraggy's ability as well as the calculated risk he had taken. The Litwick was hit by the surprise attack and the teacher called for it to use Confuse Ray whilst the Scraggy was close by. The Scraggy was burned by the contact with the Litwick's Flame Body, but due to Shed Skin, it would quickly recover.

Jikumo gave a small smile, "Alright, now Charge Beam the floor!" Tynamo did this, and he went flying up into the air, letting the Phanpy fly past. "Alright, now use Charge Beam to carve out the biggest piece you can throw!" Tynamo's special attack was pretty high now, so it burned through the rock with more precision than before. The Tynamo cut a good-sized chunk out of it, and it popped off, "Now hit it with all your might!!" Tynamo let himself fall, using his momentum to launch the rock as hard as he could, straight toward the Phanpy.

The Phanpy charged across, skidding in the dust and grinding to a halt.
"Tackle it in response!" called the ginger female, the Phanpy obliging. It countered the incoming lump of rock with it's own Tackle, sending it flying back towards the Tynamo.

Jikumo didn't expect this, but he took it as an opportunity. "Tynamo, use spark and spin in circles as fast as you can!" The Tynamo, seeing the moment to prove himself, used all of his power, and charged up electricity, kicking up dust. He then began spinning, making a small funnel of sand that was just strong enough to redirect the boulder, and send it right back and maximum speed. 'Ha, even a pokemon as strong as Phanpy can't send that back without hurting itself.' He gave a huge grin to the red-haired teacher, trying to make her uneasy.

The teacher stood her ground. Having done these tests with many other students she was used to intimidation tactics by now.
"Take Down and Defense Curl!" called the red-head, "Use the power from Take Down to give you the momentum to dodge!"
The Phanpy used Take Down, charging forwards before curling up into a defensive position. The momentum from Take Down enabled the Phanpy to roll whilst curled up, at a speed that could dodge the boulder. It landed heavily, a dust cloud flying around it momentarily. Phanpy's Take Down-Defense Curl combination continued, the Phanpy rolling towards the Tynamo at high speeds. It leaped out from the curled position at the last moment, leaping upwards again in an attempt to hit the electric eel.

At the close range the Scraggy was at, it didn't have enough time to avoid the confuse ray and found itself hit by it, getting confused. Well, that's what I wanted to avoid. Chris thought to himself as he plotted out a next move.
"Alright, try and go with a Sand Attack." He told the pokemon. The Scraggy started to kick up some sand and dust, tripping out of confusion while doing so and hitting the ground, before getting back up.

"Ember!" called the male teacher. The Litwick promptly opened it's mouth and spat small burning flames at the Scraggy in short bursts.

Jikumo saw one more opportunity, "Alright, Tynamo, use Spark, with all your power, and try to blind it!" The Tynamo couldn't move, but he tried as hard as he could to shine a bright light. Tynamo ran out of energy and stopped levitating, falling to the ground and dodging the attack. Tynamo moved around, and Jikumo didn't know what he was doing, but soon it had dug under the sand.

"Now begin to use sing while still rolling!" He cried as he watched the events unfold. He finally had a chance to take the upper hand, and he was determined to do so as the jigglypuff began to song while rolling around the defenseless caterpie

The Panpy landed on the ground where the Tynamo had buried itself, pulling it out of the ground using it's trunk and flinging the electric type across the battlefield.

The Caterpie fell asleep in it's curled up position.
