Jak {10} ^{-16 from travels}

Jak had heard there was a special kind of ribbon you can get that would help improve your experience as you fought in dungeons and other places. It was called a Joy Ribbon oddly. It sounded like a odd name for a ribbon to him. Someone had mentioned that they are found in Black Mist Mountain. It was quite a ways out there to travel. He did expect to have to camp out for a bit as he went there. He thought maybe he could give it to someone as a gift or get one for himself. He was not entirely sure at the time.

He thought for a bit as he traveled.

One night he set up a camp for the night and noticed a storm was coming. It was coming fast. He found a nearby cave to wait for it to past. After a while he noticed the storm might be a while so he would have to set up a camp there for now...

As the storm had hit. There was a massive amount of lightning in it. The sheer amount of it was a little worrying. There was no rain at first but as the wind started to pick up. The rain came down like a waterfall. The amount of thunder occurring was immense. "Glad I am not out there..." He said with a sigh.

Then suddenly a very powerful bright ball of energy appears next to the cave. Jak was a bit freaked out as being that far from it still felt like he was about to be hit with a very powerful electrical attack. He went towards the back of the cave as the ball of energy moved slowly past it then shot towards the direction of the town he had left. "Oh god that does not look good! What is that!" he said with a frightful tone.

It then vanished as it got some distance. Never reaching the town only to have an extremely powerful bang occur that hurt his head pretty badly.
'Why was that sooooo loud....' he though as he held onto his head in pain. As his head started to feel better he looked around the cave to see if anyone else was in there.. He did not want to go to sleep to find out someone had been staying in there the whole time waiting for him.

"A item that helps one gain experience? You mean a joy ribbon?" She asks as she pulls up her right sleeve and reveals one of the same ribbons. "Cause I got one right here" she said showing the ribbon before pulling her sleeve back down. "Ya seems like it would be a bad idea to leave in this storm. But I've seen some do crazier things" she said then scratched the back of her head. "To be honest I climbed to the top of the mountain but something happened and I fell off the mountain. Hurts more falling down then it dozens going up"

Jak looked at the ribbon that Noel was wearing. "That is the item?" he said a little shocked to actually see the item in person. "Yea I think I remember that name... Someone in town told me about it. I forget who though. I was hoping to try to get one or two of them if possible." He said with a smile. Now that he knew what they looked like for sure. It couldn't be too hard to find some now. How rare could they be?

"I bet it hurt more coming down then going up..." Jak chuckled slightly.

"How are you making out with that.." he said with some genuine concern.

"Well other then some slight pain in my rear end and a bit of pain in my right arm. I think I'm good." She said as she patted her chest. Even her clothes hadn't gotten messed up to badly. He scarf was still completely but she did seem a bit injured she easily masked this with false confidence and hiding her true feelings. She was in a bit of pain but nothing she couldn't handle

Jak wondered how far Noel had fallen. She stated she fell of the mountain but how high up there did she fall is a good question. "OK then."

He looked back out at the storm as the rain started to get a little worse. Jak sighed as he saw it. "Its pretty heavy rain out there. I definitely can't go in that." he said. "I am glad its night though. Maybe the storm will pass by morning." he said.

He then sat down against the wall of the cave. Keeping an eye out towards the storm outside. "If it really is one of my friends out there... I wonder if its Sparks. If its sparks then I am sure he is a bit upset to see this storm and not able to reach it... He loves storms." He said with a smile as he kept watching the lightning. " He closed his eyes for a moment. "I do miss him and the others." he said softly. He opened his eyes back up and looked towards Noel.

"Ya must suck to have your whole life force in the tiny flame on your tail" Noel said as she leaned on the cave wall her eye's closed. "It might all we can do is hope, if not guess you'll have to stay here for a bit longer then you want to" she said with a smirk and a small laugh. "If it is this sparks I'll assume it's a electric type. If so Azeral will have a lot of fun the one type so loves the most is electric" Noel said wondering if it was this sparks

Jak nodded. "Yea if it is sparks. He is an electric type. He is a cute little one. He is sort of like a little brother to me in some senses." he said chuckling.

"Sparks is a Pichu... I don't quite remember his real name though. Everyone has been calling him sparks for a long time...." he said then took a moment to think... "Only name I can remember is Joey... I think his name is Joey." he said after thinking for a bit.

"He likes both names. Honestly I don't understand which one her prefers." he said with a smile.

"Huh I've only met one electric type Pokemon. His name was trace but I didn't get to know him that well but we did race once. Don't remember who won though" Noel said figuring she should continue the conversation but she decided to stop. "We should rest for now, best to be at full strength for tomorrow." Noel said as she looked at the ground and closed her eye's. She had some things her her mind at the time so she wanted to sleep to ignore this

Jak nodded. He agreed that they should rest. There was no where to go with that storm out there anyways. If he was to continue up the mountain he would need his strength. He figured for the time being the cave would be safe. He closed his eyes keeping his ears open for any movements. He did not fall asleep right away however. Learning that his friend might be in town. It somewhat grew in his mind. 'Could it really be sparks...' he thought to himself.

After a while he finally fell asleep. His breathing becoming slower as he fell into a deeper sleep. His tail sometimes burning brighter with each breath.

Noel looked at the ground slightly sad. She had noticed Jak had fallen asleep so she was free to think about what happened. "Wish she could of stayed a bit longer" she said quietly to herself as she looked at the ground. A small tear fell to the ground but she didn't care about that right now. She'd stay up all night thinking about what had gone down during her time back in Grassveil.

Jak woke up to see the ground was still quite wet outside. The rain however did stop. Being quite cloudy outside however. Looking farther away it was actually foggy in some area's. The sun looked like it was probably at least an hour after the sun had risen.

'Must of been raining all night.' he thought to himself.
He walked towards the cave's entrance to take a peak outside and see how much the storm had done to the area.

He looked towards Noel to see if she was awake. At the moment she still looked asleep however his movement probably might have woken her up a bit.
He then continued to look around from the entrance of the cave noticing many fallen tree's in the area. "Wow...." he said softly "That is some damage..." he continued. He looked to see if Noel had gotten up.

Noel was awake she hadn't slept this night. The ground under her was still wet though that could easily be mistaken for the rain coming through a crack in the cave. She had been up thinking about everything that had happened to her but she instantly noticed Jak get up and heard him say something. Couldn't tell what but it was something. "Morning" she muttered out

Jak noticed Noel was awake. "Oh you are awake." The ground around her was wet. He did not see the ground being wet all the way from the entrance to that spot... Although it could be mistaken. He noticed the tone in her voice sounded somewhat unsettling. "Noel... Are you alright?" He asked as he walked over to her.

It looked like she might not have slept last night. It started to make him feel that she might have been crying all night... He sat down next to the Lucario.

"Heh ya I'm fine, just the talking about friends reminded me of someone. My friend Lumina me and her explored many dungeons she was a cold fire type pretty silent but eventually I got her to consider me a friend and a rival" Noel then looked down. "But she then had to leave this place for a bit. So I'm just sad I lost my friend" Noel said as she let out a small laugh. "But we promised to have a fight later so I'm sure she'll be back"

Hearing that Noel had a lost friend also made him feel sorry for her.
"I hope you do get to see her again. It is hard to lose a friend. I definitely know the feeling." he said with a hint of sadness in his own voice. "I lost my home and my friends got separated as we had to flee." he said.

"I can only imagine what that little guy went through as he had to flee..." he said with even more guilt in his voice now that he felt that he should have been with his friend the whole time as they fled. It was not his choice however. He was forced to flee. Others would not let him go back for them.

"Funny thing is this is the first time I'm dealing with some pain like this. Growing up I was always on the move never staying still. I only knew my mom and didn't have a real home nor friends. But I guess being sad about it is sorta good. So I can have something to look forward to incase I meet them again" she then smirks. "I'm sure you will meet your friends again"
