Ferry Journey to Florasia Island

People seemed to be gathering in Vermilion City's harbor. Which of these people were getting on the ferry to Florasia island, Jennifer didn't know. The second letter she had received, after accepting her place at Epochire Academy, had detailed the date and time of the ferry's departure. The S.S Aqua, which was currently docked in the harbor, would be leaving soon and the S.S Elizabeth arriving. It was part of Jenna's nature to be rather early, just in case something held her up on the way there, but now she had a rather long wait.
Lumi was perched on Jenna's shoulder. The Emolga rubbed her cheek against the side of Jenna's face in a sign of affection. Jenna smiled. At least she wouldn't have to wait alone. Taking a seat on a nearby bench, Jenna dug through her bags to find her sketchbook. She figured she could indulge her love for drawing whilst she waited.

A half hour or so later, the S.S Elizabeth docked in the harbor and opened the entryway to let people on board. Tucking her sketchbook into her bag and taking out her ticket for the ferry, she headed towards the boat, Lumi gliding on ahead. Jenna handed the ticket to the man by the entryway before taking her things on board.
After being shown to her cabin, Jenna sat on the bed for a while, piling her stuff neatly in one corner. The journey would be a few hours long, so she hoped she'd find something interesting to do on the way to Florasia Island. Shrugging to herself, she stared out of the window and watched the far off waves. Maybe she'd meet some new friendly faces during the journey.

Elliot watched Jenna go. He shrugged. Maybe she'll be someone to hang out with later. She seemed nice. He walked around, looking for someone else to talk to.

Jenna nodded in response to Adrian, readjusting her glasses as another tiny smile appeared. As an awkward silence seemed to settle, Lumi decided to revert to her usual hyperactive self and glided over to Adrian, landing on his head and generally invading his personal space. Jenna couldn't help but smile a little at her partner's antic's though.

"Uh...yeah...so...whereareyoufrom?", Adrian stammered while slowly stepping backwards, obviously completely unable to deal with the situation.
While he may be really good at memorizing facts and theories, when it comes to social interaction he was about as well versed as a Spinda on a skateboard.

"U.. Unova..." blinked Jenna, Adrian's stammering making her nervous. She preferred the company of Pokemon, often understanding them better than other humans. Had she done something wrong?
"S-sorry..." she muttered, inadvertently voicing her concerns in one word.

Seeing that she was obviously thinking, something he could respect he left her to her own devices. Still determined to make a friend he saw a boy (Elliot, I spazed out I mean where did Miles come from…) and exuded that he would be fun to talk with, so grabbing Kishi he said goodbye he made his way over to the boy. As he began nearing him he aperantly sliped on some water and tumbled forward. He instinctively held out his arms so his beloved Pipup (his only true friend at the moment) wouldn't be hurt from the fall. He lied there in an awkward pose on his stomach arms streched out in front of him. He could feel cold judging eyes on him piercing like daggers and he froze there out of fear and embarrassment.

Jikumo woke up in cold sweat, he had just been dreaming of his partner Vulcan being hurt in battle. "VULCAN! Vulcan, where are you?!" Vulcan woke up with a start and clung onto Jikui's shirt, "Cynda cyn? (Is everything ok?)" Jikumo pet Vulcan, then picked her up as he got himself off the bed. "I don't think I can sleep...let's go back to the main deck, and see if anyone's there, alright?" He headed outside and looked around, with Vulcan in his arms.

"U-u-uh...n-n-no, it's all right...", Adrian mutterd back.
After taking a deep breath, he finally regained his composure and continued:
"I've never been to Unova before. I've read about it, 'though. Sounds really nice..."

Elliot sighed and went over and helped him up. "You okay? This deck is a bit slippery." Elliot grinned. "My name's Elliot, by the way. This is Amber." He said, pointing to the sleeping Eevee on his head.

Fabio got up, and brushed the dirt off his pants, still holding on to Kishi for the moment "yeah it is a bit slippery… and hard" he said at a feeble attempt to break the ice "Hello I'm Fabio where are you from Eliot?" Meanwhile Kushi was looking up at Amber with amazement, she had never seen an Eevee before.

"I-it's... alright there I guess," she replied, turning at the sound of a thud on the deck. Blinking, she saw Elliot helping up Fabio and assumed the thud must have been him.
"I hope he's alright..." she whispered, Lumi gliding back over to her trainer's shoulder in order to ascertain just that. Fabio soon got to his feet though and both breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
Jenna turned her sienna eyes back to Adrian in an attempt to socialise.
"So... uhm, where are you from?"

Jikui walked over to the point of the deck and looked out at the crashing waves. "Man, the world is so beautiful..." Vulcan puffed a bit of fire, setting Jikui's hair on fire. "...VULCAN WHAT THE HELL!?" Jikumo ran around with fire in his hair, and ran into Jenna, "S-SORRY, HAIR ON FIRE! HELP!" He rolled around on the deck, trying to put out the fire. Vulcan scratched her head, "Cynda cyn... (Sorry about that...)"

Having been severely surprised by Fabio's fall, Adrian found himself simply standing around, having no idea what he should do now.
All the while, Aion was bouncing up and down nonchalantly.

Fabio cocked his head when he saw the fire, but then decided to help he said "Kishi use bubble on his head!" Hoping to douse the fire. He know felt that he wasn't alone in the group of people who have freak mishaps all to often.

"It's okay..." she whispered, not really registering the event as Jikui ran into her. She didn't have a water type Pokemon to help douse the fire that ate at his hair and none of Lumi's moves would help in this situation. She remembered the Piplup from earlier and was about to enlist Fabio's help when the boy himself came to the same conclusion. The Piplup used Bubble on Jikui's head and Jenna waited to see if it would put the fire out.

Jikui got up and sighed, "Vulcan, you need to get control of your fire..." Vulcan shyly nodded. Jikumo gave a thumbs up to Fabio, "Thanks, man. That was a good move on your part!" He got up and looked at Jenna, "Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to run into you..." he held his hand out for her to take.
