Ferry Journey to Florasia Island

People seemed to be gathering in Vermilion City's harbor. Which of these people were getting on the ferry to Florasia island, Jennifer didn't know. The second letter she had received, after accepting her place at Epochire Academy, had detailed the date and time of the ferry's departure. The S.S Aqua, which was currently docked in the harbor, would be leaving soon and the S.S Elizabeth arriving. It was part of Jenna's nature to be rather early, just in case something held her up on the way there, but now she had a rather long wait.
Lumi was perched on Jenna's shoulder. The Emolga rubbed her cheek against the side of Jenna's face in a sign of affection. Jenna smiled. At least she wouldn't have to wait alone. Taking a seat on a nearby bench, Jenna dug through her bags to find her sketchbook. She figured she could indulge her love for drawing whilst she waited.

A half hour or so later, the S.S Elizabeth docked in the harbor and opened the entryway to let people on board. Tucking her sketchbook into her bag and taking out her ticket for the ferry, she headed towards the boat, Lumi gliding on ahead. Jenna handed the ticket to the man by the entryway before taking her things on board.
After being shown to her cabin, Jenna sat on the bed for a while, piling her stuff neatly in one corner. The journey would be a few hours long, so she hoped she'd find something interesting to do on the way to Florasia Island. Shrugging to herself, she stared out of the window and watched the far off waves. Maybe she'd meet some new friendly faces during the journey.

Miles sweated a bit. "I really hope you didn't just-" Amber's eyes opened wide. She got up and looked at Jikumo angrily. She used Yawn on Jikumo and Vulcan, then grumpilly went back to sleep. "Sorry about that...she get's angry if someone besides me wakes her up, for any reason."

Jikumo looked drowsy, but Vulcan wasn't affected, she sneezed and fire burst up, hitting Jikumo and waking him up as well. "Oh, man. A little warning next time?" He wiped the ash off his pants. "Anyways..." he leaned against the rail, "I wonder when we're ever going to leave, it's been hours since I got here."

Jenna remained silent, unsure of what to say to add to the conversation. She wasn't entirely sure what path she wanted to take... just as she wasn't sure what had gotten her the invitation to study at the academy in the first place. All she could do was have faith in herself that they had chosen wisely. Lumi at the very least seemed to have the utmost confidence in her, even if Jenna herself didn't always believe in her own abilities.

Fabio didn't want to seem rude but he wanted get away from all the people for a bit "get it was great meeting all of you and I hope to get to know you better, but at the moment I would like to think for a moment" he said smiling. He then walked if with Kishi to the bow of the ship and looked off into the waters contemplating about things that bothered him. He also was softly talking, barely above a whisper to Kishi, who always listened. Though he always put on a brave face, he was rather lonely and depressed and never had a true friend until Kishi.

Miles leaned back on the railing. "So, Jenna, any specific classes you're looking forward to? I'm wondering about what extra class I should take in 2nd year, myself..."

"I'm not sure actually..." she replied quietly before adding; "Though I decided to take the extra Flying type class that they offer because Lumi is half flying type."
At the mention of her name the cheerful, though somewhat hyper Emolga clambered onto Jenna's head. Jenna didn't seem to mind however, treating it as if it were a normal occurance.

Tetra noticed her trainer starting to lose focus; probably thinking of ways to "liven up" the boat ride, no doubt. she tapped Emma's head with her tiny foot, and Emma shook her head to wake herself up from her little "spacing out" episode. "Oops... Sorry!!!" She laughed sheepishly. "It's nice to meet you Fabio! See you around! I mean, I guess we'll all be classmates when we pass the entrance exams, so we'll see each other then!"

"So, Miles. This is your second year? Sorry if that's private or something." Jikumo had no idea this boat had second-timers. Vulcan yawned and tugged on Jiku's pant leg. "Cynda quiiiiil! (I'm so tiiiiired!)" Jikui nodded, "Well, we're gonna head to bed, it is getting pretty late. Night all!" Jikui and Vulcan headed towards their room and instantly collapsed on the bed.

Fabio turned around to Emma "oh hi" he said smiling he walked over to talk to her better "where are you from" he said making conversation and hopefully a new friend. He let Kishi down but would keep an eye on her this time.

Elliot grinned when he saw Lumi climb onto Jenna's head. "Sounds fun. I'm not sure if I want to specialise in a type. Psychic types are cool though..." Elliot rubbed his chin. "You know something? You and I...we're similar, aren't we? We both wear glasses, and our partner seems to like spending time on our heads." He chuckled a little. "I'll bet we may have more in common then I know at the moment..."

After a whole lot of studying, Adrian finally stepped out of his cabin, Aion hopping behind him.
Supressing a sneeze as he wasn't used to the sea air, Adrian leaned over the railing as he admired the flickering lights and shadows the sun left on the ocean's waves.
He then made up his mind and began wandering around the ship.

(Feel free to have anyone bump into him.)

Jenna smiled weakly at Elliot's statement, "Maybe."
Lumi blinked as she spotted a flying type Pokemon a short distance away. With a loud proclamation of "Emolga!" she leaped off of Jenna's head and glided over to where Aion was hopping along behind. Landing neatly, she ran a ring around the Hoothoot in her excitement. Lumi had always gotten on quite well with other flying types, despite her half electric typing. Jenna thought it was because there were no other electric types in the forest and so she always related to the flying types she encountered.

Jenna blinked as the Emolga began bothering the Hoothoot. Judging by the time of day she wasn't sure whether the nocturnal flying type would welcome it like the Pokemon in the forest usually did and so quickly jogged over to calm her partner.
"S-Sorry..." blinked Jenna, avoiding eye contact with the Hoothoot's trainer as she distracted the Emolga in an attempt to calm her hyperactiveness.

Initially the Hoothoot tried to follow the Emolga running around it with her eyes, but after a few turns Aion quickly gave up, having become rather dizzy in the process.

"It's no problem at all...", Adrian responded while readjusting his glasses.
"My name is Adrian. I'm trying to become a Ghost-type gym leader. And you are...?"

Jenna crouched down in order to gently pick Lumi up and save the Hoothoot from the whims of her Emolga partner. With Lumi now perched back on her shoulder, Jenna slowly moved her hand toward the Hoothoot, attempting to stroke the soft feathers on it's head. A soft smile graced Jenna's features before she stood back up.
"Jennifer..." she replied, her sienna eyes flitting from Adrian to his pokemon partner.

Aion obviously enjoyed the attention it was getting, softly cooing in response.

"A nice name...", Adrian remarked.
"I do believe we are in the same class, aren't we? Well...let's hope for a successful cooperation!"

A hint of a smile appeared on Adrian's face, although it quickly faded again.
