Ferry Journey to Florasia Island

People seemed to be gathering in Vermilion City's harbor. Which of these people were getting on the ferry to Florasia island, Jennifer didn't know. The second letter she had received, after accepting her place at Epochire Academy, had detailed the date and time of the ferry's departure. The S.S Aqua, which was currently docked in the harbor, would be leaving soon and the S.S Elizabeth arriving. It was part of Jenna's nature to be rather early, just in case something held her up on the way there, but now she had a rather long wait.
Lumi was perched on Jenna's shoulder. The Emolga rubbed her cheek against the side of Jenna's face in a sign of affection. Jenna smiled. At least she wouldn't have to wait alone. Taking a seat on a nearby bench, Jenna dug through her bags to find her sketchbook. She figured she could indulge her love for drawing whilst she waited.

A half hour or so later, the S.S Elizabeth docked in the harbor and opened the entryway to let people on board. Tucking her sketchbook into her bag and taking out her ticket for the ferry, she headed towards the boat, Lumi gliding on ahead. Jenna handed the ticket to the man by the entryway before taking her things on board.
After being shown to her cabin, Jenna sat on the bed for a while, piling her stuff neatly in one corner. The journey would be a few hours long, so she hoped she'd find something interesting to do on the way to Florasia Island. Shrugging to herself, she stared out of the window and watched the far off waves. Maybe she'd meet some new friendly faces during the journey.

"That's what I was counting on," she replied quietly, her sienna brown eyes still gazing out to sea. She seemed rather distant, not ignoring Elliot purposefully but it was as if she had other things on her mind. After a few moments, Lumi nudged her arm to bring her attention away from her thoughts.
Blinking, she finally responded to Elliot, "S-sorry... I'm Jennifer, and this is Lumi."

Chris chuckled as Lumi seemed to enjoy messing with one of the guys in the group, before gliding off. He turned and saw that Jenna and another boy who had gone over to them temporarily at the railing together. I'm sure they're fine, probably tired. He decided before looking back to the group.
"So, where are you all from?" He asked, trying to make conversation.

Fabio looked up upon hearing the question and said "I'm from Hearthome town in Sinnoh". He was getting a bit uneasy about the crowd of people, but was going to be polite so he smiled while holding Kishi in his arms. "It's beautiful there, and I love the contests, in fact I've been training to enter them someday…"

Jikumo walked over to where a small group had gathered, "Oh hey there, I remember seeing you guys on my way in here. Sorry, I was a bit hyper, I do that whenever I'm excited." He smiled shyly, Vulcan had skipped over to where they were and was sniffing their legs, "Cynda? (Who are you, are you friends?)"

Fabio gave an awkward smile he had nothing against people he just was getting boxed in. "Hi, I'm Fabio" he said. He let down Kishi to play with the other Pokémon and looked back up at the group, smiling. Meanwhile his Piplup, was down with the other Pokémon and she said "Pip!" (Hi!).

"Uh-uhm... Hi," responded Jenna after stumbling over her speech a little. She always rather disliked talking to new people due to the overlying pressure there always seemed to be of making a good first impression. That didn't mean however, that she wouldn't reply if someone spoke to her first.
Jenna crouched down to pet the Cyndaquil, feeling slightly calmer from the contact with the Pokemon. Lumi glided over and landed on Jenna's shoulder, uttering a short greeting to the Cyndaquil.

And just when it appeared as if all of the new prospective students had come forward, from a cabin that been otherwise unopened since the start of the trip, Emma Shaw suddenly burst forth with her partner, Tetra the Mudkip, on her shoulder. She wore a huge smile and she practically radiated energy. She dashed around until she found some people to bother and raced over to introduce herself.

"Hi there, fellow denizens of this planet!!!" Emma grinned widely. "My name is Emma Shaw, and this is my partner Tetra!" she exclaimed happily, gesturing to her shoulder. Tetra gave a happy "Kip!!!" in agreement. "I'm just a sheltered islander from Pacifidlog Town, and it sure is nice to meet some new faces!" she beamed.

Fabio heard the person yelling, to be honest he thought everyone heard it. Yet then again this was his type of person, outgoing like him (until he was stuck in a large crowd of people then he mellowed out a bit). Abruptly he picked up Kishi and said "Hey i'll go and see what that was about, nice to meet you all!" He them began inching out of the crowd and nearly fell on the way out "I'm okay…" he said as he awkwardly recovered from tripping. He then went over and saw a girl with a mudkip who he assumed was the one who yelled "Hello" he said standing up straight abruptly. "I'm Fabio Crowley and I'm pleased to meet you!"

Jikumo was about to tell Jenna that she didn't have to make a good impression with him, since he could see her discomfort, when suddenly a girl and her mudkip, whose names were apparently Emma and Tetra, came out of nowhere and introduced themselves. Rather loudly as well, "Hello, I'm Jikumo, and this is my partner. Say hello Vulcan." Vulcan licked Jenna's hand then said, "Cynda! (Hello!)"

Elliot smiled. "Nice to meet you, Jennifer. Glad you'll respond to my presence." He chuckled a little. He watched Lumi fly. "So, I see your pal here is quite friendly. Amber's freindly, too, when she's not asleep." He tilted his head, trying to think of other things a conversation can be about. "So...how did you get to this school we're heading off to?"

"Pleased to meet you, Jikui and Vulcan," she smiled nervously, rising up to her full -albeit rather short- height once more as Elliot asked her a question.

"I don't know...." replied Jenna, her voice inadvertently quiet, "As far as I know I haven't done anything impressive like I've heard some of the others here have..."

Lumi grinned widely, running in a circle around Vulcan before clambering back up onto her partner's shoulder.


(Btw Jenna said Jikui cause that's the name on your bio. I'm assuming it's the name you meant in your post.)

((OOC: Jikui is just a nickname that he uses instead of his real name, I use both sometimes because I can >xD))

Jikumo smiled shyly, "I'm sure you've done something great to be invited here." Jikui looked at her Emolga spinning around Vulcan. "Hmm? Oh, you want to know how I got here? All I did was beat some trainer in my city. He was ranked number 1. It's no big deal, really. He wasn't that good." Vulcan got dizzy and fell over, while Jikumo chuckled.

Ed was standing there watching the everyone talk to each other, Ed then turned his head and saw a girl the was a few feet from him and he blushed a little. Who is she and why did my heart start beating so fast? Ed felt confused and lost for a second and shook his head and found out he had a crush on that girl. Is this what it feels like falling in love to a person but I don't even know? He then ignored it and stopped blushing then let out a sigh as his Pokemon giggled a little.

Elliot shrugged. "Well, there has to be some reason...anyway, I was picked due to my battling ability. I hope to become a good trainer-breeder combo while I'm here." He turned to Jikumo and sneered a bit. "Nice of you to act as if I didn't exist." then chuckled to indicate he wasn't mad. "I'm Eliot, and the Eevee asleep on my head is Amber."

Jikumo sighed, "I was about to address you, but we were a bit interrupted, as you can tell." He held his hand out to shake Elliot's hand, "I'm planning to become a coordinator. Hi there Amber!" He waved to the eevee, "I love Eevees, they're so cute and fascinating!" Vulcan waved at the Eevee, smiling a bit.
