Ferry Journey to Florasia Island

People seemed to be gathering in Vermilion City's harbor. Which of these people were getting on the ferry to Florasia island, Jennifer didn't know. The second letter she had received, after accepting her place at Epochire Academy, had detailed the date and time of the ferry's departure. The S.S Aqua, which was currently docked in the harbor, would be leaving soon and the S.S Elizabeth arriving. It was part of Jenna's nature to be rather early, just in case something held her up on the way there, but now she had a rather long wait.
Lumi was perched on Jenna's shoulder. The Emolga rubbed her cheek against the side of Jenna's face in a sign of affection. Jenna smiled. At least she wouldn't have to wait alone. Taking a seat on a nearby bench, Jenna dug through her bags to find her sketchbook. She figured she could indulge her love for drawing whilst she waited.

A half hour or so later, the S.S Elizabeth docked in the harbor and opened the entryway to let people on board. Tucking her sketchbook into her bag and taking out her ticket for the ferry, she headed towards the boat, Lumi gliding on ahead. Jenna handed the ticket to the man by the entryway before taking her things on board.
After being shown to her cabin, Jenna sat on the bed for a while, piling her stuff neatly in one corner. The journey would be a few hours long, so she hoped she'd find something interesting to do on the way to Florasia Island. Shrugging to herself, she stared out of the window and watched the far off waves. Maybe she'd meet some new friendly faces during the journey.

Chris looked over at Fabio and nodded his head in thanks, smiling at the boy. He decided that Jikui's idea was probably the best way, though he would have rather avoided a fight he seemed to be into it now. Starting to follow behind Jikui, Tora also followed him.
"I'm not sure if this is going to be a three-on-three battle, but if you want to come that would be great. I mean it could be with there being three of them but I don't know." He told Fabio as he walked away. "Hey, you want to come too Jenna?" He asked also, not wanting to leave her out of things.

Fabio nodded, still maintaining the stern look," even if i cant fight i will make sure theres no foul play" he said "That is if you need me to be a ref" he smiled towards his friends and his partner Kishi.

Jenna watched as Lumi's cheeks continued to crackle with charged electricity.
"I'll come too..." she whispered, "I feel like Lumi wants to teach them a lesson..."
Jenna took a few hesitant steps before she walked over to Lumi, the Emolga scampering up onto her shoulder.
"All that charged electricity isn't good for you, Lumi," she frowned, scratching the Emolga's chin affectionately. Lumi gave Jenna an apologetic look, before uttering a cry of determination. Jenna nodded, "If you're sure..."
With a final nod from Lumi, Jenna seemed to wander at her own pace towards the battle area.

Ed shook his head a little, he was confused a bit but he did not bother him a little at happend he lets out a sigh. "Maybe I should leave." He said out loud and did not mean to say that. Ed you idiot why did you say that out loud so everyone can hear you! Ed thought to himself having no idea how that slipped out of his mouth.

At the battle arena, Jikui was staring defiantly at the three thugs. "You guys are reckless, you could've burned down the whole ship, y'know.." Sukyi grinned wildly, "Oh please, with this next pokemon I would've put out the fire, fool." He pulled out his pokeball and threw it into the air. A Poliwag came out of it and landed on the ground with a twirl. It seemed out of place next to the two Houndour next to it, but Jikui couldn't help thinking, "So..you're smarter than you look." Sukyi grinned again and pointed towards the doors, "As soon as those other three come along, we'll end this. If we win, you all have to bow to me for the rest of the year!" Jikui grinned in return, "And if we win, you have to stop bothering us, kapeesh?" Sukyi nodded, but he had his fingers hidden behind his back.

"Crossing fingers behind your back is not a fair way to do things," blinked Jenna. Her contact with Lumi and the ability to sense her partner's determination had given her the confidence to speak up for the first time. She had spotted the boy's trickery from a reflection in the windows behind them.
"You either agree of you don't. Simple as that. Now what is your answer?"

During the exchange Chris entered the battle arena, moving over to Jikui and taking a good look at the pokemon they would be battling. Two Houndour and a Poliwag. If Fabio or Jenna followed us like they said and participate we should be able to take care of this fairly easily. He quickly deduced, knowing that Fab's Piplup would have an advantage against the Houndour and Lumi could take care of the Poliwag. If Tora knew any electric-type moves yet she could, too bad she doesn't. Either way, this should work in our favor. He added, getting settled next to Jikui.
"Yeah, be honest about it guys. Unless you're just not confident in winning. Ready whenever you are." Chris commented, smirking and feeling confident in their chances of winning.

"Hey act like that during battle and you'll be disqualified!" Fabio said he didn't like the demeanor of these boys and would be watching for anything suspicious. His friends would not be taken advantage of. "Or do you want me to fight 3 against 2 isn't fair odds, but henna can fight, it's up to you guys".

Jikui nodded at the two, "Fabio, I'm gonna let Jenna battle this time, alright? I think her Emolga has some business to take care of." Sukyi growled, wide-eyed at the group, "H-how did you...dammit, fine! But we won't lost anyways! Poliwag, use Water Gun on Cyndaquil!" The two twins barked like their Houndours, telling them to use Ember on the other two. "Vulcan, dodge and use Smokescreen!" Vulcan rolled out of the way and blew smoke at the three pokemon, obscuring their vision.

"Got it!" Then Fabio began to watch the battle any sign of unfair action and he would end the match. He decided to have Kushi stand by just in case of things got messy and someone decided to be a sore looser. Fabio barely seemed to blink as he stood watching the elaborate battle begin. He was going to make it fair though, and would call out one of his new friends if they tried anything funny, though he doubted it would happen. But still he watched both sides with no bias only what was deemed fair and unfair mattered, this was mostly because Fabio was very observant and curios and could really be dragged into a conversation or a spectacle and he would analyze. He had no explanation but it could of been him growing up so lonely. His thoughts began to drift to those younger days but he shook them off he needed to focus.

Lumi probably can handle the Poliwag, working on the other two should be a good idea. "Tora, get in and use Tackle on one of the Houndour!" Chris told his partner. Tora nodded her head and ran over to the other three pokemon, heading through the smoke and towards the Houndour, hoping to land a hit. Chris kept his eyes open, examining the arena and looking for any extra ways he could exploit moves.

"Quick Attack, Iron Tail!" called Jenna. Her instructions were clear and concise, especially in comparison to her conversation with others. The Emolga nodded. Using Quick Attack to add to her already stunning speed, Lumi leaped into the air and sped towards the Poliwag, a streaming white trail behind her. She collided with the water type Pokemon, knocking it over before it had much chance to react. She then spun around, quickly hitting the Poliwag with her iron clad tail and dealing two speedy initial hits. The crackling electricity lit Lumi's way, enabling her to see through the blackness of the smoke.

Jikui smirked, his smokescreen worked like he hoped, the enemy couldn't see what they were hitting. But he needed his friends out of the way for this next move. "Everybody, get your pokemon out of there, I'm gonna try to end this!" Sukyi looked horrified, his Poliwag was no match for the Emolga's speed, "You two idiots! Use your embers on that Emolga!" The two Houndour couldn't see through the black smoke, though, and one of the was tackled, knocking the Shinx and Houndour out of the back fog. Poliwag was hurt, but the Iron Tail did almost no damage, being resisted by water. "Poliwag, use Hypnosis!" Poliwag's belly began to swirl, and since the Emolga was in such close range, it was a guaranteed hit. Vulcan began charging p it's flames, anticipating the combo Jikui was about to use.

"Thundershock!" called Jenna. Before the Hypnosis could fully take effect, Lumi released all of the electricity she had been charging since the three arrived on the scene. Being at such a close range to the Poliwag, it was a guaranteed hit, the electricity discharging as a vastly powerful jolt of blue electricity. Being at such close range, some of the electricity also found it's way to Lumi's fur, however she merely absorbed it, the electricity powering her Motor Drive ability.

Eliot blinked. Oh, man, not again. He hated when he spaced out during a conversation. He looked around, wondering where everyone had gone. He ran into the ship and soon arrived at the arena. "What's this? What's going on?"
