| That cough Sorren off guard. "BLARGAHAHGWAAH!" Sorren tried to say. "Oh I am SO going to use that one when i learn flamethrower."
Sorren shook the water off. It Hurt, but He could deal with it, the real problem was how it hurt his fire. Sorren thought of something though. He closed his eys and used focus energy. Instead of powring up his moves, He sent it inward to try and kindle his fire. The result was a bit of seam rising from him and a look of determination.
Sorren willed his fire into his mouth and let out a slightly weakened ember, but it wasn't something to laugh at. He then backed up, trying to provoke a close quarters attack.

| The Oshawott watched Sorren with interest as he sought to solve the problem of his doused inner flame. As she observed, she took mental notes from his behaviour so that she may be able to better help her fire type clients in the future. The signs were there that he was using focus energy, but it didn't seem as if he was using it to power up the move he was going to use, but rather rekindling the fire within him. Violet blinked nonchalantly as steam rose from the Torchic's person as a result.
With the production of the weakened ember, Violet couldn't help but flash a smile at Sorren, "You are incredibly resourceful," she commented, "Definitely a useful skill for a Guild member."

| "I've had to be. I was never very strong, but i spent most of my life inside doungeons. You have to learn to get creative if you want to survive." Sorren said. "At least all those years weren't a total waste."
Sorren stood his ground. He would wait for the Oshawott to make the next move. Sorren was impressed by Violet's moves. He had never seen a pokemon fight quite like that. It reminded him of how he fought. No wonder she owns a dojo.

| "Very true," she replied, her paws glowing a paler white than what they would appear normally as Violet used Copycat once more. With a swift motion using both paws, she sent an Ember of her own towards Sorren once more. However, she didn't stop there. Mere seconds after she had used the ember, she followed it with a short but wide burst of water, wondering how the Torchic would counter this new tactic. | |

| Sorren sucked in air, and decided to take the hit from the ember. Then used a narrow focused ember to turn the water to steam. Using the steam as a cover he jumped forward and did a forward flip to a downward scratch powered kick on Violet. | |

| Watching the Torchic's movements with a keen eye, Violet once again noted Sorren's quick thinking and daring. Not many pokemon she knew would prefer to take a hit in order to better counter the next incoming attack. In the layer of steam, Violet temporarily lost track of where Sorren was, catching sight of the bird-like pokemon's orange feathers and realising that he was above her mere moments before he would strike. She brought up her scalchop to protect herself, the shell once again absorbing most of the blow. | |

| "This is why I need arms, so i can punch and kick you at the same time." Sorren said, hopping back.
Sorren took a moment to think about his next move. He would have to try something new. He took a deep breath and let out a continuous ember attack. How would she deal with the constant barrage. and how long could sorren hold out keeping it up?

| "Well I don't know about that. If you had arms too I might be more wary of dodging your close attacks," replied Violet, a hint of amusement in her tone as she too hopped backwards, using the energy transferred from Sorren's kick-scratch to do so. As Sorren took a few moments to contemplate his next course of action, Violet replaced her scalchop on her chest, readying herself for what the Torchic might throw her way next. The Oshawott managed to dodge the first few bursts of ember, but soon resorted to using her type advantage in order to prevent herself from becoming trapped in a corner, dousing the barrage of Ember with her Water Gun. | |

| A simple ember was no match for water gun. That was for sure. Sorren gave up on that tactic and went in for close range attacks. He started going for short bursts of kicks, with intermittent embers being used to try and Throw Violet off balance. | |

| Though initially caught off guard by the varied barrage of attacks, Violet soon fell into a routine of countering the Torchic's physical attacks by either dodging or blocking with her scalchop and countering the embers with more of her natural water based abilities. The Oshawott moved around in such a way that when she'd dodge she'd lead Sorren to attack in circles, preventing either one of them from becoming trapped in a corner of the dojo building, but also slowly wearing him down. | |

| Sorren soon found himself in a rhythm of attacking, having it blocked and attacking again. Sorren was rather proud of his stamina, years of walking and living in doungeons does wonders for building stamina.
Instead of changing tactics, he started to find the rhythm of movements spinning and kicking and spitting fire. His opponent blocking and dodging each one, he moved faster with each blow, got closer to hitting each ember, and was starting to break the rhythm that was going, forging himself a new one.

| Training with many clients a day, as well as her own personal training meant that Violet too had much stamina. Anyone who watched the two of them spar would probably wonder how on earth either of them could keep up such quick and continuous attacks for such a long period of time. Neither one appeared to be making any leeway, though Sorren's attacks were getting faster. Having spared the Torchic from her watery attacks most of the duel so far, the Oshawott finally decided to break the chain of movements with an especially forceful Water Gun. With how close the two were dodging and attacking, locked in combat, it was an almost guaranteed direct hit. | |

| "UGH!" Sorren flailed backward, hitting the ground. The force of the Point blank Water gun had did a number on him, already weary from many attacks and the long close combat he finally had no more energy left to spare.
"Was wondering when you were going to pull that. I have to say, No one has ever kept up with me like that. Then again I mainly have wild pokemon to compare you to." Sorren said. "Do you have any towels? I don't think i can pull off that focus energy trick again."
Sorren oddly found that fight to be... enjoyable. He knew that the stakes weren't high, the price of loosing so bad, so it felt almost good to fight. That was a first. Sorren was happy for that. If he could enjoy battling it would make it that much easier to gain the strength he needed.

| "Well I am supposed to push you to your limits after all," replied the Oshawott with a good-natured chuckle, relaxing her stance as the friendly battle they'd been having ended, "What sort of a teacher would I be otherwise?" With a smile she then continued, replying to Sorren's request for a towel; "I'll go and fetch one for you."
Violet returned a short moment later with a white towel in her paws. Handing it to the Torchic, she watched him dry himself off, removing the water from his bright orange feathers.

| "I'm Telling you, I might as well chalk up half the will i have to get stronger from the will to get hands." Sorren said through his mouth as he pulled the towel around himself. "Can I schedule appointments or something? I'm probably going to be using this place a lot."
Sorren had done his best, he was still a bit damp, but he couldn't dry himself off any more. He had to admit that he was enjoying his time here, minus the almost setting a garden on fire thing. The air of the dojo was just something so familiar yet so foreign. This place, no this pokemon, the ideas she represented, That's what made this trip worth it. Sorren hoped he could come back and train as much as possible.
