Fire within your heart.

Fiery Chasm... The location to supposedly have a TM known as Flamethrower... An item that Jak had deemed necessary to learn Flamethrower... Learning it naturally just seems almost little to impossible at this rate. Something Obera had suggested he should acquire.

The travel to this fiery chasm would take some time to get there. Luckily Jak and his partner for this trip Obera, is almost at their destination. Being able to feel the heat from where they currently were. It was definitely getting hotter.

"Wonder how much further... It can't be much further... I can feel the heat from here." he said as he looked over to Obera as the two walked towards their destination.

Obera walked alongside Jak, she had her eyes closed and arms at her side as she walked. Obera took a sitrus berry from her small bag and ate it, she felt slightly fatigued due to not sleeping for a while, damn insomnia. She ate the berry quietly as she walked, she saw Jak look in her direction, Obera looked at him for a moment before setting her eyes back on the main road. Noel while talking to Obera had revealed she once found a Flamerthrower TM on this very mountain, Obera thought this was some good info and relayed it to Jak, afterwards they made their way here to procure the said item.

Obera checked her thoughts over again to see if she had missed any details, after being sure she was right she gave a soft smile and continued walking towards their destinations. The head by now was starting to get a bit obvious even to her, she felt more relaxed then she ever had in town, this place was most like her own home and she loved that. Yet she had a mission right now, best not to get sidetracked by anything.

Energy 18 (28-25+15)

Jak continued along the path alongside Obera. She seemed a little silent at the moment. However, Jak hadn't really known her to be very talkative in the first place. It was only when they actually were talking about something that a normal conversation was even possible.

Continuing along the path, the heat kept getting worse. Well in all honesty, it wasn't that bad. It felt good to Jak, and most likely good for Obera also. This was the closest thing to a natural habitat a fire lizard like them would live in.

Eventually an orange glow was visible in the distance. "I think we are here." Jak said as he looked from side to side. In some way, there was a glowing that was faintly visible all around. However it was much more obvious along the path ahead of them.

Obera stopped walking as Jak had, he pointed out the slightly obvious but she decided to ignore that for now. "It would seem so." Obera said as she looked around the area, it did seem like the right place so Obera was sure this'd be the place they'd get the item here, if not she's sure they'd find it eventually somewhere else.

"So do you want to lead." Obera asked having not been here before, she knew Jak hadn't been here before but she wanted to see how his leadership skills were, she felt those were important skill and while she had them doesn't mean her way was the best.

Jak looked towards Obera as she asked if he wanted to lead. "Sure." he responded simply as he continued along the path. As they got closer to the lava flows.

The heat eventually reaching its peak where they were at. However, even though that was as hot as it was going to get. Standing by the lava flows would obviously be hotter. Jak continued to walk along the land as the path was no longer clearly visible. It was a mostly flat land with few hills and a mountain not too far away. The mountain having an eerie red and orange glow as the constant eruption coming from it was visible from there.

Jak looked around for a moment as they walked. Keeping a close eye on his surroundings. He doubted there would be as many traps as there was when he visited the temple with Obera once. It was actually one of his first scary encounters... The shrinking walls could had killed them that day.

Obera walked alongside Jak, she puffed out a small flame in slight annoyence, she was bored right now nothing was going on, not that was a bad thing but she figured Jak would try and start a conversation as he normally did. Obera did have to take note he was looking around a bit more then he should considering the area they were in, there wouldn't be many traps. "
I don't think another wall's gonna crush us." Obera said thinking about how that had happened, she hoped it wouldn't happen again, would be strange if it did considering where they were, knowing their luck there was a temple here and they'd explore it.

Obera was slightly more alert right now, there was no real reason for her to be alert, considering her Ancient power she had a slight advantage over these fire types around here, they'd be ok, right?

Jak let out an uneasy chuckle as she stated that she didn't think a wall was going to crush them. "I wouldn't think there would be one to do so." he responded as they continued along the path. Jak immediately stopped moving as he heard paw steps from his side. He looked over towards the sound and saw the Growlithe standing there firmly. It seemed to let out a grin as if it found an old "Friend" of his. It then dashed off before anyone could attack it.

"hmm... I think he will be back." he said as he returned his focus to the path. Jak had a slightly unsettling feeling about that pokemon.

Obera had also looked over just in time to see the retreating fire type. "Gonna take a wild guess and say he's someone you know." Obera said wondering a few things, she thought of asking something but quickly decided not to, since Jak said he'd be back she figured he'd be back. Obera once again let out a small flame but as she did she saw something on the ground, Obera walked over and picked it up looking at the item in question, just a seed but a seed type she knew, you would not want to eat one of these while hurt, still it could serve as a small distraction so she decided to keep it around. "So, who was that exactly?" Obera asked wanting to be prepared for a fight or anything.

Energy 13 (18-5)

Jak looked over towards Obera as she asked him who it was. "I don't exactly know him... However, the one time I was here... When I was searching for you... A group of them attacked. Wasn't the easiest battle..." he responded as he sighed. "Considering half of them absorb fire." he added in a slightly annoyed tone. "However, I don't know if that is one of them." he said as he took a moment to look around as they walked. He then spotted some kind of band on the ground to the side of the path. As they got closer he strayed to the side and picked it up. "hmm. haven't seen one of these before." he said as he looked at it closer. Before he went to inspect it further he started walking alongside Obera once more.

"This is a zinc band. Correct?" he asked the shiny fire type. He did learn more about different items and their affects since they last met. However, it doesn't mean he has seen them all in person.

At some point, Jak heard a roar of flame come towards them from both sides. He quickly glanced at both directions and noticed to large torrents of flame approaching them from both angles. "Obera! Right!" he shouted as he quickly turned towards left and unleashed a fiery white beam of energy. The energy seemed to collide with the torrent of flame directly. His dragon's rage quickly beginning to push against the torrent.

The torrent eventually ceased and the pokemon behind it was engulfed in the rage. Once he stopped, he noticed the cyndaquil on the ground there.

"You looked for me here?" Obera questioned as she looked around the area once more, she wondered why she'd come here except just to feel a bit more at home. Obera looked over when he brought out an item. "Yes, i think that is one." She said giving the item a short look, she took note of the approaching Pokemon and had brought her hand up using her ancient power to block the torrent of flames, waiting a moment she then threw the rocks at whoever decided to be man enough to attack her. hitting the Pokemon dead on and dealing more damage due to type advantage the Pokemon was quickly down. "Fool." Obera said with a small smirk

Jak nodded at Obera's question, "Yes... I had looked everywhere I knew, and places I thought you might be." he said with a slight smile.

"This is also the place I found that weird stone..." he said as returned his view towards the path. As usual, the path seemed to glow slightly from the intense heat the surrounding lava gave off. Jak then began to walk forward, glancing back to be sure that Obera was coming also.

The ground radiating its heat, seemed to never end. Even though it felt natural for Jak to be here. He sort of felt bad for anyone that can't take this kind of heat. To him, it felt marvelous.

"Places i might be, well you got close, this does resemble my homeland, sorta" Obera said, her land was more of an controlled chaos rather then this, just plain normal chaos, she didn't like that type. When she heard him say something about a stone she thought a bit to herself, what stone would seem so good you'd remember it. While thinking about this Obera couldn't help but wonder about two other Pokemon, ones she promised she'd help out, since her return she hadn't seen the first two. "Wonder if they're ok" Obera mumbled softly to herself, she had to slightly care considering they were not that strong.

Jak looked over towards Obera as she stated that this place resembled her homeland in some ways. Jak nodded slightly as if to acknowledge this. "You never really told me what your home looked like. Just that is was far from here." he said in response to her statement. At some point Obera said something completely out of nowhere to herself. Just barely hearing it himself, but just clear enough to hear the words "if" and "ok" clearly. Putting the words together, he guessed that she was worried about something.

"Something wrong?" he asked her as he looked over towards the shiny fire type.

"Huh" Obera said looking at Jak. "It's nothing, just thinking about some little kid i met in ShadowHue." Obera said in her normal tone, she didn't really hate nor mind the small Pokemon that had apparently named her its teacher, she wouldn't tell anyone this, mostly because her entire cold personality would probably be shattered if someone even saw a glance of her 'Apprentice'. Hyper active little fox is what he was. "Just forget about it."

Jak listened to Obera's response intently. However it seemed she didn't want to share the full details of what was troubling her. It wasn't like she was hiding a completely different perspective on her personality right? Even if it was, Jak wouldn't mind at all. He sorta knew that somewhere inside, she cared for things. It just came out differently than what others would normal do.

"As you wish... Just remember that I am here if you want to talk about it." he said with a smile as he continued to walk along the pathway.

At some point the river of lava crossed right across the entire path. This forced them to have to stop for a moment unless they were up for a swim. To the charmeleon, it would probably be the equivalent of taking a really hot bath that was just bearable to others. Jak stopped for a moment to look along the river to see if there was any rock formations that led across the river before thinking about going in.

Sometimes a river of lava is too hot to cross. It really did depend on how long it has been on the surface from where it traveled sometimes. "Seems like a dead end if we don't plan on going in... See anything we can cross over? We might have to tread though though if we can't"
