Two Fire Types

Jake decided to go to the Fiery Chasm to see some more Pokemon, but so far he hasn't seen any. "Man, where are all the Pokemon?" Jake said under his breath. That's when he saw a Cyndaquil.

"Hey, who are you?" Said the cyndaquil, who looked out of breath. He seemed suspicious of the tepig,
looked frayed.

"I'm Jake!" The Tepig exclaimed. "What's your name?" Jake was hoping for a wild Pokemon, but beggars can't be choosers.

"H-hi, my name is Reo, also, I'm hunting for rare items. What are you doing here?"
The cyndaquil looked around, as if being watched.

"I'm looking for some wild Pokemon to fight!" Jake replied. "Maybe I could help you find some rare items."

"Yeah, m-maybe I could help you find some wild pokémon as well!" Reo said nervously.

Jake then heard some movement behind him. "Get down!" Jake exclaimed.

As Reo ran to get away, he saw the two Pokémon were a Cranidos and a Makuhita, Not too big of a threat, but still, it's a good idea to avoid trouble, in case of backup being called.
"What now, Jake?" Reo whispered.

"You get the Makuhita," Jake said, "I'll get the Cranidos." The Tepig then used his only move that would do a lot of damage to a Rock Type, Magnitude. It hit the Cranidos and it retaliated with Take Down, but got hurt by recoil. That mistake just knocked it out.

"Got it." Reo charged for the Makuhita, rushing into with tackle. The makuhita retaliated by grabbing Reo. Reo was then tossed up in the air by Vital throw. As he was falling, Reo used leer on the Makuhita. It's readied attack was lost, and Reo slammed into it with a tackle.
"So how did you learn magnitude? Your dad?" Reo asked, confused.

"Yep!" Jake replied. "I got it from an Egg Move. I wanted to come here so I could perfect it!" Jake looked around some more. "Hey, an item!"

"Huh, a zinc band" Reo said, incredibly relieved that Jake didn't ask what his egg move was. "You found it, so it's yours!" Reo chirped.

Jake took the Zinc Band with glee. "Thanks!" Jake looked around but he didn't spot any more items.

Ok, so- Oh there they are! The "stairs" are right over there!" Reo exclaimed happily. "Let's go already!"

Jake headed towards the "Stairs" with Reo and entered. When he got up, he saw some more Pokemon. "Not again." Jake sighed.
