| "Wasn't boasting, just have a habit of shouting when I mean to speak in battle. Anyway I'm done. There isn't much more I could do, And I'm almost at my limit." Sorren said.
He found a bit of a more dry spot and then sat down. Finally out of battle the Whole thing rushed through him. He gasped, but held. He would not cry. Sorren's breaths came out heavy. He was lucky he didn't have any exposed flame like other fire pokemon, or the two water guns would have really done a number on him. as it stands he had sustained damage he could recover from, but most of his energy was spent getting his body dry and his internal flame burning brightly again.

| "Fair enough," replied the Oshawott with a small smile. Sorren was definitely a talented soul, but it appeared -judging by his current state- that he was not at all as confident as he would first let on, and Violet had first thought. He seemed to be quite concentrated and calm during their battle, but now it was almost as if he was suddenly falling apart. "How about a slice of that pecha pie whilst you recover?" she suggested with a grin, quite fancying a slice herself since she hadn't had chance to finish the slice she had cut earlier due to Sorren's arrival. She hoped that sitting down and having a conversation over a slice of pie would also calm the Torchic down and give him time to recuperate. | |

| "Sure, I could use that right about now." Sorren said in between breaths.
Sorren considered doing some endurence training. He obviosly was prety weak to water, witch was understandable, but one full power and one partail power water gun shouldn't be all it took to take him down.
"So," Sorren said after a moment of thought "What's your story?"

| Violet nodded and left the Torchic where he was to go and fetch two slices of the pecha pie from an adjacent room, placing each one neatly on a small china plate. She re-entered the dojo's main room and sat down on the sandy floor next to Sorren, passing him one of the plates with a slice of pie on them. "Story? You mean, how did I end up here running a dojo?" she asked between a mouthful of her home made pecha pie, hoping for a little clarification on the question he'd asked. | |

| "Yeah, Everyone has a story to tell, That's what my mom always said." Sorren elaborated before pecking at his pie. "Mmm so good, been a while since I had pie."
Sorren Looked up at the sky for a second, before remembering that the Dojo had a ceiling, and ate more of his pie. Pie had always meant change for the Torchic, It was like a good omen of things to come, he could see no better snack to have when training.

| "I suppose everyone would have a story to tell. Mine isn't really very interesting. My father died and me and my mother headed to Grassveil to start a new life. She moved on to stay in Rainfront Town and I stayed here to follow my own path," she explained briefly, not going into much detail but giving Sorren a little idea of her history. "How about you?" she asked, hesitating on a bite of her slice of pie in order to speak without it sounding like a bunch of unidentifiable words, "What's your story?" She was genuinely curious, as she often was with her clients. Though she'd often try not to pry into their personal information, Sorren had given her a free ticket to ask when he'd asked her about her own history. | |

| "Well... My parents were killed, And I was living out of dungeons for a long time, Convinced i could get stronger and somehow take down whoever killed my family, Spent years like that, Until I found my way to Grassveil. I learned about the guild and it sounded like a better option then what I was doing at the time, so I signed up, and hear I am. You're probably going to see a lot of me, that is if you are any good as a trainer." Sorren explained, finishing his pie.
He had left out quite a few details, and lied about some things, but it was mostly the truth. It was all he would let anyone know, at least for now. Sorren flinched, his habit of looking up at the sky was catching up to him at the worst times.

| Violet finished her own slice of pie as she listened to Sorren recap his story. She always tended to eat rather slow, savouring the taste of the food she ate rather than speeding through a meal like she knew some pokemon did. "I like to think that I can help others reach their fullest potential," blinked the Oshawott between licking her paws clean of the sugar and pecha berry that had become attached to them whilst she ate, "Though I admit i'm not the strongest of pokemon yet, and it's something i'm still working on as the days go by." She turned to Sorren and collected his empty plate with a smile, "But you can only do your best, right? And hope that your best is enough... and if not, seek to improve." | |

| "Right, then let's get to it!" Sorren said, standing up. "what's next?"
Sorren was feeling much better, and while he wasn't 100%, he was fired up and ready to get to work. He would get stronger and stronger until he reached the top, Nothing would stop him. Nothing could stop him from forging his fire into something stronger.

| "Alright then!" grinned Violet, also getting to her feet, "You said you wanted to learn Ember right? How about we try that. I'll just take these plates into the other room and then we can try and help you focus on your inner flame. I think for that it'll be beneficial to go out into the garden," she smiled, "You seem to like looking at the sky anyhow. I think it'll help you concentrate." The Oshawott quickly headed into the adjacent room, leaving the dirty plates somewhere in clear view so she'd remember to wash them later. She then lead Sorren out into the dojo's garden; it had been completely grown and created from scratch by Violet whilst the dojo was being built. "Have a wander around and pick a place you like," she smiled. | |

| "Are you ok? We are going to be training me to use fire, in a garden? doesn't that seem a bit... dangerous?" Sorren asked, trying to find a spot as far away from any flowers as possible.
Seeing the open sky made him feel better, but he was still twisted up in knots worrying. He had always feared and respected fire, Even if it was his own element. This was going to be a big step up for him.

| "No need to worry about that yet. Out here you'll just be meditating to try and concentrate and focus on your inner flame. Once you've done that, we'll move back inside so you can actually try producing fire," she explained, hopefully quelling the Torchic's fears. Even if he did set the garden on fire, there would be no danger of it spreading quickly since Violet would just put it out with her water gun move. She had however, never intended to use fire out in the garden; it was just a preferred place for meditation, being very quiet and tranquil. | |

| "Ok... uh, how do I meditate?" Sorren asked, He expected something with a bit more... action.
Still, It was a peaceful place. And trying something new wouldn't kill him (Despite what the little voice in his head said otherwise). So He waited on the Oshawott for instructions.

| "You sit and you clear your mind. Whether you close your eyes or stare at the sky is your choice, as long as you can clear your mind and empty it of all thoughts," replied Violet, gently sitting down on a patch of soft grass opposite the Torchic after he chose a spot to meditate in. "And once you've done that, I want you to try and focus on your inner flame. As you'll already know, it is the source of your fire power, and it will probably never go out. You need to feel it and get a sense of it's power." | |

| "I remember my mom called it the Ember, the spirit of fire. alright." Sorren said, sitting down.
Think of nothing. nothing. not a thing...
time seemed to stand still. With each beating of his heart, Sorren could feel his flame being fanned. The power of warmth and safety, brimstone and destruction. The fire roared with anger and smoldered with sadness. Crackled with laughter and sizzled with pain. The spirit of fire.
The wind picked up, as if Sorren were feared by the elements themselfs. as if they regarded him with respect the same way fire does.
And then he sneezed.
Sorren openned his eyes just in time to see a projectile of burning snot coming out of his nose. before he could blink, a rosebush was on fire.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"
