The Beginning of an Ambiton

The little Dwebble gazed longingly at the entrance to her new life. Her earthy shell felt light for once and her feet seemed to barely touch the ground. She'd never remembered being so exited for something. For the first time in a while, she was speechless, struck by the awe and magnitude of this moment.
Of course, that didn't last long. It never does.
"Hello?" She yelled into opening. "Is anyone there? HELLO?!"

Chuckling as she heard the name, the guildmaster made note of it before placing the book back in its shelf. Following that, the smile on her face grew wider once more as she began to speak:
"Okay, dearies. You are now officially a team! Now to get you equipped..."
Using her vines the guildmaster retrieved one of the larger bags from the wall, setting it down on the desk between the five of them.
"Now, sweeties, this is your Treasure Bag. Inside you will find your Explorer Badges, your Wonder Map and a little surprise. So, would you like to familiarize yourself with it now, or would you prefer for us to get the four of you a room first?"

(The surprise is a ribbon for each team member in the colour of their choice, just like the ribbon at the start of PMD Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky.)

Pyrra personally wanted to familiarize herself with their Treasure Bag, but figured it could wait if the others wanted a room first. She turned to Garnet without voicing her opinion, though.

"personally, I want the blue one." Announced Minato. "wow, I'll be the best chikorita ever with a fancy blue ribbon!'

Garnet dug through the large, slightly worn bag. She imagined her fathers old pouch, stained and burned and dripping with some fluid, yet preciously cradling the items held inside. She dug past the remaining ribbons, yellow and white, and found a red one nestled at the bottom of the bag. She gracefully picked it up, careful not to slice through it with her claws. She gingerly slipped her father's bracelet off her wrist and thread it through her crimson sash. Then she tied it around her neck
"A good luck charm" she murmured gently to herself, though she'd read enough books to know that it did more than that. In fact she could feel herself growing stronger through the energy the ribbon radiated. She was ready to kick some serious butt.

Omega opened the bag and looked inside. There was a map, which he nestled safely into a pocket of his cloak, and took out the badge and a white ribbon. fastening the ribbon and badge to the inside of his cloak, Omega folded up the bag which and tucked it away into a pocket. It was some new possessions that he'd never throw away.

"So, dearies, are you ready so we can get to getting the four of you a room now or would you like some more time, dearies?"
As the newly-founded team dug through the contents of the back, Faye found herself reminded once more of her own time as an explorer. Her gaze wandered over to the old ribbon on her desk as memories of a past long over resurfaced again. What would become of these Pokémon once they were to set out on their journeys? Would they become famous explorers? Treasure hunters?
Only time would show...

Pyrra peered into the bag and pulled out a golden-yellow ribbon, which she presumed to be hers. There was a simple badge, which she affixed to the ribbon before tying it around her neck as she would a bandanna. She was more interested in the Wonder Map, which was probably mostly blank so far. There would be time to inspect it later together, though. She was ready to see their new quarters.

Minato stuck his ribbon on the middle of his bulb necklace. "BAM!" he said with delight. "Doesn't it look good? Anyways, let's go to our new room!"

Garnet next investigated the pin. It was another relic of exploration that resembled her fathers. She didn't want to stick it on the sash, she thought it would ruin it. So she scratched out a gash in her dark brown shell and stuck it there. She thought that it probably wouldn't adhere, but it did. She knew this rescue badge would drive fear into the heart of scumbags.
This whole bag felt sanctimonious.
She left the map where it was. She'd read enough books on geography to know roughly where everything would be.
Her limbs felt heavy at the prospect of sleep not brought on by an intense battle.
"Onward" she cried, though the ribbon and badge had humbled her voice, making Faye barely hear it.

"I'm tired, why don't we get a room and some food to eat. Out team's made, we're all hungry and tired, we have all our stuff now, we should probably get resting, it's already starting to get dark out." Omega himself was shocked by that, he hadn't realized that by the time they were all finished, the sun was just starting to set. He didn't really feel tired, he'd been through worse, but it was always nice to rest. He stretched for good measures.

"Very well then, dearies.", Faye smiled.
"Let's get you a room! If you would please follow me?"
After a quick tour through the guild, filled with the guildmaster explaining the functions of the various facilities within, the quintet reached the corridor they had started from again. This time however they went a bit farther, walking to a wooden door in the corridor wall, which had been opened by Faye with her vines.
"So, this would be your room, sweeties. I know, that it doesn't look like much, but you're free to decorate it however you like. And to be honest most teams aren't at the guild most of the time anyway. They usually only use these rooms to sleep. By the way, I would suggest going to bed early today. Tomorrow's going to be an exciting day for the four of you. Now, if none of you have any further questions, I think we're done here, dearies."

Pyrra looked around the simple room. It was much nicer than what she was used to- for starters, it had proper beds of straw. She walked over to the one farthest from the door and settled her bag of poké next to it as a means of claiming it, as she so often had when still travelling with her family. Shaking her head (in a swirl of purple) to clear her thoughts, she turned to the others. "I don't suppose any of us have even had lunch yet, have we?" she said, while also feeling tiredness pulling at her muscles after waking up earlier than usual.

Minato plumped right on the bed. "Man, I hadn't realized that I was so tired," Minato said while stifling a yawn. "But really, I am hungry! Don't you have some berries lying around this place? Even an Oran would do. But no sitrus berries, I'm allergic to those. But really, I'd like a nice, hot bowl of Ramen, or a big fat jar of honey..." Minato began rambling on about various foods. "Maybe we'll just have a big, yummy Breakfast tomorrow!"

Garnet gingerly laid her charm beside her, so it wouldn't hurt her as she slept. She dully realized that this escapade took an entire day. But that thought was far from important to her, she'd just found a fluffy bed, next to Minato, and in the perfect place to sun herself. She also laid her pack down, and found the edges of her vision darkening due to exhaustion. Her legs slipped out from under her and she slept, dreaming of stories and battles,
and as always, that one dream.

Everybody was already asleep, but as always, Omega couldn't sleep. It wasn't unusual for this to happen, he liked being able to have some more time to gather his thoughts. He tiptoed out of bed and climbed out of the window and onto the roof, where he sat down. When did he start doing this? Ah, yes, it was after that disaster, when his village was attacked by a raging Abomasnow. He hadn't had a deep sleep after that. He was always alert, the last to sleep and the earliest to wake. Nothing much. It was strange, but then, he realized he was sleepy, for the first time in years, so he climbed back down, and into bed. He wondered if he could have a nice, sound sleep for once. And with that, he closed his eyes and slept.
