Shattered Ruins

Jak {8} ^{-15 from entry}


Jak and Noel venture deeper into the cave to visit the ruins. One could only describe the placed as having all the rocks shattered there. The ruins where quite large. Jak had never expected something this big to be in a place like this. One thing he noticed is that the ruins had a silver glow in certain spots from bits of light coming through some unknown place. It seemed it might be reflected from someplace in the tunnels. 

"This place... Feels hostile..." Jak said as he shivered slightly.
He turned towards Noel seeing if there was an explanation to this...

He then looked towards one of the tablets near him that seemed to be split in two.
It was in footprint runes and in unknown symbols.

Description of why pieces are unreadable:

It reads: "Behold, Silent Temple. May those who ~Unreadable~ Disturb those ~Unreadable~ Beware..."

Jak stared at it trying to interpret the rest of the message.
He looked to Noel to see if she could understand the damaged bits.

Noel didn't even have hey eye's open she knew she'd cry if she stopped and opened them. She didn't want this she didn't want to know this all this info she had stuffed away in the back of her mind was all coming out as she held her eye's closed. They were not far from the temple somehow Noel had managed to run around Shadowhue in a few minutes as she fell down again she couldn't take this she didn't want to deal with this. She was back near the grave.

As Jak finally caught up with Noel he noticed we were right back where they had started. Noel had fallen down as she didn't want to deal with the memory.

Jak could only imagine the thoughts that were going through her head right now. She had looked up to her mother as a hero. Having something shattered like that is the completely opposite of one's belief. It would wreck havoc on their mind. Jak realized he was breathing pretty heavy as he had stopped. That was probably the fastest he had ever attempted to run. Just to keep up.

"Noel..." He said softly. He truly did not know what to say now. He was afraid any word could cause even more grief. The Mawile was still be the grave. It looked over and noticed Noel on the ground. Covered in tears. The Mawile looked at Noel with sad eyes. It then came over and stood there next to Jak as it watched Noel. Jak was becoming quite sad as he did not know what to do. The Mawile came towards Noel and embraced her. "Past hurts." it said slowly as it continued to have noel in its embrace... It was also crying.

Noel didn't even notice Jak nor the Mawile all she wanted to do was cry there and do nothing she had nothing left to her. Her personality her cockiness her joking attitude was all gone and all that was left was the one part Noel wanted to cut away her sadness.

"Past hurts a lot more when you just realized it was a lie" she's said as she stopped crying and punched the ground. It was a hard punch to make a huge indent on the ground with Force palm she was putting her entire power into the punch she wasn't tired from the run nor was she tried from the punch.

"I need to be alone right now" she said as she ran off and jumped off the edge landing on the other side which was a large drop as she speeds off

The mawile let go as soon as Noel had punched the ground. "Past hurts a lot more when you just realized it was a lie." she said as she stopped crying. There was a huge indentation in the ground. She had used forcepalm on the ground either accidentally or on purpose either way... There was not a indentation there. She then stated she needed to be lone at that moment and she jumped off the edge of the landing.

"Noel...." He said softly as Noel ran off.
The mawile looked at Jak with sad eyes and sat down. He also sat down. "I... I don't understand what happened. It had to have been something very upsetting to her for that. I have seen her be so strong and stay focused in there and through the forest..." he said with his head down. The mawile just sat there listening.

He looked up to the mawile. It remained there and listened. It was still apparent that it was sad about its friend. However it seemed worried about Noel from the looks. It wanted to help her but didn't know how. It wanted to help her because Noel had helped it.

Jak looked at the mawile and stated he had to go. "Sorry. I have to get going." It nodded as Jak left. He walked through the forest back to town. Wondering what could he have done to help Noel. He did not expect to see her for a while...
