An Autumn Quest

A small Vulpix was sitting by the edge of a lake, her head dipped as she drank in the cold, fresh water. The Fox Pokemon seemed relaxed, at peace besides the lake, which almost seemed to have been dyed red and orange from the perpetually Autumn island. It was clear what had drawn the young explorer here, rumors of treasure and a new Mystery Dungeon. And for once, those rumors had proven true.

It had been something of a trip to get here, a three day long walk through Serene Cave. But it was already worth the journey. Who knew what was waiting to be found here? If she was lucky, then maybe she could be one of the ones who found something. Even if she wasn’t, well, she wouldn’t have really minded. Wasn’t half the fun in these things trying to find the treasure in the first place? Assuming there was a treasure to be found, anyways.

And so Lumina sat up, her guild bag slung over her back and a light blue Heal Ribbon wrapped around her right forepaw. She stepped gingerly over a path of stepping stones, cautiously trying to not fall in the water. She knew how to swim just fine, but being in water for too long might be harmful to her, being a fire type and all.

As she neared the island, she gazed into the forest, trying to tell what might lie ahead. She shifted her Treasure Bag, taking in the scent of the crisp Autumn leaves. Whatever was waiting for her, she would be ready.

He looked at Noel nodding as he ran over to some nearby bushes, waiting for them to do their thing, he just hoped that he would also be able to fight aswell, it was good training for him, and knowing that there was a Thunder Stone was refreshing to him, he just had to be carefull about not getting hit with poison again, cause that was a very unpleasent experience, or getting hit by any attack in general.

The Vulpix wordlessly walked in the opposite direction that Noel had. She was content with this plan. It felt good to have a plan for once, honestly, and she was pleased to give these feral Pokemon a taste of their own medicine. Ideally, she could take out the one in the tree without it's allies noticing, though that might be a bit difficult without Noel's aura sensing to tell exactly what and where her enemy was. But she could definitely try.

She took the path that the Lucario had pointed to, and with a single leap, she had landed on a low branch in the tree. At first glance, her orange fur blended into the leaves of the tree, which the vixen was silently grateful for. She jumped onto another branch, the thick branch bending slightly under her weight, and that was when she noticed a Phantump above her. She formed a small, purplish-black orb in front of her chest and fired it towards the ghost type, confusing it. With it unable to focus on her, she tackled it with Flare Blitz. The attack didn't do as much damage as it could've, since she didn't have much room to run or gain momentum, but the flames still damaged the ghost and grass type. She finished it by biting down on one of it's 'horns' and throwing it down from the tree, it's helmet making a soft 'thud' as it hit the ground, the noise slightly muffled by the fallen leaves. Hopefully Noel would notice her aura and know that the Vulpix was in position.

Noel sneaks along the branches not making a sound as she nears the Pokemon strangely it was a dustox who was just flying above the branches as Noel makes her way closer then force palms the Pokemon down as she stops it from hitting the branch and throws it away hoping Raze out take that as a signal to go on.

Noel looked over and saw lumina well her aura but that was good enough for Noel as she waited for Raze to drag the rest out

He stayed in place as he watched their movements, seeing that they were in position, he slowly walked through the bushes, ready for whatever Pokémon that were in those trees, he took a few steps closer but he stood a fair distance away from the Pokémon that was using Fake Tears, as a Poison Sting was shot down in front of his feet, he looked up, seeing a Beautifly fly above high in the sky, as a Wurmple and another Phantump appeared from the trees, and the Sawsbuck got up on it's paws, turning to Raze, the Pichu's electricity was sparking, he was ready to fight.

Lumina did a quick count of the remaining Pokemon. Only four of them, that wasn't too bad. She'd faced worse odds before and pulled through, anyhow. With the three of them, they were hardly outnumbered. The Vulpix leapt down from her perch on the branch, her fur glowing with a soft orange aura as she used Flare Blitz once more to charge into the Wurmple. The smaller bug type couldn't move quickly enough to prevent the Vulpix from charging into it, letting out a panicked squeak as it went skidding across the leafy ground.

Noel jumps down and hits the deer with her legs as she grabs him by the antlers and throws him into a tree nearby as it gets up and charges at her again she uses force Palm to launch it backwards back into the tree as the flying but tries to hit her she avoids the attAck and kicks the Pokemon over to the deer as she stands before her opponents waiting for one to attack her

He looked up at the Beautifly, seeing that it had the height advantage, but unfortunatly for it, it was still able to be hit by Raze's electrical attacks, as Raze fires a Thunder Shock, hitting it, making it's wings unusable, it crashing to the ground as it was hit again by Raze's Volt Tackle, knocking it out.

Lumina finished off the Wurmple with another Flare Blitz. There was a sharp pain in her chest in protest to using the move twice in a row, but she forced herself to ignore it. The second Phantump flew towards her with a startling cry, using Astonish to ram into the Vulpix, though she recovered swiftly and responded with a Fire Spin. The ring of flames swirled around the ghost type, and though the Fox Pokemon used the move at close enough range for her own fire to hurt her, she instead harmlessly absorbed what flames latched onto her fur. She backed away, looking over at Raze and Noel to make sure that they were alright.

Noel looks at the sawsbuck as it charges at her once again and with the same attack it was down on the ground fainted Noel kicked it once to make sure it was down for the count as she looks over to the ring of fire surrounding the ghost type as she ran over thinking of something as she uses her force Palm sending a wave of air and fire right at the ghost type as all the flames of the vortex seem to be pulled by the air and crash into the ghost

The Pichu looked at the other two, they seemed to have taken care of the other feral Pokémon with no trouble at all, "The plan seemed to have worked well." All they needed to do now, was to find the evolution stone, perhaps there would be other items that were with it aswell, but it looks like his parents weren't around here either, he began to think about where they could be... perhaps they were in a more distant place.

Lumina kept a close eye on the Phantump until she was sure that it had fainted. Then she turned back to Raze and Noel. "Agreed... that went fairly smoothly. Now let's see what we have for items." She figured that all these feral Pokemon must've brought something with them, perhaps loot from other explorers they had robbed in the past? Besides, Noel had just said there was a Thunder Stone here somewhere.

Noel calms herself down as she looks over and sees the stone in question she walks over and picks it up holding the stone up and points at it "right here" she says as she walks back over to them and shows the stone in her hand as she points with her other "there is also a few more items that way" she says as she looks over she noticed a ribbon made of gold and thought that was strange.

Raze looked at Noel, who had the Thunder Stone, it a certain gleam to it, which fascinated the Pichu, he could feel it's power, it was... refreshing, "May I have that?" He asked Noel, he had no idea why they would want it, perhaps to give it to a friend, but he asked just to make sure that they didn't want it, he didn't wanything else, just that evolution stone.

The Vulpix sat down, a small smile on her face. "I'd say it's fine if you want it. You're the only one out of the three of us who can use it, after all." She pointed out. She hadn't considered that Raze might not know he could use it to evolve into a Raichu sometime in the future, but when this thought hit her, she quickly shrugged it off. If anything, maybe she had just helped the Pichu by informing him of this. She looked over the rest of the items before picking up the Blast Seed and putting it in her bag.

Noel let out a small laugh and stuck her tongue out at the two "nah I think I'll keep it" she says but her laughing gave it away that she wasn't serious and handing the stone over while she talked helped also as she looks and picks up the golden scarf not knowing what it would be good for but liked that it was shiny and felt like it was good for something she didn't know what but something.

Noel then yet out a small cough she was still slightly feeling that kick she got from the deer when they first got here but she was fine, she didn't really want anything else but she take one of the gummies for herself for no real reason
