An Autumn Quest

A small Vulpix was sitting by the edge of a lake, her head dipped as she drank in the cold, fresh water. The Fox Pokemon seemed relaxed, at peace besides the lake, which almost seemed to have been dyed red and orange from the perpetually Autumn island. It was clear what had drawn the young explorer here, rumors of treasure and a new Mystery Dungeon. And for once, those rumors had proven true.

It had been something of a trip to get here, a three day long walk through Serene Cave. But it was already worth the journey. Who knew what was waiting to be found here? If she was lucky, then maybe she could be one of the ones who found something. Even if she wasn’t, well, she wouldn’t have really minded. Wasn’t half the fun in these things trying to find the treasure in the first place? Assuming there was a treasure to be found, anyways.

And so Lumina sat up, her guild bag slung over her back and a light blue Heal Ribbon wrapped around her right forepaw. She stepped gingerly over a path of stepping stones, cautiously trying to not fall in the water. She knew how to swim just fine, but being in water for too long might be harmful to her, being a fire type and all.

As she neared the island, she gazed into the forest, trying to tell what might lie ahead. She shifted her Treasure Bag, taking in the scent of the crisp Autumn leaves. Whatever was waiting for her, she would be ready.

More Pokémon? He hoped that they wouldn't be feral, but by the time he has spent in dungeons like these he highly doubted that, he prepared as best as he could if a battle were to break out again, even if he was weakned from the poison, as he slowly followed Noel.

Lumina sat back, so to speak, letting Noel lead the way. The Lucario was probably the most powerful of them, after all, it only made sense that she was the first one into danger. Though the Vulpix didn't like to think of herself as an escort, either, she could handle herself if the need arose. She wasn't sure about Raze yet, having not seen him too much in that last battle, but she assumed that the electric Pokemon also knew how to defend himself. Then she perked her ears, hearing a strange noise... it almost sounded like crying. "Do you two hear that...?" She questioned, her brown eyes narrowed. She was instantly on her guard, this could be the feral Pokemon just trying to lure them into a trap. Plus, this wouldn't have been her first encounter with Fake Tears.

Noel walked along as the technical leader of the group if they ran into trouble Noel would want to get hit instead of her two allies but she stopped at the same time as lumina hearing the same sound as Noel turned to the source of the sound "ya sounds like crying" Noel says it could be a Pokemon who got lost here but it was most likely a Pokemon using fake tears as Noel put her guard up also as she stood in place showing the feral Pokemon she wasn't falling for it though feeling a little shakey she took out one of her reviver seeds and are it.

Raze had also heard the crying, thinking that it may be a pokémon in trouble, but he had better ask to the more experienced first on what they might think about this, "What do you think it may be?" He asked both of them, staying behind the Vulpix, mostly for protection for whateer may come ahead,but he wouldn't be afraid to join a battle if one breaks out again, even though he was weakned.

The Vulpix sat down, considering and weighing their options. "It could be someone using Fake Tears, or just faking it in general trying to lead explorers like us into a trap... but it also could be genuine." She noted. She thought that the former option was the more likely one, and if she was on her own, she probably would've just stayed clear of the crying. Even if it as genuine, who knew if they could actually help whoever it was? But still, it would be only fair if the other two got a say in this. So for the moment, she didn't bother voicing her thoughts.

Noel looks over to where they heard the crying she thought about if for a little bit the Pokemon could be in trouble and they would be a holes to ignore it but it was more likely a Pokemon who was using the move Noel would prefer to avoid that direction but even if they did what was to stop them from following the group and attacking them.

Noel hit her Palm on her head feeling like a idiot she had aura she didn't need to guess as her eyes went blue and her hair appendages went up as she looked over in that direction seeing a few Pokemon in the tree's and one in the middle of the two trees "it's a Pokemon using fake tears alright"

Raze looked at the Lucario, "You think? Can you see anything else?" He asked Noel, from what he knows, groups of feral pokémon usually stay nearby items and such, and he thought that in this situation it wouldn't be different.

The Vulpix nodded, her eyes narrowed. That answer hadn't been unexpected in the least, but was it possible Noel was having trouble telling? "Just so we can be certain, can any of the feral Pokémon there actually use Fake Tears?" She wondered aloud, her question to the Lucario quickly joining Raze's. It was good to be positive about these things, Lumina thought, and they didn't have anything to loose by checking with her friend's aura vision.

Nope hit her head at that useless answer she saw them but only told them about the Pokemon in the middle not about the ones in the tree's "there are some Pokemon in the tree's over that way so I have to assume that it's a trap" Noel says scratching her head "and we have been talking for a bit so it must be a trap for a Pokemon who hears it not the one in the middle of the tree's, they would of attacked them by now" she adds to her if felt like a obvious trap but she normally had trouble telling others what she saw.

Noel looks back at the direction she felt something like a pulse of power she had felt something like this before when she found a evolution stone as she looks to her friends "I sense a evolution stone" she says as she looks back to the area "can't tell which but it's there" then Noel thinks for a second was it worth it they could get hurt bad "think it's worth it?" She asks wanting their side of it

The Pichu looked at Noel, surprised about what she had said, "An evolution stone? Out here?" He asked, wondering if it was a Thunder Stone, "If it's there, maybe, do you think there might be a place where we can see what's out there, like a high enough place or something?" He suggested, he was interested about the evolution stone, but he wanted to know what the others thought about this first

An evolution stone? This caught the Vulpix's interest very quickly. Perhaps it was a Fire Stone. The odds were against that, she knew, but it was worth the chance. "From a high enough place... we might be able to see what it is from the tree tops." She suggested. "Then again, I can't really climb, for obvious reasons. Noel, maybe you could go and check what's over there?" The orange vixen wondered aloud, listening closely for any sign of the feral Pokémon.

Noel nods as she speeds of to the tree's and quickly climbs up one of the making sure to avoid any and all Pokemon that could be there she was right there was some Pokemon hiding in the tree's and one in the middle using the fake tears her eyes looked over and spotted a stone sitting near some items it had a thunderbolt symbol on it "a thunder stone" she whispered as she returns to the group "there was a thunder stone and some Pokemon waiting for someone to walk through the trees, I think if I sneak around we can get the drop on them" she says waiting for a response from the two

He looked at Noel, with a very happy smile, even though he couldn't use it right now, at least he would have it for when he would want to evolve into a Raichu, but for now, he would have to focus on getting it first, he looked at Lumina, only then to remember that it could've been a fire stone so she could evolve, but if he could find a Thunder Stone in the middle of a dungeon, then she could do it too right? He prepared himself, e wanted that Thunder Stone, he was just waiting for the Vulpix's answer.

The Vulpix nodded, listening as Noel told them of the Thunder Stone. Oh well. At least Raze might be able to make use of it in the future, so it wouldn't be completely useless. Besides, she really shouldn't have gotten her hopes up over that, it could've been any evolutionary stone. "Let's sneak around and surprise them, then. I assume you'd want the Thunder Stone, Raze." The orange vixen said, noticing the smile on his face. Besides, ambushing these Pokemon might just be a good taste of their own medicine.

"Ok now lumina you take the tree over there there is a path that can help you get up or you can try to burn them out with the fire spin the choice is yours and Raze wait till me and lumina take the ones on the tree's out then go through so the rest of them come out

Noel noticed some fatigue after using her aura sense as she takes out her reviver seed and eats it the shaking her head nods as she dashes over to one of the tree's she was positioned to take the one on the left tree out as she points to lumina then at the other tree there was a path of large logs that lead up to where the others were as Noel waited for them to get into position
