First topic message reminder :

Akuroma panted, a mint green light fading off his arm. A tree in front of him looked like part of it was repeatedly hit with a long blunt object, but gave no sign of falling. He pulled the hood of his Raging Storm Cloak off of his head before leaning against his knees to catch his breath. He'd been training for the past half hour or so on perfecting his newest move, Psyshock. It felt so strange, focusing his psychic energy into something that would do physical damage. It was quite a change from Confusion, where he simply had to control someone's, or something's, movements with his mind.

When he finally caught his breath, he straightened himself back up and began focusing his psychic energy back onto his arm before swinging it down, sending the wave of energy into the tree. When it made contact, the tree gave a loud groan, and began to lean backwards. For a moment it looked like it was about to stop, until it's own weight finished itself off, a loud snap echoing through the woods before the tree fell down.

"Are you kidding? They have already seen us. There is no use in hiding. While my moves are not really fitting for this kind of situation, at least I can do this."
Once more the Nincada did, what he had done so many times before already.
The glittering powder of silver would not deal much damage to their enemies, but at least there was the chance of it increasong the Nincada's stats, blinging their enemies and of course the tiny amount of damage it could inflict.
Soon the crescents of silvery annoyance were launched in the direction of their foes, hopefully being at least moderately useful.
Couldn't they at least have been weak against Bug type moves? No, of course they had to have a double resistance...

Akuroma shook his head and sighed, "Wonderful, Ned. Did it ever occur to you that I am no longer a distance fighter? I have to fight up close now. Which is why I was hoping you'd take on two and I'd take on two," he said. He crossed his arms and looked at the four Pokemon, who were making their way out of the Silver Wind.

"No longer a distance...? Don't tell me you have not yet thought to try and use your fancy new attack as a ranged attack, or at least to hit and run with your Teleport."
Readying another Silver Wind, Ned was surprised. While Akuroma did not seem to be the careful type, the Nincada had believed for him to at least be creative enough to try something of the sort.
But this was not the time to complain. Their lives were in grave danger. They could still think of battle techniques to use when-, no, if they got out of this alive.

"Psyshock explodes if it hits another move for some reason, and teleporting into a Silver Wind is like teleporting into a Surf or a Flamethrower: Not smart," he said, "Just take on whoever you want, but the Heracross is my opponent, so don't get in my way." The irritation in his voice was quite apparent. As he stepped forward, his arm became coated in mint green electricity before he charged towards the Heracross. The Heracoss' horn glowed a deep red and grew quite large as it prepared to meet the Ralts with a Megahorn.

"I meant after the Silver Wind had faded away..."
Ned groaned in annoyance. Had the Ralts seriously not been able to deduce the meaning from his simple comment? Would Akuroma have been a Nincada, he would most likely not have lived very long.
A small smile spread across the Bug type's face. He may be horribly weak, but he was good at surviving with what little strength he had. Better than the Psychic type at least.
But that was not important right now.
Now it was time to battle, and the Nincada had no intention of attacking something with a quadruple resistance to his attacks anyway.
Crawling up the nearest tree, the Ground type instead dropped down on the Paras, hacking away with his claws using the Scratch attack.

Akuroma ignored the Nincada's response as he charged ahead. He swung his fist forward as the Heracross jabbed at him with it's horn. The resulting impact caused a small explosion, forcing the two Pokemon to skid back from each other. The Heracross, recovering a bit sooner, rushed towards Akuroma, it's horn glowing white as it prepared a horn attack.

As the Bug type tore its way through the smoke cloud the explosion had created, Akuroma had little time to react. He hastily made a Protect shield and was shoved backwards by the impact. The Heracross kept on the pressure, pushing Akuroma until his back slammed into a tree. Akuroma grunted, his arm shaking as he pushed back against the Heracross.

Unable to gain any ground against the Heracross, and his Protect beginning to crack, Akuroma let the Protect break as he disappeared in a flash of light. The Heracross lurched forward, it's horn ramming into the tree and causing the massive plant to groan in protest. Akuroma reappeared above the Heracross, his arm becoming coated in electricity as he divebombed Bug type, who was now trying to pull it's horn out of the tree.

Akuroma landed fist first on the Heracross' back, causing a chain reaction. The impact caused the Heracross to lurch it's powerful head and horn upwards, making the tree groan and splinter where the horn was as it tilted away from the two Pokemon. Akuroma jumped off the Heracross, landing behind it. The Heracross cursed to itself, planting it's arms on the ground and flipping it's head upwards, causing the tree to become airborne for a moment before crashing back down to earth away from the two Pokemon.

The Heracross turned towards Akuroma, a red glow beginning to surround the Pokemon as it flexed it's arms. As it flexed, it's arms and chest grew larger, making it a stronger opponent for the Ralts. Akuroma glared, unamused by the flexing Pokemon. His arm became covered in psychic energy as he prepared a Psyshock.

The Heracross responded by preparing another Megahorn. The two Pokemon charged at each other again. Akuroma swung his arm to send the Psyshock ahead of him while the Heracross bulldozed into the wave of psychic energy, the resulting explosion being much larger than the first. The expanding cloud of fiery smoke engulfed the two Pokemon.

The two Pokemon still continued their battle within the smoke cloud. Flashes of light appeared every now and then as the two Pokemon made contact, neither seeming to gain ground as their battle raged. Eventually the cloud settled and the two combatants were locked in a Thunder Punch versus Horn Attack struggle, trying to gain ground to sufficiently damage the other.

The Heracross gained the advantage, the Bulk up it used giving it more endurance than Akuroma. With a flip of its head, Akuroma was sent flying into a tree. He groaned as he fell to his hands and knees.

The Heracross watched Akuroma for another few seconds before it turned towards its allies, ready to aid them against Ned if needed. However, it stopped and looked towards Akuroma when the Ralts grunted. Akuroma had propped a hand onto his knees, and was trying to stand.

"Idiot, an oppenent is most dangerous when you don't pay attention to him," he said with a smirk. As he began to stand, a rush of wind spread out from him, causing his cloak to flap wildly behind him. His body became covered in an ever changing mix of blue lights as his eyes glowed red behind his hair. He continued standing as his body's form began to change. The horns atop his head disappeared, only to reappear larger and side by side. He grew taller as his hair flowed down towards his neck at the sides. His glowing red eyes appeared in full view as the hair in front of his face curled in towards the middle. His legs grew thinner as something above his hips flared out in a flowing, tattered pattern.

He crossed his growing arms for a second before brandishing them out to his sides, causing the blue and red light to disperse from him, revealing his evolved form. The scars on his cheek appeared more jagged, and the scars that once adorned his sides had disappeared, though the flaps of fur that formed a tutu around him appeared tattered.

He gave no time for the Heracross to react to his evolution, teleporting in front of the Bug type and Thunder Punching it the face. The Heracross was thrown back by the force of the attack, though Akuroma didn't let him get far. Teleporting behind the Pokemon, Akuroma threw another Thunder Punch to it's back, causing the Heracross to come to a sudden stop. For a moment the Heracross stood there with the electrified fist against it's back before Akuroma released the Thunder Punch and the Heracross fell onto it's face.

(Sorry for such a long post ^^ I had to make his evolution post reeeeeaaaaally epic. You can just respond to different parts of it or do your own thing against the Paras. I've no idea what the Slakoth are doing, probably lazing about :P)

PostSubject: Re: Past Friends and Future Foes! Ned and Akuroma Meet as Common Pokemon for the Last Time!?   Past Friends and Future Foes! Ned and Akuroma Meet as Common Pokemon for the Last Time!? - Page 6 EmptyFri Apr 18, 2014 7:58 pm

The entire forest went silent as the two opponents faced each other. Noone and nothing, neither Ned, nor the Paras nor even the wind dared to move a single limb, to shake a single leaf as for not to disturb them in their intense concentration.
The universe merely gazed upon the spectacle, a duel to be remembered for the ages.
From somewhere deep within the dark abyss of the forest a Noctowl's cry reached the field of battle, dispersing unheard.
All attention was fixated on the mass of power in front of their eyes, the controlled precision of the Ralt's tactical strikes against the raw, furious power of the Heracross.
Who would be the one to win? Who would be the one to emerge victorious from this struggle.
Just this very morning the small, insignificant, tiny Bug type had been spending his time sucking the juices out of tree roots. But never would he have expected to be witness to such an outstanding event in this very forest in front of his very antennae. But, clear as day it lay before him, this struggle between forces unrivaled in cunning, in grace, in power.
The Ground type was beginning to wonder how many visitors a fight of such magnitude and elegance would bring from far and near to cast their eyes upon this amazing spectacle.
Surey noone would deliberately and willingly discard the chance to see such a miracle with their very own eyes. Stands and terraces full of the most different kinds, types and species of Pokémon coming from all corners and edges of the known and unknown world coming together, united under a common goal, a wish they all share. To join the Nincada and the Heracross' companions excitedly watching this monumental occassion. A tragic irony of fate it was, forcing this great, marvellous and wonderful match into the lonely woods devoid of much life. But just as each and every coin and medal has two sides, so did this happenstance also have its advantages, which, despite the disadvantages, made the situation of the event being underappreciated beyond belief almost woth it. No screaming fans cheering in extasy, no fireworks illuminating the clear skies above, not the smell of festival food to reach the nostrils of the combattants to possibly distract them from their amazing display of unrivaled fighting skill.
Reminiscing about the few books he had ever read, the enthralled Nincada quickly came to the conclusion, that such a beautiful, incredibly epic display of power and skill in opposing harmony would very well be fitting and suitable as the final, all-deciding battle between the heroes, the hailed champions of light and dark, good and evil, law and chaos to decide the fate of the world and all its inhabitants now and forever.
Akuroma, the young Ralts had fought his way to this point, into the heart of the lands of evil, through the armies of darkness. He had matured tremendously and helped many Pokémon on his way. He was a saviour, a righteous hero for the poor and downtrodden masses suffering under the iron fist of the vile and despicable tyrant that was Heracross, a lord of pain and suffering commanding his cruel minions on their crusade of pillage and strife trough the once peaceful country side of some imaginary world. Yes, such a legendary and epic fight would be a more than fitting end to even the greatest classics and most well-known works of great literature.
The most banal techniques used equalled or even surpassed flashes of inspired lightning, warming up the hearts of all spectators, who could die happily now that they had seen such an incredible miracle.
Maybe he should start trying to write a book about this.
This thought suddenly entered the Nincada's mind and broke through the wall of silent amazement, this quiet fascination, that had formed a noose around his mind, like a spider's web, entangling and ensnaring him in its velvety embrace of miraculousness.
He could just start writing about the grand spectacle he was able to witness today, the very day that should mark a turning point in history as it was today, that the Ralts and the Heracross fought.
But a second, much more definite, clear thought made its way into the Bug type's mental facilities, aone very obvious thought. No, he should not write a book about this. While withholding something of this magnitude from the general public might seem like a horrible thing to do, watching or even reading about such perfection would forever shatter all fascination any Pokémon could ever again have with watching a lesser, imperfect battle. Not only that, but of course it would not be possible for such a poor, tiny, pathertic bug to find words, that would be suitable or even close to suitable for a momentous occassion like this one. It would simply not be possible to capture the spirit of this magnificent scene in such a banal thing like words, like simple smudges of ink on a piece of paper.
No, this was a thing, that only those select few would ever be able to even dream about witnessing.
This moment, this tiny point in time would now forever be the most important moment in the lives of all the Pokémon in the area. It would be for the Ralts, for the Heracross, the Nincada, the Paras and even the two Slakoth.

And then the Ralts evolved.

(I think you are the first RPer who has ever apologized for a long post. ^^)

After a moment of silently watching the Heracross, Akuroma turned his head towards Ned and the three companions of the Heracross. He blinked, just realizing he could see them fully see them without moving his hair or tilting his head. He looked down, noticing he had become taller and the...the...the tutu.

"Wh-what the!? Why am I wearing a tutu!?" he yelled out, looking at the tattered fabric...fur...whatever it was. He tried to press it downward, but to no avail, the thing just kept bouncing back up whenever he let it go. What a way to realize he evolved.

"I-I think you...you evolved. And *snrk* you are...wearing a dress. Hehe..."
Ned could barely suppress bursting out laughing upon seeing the new form his friend had taken.
For only a short moment the Bug type felt more pity for the Psychic type than he did for himself.
He may have evolved, but at what cost?
"You look riddicu-...hillari...you *snrk* you look great, Aku!"
Hopefully the boost in power the Pokémon had recieved would be a high one.
The Nincada was quite sure, that Akuroma would be getting in quite a few fights with this new look.
Well...luckily the Nincada's evolutions wouldn't look as riddiculous.

Akuroma visibly blushed at Ned's enjoyment at his new appearance, "Sh-shut up!" he said, looking over at the Heracross' three companions. His arms glowed a mint green he swung them down in an X. The resulting X-shaped wave of energy slammed into the two Slakoth and flung them all back. Akuroma blinked for a second. As a Ralts he was only able to charge up one Psyshock at a time, but now he was able to charge up two much quicker and stronger. It's probably take him a little bit to get used to his increased power. Hopefully he wouldn't crush Ned by accident till then.

As hillarious as the Kirlia looked, considering that it actually was the male Akuroma, his psychic powers definitely were impressive. Hopefully the Bug type's own abilities would grow by a similar amount once he would finally reach his evolved stadium. But until that time came there would still be a long road to travel. And first of all there were some feral Pokémon to beat up.
Remembering why the Psychic type had evolved in the first place, the Bug type continued trying to sink his claws into the Grass type's hide, additionally attempting to drain its fluids by biting down on one of the mushrooms on its back with the attack Leech Life.

Akuroma watched as Ned finished off the Paras. He decided he shouldn't butt in, seeing as how he might end up harming Ned in the process. He sat down and looked down at his cloak. It was barely hanging onto him, the wind created by his evolution stretching out the threads that held the fabric around his neck. Not to mention he wouldn't be able to take it off without cutting or ripping it off. He decided he'd go and see the Furfrou who first made it about it. Hopefully he'd be able to fix it.

Breathing heavily, Ned tried to recover from using so much energy for hacking away at the Paras.
Luckily Akuroma had managed to evolve during the fight, as Ned was doubting whether they would have been capable of defeating all those adversaries if it would not have happened.
How could such a big group of feral Pokémon have formed anyway? Especially the Slakoth, which usually would be hanging in trees, only moving if absolutely neccessary, wouldn't normally be inclined to roam the land in a group. Were they looking for something? Had they been outlaws masquerading as feral Pokémon? Or was the power of whatever it was, that was corrupting the land so great, that it could completelys remove this habit from the creatures here?

Akuroma had stopped paying attention to Ned and the Paras once he was sure he wouldn't be needed. He simply looked his new body over. Being nearly twice as high as normal was going to take some getting used to. Several Pokemon who he knew were right around his height, which meant he'd be looking down a lot now. He didn't feel any heavier than before, but he assumed he was with his new height.

As he started to walk he nearly tripped over himself. Unlike many Pokemon who lost speed upon evolution, he'd gained a good bit, and was clearly not used to it. Hopefully Akuroma would adjust to his new body soon. Very soon in his mind.

Seeing Akuroma stumble around, unused to his new body made Ned chuckle a bit.
But as funny as it may have looked, another thought entered the Bug type's mind.
Upon evolution he would be one of the fastest Pokémon in existence.
Would he really be able to control himself at such a high speed?
Well, he would just have to get used to it as he had managed to do with everything life had thrown at him thus far.
For now the duo should get going before their enemies would get up again.
