Fire in the Forest

Lumina trekked through the Shadowhue Forest confidently, a single mission on her mind. She was going to reach the Monochrome Ruins, even if it killed her. Which she really hoped it didn't. She had heard that there were secrets to be found deep within the Monochrome Ruins, behind the Monochrome Falls, past the Shadowhue Forest. So the Forest of Shadowy Hues was her first stop on the way to her goal. She had no idea of the adventure she was about to embark on, but she was sure that it was going to be a great day.

Dawn walked around, blinking as her eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness of the forest. Well, the name of the forest was definitely accurate, not unlike the other places in the area that she heard of. She had never come to this place before. So she thought, why not? and decided to come. She looked around, in a way that some would tell her to watch where she's going, as she was looking everywhere but forwards. But she was well aware of what was in front of her, dividing her attention well.

Lumina continued her path through the forest, enjoying the crunching of the leaves under her paws. She always did enjoy a nice walk through the wilderness, as it reminded her of her home when she was little. She kicked up some leaves that were littering the forest floor and they practically exploded into the air, spiraling down around her as gravity once again took hold of the leaves. She giggled as some of the leaves fell onto her warm, red coat, and one landed on her nose. She sneezed, causing the leaf to blow away, and laughed once more, carefree in her knowledge that she could take on any feral pokemon that dared to attack her.

Dawn looked around, to see if she could find anything. After walking for a while, she heard leaves rustling. The rustling was a bit away, just enough for her to barely hear it. She tried sensing any hostility, in case any feral Pokémon attacked. Sensing nothing to worry about, just cheerfulness, curiosity got the best of her. She walked towards the sound, and saw another Pokémon. It was a fox-like pokemon, with six orange tails. She recognized the Pokémon as a Vulpix, and walked forwards greeting the Pokémon with a "Hello".

Lumina spun around, her multiple tails rising into the air at the sensed threat as someone spoke behind her. She narrowed her eyes at the ralts who had appeared between the trees suspiciously. Lumina was a loner sort of pokemon, and she did not trust easily. She was wary of the sudden appearance of the ralts being the beginning of an attack of some sort. "Who are you?" she asked the ralts, her voice low in warning and her inner fire blazing up in response to her nervousness.

Dawn inmeadiately noticed the tension. The vulpix was nervous, worrying about the salts appearing. Dawn felt embarrassed at not really thinking about this happening. Note to self: make a habit out of thinking ahead. "I'm sorry for startling you," she apologized sincerely. And now to answer the Vulpix's question..."Me name is Dawn". Hopefully the Vulpix would calm down, at least a bit; it was a bit uncomfortable to have someone be nervous around her. She always wanted others to be alright.

Lumina's ears twitched. She still didn't trust the ralts, but the ambush would never come if she seemed ready for it. So she relaxed her stance forcibly, though the doubts still lingered in her mind and her inner fire was still at the ready for any sign of an attack. "It's alright; I just wasn't expecting company," she replied to the ralts' words. "I'm... Lumina; a solo explorer. What are you doing here? It seems like a high level area for a ralts," she said curiously.

"I'm... Lumina; a solo explorer. What are you doing here? It seems like a high level area for a ralts," the Vulpix said curiously. Dawn replied that "I came here exploring, because I have never been here before. she said. Which was completely the reason why she came to this dungeon.

The vixen tilted her head as she heard that. In her eyes, that didn't seem like a very strong reason, but she supposed that she had come to Mystery Dungeons for less. Even without a direct goal in mind, one could find valuable items here. "If you're sure you're prepared for this place. This dungeon is dangerous." She advised. She wasn't going to say it out loud, but she'd been attacked by an outlaw here before. Isa had been her name... or at least, that was what she called herself. It was very possibly an alias. Lumina had been weaker then, though, and much less experienced. She could handle it nowadays, if someone tried to rob her. But the memory of that Zorua made her a little hesitant to leave the Ralts alone here. She could be attacked, robbed or worse if she wasn't ready for this place. As much as she disliked company, that memory made it a little difficult for Lumina to leave her here with a clear conscious. At least until she was sure this 'Dawn' character could handle herself. "This goes without saying, but bad things can happen here if you aren't ready for them. The unruly sorts are drawn to the shadows." She added, a hint of distaste in her tone.
