Miles walked down the street as he headed towards home. Finding a job is tough...I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow... He had tried many different places, and yet he couldn't seem to get a job there. Either it was boring, it didn't pay well, or he wasn't qualified. One of the three applied to each of the jobs he'd tried for. He sighed, hoping he might get lucky soon...

Suddenly, as he looked to his left, something caught his eye. He stopped as he looked over at one of the shops, called "Bloom Dresses", though that wasn't what he was interested in. He could see a Gardevoir out front, doing something. She was wearing a white scarf and had violet eyes...he couldn't help but notice her. He stopped and looked for a little bit.

Bloom looked confused. "W-Why shouldn't I? He'd do the same for me. So, What's the deal?"
She asked.

The Beartic shrugged. "It gives him a motive, and you shouldn't protect a killer."

"K-Killer? He didn't kill nobody!" Bloom said, raising her voice a bit. "H-He didn't do it! I swear!" She said with a nervour look in her eyes. Why are you talking back to Secutiry?!

The Beartic shrugged. "Miss I know you...like...this guy, but all signs point to him. He had the gun, he was there, and he obviously killed for the disk. Do you have an Alabi for him?" Miles looked over at her with a look that said "Tell the truth!" Written all over it.

Bloom took a deep breath. "Okay, Mister. Here's the deal..." she started.
Bloom began explaining what had really happened, from the beginning to end.
"And...w-well...I've known him for a month now, he would never kill anyone!" She said and hopped they'd understand.

The Beartic tilted his head. "Miss...I've seen strange things in my life of investigations, and no matter who a person is, they are not incapable of murder. Besides. Couldn't he have killed him to protect you?" The Beartic shrugged. "But, he's not guilty. At least, not yet. We have yet to do a full investigation. However, he is still a suspect. If he's truly innocent, he shall soon be proven so. Framing someone is more common than you think." He examined the body more, and took some notes. "We'll be doing an autopsy of the body soon enough. That may help you out if the time of death is earlier then when Miles was found. Until then, he's staying here."

Bloom sighed. "May I at least stay with him?" She asked the Beartic.

The Beartic shrugged. "Seems okay with me. Call me Manny. Detective Manny." Manny turned to the Emboar. "Take this to the hospital ward for examination. I'll keep examining around here." The Emboar nodded and picked up the body, carting it off. Manny then examined parts of the room, jotting down notes as he went. The Umbreon went up to Bloom. "How can you protect him like that? He killed Faith!" He looked incredibly angry.

Bloom glared at him in a deathly way. "No. He didn't."
She smiled at Miles. "But...Even if he did...I'd still protect him. He'd do the same for me." Bloom said.

He shook his head. "There is no reason to protect a criminal! I worked with Faith! He's my pal! And to see him holding a gun near him after he'd done the deed...I can't explain how much it hurts!"

Bloom frowned. "what if I was in love with this so called 'Criminal'?" She said.
She sighed. "And I'm sorry for your loss. But I can prove he's innocent, that he didn't do it." Bloom said.

He sighed. "S-sorry...it's just that we were close...my name's Jack." He extended a paw.

Bloom smiled. "I'm Bloom." She shook his paw. Bloom sat down beside Miles.
"Some morning this has turned out to be, huh?" She said with a smirk.

He sighed. "Tell me about it." Manny seemed to find something. "What's this?" He got up, holding some fragments. "Looks like a party popper...and it's been used. They give off quite the bang...looks like this may help your case."

Bloom looked Miles and smiled. "Things are falling into place. You'll be proven innocent in no time!"
