First topic message reminder :

Ace walked to the base of the mountain and looked up, "I think we'll be able to make it to the top. Or at least get somewhat high up." he turned around and looked at Tom, "What about you? Do you think we can make it all the way up there? Or are you going to be that one Pokemon that just doubts everything?" Ace chuckled, he was in a pretty good mood now that he was out of the woods and at a place far more exciting in his eyes.

Noticing that something was wrong with the Totodile, not wanting to risk something going on, he fired the Magical Leaf at the Weavile. The Pokemon noticed the attack and immediately sent out a blast of Icy Wind, freezing most of the leaves in place and causing them to fall harmlessly to the ground. Without waiting another moment, the Weavile shot another shadow ball at Ace. The Snivy dived on the ground to avoid the attack, and started to pick himself up, watching the Weavile eye both of it's foes.

Tom gritted it's teeth; something had been done to it, and he didn't like what. Water began to form inside him and before long he sent a gush of water at the dark-type whilst rushing at it with an ice punch. He figured, though only dimly, that an ice punch had a chance to at least freeze the creature, if not do much damage.

(I'll let you decide the fate of this attack.)

Ace watched as Tom punched the Weavile in the chest. The creature fell backwards, and was about to leap back and attack Tom, but to it's surprise, it couldn't move around. The Weavile's eyes widened as he noticed ice form around his entire body, until he couldn't move a muscle, he stood there frozen, the only thing he could do was watch the Snivy and Totodile.

Ace crossed his arms and smiled, "That's a much more conventional way to take out a foe. Should we get going before it unthaws?"

The Totodile let his rage die down. "...Yeah, let's get out of here." The reptile took out the apple he had gotten down at the base of the mountain and started nomming eating it. "Alright, let's go!" Immediately the blue creature started walking uphill...
Before tripping over an object of some sort. The reptile's apple rolled into the snow, and Tom himself started yelling a flurry of curses that was muffled by the snow that engulfed him.

(OOC: My brain is acting stupid. So I'm just going to assume Tom just fell in the snow too...hopefully I'm being right)

Ace glanced over at where the Totodile had fallen and chuckled a little, "Yeah, I'm going to let you handle that problem yourself." he focused his attention on the object Tom tripped over, "Now, let's see what this thing is..." he picked up the item and wiped snow off of it, revealing it to be a scarf of some sort. Ace investigated it for a little, "I think it's a Special Band...though I never really studied these kind of things. I have no reason to use them myself."

(OOC: Don't worry, it's cool. Yeah, he fell into the snow too)

Tom himself managed to escape the snow that engulfed him before looking back at the Snivy. "What're you talking about, you've no reason to use them? Of course you can use them! That thing will make your magical leaf thing more powerful! Not by much, yeah, but you never know when that thing will save you!" He tugged at the defense scarf around his neck. "This scarf saved me more times than I can count, so who's to say that band can't save yours?"
He grinned at the Snivy before remembering what happened to his apple. He sulkily went over to it and picked it up, contemplating on whether it was still edible.
A pair of eyes stared at him, waiting. Watching. Getting ready to strike. Until Tom noticed them, of course. The Totodile stared back at the eyes, not in the least threatened. "No. No, do not attack us, I've had to deal with enough crap today, I do not feel like fighting yet another freaking enemy, do you understand?!"
The pair of eyes quickly went away, unnerved by this pissed off Totodile.

Ace looked over to the Totodile, "Hmm, that's a way to not waste time. You should try that more often, maybe they'll actually listen." He turned his attention back to the band in his hand, "It could be useful sure, though I can't say I'm too fond on wearing it. Besides, I don't need a silly band to make me stronger, I can manage without items like that."

Tom nodded, still somewhat irked by how they were almost ambushed. "Yeah, I suppose. We should still keep that, though; I'm sure it could net us a pretty price." The reptile grunted and continued climbing up the mountain, taking another bite out of his now wet apple.

"I suppose you're right in that regard." Ace noted as he tied the band to the end of his cape. He continued to walk forward but stopped, looked at the Totodile and smirked, "How's that apple going for you? Was it worth all the trouble?"

The Totodile took a second to examine his half-eaten apple. "Um... Yeah. I'd say so." Tom grinned as the duo continued climbing up the mountain.
While the floor wasn't steep yet - it was pretty much flat - Tom had heard about how it was necessary to climb the walls in order to reach the peak of the mountain. The Totodile wasn't really sure if he had to courage to do that, especially since it would be nigh impossible to fight against a feral Pokemon whilst climbing. The reptile considered expressing his concerns about this, but decided against it; the Snivy would probably just call him a coward or something.

Ace continued walking, not paying attention to Tom in the slightest. Though he would slow down every once and a while to wipe some snow off of his cape. Which was top priority for him when nothing was going on. After a whole lot of nothing, the Snivy stopped once more, but this time he thought he could see something sticking up in the snow.
"Do you see anything there?" he asked Tom, pointing in the direction of what he saw.

Tom looked in the direction that Ace pointed towards. "Yeah... I don't know what it is, though..." The Totodile gulped. "Maybe we shouldn't risk getting it? Pretty much every item is protected by a feral; you've figured that out, right?"
It was about then that something came in the item's direction and started charging at the duo. Joy oh joy.

Upon closer inspection, the Pokemon running towards them seemed to be a Snover.
"Have you ever thought of getting a job in fortune telling or something like that? You seem to be a master at that." Ace commented as he got ready for yet another fight. But as the Snover was running, it fired a group of leaves that flew through the air towards the duo.

Tom only just managed to dodge to the side as the leaves flew past. The Totodile gulped; since he was a water type, leaves would definitely hurt. "Damn, looks like this guy can take down both of us; Grass and Ice are a horrible combination." He readied his rage, letting the red aura engulf him, and grinned. "I think we can take care of this guy... Put on the Power Band, even if just for a minute; I think we're gonna need all the power we can get!"

Ace picked himself off of the snow, having fallen down while dodging the attack.
"I think you're gonna have to let that rage do most of the fighting. I can't really help you too much in this regard." he started to summon a small amount of leaves, "Though I can hold him off for a little while if you need me to." he glanced at the Special Band real quickly, "The band won't make things much easier, even with the slight advantage..." he muttered before focusing his attention back on the Snover, who was getting close by now.
