In all of Time and Space - Unova RP

Claudia wandered out of the house with a cheerful, "Byee!" to her mother and a quick wave. She carried with her a pale blue bag which no doubt stored some impressive amount of possessions in it. Claudia's long red hair hung loose, flowing out behind her as she skipped down the road of Nuvema Town and headed towards Professor Juniper's laboratory.
Today was the day she was going to start her Pokemon journey. Today was the day where she would finally get a Pokemon of her own!
Grinning to herself, she once again went through the three Pokemon that most new trainers in Unova chose from when they started their journeys.

There was Snivy, the grass type. Lithe, nimble and pretty cool by starter standards.
Secondly there was Tepig, the fire type. Tepig was kinda cute in Claudia's opinion, but having seen some of it's evolutions, she was less than keen to choose one. A previous run in with a trainer's angry Emboar had put her off of them and to be honest she still found it hard to be around them.
Last but not least, there was Oshawott, the water type. The first time Claudia had seen an Oshawott she had literally squealed at how adorable it looked. She couldn't believe it actually evolved into such a strong looking Pokemon.

Claudia was snapped from her thoughts when she realized that she had reached the laboratory. Gently, she knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

Gabriel facepalmed. "Sorry about that.." He called over his shoulder, walking over to where his food-covered Pokemon sat looking rather ashamed of themselves. He scolded them while cleaning off their fur. "Ichorous, use Water Gun." He murmured. The Oshawott doused Kobold, Tyson, and himself in water and Gabriel cleaned off the remaining gunk. "Alright you three. I expect the BEST behavior from you. Now, Ichorous since you started this nonsense-" Ichorous made an outraged noise, " you will go over to Claudia and offer to use your Water Gun to help clean things up." Ichorous glared at Gabriel before seeing that there was no way that he was getting out of this one. He trudged over to Claudia. "Oshawott...Wott..Osh? (Uh so.. Could I offer..the use of my water gun?)" He grumbled his offer.

Gabriel nodded approvingly.

"Sure," smiled Claudia, letting Celandine out of her Pokeball first so that Ichorous could clean her off. Once the Patrat was dry, she was returned and then replaced with Copper. The pigeon Pokemon didn't appreciate being soaked through, but liked the way it made her feathers clean. Once she was dry, Claudia left her to realign her feathers whilst she thought up some ideas for an appeal.

"Well to start with.. are we definitely using Ichorous and Laurel in the appeals round? I kinda want to see if that defensive technique I came up with for Ichorous works as well."

Gabriel nodded. He gave Ichorous the floor and stepped back. "Alright, Ichorous! We're going to work together with Laurel and Claudia on this one okay? Now I want you to practice this real quick. Throw your scalchop into the air and hit it with Water Gun!" Ichorous grabbed the shell on his chest and threw it high above their heads. He then shot a stream of water at it, aiming it just a tad off. The water did come back down and soak them, just not as accurately. He made a mental note to fix his aim for the next time he tried. "Okay, we're gonna do that with Laurel's Magical Leaf now."

Gabriel watched Ichorous work out the technique with Laurel for quite some time. He noted that Ichorous was doing his best to be agreeable but was still rather easily riled up. After a moment he spoke up. "You know, I haven't a clue what to do with Tyson's Fire Fang." Over the course of their walk to Striaton, this had remained a complex puzzle. He had absolutely no clue what to do with the Lillipup's Fire Fang to make an appeal or a useful move!

Claudia grinned as Gabriel asked Ichorous to perform the move. It seemed that with a little practice, they would soon be able to use this pretty accurately. She asked Laurel to use her Magical Leaf shield, and the Snivy obliged. She created the shield, leaving room for the Oshawott to perform his new technique and drench the leaves with the cool water. The defense looked like it would hold up well against fire type moves and Claudia mentioned this to Gabriel.

"You know, I haven't a clue what to do with Tyson's Fire Fang."
Claudia turned to Gabe. Her comment about fire must have reminded him about his predicament.
"How about we try a few things then? We could try combining it with Laurel's Magical Leaf or something?"

With conformation from Gabriel she got ready to try it. The Lillipup stood waiting for his trainer's command. Laurel used her Magical Leaf and Tyson used his Fire Fang. Unfortnately, when he tried to bite them, they just disintegrated into ashes. Claudia sighed.
"I guess I didn't think that one through. It might be useful against some grass types though..."

Gabriel sighed but made a mental note of that. "Yes well next combination!" He grinned and pushed Ichorous back out into the field. He then instructed Tyson to use Fire Fang and Ichorous to use Water Gun.

The result was one very soaked Lillipup and one very happy Oshawott. The water had simply put out the Fire Fang. "Okay, I'm not sure what I expected from that one. How about we try Quick Attack next?"

After a load of scared yelps from Tyson, it was decided that Quick Attack and Fire Fang didn't work well at all. It really only ended up singeing Copper's feathers and scaring the life out of Tyson.

"Well Morning Sun isn't going to do much.. neither is Tackle... Copper, try using Gust!"

The Pidove nodded, happy to be able to stay away from the fire whilst she used Gust rather than almost get her feathers singed off again.
She flapped her wings creating a spiral of wind. The odd flame that flickered from Tyson's fangs would get drawn up into the wings, but there wasn't much flame power in the physical move for it to look very much different and so Claudia told her to stop again.

Sighing she decided not to try with Vine Whip as it would likely only get burnt up like the Magical Leaf had done.
Claudia returned Copper to her Pokeball and sent out Celandine.

"Okay Celandine, use Iron Tail on Tyson's Fire Fang."
The Patrat nodded and dashed towards the Lillipup's blazing fangs. She leaped and swiveled around at the last moment, striking the Fire Fang move with her metallic tail. It produced a few orange sparks that sprayed everywhere. Claudia blinked.
"Try that again Celandine, but use more force..."

The Patrat obliged and tried again. This time, the sparks emitted were brighted and more in number. Grinning, Claudia turned to Gabriel.
"Well, we got something!" she grinned.

Gabriel grinned, liking how this was shaping up. He thought for a moment before turning to Claudia. "Mind if I tell Celandine to do something real quick?" After receiving her approval, he turned back to the two Pokemon. "Okay, Celandine! Use Iron Tail!" He then looked to Tyson. "Tyson, you use Fire Fang! Only this time, hold on a bit longer."

As Celandine's tail approached him, Tyson opened his mouth wide, teeth flaming. He bit down hard on her steely tail and held on tight. Soon, the gray began to turn a reddish orange. It was emanating a glow as well. He let go and watched with wonder as Celandine's tail took on the appearance of a glow-stick!

Let us not go into the story of how he figured out what a glow stick was. (CoughGabrielCough)

"Celandine, try hitting that tree with your fire-charged tail," Claudia suggested.
The Patrat nodded, freeing her tail from Tyson's grip and whipping around to hit the tree. s well as doing the normal damage, it also burned the tree and you could see the scorch mark on it's trunk.

"I think these moves might come in handy, especially against stronger opponents..." grinned Claudia, happy that the Fire Fang had worked with something.

Gabriel hummed happily. He ruffled the fur on Tyson's head before kneeling down and giving Celandine a happy little pat. He stood back up and observed the scorch marks on the tree. "It looks totally awesome too!" He turned to Kobold, seeing as they hadn't figured out a way to use his moves yet. He bit his lip before turning back to face Claudia. "Any ideas on how to use Kobold's moves? Cause I'm pretty much drawing a blank." He fell back into silence as he attempting to think up some more ideas. "Well.. What about Gust and Wish? I'm wondering what would happen.. Plus we need to find a way to use Copper's moves as well."

"I actually have an idea for some of Copper's moves, but I can try that afterward if you like. In fact.. I think Wish takes some time to work anyway... Why doesn't Kobold use it now.. then we can try some other things whilst we wait for it to come into effect. We can time it as well to better plan around it for the future."
Claudia suggested a few things in her short speech, the Pidove tilting her head slightly a she listened, wondering what ideas her trainer had for her moveset.

Gabriel nodded in response to Claudia's suggestions. "Sounds good to me." He turned to Kobold and instructed him to use Wish.

Kobold closed his eyes and began murmuring something. Over time his words became steadily louder. He opened his eyes again. They were glowing now, shifting blues from light sky blue all the way to TARDIS a dark Venetian blue. They slowly faded back to normal as he fell silent.

Gabe rubbed his arms, feeling slightly disturbed by this chanting. He turned around and watched Copper's moves.

"Alright then Copper, let's see what we can do before this Wish move sets in. Use Morning Sun!"

The Pidove nodded and spread her wings. She used Morning sun, her small body beginning to glow with a pale cream colour. Small rays of light began to emanate from her glowing body, surrounding her in a bright and beautiful light.
"Quick Attack. Keep that Morning Sun going!"

Nodding, the Pidove swiftly leaped into the air. Whilst she was still glowing, she shot towards Kobold, the light emanating from her body leaving what looked to be almost like a comet tail behind her. When she sped up, she almost looked like a bright ray of sunlight, zooming across the clearing.
Before Copper could hit the Audino, she veered upwards, not wanting to hurt her fellow comrade.

Gabriel was stunned by the beauty of the Morning Sun, Quick Attack combo. He grinned at Claudia. "Definitely a winner!" His gaze slipped back to Kobold who had his arms spread. The feelers(?) on his ears twitched and suddenly, a single glittering particle fell from above. It was followed by many others, all sparkling blue and orange. They rained down in a rather direct beam but managed to look aimless at the same time. As they fell upon Kobold, they healed him. A grin slowly covered Gabriel's face. "Awesome!"

Claudia blinked, an idea striking her.

"Gabe, do you think Kobald can make those particles rain down everywhere instead of directly upon him?" she asked after digging around her mind for the words to describe the glittery sparkles that were slowly drifting down from the sky.
"Perhaps Copper could use her Gust attack to pull the particles into the winds and then direct them specifically... somehow?"

The Pidove gently landed, the light from the Morning Sun having worn off. She listened to her trainer and wondered what it might look like...

Gabriel turned around and instructed the Audino to do just that. Kobold nodded, seeming happy to help. Now the particles were falling around the entire clearing. It wasted a bit more of Kobold's energy, but it did look beautiful.

Gabriel couldn't help but watch the glittering particles drift gently down with a child-like wonder. He reached his hand out and caught one. It tingled, like a warm bolt of electricity. It was wonderful. He grinned brightly before letting his attention roam to where Copper stood, ready to use Gust.
