Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 24, 2016 3:51 am

First topic message reminder :

Sova struggled to hush his own laughter, ending up collapsing to the ground as the pain from the attacks he'd taken suddenly hit him.  On the bright side, this made it difficult to laugh, so it was easier to stop himself from doing so now.  He just sat there, catching his breath and laying in his own pain and misery....  The burning feeling inside of him.... had been toned down.  He could now think.... almost straight.  He stared at his work as he tried to gather his thoughts; what was he supposed to do now?  ....Right, Mirage.  MIRAGE, was she alive!?

Then he heard the voice of the charmander, stating to have found Mirage.  He pushed to lift himself off the ground, no longer caring about his exhaustion, and jumped off the ledge he was on without even looking down to see how far it was.  He landed on his paws rather ungracefully with a bit of a stumble just as the lizard spoke once more, stating Mirage was breathing, and it relieved him to no end.  Suddenly, the intense burning was gone and he felt clear and sane.... and the pain felt a bit more.... vivid.  But that last part wasn't important right now!

"Oh, sh-she's alri-!?" he frantically questioned as he rushed over to see the zoroark.
....No, she was definitely not alright.  Not alright, but alive.  He frantically looked over his friend, immediately spotting a pretty severe-looking bite wound on one of her arms.  He reached his paw up to his neck and between the two ribbons he wore, pulling off the outer one, which was a light blue Guild ribbon.  He liked covering up the girly Joy ribbon with it, but Mirage's safety was far more important than his own fashion.

Suddenly, he was actually focused, and he no longer seemed like a depressed drone nor a psychotic monster.  "Lift her arm for me," he spoke clearly, expecting the lizard to help him.
However, he wasn't calm and this was something he wasn't trying to hide.  His voice was audibly shaky, but rather than a mixture of sadness and mania, this time.... it was just out of fear.  Mirage seemed pretty badly hurt....  He didn't want to lose her.  If given the option, he'd be willing to give up his own life for Mirage, and he doubted said life would even be worth living without her around.  He would feel like a complete failure in every possible way and he doubted he'd ever really feel joy again.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 12:49 am

She could see the movements of the glaceon from her barely conscious position. She still could not muster the strength to move, but the glaceon seemed to be doing well despite the wound it had been given.

The steel type fired the canon just as the orb was lodged in the nozzle, the orb failed to break like it had expected and was instead activated. The Blowback orb exploded in the steel type's canon, the propulsion of the attack sending the creature back a few feet as it dug its feet into the ground in order to not be knocked over. The monster of a pokemon paused, smoke emitting from the canon. Suddenly, the creature seemed as if it had fallen. Mirage's eyes widened, had that killed it?! Did he actually kill it!?

The creature fell to the ground, but rather than falling over it had fallen directly down. It flattened into a small disc like object, before it began to float. All thoughts of the creature having been killed vanished as it began to rise into the sky. No, it was not dead. It was just capable of flight. Fantastic.

The creature rose further and further into the air, looking down at the glaceon, not appearing happy in the slightest about that move. Did that actually hurt it or something? The creature seemed to pause in the air for a moment, before a large figure crashed through the side of the crevice walls and grabbed at it. The genesect was grabbed by the onix that had invaded the bug type's picnic, the massive rock type quickly turning its head before flinging the disc of a genesect into the distance. The steel saucer disappeared into the darkness, going hell knew how far away from the current group.

Confusion clouded her mind as the onix rested itself on the floor of the crevice, rocks still falling from the tunnel it had created. Its tail wagged almost as if it were some canine pokemon as it seemed to pant and watch the genesect be launched away from the group with glee. It looked down at the glaceon and Zoroark and...barked? At least, it tried to bark it seemed.

Suddenly a faint green light lit up the area, it was one similar to the two dusknoirs' from earlier, but this one was a different color. She could hear a voice, "Damn it George, not aga-woah what the hell?"

A dusknoir had lit up the area with Will-O-Wisp, not using it on anyone in particular and leaving a floating green flame in the midst of the bloody mess it had come across. The dusknoir gazed down on the mess, there was plenty of blood, a lot of messed up rocks, and a mess of items sprawled across the area from a bag that was likely kicked around during the fight. The dusknoir looked down upon the Zoroark and the Glaceon in surprise, the two looked practically dead!

He needed to do something, the dusknoir looked to the onix and floated up to be eye level with the creature, "Ok. George. Friends, you got that?" the onix looked at him in curiosity, tilting its head in curiosity, "Friends. Go fetch," he told the onix. The boulder creature blinked, "Fetch Friends!" the dusknoir repeated, "Now!" The onix finally seemed to understand what he was talking about, and nodded eagerly before turning around and burying into the ground, disappearing into a hole it had created in a matter of seconds.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 4:33 am

The cannon fired - or rather, it misfired - and the force of the resulting explosion knocked the glaceon to the ground a bit harder than he'd originally intended. Okay, it was a lot harder; he was paralyzed in pain for a moment as he moaned, rolling onto his uninjured side. By now, his leg had been stained with red lines due to the bleeding wound coupled with all the movement. Everything sounded muffled for a moment, and his eyes were shut due to the pain, but then the familiar voice made him cling to reality yet again.

"Can't talk, can't walk, can't fight.... Looks like you're a liar."

He opened his eyes to see the leafeon staring down at him. He pulled himself up to his paws and looked to the purple bug. It actually seemed like he'd hurt it this time. He stepped back a bit as he waited for its response, but he was surprised by what happened next. First, the creature.... he wasn't quite sure what it did, but its body seemed to turn into a disk of sorts and it began to float. Fly? Levitate? He wasn't sure what to call it, but this told him one thing: it was quite possibly planning on running. But wait, no, not with his-

A sudden onix burrowed out of the wall of the crevice and treated the enemy like a frisbee, biting onto it and tossing it into the darkness. His eyes had adjusted to the darkness and his senses were all heightened at the moment, but he couldn't see how far the disk went. He froze and his mind voided of thoughts for a moment as he registered that his necklace had just been tossed into the distance. He was about to shout, when the calming voice spoke to him once more.

"Calm down. Now it's gone, so you can leave with your friends."

There was silence both on his part and that of the leafeon for a moment. He turned his head to look at her, and she looked back. She had an optimistic smile, but it quickly faded as she sighed. "But you're not going to do that," she stated.
Sova just nodded in response. He wasn't leaving without his necklace. He would die here before leaving that behind, especially considering who had it. It didn't matter how outmatched he was; he would get it back or die trying.

"There are a few things you need to take care of before you even try to do that, Esprit stated, looking over to Mirage and pointing with her tail.
She then looked back to the glaceon and pointed a paw at his chest. He looked down at himself to see the red, covering his leg and reaching his chest. He would probably bleed out if this wasn't stopped somehow. He looked around at the area, spotting the light the dusknoir was wielding through the darkness. Well, the past few dusknoir he'd seen were.... semi-friendly, so he hoped this one would be the same.

"Hey, I need some help. They're hurt," he said, pointing a paw over to the zoroark, then to the charmanwich.

"And what about you? Do you think you can last forever with that wound without treatment?" the leafeon questioned.
For now, he ignored the point, as he was more worried about others than himself. He was planning on going on alone soon to face the problems he'd caused, and he had doubts that he would make it out of here, so he wasn't particularly worried about his own health. All he could think about was getting his necklace back and doing something, ANYTHING to fix the problems he'd caused. He was still set on killing the creature he'd come here for, even if it cost him his own life.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 5:03 am

Suddenly Genesect came back like "YALL THOUGHT I WAS GONE MOFOS!?"

The dusknoir turned back to the group as the onix disappeared, one of the group members were still standing miraculously. He rushed over to the glaceon and gently pressed his hand onto the glaceon, "C'mon buddy you need to lay down, save your strength. My friend is going to get help, just wai-wait," he interrupted himself as he stared at the glaceon for a moment, "I know you, you're that glaceon from the guild, i've heard about you," the dusknoir blinked. He knew all about Sova's efforts with the darkrai.

The onix suddenly erupted from the same hole, this time tossing some pokemon onto the ground as he erupted from the ground like a gopher. The onix "barked" again happily as two dunsparce and a banette dog-piled on the ground in front of it. The banette floated into the air, rubbing its skull with one of its arms, "Oww what the helllll?" it whined.

The two dunsparce squirmed for a moment before flipping themselves onto their stomachs. The dunsparce looked around at the mess, it seemed that they knew why they were there, as one began to inch towards Mirage and the other towards Sova. As they did so they began to glow, Pain Split activating.

She could feel her body change, however strangely enough, it felt...good. Strength was returning to her, it felt like her body hadn't been battered around as much by the painful bug type move. The zoroark did not move as she allowed the dunsparce to get to work, still feeling pain from the harsh scratches on her back.

From behind the boulders, he opened his eyes. He was squished against the wall, he couldn't move. It felt as if every bone in his body was broken. It was difficult to breathe, and he couldn't move. He could hear voices, he wanted to call out. He felt helpless, beaten so easily. He had been useless. He needed to do better enxt time, make up for his failure. He needed to do something to that damned bug...wait, what about Sova and Mirage? Were they okay? He tried to move himself again, only managing to make his tail twitch slightly...pathetic.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 7:05 am

"GIMMI MA BLING BACK BEFORE I TURN YOU INTO AN ICEPOP" the glaceon responded to the random bug.

Sova considered recoiling from the dusknoir's touch, but he decided to allow it.  He didn't like how he was being treated like he was helpless again, even though he knew it was well-intended.  The dusknoir claimed to recognize him, and he couldn't help but wonder what it was about him that'd been recognized.  The leafeon that he assumed only he could see then spoke, as if vocalizing his own thoughts: "Oh, he knows you.  I wonder if you're famous.... or infamous.  I bet you think it's the latter.  You never did have much faith in yourself."

It was true.  He acted fairly egotistical, but it was just because he wanted others to believe he could keep up.  Inside, he was so very afraid of not being good enough, being looked down upon by everyone, being weak....  He wanted to think maybe this dusknoir had heard something good about him, but he couldn't help but worry that it was something bad.  He'd done a lot of things, at least in his eyes.  "You-" he began just as the onix suddenly burst through the ground.
Well, there went his plan to ask how the dusknoir knew of him.  He watched silently as the odd onix delivered a few dunsparce and a slightly unhappy-seeming banette.

One of the dunsparce set its focus on the glaceon, and for a moment, he wondered why.  Then it began to glow, as did he, and he felt his energy slowly returning to him.  The pain was fading and his wound's bleeding was slowing as it began to heal.  This was Pain Split, so he knew it wouldn't heal his wound completely, but it would at least make it possible to walk around without opening it back up.... hopefully.  "N-no, wait, help the charmander," he pleaded, but the dunsparce ignored him.

"Don't turn down the help.  Just because you're still standing doesn't mean you don't need it just as much as them," the leafeon scolded, silencing him.
He sighed and just let the dunsparce do its work.  Maybe now was a good time to talk to the ghost....  Not the one he'd been talking to for the past few minutes.  "How do you know me?" he questioned looking over to the dusknoir as he did so.
It was something that he felt would continue to bother him until he asked about it.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 7:55 am

She could feel herself begin to reanimate, the bleeding stopped. As she did so, marks and gashes began to open up on the dunsparce as it took on the wounds. The small yellow creature suddenly stopped before it grew still, she was beginning to fear that it had died from the wounds it had taken from her. The dunsparce snored. It was sleeping. She lifted her head, confused. She watched as the bleeding new wounds that had developed on the dunsparce began to cease the brief bleeding and began to scab over and heal. The pokemon was using Rest.

She laid back down, still exhausted from the fight. Her back was still horribly marked by the attacks however, those wounds were going to take a great while to heal. Her body would be scarred for quite a while by this most likely. She decided to simply rest for now, be relieved that help had arrived when it did.

The dusknoir listened to the glaceon as his friend started to heal the glaceon in turn for taking on pain for the glaceon. One of his hands rubbed the back of his neck as if embarrassed, "Well, er...you see..." the dusknoir sighed, unsure of how to put this without sounding odd.
"You remember a mission where you had to rescue a monferno higher up...in the crevice of this area? Maud-I mean, a gothitelle had written up the mission, predicting his death..." The dusknoir spoke, "You kind of saved my step-son in that mission. I wasn't married to his mother at the time of the mission, but still...I wouldn't have met her if he wasn't around...and thanks for that..." the dusknoir's face seemed to grow red from embarrassment, "ANYWAYS," he exclaimed in attempt to change the subject, "What are you doing down here?" he questioned, "You're not...trying to recruit that thing are you?" the dusknoir spoke, "I mean...I heard about what happened in the chateau, but it was an accident...right?" he asked.

The banette looked around, confused. Its eyes darted between each pokemon before its mouth unzipped to speak, "Who the hell are you pokemon?" it asked. The ghost type didn't know any of these pokemon, it was simply dragged along for the ride by George. The onix barked happily with its wagging tail before lowering his head and nudging the ghost type forward towards the group. "Who the hell are you!?" the banette pointed at the gleeful onix. The onix's attention was caught by the flick of the tail in the rocks. It grabbed onto the Banette's hand and dragged it towards the rocks. The onix released the banette and looked to the tail then looked to the ghost type.

The ghost type's arms slid up to its hips as it was released, not appreciating being dragged about. The banette looked to what the onix had wanted, and spotted a rather nastily injured charmander caught between the rocks. It looked to the onix, "So?" it shrugged. The onix stared at the Banette, looking to the charmander then back to the ghost type before nudging it towards the injured trapped creature.

"Why should I help it? I don't even know you or it!" the banette crossed its arms as it floated in place. The onix stared at the banette for a moment, its eyes shining as tears began to form, expressing sadness with a long whine. The banette looked away from the persuasive puppy dog eyes of the onix, only to be nudged again and to hear a long pitched whine. "BAH!" the banette spoke, throwing its arms into the air, "Fine! Just stop for the love of arceus!"

Garnet could hear the voices, he could hear Sova's. They were getting help it seemed, from someone who knew the glaceon. That's good...his mind drifted off for a moment, passively listening to what was said. He could hear the glaceon beg to help "the charmander" while he appreciated the movement, his mind currently only focused on the fact that he had been called "The Charmander" he attempted to speak, "I have a name jackass..." his voice was weak and raspy, it made him flinch out of shock just to hear himself. He wondered if the glaceon even heard him, they were supposed to have good hearing, but he had been so quiet...that and he sounded like death itself.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 10:57 am

Sova looked back down at himself as the dunsparce's healing made his wound manageable.  It was still pretty considerable, but it hurt a lot less and was no longer oozing blood down his leg.  Not that that last part mattered appearance-wise since his leg was already nearly completely covered in blood.  It was truly astounding that he wasn't even feeling lightheaded despite the loss of blood plus the exhaustion.  He felt.... buzzy, actually.  It was almost like a Reviver seed, like a jolt of energy, only it didn't quite feel "right," not like something he was supposed to feel.  The glow around himself and the dunsparce faded and the little creature fell asleep, or at least he assumed it did.  It seemed like it was using Rest, as the gash it'd traded with him began to heal right up along with some other minor injuries on its body.

He listened attentively as the dusknoir explained, and he couldn't help but think that everything was louder than normal.  It wasn't painfully loud, and his hearing was always better than average due to the very nature of his large eevee-ears, but this was different.  It was like he could hear everything, yet his mind was doing a good job of registering all of the information properly.  The dusknoir told a story that not only relieved him, but warmed his heart: he'd helped.  He was good, he'd done something right and someone appreciated it.  At the same time, he could hear the charmander respond to being referred to as "the charmander," and while he sounded awful, at least this meant he was alive.

"I don't know where you got that you were evil.  No-one's ever called you evil, no-one's ever agreed with you there," the leafeon spoke, as if adding onto what the dusknoir had said.
She really had a way of making everything better.

Sova's eyes began to tear up at the lingering thought that he'd actually done something good.  He remembered the mission the ghost was talking about, he remembered how difficult it'd been, and....

....Suddenly, the good feeling vanished.  It wasn't him.  It had been S.S. who'd seen this mission through.  He'd been weak, he'd lost a fight, and S.S. had picked up the slack.  "Oh, right.  He helped with that, didn't he?  You should keep in mind that all he did was hurt others.  You're the one who did the saving," the leafeon stated just the right thing to make him feel better, again, without fail.
He could feel tears begin to well up in his eyes, but he forced them back.  He just gave a faint smile to the dusknoir, happy to see he'd done something positive.

Then he was reminded of his failure in the Ruined Chateau and even questioned on if he was here to intentionally help ruin the world even more than he already had.  That.... made it a bit difficult to stay positive, to say the least.  He sighed before responding: "I don't have an excuse.  I didn't mean to, but....  Seems like word gets around pretty fast."
His smile had faded and now he felt like crying for an entirely different reason.  Was it pathetic to want to cry while he was reminded of how if the world fell apart, it was all his fault?  He wanted to think it was pretty sensible, even reasonable to feel such a way.

"I'm here to try and make up for that.  I want to make it so no-one can recruit that.... thing," he continued, revealing his true motives.
He wasn't here to bring even more power to the enemy.  He was here to completely disable them.  He wanted to end the life of the creature he'd just fought, and after it'd so brutally attacked him.... and Mirage....  After it'd hurt Mirage so badly for no reason, he had no qualms with killing it the second he got the chance to.  He wasn't quite sure others would understand his stance here, but he did, and that was all there was to it.

With this in mind, he thought once more about how badly his plan had gone so far.  He'd nearly gotten himself and Mirage killed, along with some random guy who happened to be willing to come with them.  He was reminded of why he needed to continue alone as soon as this was finished.  He needed to make sure Mirage didn't have to take any abuse from the sadistic bug.  Maybe he would die, but he had to do this.  However, that didn't mean anyone else had to die along with him.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 11:27 am

The banette managed to pull the charmander out of the gap, the lizard collapsing to the ground as soon as it was free from the spires. His face was marked with purple patches and his face was incredibly swollen. Cuts and gashes covered his body, the view of the charmander looking significantly worse than how he had appeared while in the rock. It also did not help that his arm had been dislocated while the banette and onix attempted to pull him out of it. The charmander stared up at the darkness as the onix and the banette looked down at him. He did not move or make any attempt at communicating. He simply stared into the darkness and thought two simple words, "This" and "Sucks".

The dark type listened to the dusknoir and the glaceon, seeing as they had the most interesting conversation at the moment. The zoroark's arm was still throbbing, the strange wound that the strange steel type didn't deliver still remaining on her arm. She laid her head on her other one, her hair providing a comfortable cushion. She had so many questions, but at this point in time she just wanted some peace.

The dusknoir listened as he nodded his head in understanding. He had no idea how the glacoen felt at that moment, but he seemed to understand what the glaceon was implying with his goal. The dusknoir floated in the spot as the dunsparce rested, a hand rubbing its chin as it looked to the ground for a moment, as if trying to decide something. He spoke after a moment of silence, "That actually...sounds fairly intelligent. Difficult and impossible sounding, but if the supporters of Giratina are expected to beat it then we possibly could as well. Even if we can't kill it, we could convince it to just stay out or even join a side that won't end in doom and destruction after we get it to talk or something." The dusknoir spoke as if he they were a collective group now, intending to go along with the glaceon, "I offer you my hand in assisting you in your goal, Sova of Sentima."

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyMon Feb 01, 2016 4:20 am

As much of a relief as it was to have someone agreeing with his decision, and as nice as the offer was, Sova simply couldn't consider allowing someone else to join him. In fact, he'd decided he couldn't allow anyone to come with him. He'd already done everything in his power to kill the creature he'd come here for, and.... Well, he simply couldn't let himself leave alive with that thing still breathing. No one else needed to suffer with him just because he didn't know when to quit. He didn't want to turn down someone's considerate offer to help, but the thought of someone dying trying to help him just wasn't something he could stand.

"I'm sorry, I appreciate the offer, but.... I can't let you come with me. It would be a mistake to let you come," he started speaking, but paused as he turned his attention to the zoroark.
"And I'm sorry I brought you here. That was a mistake too. None of you need concern yourselves with my problems, I'm sure you've all got more to live for than me," he apologized to the zoroark.
He didn't want anyone to come with him, even if he really did need the help. Maybe he just wanted to die here, trying to do something good.

Dying on his own terms, on a good note.... it seemed better than the direction his life was going in otherwise.

"You're not really cocky enough to think you can do this alone, are you? The If they want to help, let them. If you don't.... Do you want to die? Is that it? If you wanted to die, you could have done that already," the voice of the leafeon pestered, judging him for his every action.
Maybe he deserved to be judged, maybe he was wrong, but he wasn't going to just give in this time. No one was allowed to suffer with him. He was done being selfish and asking for the help others, he was done being weak. He hadn't forgotten how to be weak, he'd just spent his entire life trying to be strong!

What was wrong with being strong!? He was right for wanting to be able to protect himself, to protect others! What was so wrong with wanting to have some form of honor and to care for the safety of others? He ignored the leafeon, and this seemed to upset her as she gave a sad expression.

"You'll learn eventually.... You'll learn, or you'll die," the voice continued, sounding as if it were fading.
The glaceon couldn't help but glance over to Esprit to see.... nothing. She was gone. His heightened vision began to fade as if a light had just been snuffed out.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyMon Feb 01, 2016 11:44 pm

The dusknoir shook is head, "No, I insist," he spoke calmly and slowly, now that it seemed that everyone had been stabilized and was no longer on the brink of death. He continued after a sigh, "I don't want my son, George, or my grandkids to grow up and live in a world of darkness and chaos. I am willing to put down my life to make sure that they live happily." the dusknoir insisted, staring at the glaceon with a determined look to his eye.

She looked to the blue fox in confusion, "You...brought me here?" she simply remembered waking up here. Her mind was being clouded with confusion and frustration. She felt like everything about her life was being teased in front of her, just out of her reach as she struggled to jump through every hoop to get it back. She didn't know if she had anything to live for, did she have family and friends like the dusknoir? Did she have a job to do like the glaceon? In the truth of things, no she did not. She did not remember, but she really had nothing to keep her going other than sheer fear of death and what was essentially her only real friend going down with her.

Garnet was being healed by the banette, he could feel energy returning to him. He forced himself to sit up as soon as he regained the ability to move despite the banette's protests. He had heard something rather interesting, something he was not quite aware of, "World of darkness?" he questioned, "What the hell is going on again?" the charmander's voice was still raspy and weak sounding, it hurt to speak but he needed to get these questions answered.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 7:14 am

Sova was hesitant to respond as the dusknoir pushed to join his cause. It was good reasoning, and he couldn't find a good reason to turn it down. It made him feel like the selfish thing to do would actually be to deny the dusknoir, but.... it was still selfish. It was selfish because the ghost would be going into a fight planning on winning, saving the day, saving the world. He wasn't planning on doing any of that. He'd come here with such pretty thoughts in mind, but now, his mindset was changing. He'd been trying to keep himself hopeful, but what little hope he had left was quickly dying. He wasn't planning on winning....

He was honestly planning on dying. After fighting the creature and experiencing its power for himself, he did not think he could beat it. He just didn't feel he deserved to to back to Grassveil with what he'd done if he couldn't make up for it. No, not even that; as far as he was concerned.... he didn't deserve to live. He was good at nothing but fighting, so if he couldn't help the world with that.... well, he would die trying. He couldn't quite think of a way to reasonably explain this to the dusknoir and figured he would probably be met with resistance even if he did, but that whole topic suddenly become obsolete when he heard Mirage's voice.

The question that was asked worried the glaceon immensely. Had Mirage.... really lost her memory? Surely, it was just recent memory? Maybe it was temporary! Or maybe he was just entirely mistaken!! He looked to the zoroark and tilted his head with a worried look, completely unable to think of any appropriate words. "Wh.... w-what?" he stuttered, before taking a few steps closer to Mirage.
What was he supposed to say? How could he just prove Mirage hadn't lost her memory and be done with it? "Mirage.... you remember why we're here, right?" he questioned, anxiety clear in his voice.

The charmander's question was completely ignored, being put on a lower priority than Mirage. Literally everything was on a lower priority than Mirage. Sova just stared and awaited a response, beginning to feel lightheaded as he waited. His body had been in overdrive producing adrenaline to keep him going during the fight, and now that the fight had stopped, he was starting to feel the exhaustion even more. Not just that, but the pain was getting worse, too. He'd been able to ignore it for a while, almost as if it'd gone away, but now it was coming back. For some reason, he could remember the part of the fight where he'd let S.S. take control, so he knew where his horrid injury had come from.... not that it would have been a big mystery otherwise.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 7:30 am

The glaceon did not react too well to her question. He referred to her directly as Mirage this time. So, she definitely was whoever this "Mirage" person was. She shook her head at the glaceon, inching away from him as he grew near. She did not recognize him, he seemed familiar, his identity was on the tip of her tongue, but every time she reached out for it in her mind it would erode and disappear before she could register it. The zoroark's ears flattened, scars left on her ear where her earrings used to be. They may have been clip-ons, but during the battle with the Zoroark they had snapped through her ear and been torn off.

Garnet's question went unanswered, but it was for a rather good reason. It seemed that the zoroark that had mistreated him earlier had lost her memory. He glanced to the glaceon, a sound of, "Uh-oh..." escaping his breath as his body began to feel more and more better as the Banette healed the unfortunate little charmander. Due to the significant level difference between the two, the charmander was healed up much more quickly than the others and to full health. The dunsparce by Mirage awoke, before getting right back to work with the Pain Split, working to do a bit more to equalize their health at a high state.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 8:11 am

Mirage's only response was moving away shaking her head, and Sova felt another wave of pain in his chest.  However, this one didn't feel like it was from the injury.  It felt more like it was in his lungs, or.... his heart.  His ears slowly flattened as he stared at the zoroark, feeling utterly crushed.  His legs began to feel weak and shaky, but he forced himself stay standing regardless of what effect it would have on his body.  Tears welled up in his eyes and he stared for a few more seconds before speaking again: "Alright.  That's.... my fault; I deserve it."
He did his absolute best to keep his voice clear, but it was wavering audibly.

He stumbled backward and turned away from the zoroark, nearly falling in a mix of shock and exhaustion as he did so.  He faced the direction the purple creature had gone in and just started walking, feeling like his paws were weighed down with every step.  He didn't dare look at anyone and he was really hoping none of them would follow him or try to stop him, or.... or else....  He didn't quite know what he would do if he had to stay here any longer, being reminded of how his own weakness punished others.

Now, his mindset had changed a bit.  He just wanted to die, even if he managed to kill the creature.  However, he wanted to kill it even more now.  Now.... he wanted both.  He had no interest in living, and he had no interest in letting the enemy live.  He was not in the mood to let anyone come with him and try to "save" him, and his reaction to anyone trying to follow him would most likely be.... unpleasant.  He stumbled as he walked, a mix of unbearable sadness and anger overcoming him and almost managing to drown out the pain and weakness.  Still, his body wasn't in a very good state to move yet, and he wasn't even interested in doing anything about that.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 8:37 am

The charmander watched the scene unfold before him, glancing to the glaceon and waited to see how he would react. The glaceon turned, and began to walk. Garnet pushed himself forward, feeling fine now while the Banette agonized over the wounds that had been transferred over to it. The wounds were minor on the ghost type, but it seemed to demand some kind of reward for it helping him. He ignored the Banette and chased after the glaceon. He skittered behind the fox on all fours as his light left the light of the will-o-wisp and continued to illuminate Sova. He dashed past the glaceon and stopped in front of him.

"Hey," he spoke up, waiting for an answer. The glaceon kept walking...Garnet was getting damn well annoyed with this little shit ignoring him all the time! Garnet gave a growl of annoyance before calling out once more, "YO FUCK FACE!" before gathering energy within him. The little lizard felt his mouth become consumed in fire before he launched it at the Glaceon. It would do nothing, but it had gotten his attention last time. The ball of fire shot towards the glaceon, slamming right into the glaceon's rump. Finally, he had stopped.

Garnet caught up with the glaceon once again, "I'm getting so tired of you simply IGNORING me," he grumbled as he made his way towards the glaceon. Once he was in front of the glaceon again he spoke, "You can't just leave her," he pointed out to the glaceon, his voice still seething with anger and annoyance with the glaceon. He continued, "You're her friend aren't you? You're supposed to be there for her. I don't know what its like to have something like this happen to me, but you can't just walk off and leave her alone." The charmander pointed at the glaceon before pointing back to the group. He spoke quietly despite his angered tone, not wanting the others to hear this.

The dusknoir was unsure of how to respond to this. He floated there, watching the glaceon leave as the charmander went to talk to him. The banette laid on the ground, moaning about wounds and payment, putting a lot of emphasis on payment. He looked down to the dunsparce that helped Sova, to see that it was inching after him as quickly as it could as soon as it woke up. Its job wasn't finished, it needed to finish!

Mirage was confused, she didn't know what to do. She had upset the only one who knew anything about her, and now he was leaving. Great. The foreign surroundings filled with foreign people made her want to shrink, she did not know what to do. She was "Mirage" but what else was she? Why was the glaceon so upset?

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 10:00 am

It was difficult to see anything through the darkness, but there was no rush.  The glaceon simply paced himself, being sure not to trip over anything as he walked along.  He could hear the charmander shout to try and get his attention, but he really, really didn't care right now.  Then he felt the warmth of a weak fire-attack and stopped, staring down at the ground.  It was easier to try and keep himself hinged to reality by looking at something he could actually see, and currently, the ground was the only thing he could see that didn't just make everything worse.

He could hear the charmander approaching him, but he didn't dare to make eye contact.  He was feeling increasingly like breaking something was the solution to all his problems, and currently, there was a very breakable object being delivered right to him.  He didn't want to look, he didn't want to know what he would do if he allowed himself to focus on anything but the ground.  He listened to every little thing the charmander said, his body growing increasingly shaky as he did so.  Then there was a silence he didn't dare interrupt....  But after a few moments, the sounds of ice crystalizing around his fur started up.  His fur stood as it turned into a coat of quills; he wanted so very badly to just let his emotions take over and do whatever they would do.

The tears finally began to stream down Sova's face, and while he'd been hoping to hold out long enough to get out of sight of the others, it wasn't his main concern right now.  "She'll always have a place in my heart...." he began, then paused as he suddenly lifted a paw and moved it forward, pushing and pinning the charizard to the ground by the chest.
He lifted himself over the little lizard, causing the tears to drip down onto him.  Then he continued: "But her heart.... and mind.... just got erased because of me.  You two will be better off without me."
His voice was very strained, as if it were hard to even speak. He wasn't really making an active effort to keep his voice down, but he wasn't being extremely loud either. What he was saying was audible to anyone actually trying to listen.

He was pressing down a bit harder on the charmander than he meant to, and it was gradually getting worse as he spoke.  He truly didn't intend to cause any harm, but he really couldn't help it right now.  He couldn't control himself and didn't even notice he was doing it.  Right now, all he could think about was how he'd just lost the most important soul in his life and it was all.  His.  Fault.  He just stared down at the lizard with a mixture of anger and angst on his face.  His teeth were gritted and his breathing was heavy and shaky.  His head was spinning like he would pass out at any moment.  He couldn't even tell what hurt worse anymore.  Was it the near-lethal wound he'd been dealt, or the emotional stress?

He didn't know, but he wanted it all to stop.

Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things   Body and Mind.... are Fragile Things - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 10:34 am

The lizard was suddenly pinned by the glaceon easily, though Garnet did not quite resist and merely stared up at the glaceon with a straight face as he spoke. Namataki's tantrums were worse than a little pinning, he could take this. The charmander allowed the glaceon to speak, the pressure on his chest increasing as time went on. He could feel pain, but he said nothing in regards to it.

He spoke, "You're acting as if she's dead. She's simply forgotten, and needs to be reminded. Only you can do that. I wont be able to locate any other friends of her's, and I doubt the guild would be able to either. As far as I know she's alone, and you're the only one who can help her and you're abandoning her by walking away. If you just need some time alone then that's fine, but just leaving is just going to be something you'll regret. She can still be the same again, you just need to help her remember who she is."

The charmander ignored the tears, staring right at the glaceon as he did the genesect. He spoke once more, "I know it's not easy, but you need to calm down and think about things rather than running awa-AH." The lizard was no longer able to ignore the pain and flinched at the pain in his chest, cutting him off. Just as the charmander finished his last sentence the Dunsparce seemed to have caught up. The little creature approached them before glowing purple as the Glaceon began to glow purple, continuing its Pain Split therapy for the glaceon.

Mirage could hear what the glaceon was saying, but she could not hear the charmander's words. She didn't know what to do of this situation. She wanted her memories back, she wanted to know what this glaceon was to her, she wanted to know everything. She could not bring herself to say or do anything however other than pitifully sit there like a dumb idiot and watch sadly as her only known hope of retrieving her previous life left.
