| The archen looked around in the shadow filled forest, it was dark, but sunlight somehow reached through the tree's leaves and left enough light to let the Archen see. He wondered if his friend would have any trouble in this forest, considering she was a dark type. Could absols see in the forest? Did her odd color help her in any way? Speaking of which...where was his friend? Acro's eyes widened as he turned around, where was she? Where was Izumi? | |

| "Bah... Blast it..." Izumi muttered, padding around the forest floor. She scoured the surroundings for any sign of her partner, who she had been separated from in a moment of absentmindedness. While her type did indeed make it easy for her to get accustomed to dark places, it didn't make her surroundings any easier to navigate; not at all. Being able to see in the dark didn't make the forest any less of a labyrinth.
"Acroooooo!?" Izumi shouted out, listening carefully for any response. She cursed a little bit under her breath; the thick foliage would no doubt muffle her voice.

| He was alone, weak, and scared. Acro swallowed as he looked around in the dark forest. The Archen still thought of himself as a weakling and incapable of going out to places alone. Acro took a deep breath, trying to relax a bit as being nervous was doing everything BUT helping his situation. He had finally managed to calm down when what he thought was a howling erupted from within the forest. He gave a loud squawk in fear before realizing that the howl was actually just some one calling his name, "I-I-Izumi?" he asked quietly at first before calling it again louder, unsure of where the voice had even come from. The Archen looked about, seeing only darkness with an occasional patch of light. Was his friend nearby? It sounded like it from her call, but could the forest be playing tricks on him? | |

| Izumi heard some kind of howl emerge from deeper in the forest and a fresh pang of concern consequently welled up in her chest. Her search took on a new air of urgency; either she was going to find Acro or something else would find him first. She picked up a very faint scent of something avian and began to trot in that direction. Izumi sucked in some breath and prepared to call for Acro again, but she barely even managed a squeak before a very faint response that sounded like Acro hit her ear drums. "Acro? That's you and not me becoming a schitzophrenic, right?" she called, straining to make her voice as loud as possible so to be heard through the abundant foliage.

| "That's you and not me becoming a schizophrenic, right?" The voice called out to him. Acro squawked with joy and he recognized the absol's voice, "Isumiiiiihehe!" he called as he ran towards her. He loathed being alone, he was still a weak little archen. Even after all this time and training he was still weak and practically defenseless in his opinion. The Archen looked up at the red bladed absol, "How did we even get separated!?" he asked her in wonder. He had not even noticed the absol disappear. One moment the absol was there and the next she wasn't. He considered himself lucky that she wasn't that far away to begin with. | |

| Izumi grinned slightly and sighed with relief as Acro ran up to her.
"I don't even have a clue... This place really messes with your head; that's for sure," she responded in an exasperated tone. "That being said... I'm not quite sure which way we're supposed to go in order to get where we're going," she frowned slightly, looking all around and sniffing at the air. Izumi didn't like the idea of being unsure of where they were in such a misleading and overgrown forest.
It was worse than an untrimmed armpit, only Izumi wasn't really sure what that comparison meant because pokemon don't typically have troublesome armpit hair.

| The archen calmed himself, getting over his near panic attack. The skittish Archen hadn't felt so nervous alone before. He began to wonder why he felt uneasy alone when he had been alone most of the beginning of his life. He pushed the thought out of his mind and looked into the trees, "Maybe I can see the way to the caves from up in the trees? I know we wont see the caves directly, but I could probably see the direction we should go that leads us out of here." The archen did his best to ignore the strange swish of the trees as the wind blew past its foliage, almost sounding as if a pokemon had been traveling through them. | |

| "Maybe that would be best..." Izumi mused, looking around at the thick foliage surrounding them and really taking it in. It was almost intimidating for a bunch of leaves. She couldn't help but notice what a great location it would make for an ambush; one wrong step and your prey could easily be drug into the mass of greenery and never be heard from again.
"Yeah; if you can do that, I'd reccomend it." Izumi stated, her own thoughts sending a shiver down her spine.

| The archen nodded, and took a giant leap into a tree, digging into it with his talons and hugging it with his wings as he made his way up the wooden brown trunk. He disappeared into the trees a swish of his tail being the last to be seen before he completely disappeared. The archen climbed his way up to the top of the trees, peeking his head out to see if he could see the caves early, but no. He would have to climb higher than that. He made his way to the top, searching about and seeing a seemingly endless sea of trees, but just barely spotting the path they needed to go nearby! "Izumi? he called. But below, the bushes had rustled without the help of the wind. - This dice is not existing.

| Izumi glanced about the dark undergrowth as she waited alone for the Archen to return from the treetops. It was a shame she was really too heavy to climb such a steep slope; she really preffered jumping. Much like a (go)goat. In any case...
Wait. Was that an item she smelled?
Izumi's acute nose began to pick up a very strong scent of item from nearby; one she hadn't noticed before in the urgency of looking for Acro. She began to look all around, only half-hearing the Archen as he called for her. "Uuu-huh?" She called back absent-mindedly, also not noticing some distinct rustling in the nearby bushes.

| ((Stupid dice |D)) The rustling ceased, and the Archen had dismissed it as a slight wind he had not felt. The archen looked down to the red bladed absol, "I found a path, we could use that and find our way around easily...Izu-" the archen was interrupted by the sound of a low growl. He froze as a figure seemed to appear from behind the bushes. The creature didn't aim its jump at either one of them, but had landed directly in front of the cowardly little Archen. Acro unleashed a screech that seemed to attract the creature's attention. The item Izumi smelled was a Reviver Seed. - This dice is not existing.

| ((Brain dead is my middle name |D)) Izumi accidentally stepped on the Reviver Seed as she backed up a bit in surprise. The poor seed ended up lodged in between her toes, but she hardly even noticed. She hadn't even caught the attacking pokemon's scent until just now! Stupid one-track mindedness.
Catching on to another scent that was coming from nearby, Izumi whirled her head around to try and get a visual on the second presence. She saw nothing but trees and plants, and even more trees and even more plants. She had nothing but the scent to go off of. She looked torn, but eventually decided it was best to just try to help Acro out. She slowly padded her way over to the base of the tree and waited for a chance to try and launch an attack ((assuming Acro and the attacker are both in the tree here, not quite sure X'D)), despite her lack of ranged moves.

| The archen screeched as the poochyena turned towards him. The fluffy hyena pup pokemon howled as it was about to attack, but was pushed aside by the sudden attack by Izumi who was thankfully close enough to make it in time. The archen, after finally getting over the paralysis caused by the surprise, glared at the poochyena in anger for scaring him like that. The rocks in the area were surrounded in a purple aura as well as the archen. The archen gave a screech as he sent the rocks flying towards the Poochyena in retaliation. The rocks struck the poochyena back father than what Izumi had done. The poochyena growled and seemed to wait there, perhaps for a friend? | |

| ((BRAIN DEAD APPARENTLY REALLY IS MY MIDDLE NAME)) Izumi breathed a sigh of relief. That Archen could be really potent if you ticked him off. She stored that information away in her brain for later; just in case. Meanwhile, it was about time she started poking around the undergrowth, to see if she could prod the second presence out of hiding. She shuffled around the dark forest floor, trying to get a response from whoever was hiding. - This dice is not existing.

| The poochyena howled, pumping itself up so it could dish out more damage. The grey small pup lunged at the Archen after doing so with a strange dark aura. Acro screeched as the poochyena's teeth sank into his flightless wing. He managed to force the poochyena's locked jaws free through the use of an Iron Tail. His tail slammed into the poochyena and forced it to yelp in pain and release its hold. The pooch snarled and made another leap for the archen only for the archen to flee into a tree with the pooch just below him, barking away as Acro looked to see where Izumi had gone off to. He did not know of the second pokemon incoming, so to him it appeared that Izumi had thought he would be able to handle the Poochyena by himself, and thus was looking around for something. "Um...Izumi?" he called. | |
