One Long Adventure

Previously, Jak had come to the mountain ranges to attempt to find a gift for someone. Someone he found special to him. It was something he thought would help them in their goal to get stronger faster.

This item was rumored to lay in these mountains. A gift of Joy... A Joy Ribbon.
From what Jak had heard, this item was supposed to help you gain experience faster. Making you possibly evolve faster too in some cases. He knew if this item was able to help you get stronger faster. It would make a perfect gift.

Now, that couple of weeks have gone by since his last attempt at getting some of these "Magical" ribbons. He is now on his way back to the mountain range to attempt to find these ribbons. Before he had left, he had informed Joey that he would be gone for a while for this adventure. He didn't want Joey to come because it was too much for him to handle at his skill level. Joey accepted this then but was a bit upset to see Jak leave. Joey would be patient and wait for his return.

"This time... I am not leaving until I find one..." he said with determination to himself as he traveled towards the mountain. The weather seemed pretty good for the day. He expected to stay there for a few days. Most likely going to linger in the mouth of the caves during the night or bad weather.

As he approached the mountain range, he immediately noticed that the fog had already settled over the bottom of the mountain... The black mist... He sighed heavily at the sight... "This is great..." he said with slight frustration near the base of the mountain range... He knew it would be a few hours before the mist cleared enough for him to travel. It was practically impossible to see. So for now he sat down on the a few of the larger rocks and took some time to think as he waited, keeping an eye out for any movement, an ear out for any sound...

Their makeshift Fire Spin strategy seemed to work, as the large group of Pokemon became trapped in the wall of flame. On top of that, Jak' extra Ember attacks did even more damage to them, leaving several noticable burns their bodies. With them looking exhausted and hurt like this, Brian and he clones made their move. They all jumped towards the Wild Pokemon, each with a Fire Punch powered fist, and smack each of the trapped Pokemon. He took a bit of damage himself going through the flames, but being a fire type, its wasn't too much. Soon after the assault, all of those Pokemon went down, and the Chimchar let out a triumphant yell. "Yes! Another victory! Awesome!"

Jak smiled but then realized he forgot one of the pokemon. It was still in the hole. He quickly looked all around him and saw nothing but him and Brian there. The wall of flames was dying down as there was nothing left to burn there.

"Ah crap, where did the big one go..." he stated as he found the whole and the pokemon was not in it.

"I think that the big one is the one that feel in that trap hole over there Jak." Brian said, hearing him wonder where the last of the wild Pokemon was. The Chimchar pointed towards the large hole and loud stomping could be heard inside it as the Hariyama was raging down there. "Don't think we'll have to worry about that guy while he's in there. Guess that means we can finally take a rest...oh, and look over there. Items!" Brian said as he saw a pile of items, possibly left behind by the other Pokemon. "Let's go get those man!" He said before running towards all those items, excited to get free things.

Jak {17+10=27}
Jak looked towards the items, "Yea, lets go grab them." Jak stated as he went over towards the items. A few minutes after reaching the items and inspecting each one alongside Brian. There was the sound of rocks moving from the direction of where the boulders were from which they hid behind.

Jak turned and looked at the boulders.
~A roar could be heard after the movement stopped~
Jak was staring at the boulders. He was a bit startled to realize they were not boulders at all. What stood there were two massive Golems.

"Ummmm, problem..." Jak said as he did not break eye contact with the two pokemon. "Big, big problem..."

The pokemon definitely seemed extremely hostile, looking as if they wanted the items themselves.
Jak quickly grabbed an oran berry out from his bag and ate it. Just to get a quick boost of energy before being forced to battle these two over sized rocks.

Brian heard the loud roar as well, wondering what could have made it. Turning around after hearing Jak say there was a problem, the Chimchar saw that the rocks they were hiding behind all of this time weren't rocks at all. They were in fact two large rock type Pokemon, and both looked fairly angry about being used as basically shields. Knowing that the both of them weren't in the best of shapes after all these battles, Brian had to think of another way to take them out. He then looked back to the items and saw a Slumber orb there. That would be perfect right now, and prevent them from doing much.

"Jak, can you try to distract them for a bit? If I can get to that orb over there, we can put these two to sleep." Brian said, hoping that Jak could do it.

Jak looked at brian as he asked him to distract them. "Um, ok.. I don't know how well I can keep up if they do anything too fast. You have more speed then me." Jak said as he ran towards the two pokemon.

As he ran towards those two angry golems,
Both of them formed into a ball and began coming straight at him. He quickly bolted to one side as they flew past him, quickly starting to turn around ignoring Brian due to him coming at them first. They basically took it as a challenge it seemed.

Once they started making their way back towards Jak, he attempted to jump out of the way, however this time they both seem to have went opposite directions. Leading to one of them hitting him. Knocking the air out of him. "GAH!" he was not trying to recover his breath as they make another turn.

"Well...hopefully they aren't too fast." Brian said before he dashed off towards the orb, hoping that Jak could handle it for a little while. He eventually got to the items, along with the Slumber orb, and saw another one in the pile. With two of those, putting those rocks to sleep wouldn't be a problem. However, while he was getting the orbs, Jak had taken a huge hit from the rock types, doing super effective damage due to the typing.

"NO! Get away from him!" Brian said as he leaped towards the rolling rocks and threw the orbs at them. They let out a flash once near them, and afterwards the rock types stopped moving, falling asleep due to the effects of the orbs. Seeing those two asleep, the Chimchar ran to Jak, worried about him. "Hey, are you okay? Those two are knocked out cold now, so we don't have to deal with them." He said, hoping that the Charmeleon was okay.

Jak coughed as the two pokemon were put to sleep, Brian seemed extremely worried for Jak as he ran over. Asking if he was ok and stating the others were out cold for the moment.
"Yea, I will live..." Jak stated as he got back up. "Just didn't expect them to do that." he said as he brushed himself off. He had a few scratches over his body from being partially thrown across the ground from the hit. He looked in his bag and sighed, "I am going to have to save these last oran berries I brought.. I guess, I should have brought more" Jak chuckled,  and quickly stopped after realizing that it hurt when he laughed from being crushed.

Despite what he said, Brian could see that the Chameleon was injured from the blow, seeming like he was in pain from whatever he did. While he admired how Jak was able to shrug something like that off, the Chimchar still didn't want his friend to get hurt anymore. "Well, you stay here Jak. I'll go grab those other items and maybe one of those could help us right now." Brian said before heading back towards the items. Once he got there, he saw another group of Pokemon head in their direction, though he couldn't tell if they were hostile or not. "Not another large group...can't let them get near Jak." Brian said, hoping that he wouldn't have to fight any more wild Pokemon at the moment.

Jak sighed as the chimchar ran off after stating to stay there. "I am fine." Jak stated as he decided to follow behind the chimchar.

As he had walked, he actually did feel fine. However he realized that it was a little harder to breath. So he stopped halfway, eventually just sitting down. 'Bah, why does this have to happen...' Jak thought to himself.

Jak then noticed the group of pokemon heading towards their direction also. Not quite hearing what the chimchar said due to the distance between them. He noticed the large group of pokemon heading towards them. A space between the two groups actually, walking in unison. One part of the group was 4 different flying bat like pokemon, and the others... Not flying pokemon.

From the way they were moving, the two groups of Pokemon didn't seem to be hostile. "Um, hey. What exactly are you guys doing around here?" Brian asked, hoping that they weren't wild."Well, we're a group of explorers looking for some certain Pokemon around here and...well, would you look at that? There they are!" The Dragon type said, pointing towards the unconscious Pokemon that the Chimchar and Charmeleon had taken care of before. "I'm assuming you and the lizard over there took care of them huh? Well, thanks a bunch! We needed these guys for a mission." The Dragon type said, holding out a few TMs as a reward. Brian was both relieved and excited by this. Relieved because the Pokemon weren't hostile, and excited because they would get more free stuff along with the pile of items.

Jak watched as the group of pokemon came towards them. It turned out they were looking for the group of wild pokemon that had actually attacked him and Brian. However, those pokemon were already knocked out by them.

They seemed impressed and gave them a few TM's as a reward. Jak smiled as he got back up and walked the rest of the way towards the pile of items. He then sat back down half grunting in pain. "My chest hurts..." he stated as he remained in his spot, not even bothering to look through the items at the moment.

Brian looked back at Jak, seeing that he was still in pain. This time though, the Chameleon actually admitted that he was hurting, instead of saying that he was okay. This basically confirmed that there was some kind of serious injury there caused by the countless battles they went through and the rock types which rolled into him. "Hey, do you guys happen to have any healing items or anything?" He asked the group of explorers, hoping that they could help him. Before they could respond, a loud roar could be heard in the distance, making everyone stop in fear for a bit. "What...was that?" Brian said, wondering what could happen now.

Jak looked towards Brian as he asked the group of pokemon if they had any healing items. However just after he had asked it, there was a high pitched screeching ^{Roar? It is a bat!}. Jak held onto his ears as he looked up towards the large bat like pokemon. It was coming straight for Jak as he was on the ground. Spiraling towards him in a very steep dive like fashion as an eagle would. Jak immediately got up even though it was painful. He began to take a large breath. His tail flame quickly grew hotter as he desperately tried to stop the oncoming attack. ^{Blaze Ability}

Launching a massive amount of embers at the pokemon. Just before the last of the embers had been shot. One last massive one was shot that glowed a wicked bluish white color ^Will-O-Wisp.

All shots had landed on the pokemon. The pokemon screeching in pain as it continued towards Jak. However it seemed to be in a more downward path and no longer spiraling towards him. Eventually it slammed into the ground. Getting back up and screeched once more. Forcing Jak to hold his head in pain.

"Oh no, that's a big one..." Brian said as the giant bat charged towards the group. He expected it to go for the stronger teams or even him but no, it went for the injured Jak. The Chimchar feared the worse for his fire type friend, until he saw his attacks. The Embers and Will o Wisp seemed much more powerful than before, doing significant damage to the bat Pokemon. "Wait...is that what I think it is? Is that the Blaze ability?" Brian said, realizing why Jak's attack power was so high. Before he could compliment on how awesome it was, the bat was charging towards them again, and he moved in front of Jak to protect him.

That was until the dragon type from before got in the way and blocked the bat. "Don't worry, leave this thing to us. You get your friend out of here. He's not looking too good." He said before slashing away at the bat before all the other Pokemon from the teams joined in on the action. "You heard him Jak, we gotta get you out of here!"
