The Long Mile.

"Why did we have to pick a spot all the way out here? Why not the forest or something?" Michael complained as he walked along the in the sand. "I guess this is better for training right? Make the team seem stronger and even cooler then we need to be?" Michael joked as he scanned the vast sea of sand. Michael kept looking for a cavern hidden away by the sandstorms. A warm, dry breeze blew sand around where he was standing. "I can't see the cave." Michael said looking over to Shaman.

Shaman followed behind, he found it so blisteringly hot that he was dragging his feet, it was better for Micheal really considering he was a fire type, Shaman had the right cloths though his cloak offered shade from the brillent sun. " Yeah it's called Sandstone Cave for a reason, it's made of sand stone kinda hard to see in a desert huh?" He commented flipping up his hood the sands of the desert all becoming a ocean of different shades of blues as Shaman dipped into his aura vision. Normally a riolu would close their eyes to do this but the hood's darkness that surrounded Shaman's head worked in the same way he liked it better though when he used his vision like this other pokemon could see hi eyes glow an orphan blue. " There." Shaman pointed to a patch of the desert that was shaded a more gray then blue in his vision.

"Lets hurry up before the sand becomes a problem." Michael said as he rushed into the cavern. A sudden coolness could be felt as soon as they entered the cavern. "So how far are we supposed to go?" Michael questioned dusting himself off.

Shaman followed behind his cloak dragging along a bunch of sand as the floor turned from a grainy texture to the cool flat surface of stone. Shaman let his hood dropped and looked into the cavern it was pretty dark but thankfully Micheal's tail light was useable as a torch. Looks like being a fire type was good for something shaman though to himself. " Till our legs give out, apparently the caverns endless." He commented remembering things he'd heard.

"Seems like a good plan." Michael nodded and started walking. Michael walked along the cavern, feeling small amounts of sand as he walked. every step he took it seemed to get cooler and more pleasant. "So why did you choose the desert? We could have just gone to the forest." Michael said through the silence of the cave and tried to get his fire to be brighter.

Shaman let Micheal lead so he wouldn't just be looking into an endless void of dark. " We already know where the forest is and what's in it." Shaman commented." I've slept in it a million times probably in every single tree too." He wasn't sure if that was bragging or not. " The point of being is explorer isn't to go to places you've already been it's to go somewhere new." He explained. Shaman would know having to listen too all the tales other explorers brought home all Shaman ever did was sleep it always gave him a bad taste in his mouth when others had such amazing tales.

"Ya that's true. So how far down do you think we have to go before we find something?" Michael added. He kept walking. "And its also a good thing I came along, Or you'd probably spend your time finding a tree you didn't sleep in." Michael joked.

" Psssstttt I guess not exactly easy to train or anything when your alone." Shaman commented , he placed a paw on the side of the cave, the side wasn't as solid and stone like as the floor Shaman could have probably punched right through it if he really tried.

"Hey, can you hear that?" Michael whispered. "It sounds like running water." He continued forward, not sure if there was anything up ahead or not.

Shaman blinked. " No?" He said at first starting to put up his hood to take an aura look at things but realized if it was in the cavern they would find it and if it wasn't Shaman wouldn't be able to see far enough threw the sand walls." Where's it coming from?" Shaman asked.

"I don't know, it might be above us." Michael looked around. He kept walking, looking as far as he could in every direction. "I can't find it." Michael sighed. He continued to keep walking hoping they would find a place to train soon.

Shaman's cape flapped the flame was covered for an instant but in the blink of darkness Shaman vanished from Micheal's view hiding in the dark. " Here's good for training." Shaman's voice echoed all around the cave making it nearly impossible to track.

"So what kind of training do you want to do?" Michael said, confused as he noticed Shaman had disappeared. Michael Got ready for whatever his partner was planning. A faint red glow grew around Michael. the aura expanded outward, showing flecks of dark blue and black danced around him. the aura quickly faded and Michael let out a small sigh.

" Well since battling and training are alot like games I was thinking Micheal why don't we play a little game?!" The childish joy as Shaman said game had become some what of a trade mark of the young riolu. Micheal would have to learn to enjoy his games or this team was going to eb some what of a challenge.

"All Right, game it is." Michael smirked. He won the last game against Shaman, so a second game would be a piece of Gummy. "Ready whenever you are." Michael replied. Michael used another Dragon dance and got ready for the battle.
