One Long Adventure

Jak {32-18=14}
Previously, Jak had come to the mountain ranges to attempt to find a gift for someone. Someone he found special to him. It was something he thought would help them in their goal to get stronger faster.

This item was rumored to lay in these mountains. A gift of Joy... A Joy Ribbon.
From what Jak had heard, this item was supposed to help you gain experience faster. Making you possibly evolve faster too in some cases. He knew if this item was able to help you get stronger faster. It would make a perfect gift.

Now, that couple of weeks have gone by since his last attempt at getting some of these "Magical" ribbons. He is now on his way back to the mountain range to attempt to find these ribbons. Before he had left, he had informed Joey that he would be gone for a while for this adventure. He didn't want Joey to come because it was too much for him to handle at his skill level. Joey accepted this then but was a bit upset to see Jak leave. Joey would be patient and wait for his return.

"This time... I am not leaving until I find one..." he said with determination to himself as he traveled towards the mountain. The weather seemed pretty good for the day. He expected to stay there for a few days. Most likely going to linger in the mouth of the caves during the night or bad weather.

As he approached the mountain range, he immediately noticed that the fog had already settled over the bottom of the mountain... The black mist... He sighed heavily at the sight... "This is great..." he said with slight frustration near the base of the mountain range... He knew it would be a few hours before the mist cleared enough for him to travel. It was practically impossible to see. So for now he sat down on the a few of the larger rocks and took some time to think as he waited, keeping an eye out for any movement, an ear out for any sound...

Jak {14 - 10 + 1 = 5}

Jak looked up to see the pokemon dashing towards him again. However a flurry of embers pelted it. "RAAGHHH! WHY YOU LITTLE!" The primape shouted as it turned towards the direction of where the embers came from. It then started rushing towards the chimchar.

Jak built up a flame as quickly as possible, compacting it down into a small point, making it glow a wicked bluish white color just before launching the wisp of flame at the Primape. It made a direct hit leaving a viscious looking burn on the primape. It even seemed to be missing some fur where it hit.

"RAAAAGHHH! QUIT! IT!" The Primape came swung around attempting to hit Jak with multiple swiping punches. Jak then jumped onto it, attempting to pin him to the ground. "DUDE! CALM DOWN!" he shouted at the pokemon. It seemed to have only made him more angry though as it then grabbed Jak and threw him against another rock.

"GAH! I can't hold up much more of that crap!" he half shouted in pain then spoke his thoughts out loud on accident.

Brian's Ember had hit it's mark and was soon followed by another one from Jak, causing some of the Primape's fur to be burnt off. He was ready to use a Fire Punch but Brian stopped when he saw the Chameleon pin the fighting type fairly easily. The Cbimchar was impressed by his battling abilities, being able to hold down the raging ale after swjftly dodging it's fierce attacks. Brian loved to see others fight, as it allowed him to learn and potentially develop from doing SL While hhe'd much rather fight a battle rather than watch, he didn't necessarily mind doing the latter. Besides, it didn't seem like Jak needed much help here.

That was true until the Chameleon was thrown away once again, with Brian leaping into action now. His fist became smothered in flames as it was thrusted towards the Primape with a powerful Fire Punch.

Jak {5}
As Jak had been thrown once more, The Chimchar went into an offensive once more, throwing a flaming fist towards the Primape. Scoring a direct hit it seemed.

The Primape actually stumbled back a bit. It seemed to be growing tired. "GAH! You are going to pay!" the Primape shouted once more.

Jak sighed as this seemingly invincible Primape had to give way sometime. "Dude, Just calm down!" Jak stated as he grabbed the pokemon and pinned it to the ground once more. This time ensuring it could not move.

It was a bit difficult since he didn't exactly have the type of paws/hands to hold him down. Just keeping enough weight down and preventing movement was all he could do.

"Geeeet OFF MEE!!!!" it shouted as it seemed he actually got stuck.

"Not until you calm down!" Jak stated as he continued to hold him down.

The Fire Punch had hit it's mark, and served to anger the Primape even more. Before it could do anything to Brian however, Jak had gotten it pinned once again, being much more effect than before. The Chimchar really admired how much punishment the Charmeleon could take, being tossed around like a ragdoll but still having this much energy and strength.

"Okay, you've let out your anger now. Now if you don't come over here and stop acting like a baby, my mother will kill me for not getting you back in time...and I'll do much worse to you beforehand..." The bat Pokemon said menacingly, staring at the Primape with an intense glare in her eye. Brian could feel a small drop of sweat drop down his cheek, somewhat scared from how scary she was acting.

Jak {5 + 10}

The Primape glared at the Noibat at first but after making eye contact he immediately backed down. "I, ERRRR." he was getting a bit frustrated but as she stated that she would be doing much worse to him before hand, He immediately shut up and froze stiff. "No, I will stop! I promise!" he stated.

Jak got up a little bit to let the pokemon move some as it seemed to be giving up. Jak sighed as he got completely up. Being quite tired from the ordeal. "You put up one hell of a fight, Just need to control that anger of yours." Jak stated, "If you thought clearly without anger, you can do soo much more." Jak stated as a helpful tip for the pokemon.

It stared at him for a moment, before looking away. "Thanks for the tip," he grumbled. Jak took out one of his berries from his pack and started eating it.

A wondrous luscious blue berry, full of energy. He enjoyed it as he slowly gained some strength back.

"Good, now lets get going...you better be telling the truth." The bat Pokemon said, looking a little less scary now that the Primape was complying with her demands. Brian was a little dissapointed about the battle having to end, and him not being able to be more involved in it, but with how angry the bat Pokemon was getting...this was probably for the best. "What he said. Getting so angry while battling prevents you from focusing, which can make for some easy mistakes. Plus, you won't be able to enjoy the battle much either if you're acting like that." Brian said, smiling at the Primape while he was walking away.

Jak {15 + 10 = 25}

Jak still feeling the need to get some more energy due to his exhaustion caused by the Primape seem to dominate him. He pulled out another oran berry as looked towards the Chimchar. "Oh, sorry about that. Here" Jak went into his bag, searching for something.

"Ah, here we are." Jak said as he handed the chimchar. "Don't worry, I got enough supplies for now. I don't want to be eating in front of ya like that. I just was getting so tired from all that." he stated as he just saw the 2 pokemon start to leave from view through the mist.

At some point earlier, the mist seemed to have gotten a bit lighter. Still too dark to determine what point on the mountain they were at, If they were even on the mountain base at all that is.

Brian grinned when he saw the Oran Berry. He hadn't done much in that battle, but still it's hard to pass up something free, especially food. "Oh, a nice little Oran Berry. Thanks Jak!" The Chimchar said as he took the Oran Berry and tossed it in his mouth. Chomping on the juicy blue berry, Brian could feel a bit of an energy boost afterwards. "Man, that taste never gets old." He said as he finished gulping down the berry, now ready to get back to exploring.

"Alright, let's get back to going up this mountain. The mist seems to have lightened up a bit like you were hoping, so now is a better time then ever." Brian said with enthusiasm as he started moving back in the direction the two were going before, ready to see more of this area.

Jak {25}
Jak smiled as the chimchar enjoyed its plump juicy oran berry. Seemingly being excited as it noticed that the mist had lightened up as Jak had hoped.

"Yea, Hopefully it will get even better as the day goes on. It sometimes can clear up completely for a bit before returning." Jak stated as he started walking besides the chimchar.

Jak heard a sound in the distance just beyond the field of view they could get out of the mist. "I wonder what that could of been." he stated as they walked.

"It can clear up completely here? Really? I haven't been here more than once, but I've never heard of the mist here vanishing like that." Brian said, not believing that it was possible. Maybe he could be wrong though. Maybe Jak had been to Black Mist before and seen this happen, or maybe heard from a friend that it was possible. Regardless, he didn't really have much of a reason to deny this. Besides, if this turned out to be true, then that would make the fire type's travel up the mountain much easier.

However, to counteract the potential easier trip, some wild Pokemon started heading their direction. A goat, dinasaur, dragon, and the only one he recognized, a Scrafty were moving towards the two. "Looks like we may have another battle on our hands here Jak. You ready for it?" Brian said, preparing to be much more involved this time around if it came to that.

Jak {25 - 5 - 5 - 1 - 2 - 5 = 7}

Jak looked ahead and noticed the four pokemon heading straight for them. Unlike the last battle he was forced into, these pokemon did not come in raging like a big baby. "Yea, it would seem that way." he stated as he got into a defensive stance. He then noticed the goat one turn to another direction off to the side, still heading in their general direction though.

Where is that one going... Jak thought to himself. Jak then noticed the dinosaur pokemon jump up into the air for a moment. "Is that... CRAP!" he shouted as he quickly braced for the incoming shockwaves to come. ^Earthquake.

As the earthquake started to take effect, the goat seemed to be clear of it's range and the scrafty seemed to use each shake of the land to launch itself forward a little bit closer to them. "How, are they so organized." he said to himself.

He then noticed the Goat jump into the air towards their direction.

Brian was just as surprised as Jak when he saw the group of Pokemon start their attack. The dinosaur used an Earthquake to shake up the ground, and the others moved out of the range of it. He jumped up to dodge the shockwaves caused by the move, knowing it would be super effective. "Yeah, this is weird. Normal wild Pokemon wouldn't be organized like this, especially ones with different types like this..." Brian said, confused as to how these Pokemon were able to act like this. The Chimchar couldn't think about this for too long though as he saw the goat jump towards the two. Brian retaliated by blasting it with an Ember attack, hitting right on the mark as the goat was unable to dodge in the air.

"Alright, direct hit!" Brian said as the attack knocked the goat out of the sky. Before he could celebrate to much, a glowing blue sphere came towards him. The dragon had used this time to launch a Dragon Pulse at the Chimchar, and just like the goat, couldn't dodge due to being in the air. "Oh crap..." He said as the sphere blasted him, sending the fire type flying back to the ground.

Jak {7}

Jak had been slammed with the shockwaves from the earthquake. As the shockwaves had ended, he was flat laying on the ground. "FINALLLYYYYYY." he groaned as he got up. He had noticed during the quake the chimchar had struck the goat pokemon midair with embers, however something else struck him as he was in the air.

It looked like it hurt. However shortly after the quake had ended. There was an absolutely powerful roar that had occurred from a nearby crevice in the land.

"What the hell was that?!" Jak shouted in complete shock. The pokemon that had been attacking them seemed to have stopped to look in the direction of the roar.

Shortly after something came smashing through the wall of rocks. Once again releasing another roar. "He, does not look to happy." Jak said slowly as he stared at the pokemon smash through the wall / ground.

He chuckled very lightly as if an "Oh shit, this is gonna hurt" kind of moment was going to happen. Where the pain would inevitable happen.

Brian fell to the ground after being hit by the Dragon Pulse, taking some big damage from that. He wasn't down for the count yet, but the attack had definitely hurt. Still, this was getting interesting for the battle loving Chimchar. Coordinated attacks like this weren't something you usually saw in the wild like this, so something along these lines was so intriguing. It only got him more pumped to fight, his flame tail flaring up in response to his excitement. Before he moved to attack the dragon, Brian heard something roar in the distance. Looking in the direction he heard that from, and even larger dinosaur came charging in.

"Yeah, very very angry..." Brian said, jumping to a nearby rock away from it's charging range before using Double Team, spliting into a group of clones that began jumping around. The wild Pokemon tried to go after multiple ones, becoming distracted from having so many Chimchars around. Brian expected Jak to use this as a chance to attack.

Jak {7}
Jak stared at the pokemon as brian replied to his comment. The chimchar began to multiply. Brian seemed to be using double team to confuse the pokemon into attacking fakes.

Jak saw this opportunity, and began rushing towards the pokemon, Jumping onto the pokemon's back and blasting it with as many embers as he could. Just before the pokemon went to throw him off, he let his last bit of flames be extinguished to emit a large amount of smoke from his mouth.
