Ruins of Monochrome Falls

Jak {13} ^{-15 from travel}

Jak walked into the open area where the ruins were supposed to be. The area seemed to be completely devoid of them. "Odd... Last time the ruins started here." he said with a slightly curious tone. "I guess they must be further in now..." he finished off.

He wondered why the ruins were deeper somehow. Maybe one of the dungeon flips caused them to shift deeper into the cave. Did that mean that the dungeon expanded?

After a while of walking along the path deeper into the cave he felt the wave of negative energy hit him. 'We are here' he thought as he looked around for the nearest building. He was still wondering where everything was. The cave was completely empty somehow. He then had a though. Maybe the ruins fell downward a bit. By then he felt the ground shift slightly. He jumped backwards as the floor beneath him fell onto a slant. Making a natural ramp to what was below them. Below them were where the ruins were.

Jak had repeated what Fang did with his claws. It held him in place for the majority of the quake however the ground gave way slightly letting the claw fall out of its spot. By the time the quake was over. He was thrown against the one of the side walls. "Ouch..." he said as he got up and dusted himself off. "Well now..." he said as he looked around to see this particular room was still the same. "This still looks the same... I bet if we go back down the stairs over there were we came from. It will be a different story..." he said with a heavy sigh. "Shall we?" he asked Obera as he pointed towards the stairs he was originally going to go to.

Fang held her ground the whole way. She took her claw from the ground and looked around the area. "Yes it was to big of a quake for anything not of happened. Even if it was a normal earthquake something must of changed." She said as she followed Jak. She made sure to look at her bag to make sure the strap wasn't to small. With a smirk she kept going.

Jak climbed down the stairs. The previous collapsed area was now clear however the path they came from before that had collapsed was now a complete solid wall. "Well.... Looks like we will be finding another way out when its time to go." he said as he turned towards the now clear path. The other directions was just a solid wall on each side with the exception of the stairs they had just come from. He sighed as he continued to walk along the path. He watched the walls and the ceiling to make sure they were not going to collapse again. After a while of walking it did not seem that way.

"Or we can make our own path" she said thinking it might work if they worked together. She knew it was a bad plan but they just took out a wall so they were strong. ""Best be on guard for more traps, I don't think we can stop the feelings from falling on us" she said as she walked. She waited to listen for anything but when she heard nothing she shook her head and walked on.

Jak {12}
Jak thought for a moment at the idea of making their own path. It was something someone else did once when he was in there last time. A certain Lucario decided to smash a wall.

"That could be a valid option" he said as they walked along the hallway.
"Just hope that is not too thick" he said with a smile. When he saw the wall it looked pretty sturdy so it must of been completely solid behind it.

As they continued to walk them came across a exit from that building and out into the open cave. "Finally." He said as they were finally out of that death trap of a place. He then turned around and looked at the building.

It did not look like a building at all. It was actually one end of the cave with a hole where they came from. "err ok... So its not a building that we were just in." he said as he turned around to look at the rest of the cave.

"But it might notice t be the best idea to g smashing walls down. The whole ruin could collapse" she added saying they should not go around breaking random walls. She did feel like she sensed something but when she turned around nothing was there. She turned back but then she heard a noise come from the same area. She blasted a flamethrower in that direction as it hit something. A Pokemon seemingly came out of no where and faced the two.

Jak looked at the direction of the sound as Obera blasted it with her flamethrower. The pokemon seemed to jump out of its place. It was camouflaged with the wall! It looked like a green lizard like pokemon. It shadow then wavered and stretched out towards Jak. "What the." he quickly goes to jump out of the way and the pokemon appeared right next to him as it went to strike him with claws that seemed to be made out of shadows.

He then shot embers towards it hoping to burn it some more after Obera's flamethrower. Then readied his claws for if it managed to still be up after his fire burning him.

Fang focused and extended her claw. She then clenched her claw as the rocks from the ceiling and the wall all went towards the Pokemon. She then hit it in a sorta weird way. The Pokemon was knocked out though thanks to this move."that was unusual" she said as she made the rocks go back to their original place. She didn't want the whole place coming down.

Jak saw the rocks come straight towards the pokemon after he had struck it with his embers. It was completely knocked out. "ouch.." he said to himself as that looked like it would hurt pretty badly. He then looked towards Obera. "That seemed a lot stronger then last time." he said as he watched her place the rocks back in place. It was as if they had never been taken apart in the first place.

He then looked back towards the pokemon that was now laying on the ground. "Heh. That was neat how it blended in perfectly..." he said somewhat wishing he could do that.

Fang nods. "It's because I keep using the move. I'll keep getting stronger as I use it and faster" she said as she looked at the area she had taken the rocks. "Yes it does seem that way" she said as she turned around. "Let's keep moving" she said as she turned around and started walking. She w o wondered what the Pokemon was and how to did that. She needed to remember to be on guard less she was snuck up on.

Jak gave a slight nod as she stated they should get moving again. He then followed her through the path between each building. Or what was supposed to be buildings. They looked more like a pile of rocks arranged in squares since most of them were collapsed.

Then Jak noticed the large cube he had seen last time he visit there. "Over here." he said as he walked towards it. "This one thing... Is the only thing that seems to remain the same after each shift. Only difference is where you find it if anything." he said as he looked at the giant cube with the odd symbols written all over it. They were unknown runes. Something he has still yet to learn how to read.

The runes though if they were read by someone who could read them would state the origin of the temples there. What had happened to it. Even more odd was the fact it had even recent events recorded in it. Only things of significance though. It doesn't have anything like who entered the dungeon and when.

Fang looked around the whole area. All the broken buildings made her wonder something, had these buildings been destroyed due to the years this place had been abandoned. Or did something attack the Pokemon here and destroyed the buildings that was. Even if you hid something it was bound to be found one way or the other. Being her she didn't voice her opinion.

"Maybe it's the thing that activated the trap" Fang said as she looked at the runes. Though she knew how to read unknown this time she couldn't. It was to faded from the time it had been here it was unreadable even to her. She did manage to get a few things from the words that were not faded. Most of them talked about events like it was a diary. "It's to faded I can't read it" she said as she looked farther into the ruins.

"Isn't it a bit strange how quiet this place is" Fang said as she waited for some sort of noise.

Jak looked towards Fang as she said that it could be the thing that activated the trap. He looked at the distance that the cube was from the trap they came out of. It was a fairly sizable distance.

"That would make some sense. But I wonder how it works from all the way over here..." he said as he pointed the spot where they came from and the large distance between the cube and the trap.

He looked around as she said it was a bit strange how silent the place was. "Yea... There is not much sound down here unless something is falling apart..." he said as he looked towards some of the closer buildings that were still standing but were in bad condition.

Fang shrugged at this. She didn't know it could if just been a simple rope pulling it. Though it wouldn't make much sense for a rope to last this long without falling apart. "Yes it would be wise to watch out for random falling buildings. Wouldn't want you dying now" Fang said as she turned to look at another hallway. "Not this way" she said sensing a strange presence coming from that direction. It even made Fang shutter slightly there must of been a lot of feral Pokemon there.

She instead turned and walked down another hallway not sensing anything coming from there

Jak listened to Obera as she stated that she didn't want him dying there from one of those buildings.
"I could say the same for you. However I think you would be able to get out of that situation pretty easily." he said with a smile.

Jak watched as Fang was deciding on which hallway they should take. She eventually choose one and they continued to walk down it. Before making that choice, Jak thought he notice her shutter when she looked down one of the hallways.

He didn't say anything at the time. It did not seem to important at the moment.

As Jak continued to walk for a bit. He noticed the lacking of any fallen debris in this particular hallway. He looked up and was a little stunned to see that the ceiling had cracks along the whole thing and somehow still stood there perfectly still. Not even dust falling from where the cracks where. The floor wasn't even dusty there... Something had to have been holding it up because the amount of damage you could see along it's surface was too extensive to have stood up like that.

"That... is unsettling" he said as he pointed upwards..
