Ruins of Monochrome Falls

Jak {13} ^{-15 from travel}

Jak walked into the open area where the ruins were supposed to be. The area seemed to be completely devoid of them. "Odd... Last time the ruins started here." he said with a slightly curious tone. "I guess they must be further in now..." he finished off.

He wondered why the ruins were deeper somehow. Maybe one of the dungeon flips caused them to shift deeper into the cave. Did that mean that the dungeon expanded?

After a while of walking along the path deeper into the cave he felt the wave of negative energy hit him. 'We are here' he thought as he looked around for the nearest building. He was still wondering where everything was. The cave was completely empty somehow. He then had a though. Maybe the ruins fell downward a bit. By then he felt the ground shift slightly. He jumped backwards as the floor beneath him fell onto a slant. Making a natural ramp to what was below them. Below them were where the ruins were.

Fang didn't move. "It's just a wall" she said as she took rocks from the ground and smashed the large wall with them. She held them in place which slowed it down as fang used the power boost she got to run ahead. The wall was going slow now so that was good. She didn't know how long her will would last though.

Jak noticed she had used her Ancient Power to get some rocks to slow the wall down. He continued to run alongside her as they were trying to find an exit. He noticed another stairway ahead of them that led downwards. "Over here!" he said as he went towards it. He made sure Fang had followed him towards the stairs. He also noticed that if they had missed the stairs and the wall went over it. They would be trapped as the very end of the hallway was a dead end. He was glad to find the stairs. He noticed the rocks started to crumble away as they reached the stairs. The rocks Fang had used to lodge between the wall.

"Just stop now" she said as she turned around and looked at the wall" the stairs had collapsed so now there was no way it was do or die" she built up a flame in her body as her body glowed with a large white light. She shook as her body grew and her claws got longer. She fired her flamethrower right at the wall. She was bursting through the rocks but she couldn't break through. She'd need something else or else they'd be dead.

Jak turned around as he saw the stairs collapse. He then turned towards the wall that was coming towards them. He built up the strongest flame he could possibly make. Making it into a smaller point. The wicked bluish white flame was being shot towards the wall. He kept up building it to try to keep it as a continuous stream of intense flames. Every so often he had to stop and gather more flame as it would turn into embers a little bit after using the move. He could not produce enough fire to keep it going non stop. However he got it going fast enough to make the wall start to glow somewhat. As it got to a bright red color he then charged towards it and let out his claws as he continued to blast the wicked flame at it. He was not going to let it end here. His Blaze ability starting to take effect due to him becoming a bit panicked as the wall was starting to close in. He started scratching at the wall as it started to chip away.

It was showering sparks with each scratch he did. He still kept his Will-O-Wisp move coming at the wall keeping it heated as he chipped away at it.

There was not a small hole at one spot. "Almost there!" he said when he spotted the hole.

Fang held her arms up and lowered them as the wall got surrounded by a blue force. She focused of the chip in the wall and made cracks go along it. This was making her tired and causing her some slight pain. She then threw her arms down as the cracks went all around the wall and caused it to fall. "Jak back up" she said as she focused on the part around Jak making sure nothing would crush him. She was getting tired from the move she was using

Jak quickly jumped out of the way when Fang went to control the rocks on the wall. She seemed to have shattered it so she could control it better. She seemed very strained when she did this though. He got far enough away from the wall so she could have it fall down and they can pass through.

The wall seemed to slow down slightly when it had cracks form all over it from it being shattered in the middle. Although it wasn't over yet. Jak felt that they were going to be safe soon. He ran to Obera as he noticed she seemed to be getting tired from the move she was using. If she was to collapse from the usage he would get her through the hole that had formed when she did that move.

Obera could barely take it. Even after evolution she was still not strong enough to take out a whole wall by herself. She managed to make the hold big enough. "There" she said as she dashed forward going through the hole and landed on the other side. She gave a sigh of relief and looked for Jak hoping her managed to get to the other side. She didn't want him to get killed.

Jak followed behind Obera as she jumped through the hole in the wall. He was now slightly out of breath. "You *breathes* alright?" he said. He was visibly tired from all the fire he had unleashed onto the wall. He could tell she was probably just as tired. His tail flame was still strong however he was probably not going to be using fire for a while. He started to feel a bit lightheaded. He attempted to shake it off but it wouldn't go away. 'I hope I didn't overdue it..' he thought to himself.

Obera stood tall showing she was now her evolution. "Yes I'm fine" she said as she looked at Jak. Why am I farther off the ground?" She asked as she looked at herself. "I evolved" she said thinking she strained herself so much her body force evolved to gain the strength she needed to blast the wall. "Weird" she said as she looked at her claws.

Jak noticed that he seemed to be standing a bit taller. He looked back towards Fang and noticed she looked different. She must of evolved. He then looked at himself and noticed he looked the same with the exception of obviously not being a shiny.

"Did... did we just evolve?" he asked himself.
They must of evolved from all that work they just did to get the wall down. "We evolved!" he said with joy. He felt the need to hug her out of all the joy he had. They both evolved at the same time. It was amazing. He however thought about whether or not to hug her. He did not want to bother her if he did. So he simply smiled as he looked at her.

"Ya it seems like we did" Fang said with a actual smile "it's a bit weird to evolve at the same time though. Seems like a one in a million shot" Fang said as she looked at her claws. She closed her eye's as she felt a wave of exhaustion pass by her. She basically used her skill to stop the wall from crushing them and destroyed it at the same time. She shook this away and looked around. "Well then this is great" she said as she clenched her claw. "One step closer" she muttered out.

Jak smiled and agreed about the evolution thing. "Evolving at the same time... That does seem like a one in a million shot." he said as he was still smiling. Jak seemed to be getting very tired from his exhaustion in the so called crushing room. "I hope we don't have to go through another one of those...." he said with a small chuckle. "I don't think I would have it in me for that again." he said as he closed his eyes for a moment. He looked around and he did not notice any kind of mechanism that would push the wall. "Odd how it moved by itself..." he said while thinking why it seemed that way. "Maybe its in the side walls?" he said with some thought. After a moment there was a loud crash as the wall seemed to have met the end of the hallway.

"Maybe" she said as she looked around the area hoping to find something. "Guess they were pretty keen on keeping someone out of here. Or maybe it was magic" she said completely serious which made it more funny. She was joking of course. "Anyway let's find some more stairs. I don't feel like jumping down the broken one's right now" she said as she walked. She looked at her black arm band and loosened it. It was cutting of circulation to her arm. She liked having her arm.

Jak nodded as he went searching for stairs with Fang. He decided to go look at the spot the stairs they had originally come through to see if they opened back up. He saw they were open from where he was. It was still a ways down the hall to it. He stopped as he felt something move underneath him... "Did you feel that?" he asked Obera as he looked towards her. He stood still for a moment trying to see if he feels it again.

Fang waited for whatever it was. She knew what was happening and decided to wait. "The dungeon in shifting" she said as the ruins started to quake. She went down and stabbed her claw into the ground to braceherself for the quake. It came like three earthquakes at once. She held her ground though and waited for it to be over.
