Stronger then all.

The sun was clear in the sky as it shines down on the small pond. There are multiple pokemon sitting there under the shade or near the pond or inside the water. Among those near the lake a golden pokemon could be seen with her head low eye's showing slight pain that only a poke who could sense Aura or emotion could tell that she was upset about something.

She let's out a small sigh as she sits there then looks up. "Ok who's going to bother me now" she asked herself considering every time she had come here she ended up running into another explorer or ended up fighting. Whichever she'd be ready for it.

Jet knew that he needed to be stronger. He had actually attempted to go out on an expedition into the wilderness of Pecha Forest once before on missions with the Guild. However, those did not turn out very well. Instead of moping about his loss for too long, however, he decided to be more proactive this time. He needed more training. That much was obvious. And despite his best efforts to locate his friends and allies...he couldn't find any one of them. So, he had no choice but to resort to his previous method before he had first met Lee or Avery. Training with others out here in this pond.

It was for that reason that the Buizel had begun to approach the nearby golden Charmander. He had to admit, the Fire-type really stood out in a crowd. And not only did he look like he might be a tough opponent, while still being relatively on his level, but the coloration of his fascinated him. And getting to the core of that would be his first priority at the moment.

"U-um...e-excuse me," Just mumbled timidly, stumbling over his words. "But I...couldn't help but see you over here and I was just...uh...taken by...w-well...I-I don't quite know how to put this since I don't want to offend you or anything, but..." He swallowed hard, deciding to simply bite the bullet and spit it out. "...with the color of your skin. I-I mean...I've never seen a Pokémon of your coloration before. I've met a Charmander before, and he was orange and cream. You're...almost like you're made out of gold or something. It's just so...so fascinating to see something so drastically different from the norm..."

He decided to stop himself there, realizing that he had just gone from fumbling to straight-up rambling in no time. Plus, he still had yet to bring up the fact that he was also partially here to challenge this Charmander to a battle...but for now, that was on hold.

Fang was distracted by her own thoughts as she looked at the water enjoying the silence, she was just the right distance from other's so she wouldn't hear them and vise versa. She gave a small sigh of relief as she sat down the quiet being near something she liked this was something she always loved. But then she heard a small voice coming from somewhere she looks to her side to see another pokemon just looking at her as he fumbles around for words.

She looked at the pokemon as he talked and he seemed to talk the same as her friend Rally but she knew that was probably just a huge coincidence so she waited for him to get done talking. Though he rambled on about how she looked and how he met another charmander which made Fang slightly annoyed weren't timid pokemon suppose to talk less.

"Thanks" was all she said deciding not to talk to this pokemon unless he asked her something or he needed something. She didn't know why all pokemon seemed to find her fascinating truly being a different color was a curse.

Jet's halting of his own words allowed him to listen to the much more simple, terse response from the Charmander. 'Thanks?' Jet thought to himself for a moment. 'Is...is that all this Charmander had to say?' Well, judging by the Charmander's tone, it seemed like this one was female. Was this color difference due to some kind of gender difference in the Charmander line? It wasn't too farfetched of a theory, really. He knew very little about Charmander...but he knew plenty about the Water Pokémon that lived in and near his old habitat. Such a harsh color difference became quite possible after witnessing Frillish and Jellicent.

The Buizel would have liked to give Fang the peace that she clearly desired. But his curiosity was not yet sated. And he did not want to leave until he was satisfied and he had gotten a more definitive answer about his unasked question.

"U-um.... Is...is the color difference a gender difference with Charmander?" Jet decided to ask. "I-I mean, I know that female Buizel only have one spot on their back...and that some species like Frillish have a similar color contrast between genders. S-so, I was wondering if...if it was the same with you...?" He patted his paw together down in front of him nervously, clearly uncomfortable talking like this to a stranger that probably didn't even want him here but for some reason wanting to keep going.

Fang looked at the Buizel with her normal cold eye's which hinted no emotion behind them. She wasn't trying to scare him but she was slightly puzzled was the complement he had given her not all he was here for or was there something else he needed. She waited for him to finish talking before she decided to explain why she was shiny. Though she didn't know herself must of just been a rare trait.

"It's something I was born with, it's rare but some pokemon can be born a different color entirely" she said in her normal icy cold voice that matched no other charmander. She had hopped that was all this pokemon needed to know

Jet had to fight his very instinct to avoid shivering slightly as the Charmander looked at him. In fact, he could barely even get his statements out of his mouth in the end, as he was partially distracted by her cold glare. But still, this was research that needed to be conducted. Well, it was important...ish to him at least. But still. That cold gaze and tone of hers nearly sent a shiver down his spine. For a moment, he considered completely forgetting about his battle challenge and simply dropping the conversation there.

...But no. He couldn't do that. He was here to learn NOT to back off from uncomfortable positions. He can't back down just because somebody was looking at him the wrong way. He had to learn to be...more bold! Yeah, that was it. He couldn't afford to continue taking the coward's path...he had to forge himself a path beyond his comfort zone if he wanted to be a strong adventurer one day.

Or at least, so he told himself to try to convince himself to stay.

"O-oh, r-really?" Jet asked, admittedly rather intrigued by the idea. "I...I've never heard of something like that happening before. Although...I-I suppose it does help clear something up about a friend of mine...." His thoughts turned to the oddly-colored Froakie that was his team's leader...but he quickly shook the thought away. If it was true that Lee was a Shiny Pokémon too, then he could continue the research with him next time he saw him. "D-do you...m-maybe know of any other Pokémon that have fallen under this phenomenon? S-sorry if I'm bothering you. I just...I just find a golden Charmander to be very...fascinating."

Fang had to give the pokemon some props most who heard her talk and looked at them left screaming but he seemed to stand as firm as he could but that didn't mean she was going to back off of him just like that mostly because she only had one set of eye's and one voice so changing was something she wasn't going to do.

"Happens rarely I've never met another pokemon like me" she said still retaining the same voice. She then looked at the pokemon with a curious look before saying something. "Not that interesting I'm just a charmander that happens to be gold she" she said thinking nothing of her color.

Jet swallowed hard once again as the Charmander before him continued to bore holes into him with her cold stare and tone. But even still, he wanted to stand where he was. If nothing else, it would be interesting and possibly rewarding to have a battle with a rare-colored Pokémon like this. If nothing else, it could prove that such a rare birth aspect could affect battle capability as well or something similar. It was worth looking into, at least. Lee did seem particularly tough and smart and he was also abnormally colored. Perhaps there could actually be some kind of connection....

"O-oh, I actually disagree," Jet said, actually allowing a small smile to come across in his expression. He saw a chance to jump on his theorizing and he was about to take it. "I-I mean...is the color of your body the only difference? Is...is there maybe some other kind of physical, or maybe mental difference that comes with it? Perhaps it's even something you're not familiar with. Or...or maybe it means you are destined to do something big...a-although I guess I've never really believed in the concept of destiny before, myself...." He looked Fang up and down for a moment longer. "I-I mean...if your skin color is different, then...then who knows what else might be different that isn't tangible...?"

Fang thought she saw something in his eye's it was a small fire he wanted to fight her. She was good at detecting things like that but she decided a fight wasn't going to cross unless he tried to fight her in which she'd destroy him like she normally fights. "I don't know if it's related to my color but I can do this" she said as she stood up and held her claw up to the sky.

As she did large rocks around her slowly glowed with a strange blue energy as she lifted them up. They go up with ease as she holds them in the sky and spins them around a bit as they slowly go around her. She then throws them at a high speed into the water creating a large water splash. "That is a move called Ancient power" she said as she let her claw drop.

Jet turned his attention to the stones around the two of them quickly as Fang lifted her claw and began to clearly be the cause of the strange blue glow that was starting to surround them. The Buizel looked left and right furiously, trying to keep up with each individual stone as they spun around in the sky, his eyes widening slightly in awe at what he was watching. "O-oh, wow, that was actually pretty cool to see!" Jet said rather excitedly, his timidity practically evaporated into his excitement. "I've never seen a non-Psychic user able to use a move like that before." He wasn't sure if such an attack had anything to do with her color, though. He would have to see other Charmander for himself first, and see if any others could do the same thing.

"...Um...if you don't mind," Jet said, turning his attention back to the golden Charmander. "That attack looked so much more interesting than most I've ever seen come from a Charmander. A-and, well...you look so different.... I was wondering if maybe you would be willing to...erm...battle with me? I-I mean, it's such a rare opportunity to battle a Pokémon like you. A-and I was actually out here looking for a training partner anyway..." he trailed off, blushing slightly. He felt rather awkward, going on these occasional rambles. He almost felt like he should apologize....

"Thanks, took a long time to make perfect" she said we she looked at the spots where she had taken the rocks away nothing to bad in the ground but it would get annoying if someone covers them. She ignores this as she looks at the pokemon finally says what he's thinking about fighting, this would be her second fight here so she decided to walk over to the opposite side of the lake to avoid the water .

"Fine then a fight" she said as she grabbed and threw her bag over to a tree and got in a defensive stance eye's showing a calm and clear focus and stance having no real opening for physical attacks. But she wasn't going to use that as a guard she had a disadvantage but she wasn't going to let that stop her.

Jet looked surprised as the Charmander accepted his challenge so easily. Usually, he had to take a few seconds to convince them that he was even worth the effort. After all, he didn't even particularly LOOK impressive...and it didn't help that he didn't see himself as a very strong Pokémon either. The Buizel followed the Charmander until Fang seemed ready to go at last. It was only fair that she would avoid fighting across the water. Though Jet favored the water, he would much prefer a level playing field to start them off. He wasn't going to get any stronger by fighting with such an advantage over his adversary, despite the tactical advantage it would give him in practical scenarios.

"W-well, alright, if you accept my challenge...th-then, I hope you won't be holding back...b-because I know I won't be." Jet murmured in a shy...yet almost anxious tone. He was very curious to see what Fang could do. He observed the Charmander's stance and decided that it would be simpler to start with a ranged move. With that in mind, he nodded to her. "Are you ready then...?" he asked, readying for his first attack.

Fang doesn't even answer as she dashes forward her left claw extended as if she was going to slash at him as she makes it glow before stopping on a dime and throwing her arm up slightly close to him as the same rocks from last time fly at the pokemon with a faster speed then last time. Most didn't know but almost every time she used this move her power increases. "I don't hold back" she said as she sends the rocks

Jet's eyes widened with surprise as Fang rushed forward, aiming what looked to be a Scratch attack his way. He wasn't even sure that he was ready for a sudden rushing attack. He had mostly been expecting some kind of response from the Charmander before her first attack. However, this he felt like he might be able to handle. However, as it turns out, he was mistaken.

Fang's attack did not come from the claw, but rather from the water. The same rocks that had been thrown around before suddenly came erupting from the pool and were launched in his direction. The rocks at an impressive speed. The stones collided with his body, causing him to let out a cry of pain. He was knocked cleanly off of his feet and onto his back, having been taken completely by surprise.

Fang leaps back in order to try and avoid some sort of attack from the pokemon. She didn't notice that the rocks had knocked her back worse then she thought they would but she still wasn't going to hold back. She builds up a flame in her stomach as it slowly leaks out the gold charmander's mouth as it builds.

She then fires a large flamethrower full force at him, she knew that it wouldn't deal much damage but if he did what she thought he would she'd deal some pretty bad damage to him
