| First topic message reminder :While Sosio and her bug-type companion were exploring Pricklemist, they had accidentally discovered this amazing new place, and all because Sosio fell into a pit trap. The discovery of the amazing Perfect Apples brought them back to town to share the news, but when they described the dungeon, everyone looked confused. That's when they found out it was an undiscovered dungeon, and not only that, but there was TREASURE within. The two odd friends now returned in search of a new adventure and discoveries. Sosio was filled with pure enthusiasm. Not only was she the one who discovered it, but it was the ideal setting for a bird like herself to love. She might even consider making it her home, but for now, they had to focus on finding clues and battling their fights, and who knows what could lie ahead. - Sosio's Energy Level:

| Sosio looked surprised at his high vocabulary and way of talking.
"Woah there, Mr. Smarty guy, speak Pokemon."
If he meant what she thought he did, then...
"WHAT?! YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO RANDOM?!" Sosio flapped frantically. "Well lemme give you a random lesson: You don't think, just... doooooooo!"
Sosio first ran in circles, her good wing in the air, and the other dragging on the ground, and then ran off in the northeastern direction of where they were.

| It just happened occassionally. Having been shut off from civilisation for such a long amount of time had left William with some rather archaeic ways of speaking, which he relapsed into from time to time without noticing. And seeing how the Fletchling responded made William wish that the same would happen to her just now. "There are multiple ways to create a random result. Flipping a coin for example or spinning around and then walking in the direction you end up facing in." Just as it happened far too many times already, the group was then beset by some intruding Pokémon, whose intentions most likely weren't the most pleasant ones imaginable. "I do believe we have other worries to tend to at the moment however."

| "Oh bread crumbs..." Sosio muttered.
Already, another ruthless gang of forest Pokemon had attacked, this one so large, Sosio began to wish she hadn't shouted. Who would've thought that just a little running around would've called the attention of so many creatures.
Sosio's beak gaped in a silent scream, which she snapped shut again. Two disgusting insects were part of this brigade, causing her eyes to be filled with fear. This wasn't going to be fun...
(I feel like using a system for battles now...)

| And yet again Sosio and William would likely have to do battle, most likely against some companions of the foes they had taken care of earlier. Rolling his eyes of deepest crimson in mild annoyance, the Gengar then went on to take care of this little problem that had presented itself. Floating in front of the Dustox, he intensely stared into its many eyes, his own glowing with an eerie aura as he began to hum a haunting melody. And slowly but surely the Dustox was calming down, losing track of what was happening as its thoughts drifted off into the world of dreams. William had known this attack for so long and still its power was surprising him with each and every new use. The Ghost type could only hope to never have it used against him.

| Sosio's feathers began to stand on end, her eyes thinning, and her body quivering with an overload of some sort of energy. Her face began twitching, and she pulled out her wings as far as possible. Her eyes roared silently, but fiercely.
The Fletchling zipped forward on her tired legs, randomly targeting a Phantump and pecking it, her only choice in attack against a ghost-type. Maybe she would learn some new moves that also affected the normal-immune Pokemon.

((I dunno. I just feel like there should be more rules and better organization with battles here. So I guess I'll create my own, if you're OK with that.)) | |

| William meanwhile decided to make good use of the sleeping Dustox, not intending for it to simply sleep through the entire battle. No, it could be much more useful. Calmly the Gengar took a step towards the Poison type, placing a spectral hand on its forehead. As he did so, the Bug type seemed to wince in its slumber. The Ghost type's hand now began to glow in a bright shade of blue as William began to use Dream Eater. Slowly he moved his hand further and further away from his foe, a band of this blue energy remaining. Eventually however the connection to the Dustox's head broke, the energy flowing into the Ghost type's body completely while the Dustox just lay there, still asleep.

| Sosio dodged the Phantump's ranged Attack, which skimmed her tail, but due to her tail's flexibity, it simply bent her tail and kept going forward. The direction she ran happened to be the direction William was, but he was far ahead. What he was doing, though, intrigued the Fletchling. It looked so exotic and amazing, that she almost forgot what she was in the middle of.
She whipped around once more on the attacking Phantump, and countered his tackle with her Peck. This went on for a few seconds until her Attack prevailed, pushing the Phantump back with its super-effective hit. It retreated, having taken too much, but the other Phantump had approached Sosio now, ready to fight her with all its might. The other bug-type Pokemon just sat there. It appeared it couldn't move at all, which made things easier. Two bug types that couldn't move: perfect.

| As William was finishing his attack, he was surprised by a sharp pain in his back. Apparently the Cascoon had attempted to fight using Poison Sting. Luckily for William however his typing not only made him insusceptible to being poisoned but it also reduced the damage taken from the attack itself to a mere pittance. Knowing however that Sosio would not have it that easy to shrug off an attack like this, William decided to do something against it. Charging up all the bitterness, pain and anger he could find in the deepest, darkest corners of his mind, the Ghost type summoned forth a Shadow Ball, intending to strike the Bug type with it. William had no idea what being poisoned was like, but from what he had seen it was not a pleasant experience. | |

| Sosio was too focused on her current target to see that the Cascoon shot one of its many spines at William. While the Fletchling and the Phantump were circling each other in a watch match, however, that was when she noticed the orb of dark matter being launched at the still spiky cocoon.
This minor distraction fooled the Phantump into thinking it had a chance of landing an attack, so it shot itself forward at the bird, who simply jumped over it and bounced off its head, then dove beak-first into the fallen enemy. Not before long, she would have to move on to one of those disgusting insects...

| A devious smirk spread across the Gengar's face as he had thought of a particularly creative way to do battle. Believing for it to be too tedious to slowly whittle down the Cascoon's health until it would be unable to continue to fight, he floated over to the foe, picking it up and turning it around, setting the Bug type down upside-down. Due to its lack of mobility this enemy should now be struggling to get itself back into an upright position again, greatly reducing its ability to do battle. Hopefully the Fletchling was doing all right as well. But considering that the Flying type was having a type advantage over the Phantump it should not be too difficult. Then again underestimating a foe could end badly, so one should always remain careful. | |

| Sosio easily finished off the Phantump with a final peck. She was glad to move on from one kind of pokemon to a completely different type. However, unfortunately, this type happened to be a bug-type. The mere thought of having to touch it, especially with her beak, put her feathers back on end, and her eyes full of crazy.
She ran over to the now flipped-over Cascoon, hesitating at the realization birth that it was upside-down and spiky. Unsure of what to do, she spazed about, hitting the cocoon with her feet, wings, body, everything: a newly-learned move. After she finished flailing about, the Cascoon attempted to shoot her with a poisonous spike, but her continued flailing made it almost impossible to hit her.

| William found himself rolling his eyes. "Do you really believe for this to be neccessary? I think they are inconvenienced enough. Maybe we can just leave without having to spend further energy fighting." What was it with the younger Pokémon and their recklessness? Then again compared to William almost every Pokémon was a young one, so maybe this was just how Pokémonity in general had developed. It was a strange development though. Was recklessness really that advantageous in life? Seemingly it was. At least there was nothing else William was able to think of that would explain the frightening frequency with which characters with this quality kept appearing. | |

| Sosio stopped flailing and stood up straight, facing William.
"Um... well..." Sosio muttered, beginning to protest. "Ah, heck. One's upside down, and the other's asleep. Sure, let's just ditch them."
The Fletchling trotted away from the miserable insects and stood underneath the Gengar, bringing her feet close together and looking up at him. She flitted her wings beside her and looked about. The ambush practically called the attention of the whole forest. Leaves gradually stopped falling at the rate they used to, but the two were so busy battling, they didn't notice. All the leaves had to fall off the trees at some point, so how could more fall after there was none left?

| And so the duo found themselves wandering away from the scene of battle. It was rather surprising actually that there were so many feral Pokémon this close to Grassveil Town and yet noone had even discovered this area until recently. Then again the mass of Pokémon would likely have chased away most explorers. "So, I guess we're going to do this "wandering in a random direction" thing now. Unless you've been able to think of a better idea. I know I have not." That was the problem with open areas. There were too many ways one could take. A linear dungeon would do away with those issues, but then again that would make it much more difficult to avoid certain obstacles. | |
