It was a pleasantly warm day despite the sky not nearly being so clear as to call it cloudless, and in the warm air an Oshawott had opted to head into Grassveil Town. Violet had no clients scheduled for a training session on ths particular day and so had opted to take advantage of the free time to head down to the old disused dojo that still lay on the other side of Grassveil's outskirts. The building had been left nearly a year ago if the rumours Violet had heard around town were true. It was a shame really. If she'd have known there had previously been a dojo here before she'd constructed her own she would have attempted to get the permissions to renovate the old building rather than leaving it there to grow old and gather dust. The reason Violet liked to visit the old building despite it's abandoned state were the plants that grew along the buildings walls. Vines had taken over months ago, intertwined with plants that under specific circumstances would grow rarer types of berries. It was these berries that she was here for.
Looking upon the old building, she frowned. Though it was definitely a useful source of those rarer berries for her, she really didn't enjoy seeing the building so abandoned. Whenever she'd come to pick berries, she'd often find herself wondering why the owner left in the first place. A few times she'd asked around trying to find the answer, but to no avail. The townspeople only seemed to know small tidbits of information about the former owner.
Approaching the building, Violet scanned the vines for ripe fruits that she could pick. Spotting a few higher up on the outside of the building, she used short bursts of her Water Gun move, attempting to dislodge the berries from their stems so that they would fall to where she stood waiting to catch them below. She could probably have scaled the side of the building using the vines if she tried, but was cautious and had opted not to lest the vines be less sturdy than they appeared. | |

| Moving quickly as Enzu dodged, Violet used Psycho Cut again, this time countering the Pawniard's second Psycho Cut with her own. The dust from before had already been partially removed by the psychic power of her previous use of the move, giving her enough of an area of clear sight with which to aim at Enzu. The two psychic blades collided with one another in mid air, Violet quickly following up with a burst of water from her parted jaws, aiming to hit the Pawniard as she moved away from the direction he had previously aimed his Psycho Cut in. | |

| Enzu made a mistake and was too focused on the Psycho Cuts that he did not see the Water Gun attack coming at him. He was then hit by the water and knocked back slightly. Enzu then had to decide on what to do next, he could begin to fight in close range, but his scratch attack was not that powerful and Violet would most likely begin to copy it.
However if Enzu kept his distance, he would not be able to pretend dodging Violet's Pyshco Cut's for very long, so he decided to make this battle more close ranged, and then he would decide on what to do from there. Enzu then began to charge towards Violet, as he did so his blades glowed white, showing that he was about to use Scratch. |

| Violet hopped down from another rock as Enzu charged towards her with his blades glowing white in a prepared Scratch attack. The Oshawott however did make a move to attack as Enzu drew closer, instead using Tail Whip, wagging her tail until Enzu was close, at which point she used Water Gun to propel herself into the air and over the Pawniard's head until she landed behind him. At this point, she switched to her own normal type move, surrounding herself with a white light as she charged towards Enzu with a Tackle attack. | |

| When Violet used her Water Gun to propel herself upward, Enzu quickly stopped running and turned so that he was facing her when she hit the ground. Once she started charging Enzu needed to decide on what to do. He could either use the nearby rock to jump out of the way, or he could try to dodge and cut Violet with his scratch at the same time. Enzu quickly decided on going to a dodge and strike combination, that way he could at least do some damage to her. Enzu then began to move forward and to the side of Violet as she ran, that way he could hopefully scratch her, and she wouldn't be able turn and hit him. |

| Unfortunately for Enzu, Violet was a Pokemon with a rather quick reaction time, and so as soon as he skimmed past her rather than hitting her head on, the Oshawott merely turned her head and loosed a large burst of water from her mouth, towards the now close Pawniard. The white glow around her body from the Tackle attack had promptly faded as she used her Water Gun, signifying that she was no longer using the move. | |

| Before Enzu could get his scratch attack in, he was knocked back by Violet's water gun. Enzu quickly got back up so that he wouldn't leave himself open to anymore attacks from Violet. And now that Enzu's plan to focus on a close range battle had failed, he decided to still to mostly ranged attacks, so primarily his Psycho Cut. Enzu then began to charge up a Psycho Cut, but he didn't want to waste any time standing still, so he began to more to the side will the Psycho Cut was charging. |

| After Enzu took the hit from her Water Gun, Violet also retreated backwards, taking a moment to catch her breath and gather her thoughts. This was turning out to be rather fun, Enzu being just as skilled as she had hoped. As the Pawniard charged his Psycho Cut once more, Violet hopped up onto one of the rocks on the field, using Water Gun again. Short bursts of water followed Enzu's every move, keeping him on his toes even as he charged his next move. | |

| Enzu needed to keep moving in order to avoid another Water Gun attack from Violet. She was definitely a worthy adversary, and definitely capable of running a dojo. However Enzu had never seen her teach, he still believed that she was a capable teacher. Once Enzu's Psycho Cut was fully charged he stopped running so that there was a Water gun heading straight for him. Enzu then launched his Psycho Cut directly down the middle of the stream of water, causing it to split in half and shoot to the sides of Enzu. However the Psycho Cut continued to move forward towards Violet. |

| Violet narrowly dodged the Psycho Cut by back flipping off the rock she had been perched on when she had used Water Gun, though the move took tiny wisps of her fur as well as sections from three of the petals of the flower she wore behind her ear with it as it whipped past. The Oshawott could feel the move's energy as she just barely missed taking a direct hit from it. Skidding as she landed on the sandy ground behind the rock, Violet took a moment to remove the flower from where it was tucked behind her ear and examine the damage done to it with a small frown. They weren't exactly rare flowers, but it was still rather disappointing to see it's petals maimed in this manner. | |

| Enzu saw that his attack just barely missed Violet. He wasn't sure what she was doing on the other side of the rock, but he knew he shouldn't waste anytime waiting for Violet to make the next move. Enzu then began to run towards the rock, intending to jump over it, while charging up a Psycho Cut. He figured that if he could surprise Violet by attacking from above her, he could at least land one hit on her. |

| Having been distracted by her maimed lilac flower, Violet initially didn't realise that Enzu was closing in on her from above, however when she did, she reflexively threw the flower up towards him as if to distract him for a second, before grabbing her scalchop and holding the shell up in order to defend herself from the Pawniard's attack. | |

| Enzu saw Violet throw her flower up at him as what he assumed to be an attempt at a distraction. Most pokemon probably would have been distracted by the small flower, however thanks to Enzu's Inner Focus ability he was able to keep focused on launching his Psycho Cut at Violet. Enzu then swung his arm down launching the Psycho Cut at Violet, he figured that with the close distance she would not be able to dodge easily. |

| The Oshawott didn't attempt to dodge, but rather deflected the brunt of the Psycho Cut with her scalchop. However, it didn't completely protect her from the attack, Violet still being hit by the psychic move. Before Enzu himself landed on top of her however, she dodged to the side, releasing a Water Gun attack towards the Pawniard just before he touched the ground. | |

| Before Enzu hit the ground he was hit by the water gun attack. Since it was coming from so close the force caused Enzu to be pushed further away from Violet before he hit the ground. Once Enzu was on the ground he charged up another Psycho Cut and launched it at Violet. Once he launched the attack Enzu made a quick side step so that he was behind the rock and he could avoid a water gun. However Enzu needed to be wary of an attack from above. If he pulled that trick on Violet, she might do the same to him. |

| The Oshawott quickly dodged the incoming Psycho Cut, leaping to the side and rolling over before standing again and taking a breather. With a grin, she moved over to the rock the Pawniard was behind and climbed up onto it, calling out to Enzu, "You're definitely skilled at this," she commented, "How about we call our spar a tie?" she suggested with a smile, sitting down on the rock and staring up at through the old dojo's open ceiling and up at the sky as she awaited Enzu's answer. | |
