| Kimori sighed and stood near the entrance of the town. It seemed like it was the first time she had visited in years, but the last time she saw this small town was maybe a few months ago. She gave out a soft laugh, how time really seems to fly. The Treecko took a few steps into the town, heading over towards the Cafe. Until she remembered that she had no money. Kimori whispered a soft "Crap.." before she sat down on a nearby bench. She crossed her legs together, face seemingly deep in thought. And she was thinking.
How could I forget money? Who honestly does that?
Oh well.
She instead laughed out loud. No use worrying about it now. Wasn't even hungry yet. And when she was... well. She could always go to the nearby forest and pick up some berries.
Kimori hopped up, and took a few steps in the direction of the forest. But she promptly fell over, having ran into another Pokemon. She took a moment to question why she did this so often, but quickly remembered her manners and laughed.
"Wow, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" |

| A foul day indeed for the canine as he paced angrily through the town. His lips curled, his paws slammed into the ground with every step, and his eyes glared daggers at all that met his gaze. The creature was angry, what for? Well, nothing in particular. Zera was simply going through the town in a lovely little stroll, wondering where Boss had wandered off to. The glaceon was nowhere to be seen, and he was not even in the guild.
The mutt's rump dropped to the ground as his lips finally relaxed a bit as he simply pouted. His tail lay still as it curled to the side of his dark hips. His horns were nice and sharp as he gave a yawn, wondering when the sun was going to shine in these dark times. He did not particularly care, but it was a simple curiosity of his that had crossed his mind.
Then something bumped into him. It hardly hurt at all, but that did not make him dislike it any less. The houndoom's head twisted around with a sharpened glare as he stared down at the little grass type. A deep growl rumbled in his throat as the treecko apologized. There was no apologizing, there was only an eye for an eye. A purple gas began to float down as if it were salivating from between his sharp teeth.
"I'm fine. But the question is are YOU going to be okay?" he growled.

| A small Houndour was walking through Grassveil. It had been a while since she last had been here. She thought it would be a good idea to take a break from exploring dungeons. She had made sure to agree on a place and time to meet with Deimos for the next time they would head out. It would be troublesome if he wasn't with her to explore and she got attacked. The Houndour didn't think the Absol would like to hear she did go out alone either.
Niracamda sighed. She hadn't seen any sun for a while. This seemed to be the worst in these areas. The Houndour noticed that some Pokemon were staring at her. The reason was probably her odd coloration. Where a normal Houndour had a black and orange coat, Nira's was blue and a much lighter orange. The houndour didn't pay any attention to those other Pokemon.
The Houndour suddenly stopped in her tracks. She could see some kind of commotion a bit further ahead. A treecko had bumped into a Pokemon Niracamda knew that Pokemon well enough. She happened to evolve in that species, a Houndoom. Houndour and Houndoom always made her a bit nervous. Maybe this one would be laughing about her height and colors like some others did at home? She hoped not. It seemed the Houndoom was not happy with the Treecko. This could end up pretty badly for it.
Niracamda took a deep breath and stepped over to them. She hoped this could be resolved peacefully. "Um... Excuse me." She spoke up with a soft and clear voice. "I saw what happened just now. Are you two alright?"

| Kimori gulped. The houndoom seemed giant in her eyes, and she took a step back. "I.. I'm." Her eyes were full of.. not fear. Her eyes were full of confusion and hesitation. Surprise. And then fear, as she realized just exactly how large this Pokemon was.
"I'm r-really sorry, sir, a-are you oka-"
She was cut off by another voice, soft and clear. The Treecko turned her head to view the Pokemon, and a soft sigh of relief was let out as she felt all the fears leave her. If she had to fight, at least she wouldn't be alone, hopefully.
"U-um! It's nothing, hopefully...! I seemed to have accidentally.. upset him.." She gave a nervous laugh as her eyes flitted to the Houndoom. "P-please, sir, I'm really sorry, I w-won't bother you again..!"
Just in case, though, she widened her stance just a bit so she could jump away if the hostile Pokemon attacked her. |

| The poisonous smog dripped from his fangs jaw as someone else seemed to join in on the action, good. Another meatbag for him to-oh? Ooooh? It was a houndour, a female at that. His scowl only twisted into a cocky smirk, "Like I said, I'm fine. The real question is whether or not you'll be when i'm done with you." A bit of flames erupted from his mouth as he stood up fully, standing tall and towering over the two. The smog had ceased to leak from his muzzle as it was replaced with a crackle of electricity as he glared to the houndour.
"If you think you're going to ruin my fun and get away unscathed you've got another thing coming blue-b*tch. Just be a good little pup and stay out of my way," Zera advanced on the gecko, "I don't quite like being touched you hear? You're gonna need to pay up for that...everything you got else you're going to be scorched all over for years to come," the canine snarled.

| Niracamda noticed how the Treecko was scared of the Houndoom. She thought he was pretty intimidating. The Houndoom was a lot bigger than her. She hoped the Houndoom would calm down but obviously that was not going to happen. She realized too late that getting involved had not been a good idea.
Niracamda looked up scared at the Houndoom. She noticed the electricity crackling in his mouth. He was intimidating her, and it worked. He didn't seem scared to hurt Pokemon. Niracamda backed away a bit. What was she supposed to do? She couldn't let the Treecko get hurt by the Houndoom.
There was no time to think. Niracamda took a huge effort to shake away her fear and moved herself inbetween the Houndoom and the grass type. "Please, let her be. It was an accident." She said towards the Houndoom. She knew pretty well that this was not a good idea. She hoped that the Treecko would use this to run away.

| Kimori blinked as the threat processed in her brain. She closed her eyes, painfully silent as she realized that she had nothing to offer, not items nor money. Just great. When she opened her eyes again, she realized that the Houndour had stepped between her and the opposing Pokemon.
Waves of relief washed over her-- she could clearly see the chance to get away. But... She couldn't leave her rescuer behind. That would be selfish. The Treecko could practically feel the seconds wasting away as she tried to think of a plan that could get her and the Houndour out of there with minimal damage.
Kimori widened her eyes, she knew what she had to do. The small pokemon jumped up towards the Houndoom, and whapped him in the face with her tail as hard as she could. She then leaped off his muzzle and took hold of the Houndour's leg.
"C'mon, let's go! Run! While he's distracted!" She tugged the pokemon a few feet to ensure that she was running, then let go and ran on all fours as fast as she could. |

| His face had been rudely slapped by the small prey, and the hunt was on. The hound snarled with wide gleeful eyes. The treecko seemed to be trying to get away, how cute. He was most certainly faster than the two of them. He had longer more powerful legs that could carry him quickly, it was futile to flee. The houndoom was thoroughly enjoying this, but he still wanted payment.
He ran a few mere steps before he simply leaped over the two and blocked their path. Smog was erupting from his jaws once more, this time spreading and filling the area at a much faster pace. The dense cloud fumed and billowed towards the two, the poisonous gases threatening to poison any who breathed in save for Zera. It seemed that the houndour had been too cowardly to actually do something against him...then she could watch as he tore any items the treecko had from its little...paws? Hands? What even were those?
The houndoom's body temperature began to rise. Flames began to overflow from his jaws before he released a pillar of flames in the direction of the Treecko. A houndoom's flames were painful, leaving scorches that would burn for years to come if not treated properly. Zera did not stop there, for the flamethrower had caught the gaseous Smog aflame due to its flammability and caused a swift wave of flames as the smog was suddenly burned up. The fire spread quickly, threatening to burn any it came into contact with. It was a difficult attack to avoid due to seeming as if it was coming from everywhere, but it was still possible.

| Niracamda was surprised by what the Treecko had done. It took her a while to realize what he was doing. Once she did, she ran after him. They had to get away from the Houndoom. She had no clue what was going to happen to them if he managed to catch up to them. Deep down she knew that they could not outrun him.
As the Houndoom jumped over them, she immediately came to a halt. The small houndour staggered back as poisonous gasses drifted their way. This was not good. They had to make sure not to inhale them.
It only grew worse. As Niracamda decided to turn around and make a run for it, the Houndoom set the poisonous gasses on fire. In itself that was no problem to her but it was very dangerous for the Treecko. Niracamda looked around in half a panic. For a short moment, she noticed something that seemed like an opening.
As she had no time to explain what she was planning, Niracamda just pushed the Treecko away with all her strength. She hoped she managed to push the Treecko out of harms way. The Shiny Houndour couldn't tell as the flames were already surrounding her. The fire might not be doing anything to her but the smoke coming from the flames were not that harmless. She started coughing as she inhaled some of it.

| The Treecko's eyes widened as the poisonous gas quickly caught up with her. She quickly inhaled as much air as she could before the gas reached her face, and held her breath. And then she was blocked by the Houndoom. Fear. Fear fear fear fear fear fear fear. She was petrified with fear as she saw the Houndoom prep an attack, she felt the air growing hot. But then--
OOF. Kimori was pushed out of the way shortly after she saw an ominous fog surround her. A huge whoosh sound behind her and a burning heat wave that hit her back signaled that the cloud of poisonous vapors had erupted into flame. "Oh god--" She wondered if the Houndour was alright, but was quickly cut off by the searing heat that felt its way up her back. She shrieked out in pain, fire was the absolute worst worst thing. She could barely remain conscious as she stood up. But no, she was way too stubborn to faint just yet. She remembered she had one more tool left.
She closed her eyes and began to whistle a haunting yet calming melody. She hoped for the Houndoom to fall asleep as she finished her song.
(Kimori used grasswhistle btw) |

| The houndoom watched with glee as the two struggled against him. The houndour was not quite affected by his flames, but that did not matter. He was a bit irritated that the treecko had been pushed out of the way, but not all that upset by it. He launched himself forward again as the song started up, he could feel himself getting heavy. He needed to stop that song.
The houndoom snarled and growled to keep himself pumped and not collapse into slumber. He rushed at the Treecko with his jaws sparking in electricity as Thunder Fang was prepared especially for the little Treecko. It seemed that the meat had been a bit burnt, but he would be fine with that. The houndoom aimed to latch onto the big green tail behind the treecko, wanting to thrash it around and throw it into the houndour that had dared to get in his way. If the houndour got into his way of the treecko as a body shield, then he'd simply use her as a hostage against the treecko.

| Niracamda stumbled out of the flames. She was relieved to be able to inhale some fresh air. The smoke would have been less of a problem if it wasn't for the poisonous gasses in them. Then she heard it, a song. The Houndour couldn't tell were it was coming from at first. The melody was really soothing and Niracamda tried so suppress a yawn. It made her a bit tired but she resisted it good enough. The attack was not meant for her after all.
It was then that she realized what the source of the song was. It came from the Treecko. She was not sure what she was planning but it seemed the Houndoom didn't like it. He was rushing towards the Treecko. She figured out he was trying to stop her.
Niracamda was too far away from them to get there in time and help the Treecko. Her voice wasn't the best after inhaling all that smoke. "Treecko, watch out!" Niracamda yelled. She didn't know how else to call her. She never heard her name after all. The Houndour's voice sounded pretty hoarse and her throat hurt a bit. She tried to ignore it as best as she could. There were more important things than her voice.

| She gulped and her tune cut short as she watched the Houndoom jump towards her, and time slowed down. Well, not really. It was more of the sensation of when you trip and fall over, and the fall seems to be in slow motion. Guess that trick didn't work... And a voice. A voice warning her. She snapped out of her fatigue-induced daze and quickly jumped to the side, dodging the snarling jaws that were laced with electricity. Not a moment too soon, too. Kimori felt the air burn with energy. She took three more leaps back.
No more running.
Not as if they could run, they'd be defenseless. Here, if they fought... the odds were terrifyingly stacked against them, but if Kimori worked together with the Houndour, maybe... just maybe.... ....... She ran over to the Houndour. "I'm Kimori. Listen quickly. We need to fight, or we're goners." She felt her energy sapped by the burn marks on her back, and she winced. But she ignored the pain and got down into a stance where she could easily jump away.
And she got an idea, and whispered softly to her partner. "Houndour, use a move that can block his vision. I have an idea... You'll use a vision blocking move if you have one, I'll try to get him to fall asleep while you go around and strike at him randomly! Hopefully he won't be able to see us! Oh-" She thought of something. "Keep moving around, in case he smells us." |

| He needed to keep that treecko from putting him to sleep, the houndoom was enjoying this though. He was significantly stronger than the two that were before him, and he had Boss to thank for that. He had grown stronger under Boss's power, and he would only continue to grow stronger until he eventually surpassed even Boss. The houndoom caught the two whispering as he missed the treecko's tail. The houndoom growled with wide eyes, they were planning something!
A thick smog rolled out from his mouth once more, but it seemed that he changed his mind about his attack halfway through and reared his head back as he howled to the heavens. He could feel adrenaline pumping as he moved in for yet another Thunder Fang, this time his target of interest being the hound.

| Niracamda was relieved the Treecko managed to dodge the attack. She was really worried she would have ended between the jaws of the Houndoom. They were still in danger though. The Treecko ran up to her and introduced herself as Kimori. Niracamda noticed the treecko had some bad looking burn marks on her back. No matter how much she wanted to threat them, that wasn't really the time for that.
The shiny Houndour listened to the plan the Treecko had come up with. How was she supposed to do that? She didn't know any moves to blind the bigger Pokemon. She didn't have any items either. She was desperately trying to come up with any ideas when she heard an ear piercing howl.
Niracamda looked shocked and a bit scared at the Houndoom who was now coming her way. What was she supposed to do? How could she blind the dog? The only attacks she could use were for attacking and one was a fire attack. Wait, she could try blinding the bigger hound with an Ember attack. It wouldn't hurt him if it hit.
The Houndour had no time to hesitate about it. She could see the sparks coming from his fangs. Niracamda took a deep breath and then released a barrage of small flames at the Houndoom's face. She hoped it was going to work.
