Serious Shinigami Shenanigans

A young girl with pale brown hair tied in a ponytail, wandered down the hallway of the Shin'ō Academy (or as the locals called it: the Shinigami Academy) in her white and red uniform. Her destination was the board upon which the school posted important messages and information. She was incredibly nervous. After taking the entrance exam for the academy, she was about to find out whether or not she had gained a place at the school.

With the board finally in sight, Kiyomi stopped walking all of a sudden. She couldn't quite see anything that was written, but her nerves seemed to have gotten the better of her. What if she didn't get a high enough score? What if she would have to wait to retry the entrance exam? She was never this nervous about anything and it felt unnatural to her. But her mind focused on one thing; if she didn't get into the academy, what if she hurt her friend again?

As these thoughts crept into her already nervous mind, a group of other students wandered past her, evidently headed for the board. Kiyomi stood for a moment and watched, waiting to see what their results were. Judging from the large smiles that were passed around the group shortly after, they had succeeded. With a small sigh, Kiyomi closed her eyes, still standing in the middle of the hall.
"Alright, pull yourself together Kiyomi," she thought to herself, trying to pluck up the courage to move forward, "You'll never find out how you did if you just stand here."

Opening her teal blue eyes and nervously twisting a hand through her wavy, pale-brown ponytail, she took a few steps forward until she was stood in front of the large board. Glancing at it, she scanned all of the pinned up papers, looking for the correct one. Finding the list of students who had taken the exam, she scanned down it for her name:

Shiratori Kiyomi.... Pass

All of her former nervousness evaporated instantly and a wide grin spread over her face as she read the result. The sheet neglected to mention scores, possibly out of respect for those students who had failed, however Kiyomi didn't really care. She had passed!
There was a small note pinned to the entrance exam results telling everyone who had passed to find their name on one of the class lists and prepare for their first lessons. Nodding to herself, Kiyomi began to scan each of the lists, looking for the class she had been put into.

Rake thought for a bit, she was right. There was no way to sneak in and absolutely insane to just force their way in, that sounded like something only Tora would do. He thought for a bit longer before asking, "What if they did not know we were students? Just disguise ourselves and such.." He blinked, thinking that she would probably yell at him for being stupid or maybe a smart remark will be called that will make him even more stupid looking and angry.

Kiyomi had begun to walk away from the Zanjutsu training hall as she thought, deciding that it was a little suspicious to hang around after class had finished if they had no intention of going back in to do extra training. After walking about a meter away, she paused to wait for Rakeshisu to catch up.
"It's worth a shot I guess. Information like this, though stored in such a high security place isn't really all that important. If we go in there requesting it they might just give it us so that we go away faster," she replied thoughtfully, "After all, i'm sure they have much more important stuff to get on with."
She shook her head after this and chuckled to herself, "But we're kinda getting ahead of ourselves here. We need to put the idea in our tutors' heads that a field trip to the Gotei 13's Divisions would be beneficial for our practical education."

"Nothing wrong with having everything figured out beforehand" Rake said once he had caught up. He continued the walk with her and asked, "We're obviously going to need a teacher that's 'Out for the Students' meaning they'll do anything to make sure the students are getting what they 'need'. That or a really gullible teacher...both would be perfect, but both are also difficult to encounter around here since they don't just hire idiots as teachers as they do in the living world." His footsteps echoed slightly as they walked, he looked ahead of them as he walked, searching for any eavesdroppers that might rat out on them.

"True. I'm sure all the students will support us if we mention it during one of those basic shinigami skills lessons," smiled Kiyomi as they continued to walk, "After all, most of us wouldn't say no to an educational field trip!" Her smile turned into more of a wide grin at the idea. She knew that a lot of the students admired some of the more famous members of the Gotei Thirteen, and it was likely they'd jump at the chance to see their idols.
"We'd just have to find a suitable moment during class to bring it up," she pointed out.

"Alright, so I guess we just have to do that. Not that much of a complicated plan so long as no distractions pop up," Rake smiled, happy that they had a plan and he had not been called an idiot for a full minute. He looked to the smaller girl, "Seems like a good plan." He had meant as a compliment to her in return for the earlier compliment.
"So we just wait for the right time and strike...this is going to be a real pain in the butt though to get going."

"Eh we'll just have to wait for another of sensei's talks about the divisions and the general 'how things are run in the Thirteen Divisions'," smiled Kiyomi, her mood considerably brighter now that they had a full plan to put into action.
"I guess i'll see you tomorrow then," she smiled as she turned to head off towards the female dormitories, "See you in the morning!~" She waved to Rakeshisu as she dashed off, eager to get in some meditation with her Asauchi before sleeping. The more she occupied herself, the quicker tomorrow and their first opportunity to slip in the suggestion for the field trip would come.

Sadly for the two young shinigami, an entire week of everything BUT the divisions had passed. It was finally the eighth day of waiting before the teacher had even spoken of the divisions.
"All right class, today we'll be going over divisions and their specialties as a review. Whether you'll have a test on it or not I am unsure of right now, but it's better to be safe than sorry."

Rake saw the opportunity, but should he wait even longer so it's not so sudden and suspicious? Should he wait for Kiyomi to state it and then support her claim? He remained unsure as the teacher began to speak.

Kiyomi sat in her seat in the lecture hall with an almost bored look on her face, her head resting on her arm, propped up with her elbow on the desk. It had been just over a week since her and Rake had formed their plan, and the teacher still hadn't mentioned anything about the divisions.
The brown haired female's attention was quickly attained at the mention of the Gotei Thirteen's divisions. To be on the safe side, she waited through part of the lesson before raising a hand to put forward the idea of the field trip.

"Yes, Shiratori?" the teacher responded to her raised hand.
"Do you think it would be possible to go and have a proper look at the way the Divisions are run? Like.. a field trip or something? I mean... hands on experience is always more memorable and practical than just notes and word of mouth," she pointed out, calmly putting the idea forward.

The class began to murmur in agreement, "Yeah, it would be better if we just went and saw it ourselves instead of listening to you talking, and you wouldn't have to stand around and talk for an entire hour straight," Rake explained to the teacher, making the benefits to the teacher more obvious.
The teacher thought for a bit, liking the self beneficial side of this idea.
"I'll think about it" he said, though Rake already knew the answer was yes by the change in teaching subject and the sly smile on the teacher's face.

Though she kept her facial expression a small smile, on the inside she was grinning widely. Score! Now they'd just need the Gotei Thirteen to accept the request and then the day itself to go smoothly. This was going to be great!
"Thankyou, sensei," smiled Kiyomi, dipping her head to the tutor as a small sign of respect and gratitude for his considering of the idea. She flashed a small smile to Rakeshisu too, resisting the urge to make a thumbs up gesture at the same time.

Rakeshisu caught the smile from Kiyomi and grinned back, except more openly since every student in the class had been grinning like stupid idiots as they murmured about the field trip while the teacher spoke about hollows instead. Once the class ended, nearly everyone wanted to thank the two students for their heroic save from a long boring lecture and replaced it with a more exciting one. Although Rakeshisu did not like the crowd, he enjoyed the attention.

Kiyomi on the other hand didn't appreciate the crowd or the attention, though she attempted to grin and bear it for a short while before ducking away from the students and quietly slinking away to their next lesson, leaving Rakeshisu to bask in the attention. Tuesday's zanjutsu lesson was always spent purely meditating and attempting to make communication with your zanpakuto, so she knew she wouldn't be bothered by anyone's excitement as they'd all be calmed by the tutor.

It was five weeks before the field trip day actually arrived. It had taken merely a week to get approval from the Head Captain of the Gotei Thirteen, but their basic skills teacher had scheduled the trip date four weeks later as some form of revenge for the students talking through his hollow lectures.

Kiyomi was getting in some last minute meditation with her Asauchi in a corner of the lecture hall as she awaited the arrival of her classmates. She had awoken rather early that morning and so had arrived in the classroom even before the teacher. She was currently sat cross legged with her eyes closed and her nameless sword balanced over her legs.

She wandered through the snowy meadow that she had come to assume was her inner world. It had been four months since she had begun to try and communicate with her zanpakuto, and yet the only thing that had changed was that she could now fully explore the endless frost covered meadow within her mind. She mostly liked to just sit among the white lilies, passing the time by staring up at the pale grey sky, after all, they had been told many times that patience was the key.

Rakeshisu had taken his time in coming, and had arrived just before all of the other students to see that Kiyomi was already there, "What did you do? Wake up 3 hours early to get here?" He joked. He turned as he heard the other students excitedly making their way to the meeting spot, today was they day they would get tours from the official captains! Today was also the day that Rakeshisu and Kiyomi would disguise themselves and steal the documents that contained which sixth years went to the human world with them on that day.
The teacher soon arrived, and asked if the students were ready.

Kiyomi's eyes blinked open as she heard Rakeshisu's voice, her teal gaze looking up at him, before she grabbed the hilt of her nameless sword in one hand and pushed herself to her feet with the other.
"I wouldn't say three hours," she replied quietly as the other students began making their way into the room. She smiled at their excitement, glad that it wasn't all bad and that everyone would get something out of it, even if they had only suggested it to get their hands on some information.

A group of teachers arrived soon after their usual teacher, having planned to use shunpo to transport the students to the meeting place to save the time of walking.
"Upon reaching the allocated meeting place near the 1st Division, you will be split into groups and given a tour of sorts of a few of the Gotei Thirteen's Divisions. Take in as much information as you can, as you will be quizzed on everything you learn here today in our next lesson," the teacher explained to the class.

Kiyomi made a small face at the idea of being quizzed on this trip when they returned. After all, her and Rakeshisu would miss out on some of the information due to their trying to attain information from the 12th Division.
"Oh crap," she whispered to herself as a few last minute thoughts occurred to her. What if they weren't toured around the twelfth? They'd have to ask someone for directions... What if they were toured around the twelfth and someone recognized them when they tried to ask for the information?
Kiyomi began to have second thoughts about this entire idea as she realised the flaws in the plan. She flashed rake a nervous smile as they were told to hold onto the arm of one of the teachers so they could be transported to the allocated meeting area.

The class was quickly transported to the starting point for the tour, the captains stared at the crowd students as each student was selected to group with a captain for a tour. Rakeshisu and Kiyomi were both sent to Toshiro Hitsugaya and his vice captain. Each squad leader was either having issues from fangirls or they were cowering in fear from their captain that was chosen for them. Lucky for Rake and Kiyomi, their group was large enough for them to slip away unnoticed when they chose to do so.
"So, when should we slip away?" Rake whispered Kiyomi.
