Shiro's first outlaw mission

It was a day, just like any other day. The sun was shining up high in the skies, Flying types were chirping and the various rescue teams set out on their missions. One of those teams consisted out of William the Gastly and Tsukishiro the Absol. The two of them had just reached the entrance to the Serene Cave, the assumed hiding spot of two outlaws. One was a thief, the other was accused of disturbing the peace.
William could understand, why they chose this as their domain. The many tunnels and paths inside the Serene Cave had caused him to get lost many times on his journeys, and he might not have been able to leave them again a few times, had it not been for his ability to pass through solid matter.
The sunlight, falling onto the rugged rocks around the cave entrance, cast bizarre, pointy shadows on the warm stone below them.
A breeze of refreshingly cool air flowed out of the entrance, almost beckoning the duo inside.
A variety of scratching noises, combined with the sound of dripping water and the slightly rotten smell of mosses however, that had followed the breeze out of the cave, immediately destroyed the illusion of a place to relax. Yet, they would enter these caves.
They would find the outlaws and they would defeat them. William knew it.
"Are you ready?"

Kim was content with looking at the sparkling clear water. She liked how clean it looked. "So.... How did you two meet?" She asked. She left any items she saw alone. She didn't want to make this team she found mad. Just seeing this place was enough to make this trip worth it.

"Nice find by the way, William. But don't worry, I wasn't planning on drinking from it anyhow," replied the Absol. She did however pad up to the edge of the water, glancing in it to see her reflection. Shiro blinked, making a weird face at herself before she chuckled and turned back to the others.
"I met William and our other partner, Nate when I was trying to complete a mission I'd taken on in Pecha Forest," blinked Shiro, giving Kim a rather basic explanation rather than delving into the tiniest details.

"Yeah...long story short, I helped her on a mission and after that she wouldn't let me leave. So we ended up here.", William tried to sum up the story of their first meeting, deliberately leaving out everyone having been scared of him.
"Before that, I was mostly wandering around the world...and what got you to where you are now, if you might allow me asking?"
To be honest, William wasn't interested in the Axew's backstory, but he assumed, that it couldn't hurt to be polite after all.
Just in that moment, a white blur raced past the trio, screaming something inintellegible. Around its neck, it seemed to be carrying a Mystic Water.
William spontaneously decided never to be polite anymore.

Kim was about to tell them when she was the white blur. "What the heck was that?" She asked. She looked at the direction it ran in and where it came from. "Should we follow it?" She asked. The conversation from earlier in the back of her mind now.

"I believe it was carrying the item we need to get back so yes I think we should follow it!" replied Tsukishiro, already bounding after the white blur. With some quick thinking, the Absol used Quick Attack, rushing ahead of the white blue and blocking it's exit through the tunnel that her, William and Kim had just arrived in the cavern from. Sliding to a halt in front of Shiro, the white blur revealed itself to be a Vigoroth.

"That seems to be the Vigoroth we are looking for. Okay, don't try any mind games and surrender, otherwise we'll have to use force. You have gotten away with your crimes for now, but the empire of the guild strikes back. So...what shall it be?"
While William hoped for the Vigoroth to surrender, he knew, that it wouldn't be an outlaw, would it even consider surrendering. And as a Normal type, it was immune to his strongest attack as well. Thus, the Gastly was already preparing for battle. Hopefully everything would go well...especially with the Axew on their side...

Kim got a Dragon Pulse ready. "Things will be easier on you if you surrender." She said trying to look like a part of the team. She wouldn't let this pokemon see she was weak. He would probably go after her if he did. She knew this would be hard because one of her friends couldn't do much to this Vigoroth.

With a snarl, the Vigoroth merely turned and attacked. Seeing as normal type attacks could not hurt the Gastly, the Vigoroth targeted the Axew. It's usually black claws were glowing white as it used Scratch, speeding towards Kim and swiping at her in an attempt to do damage. It was clearly not surrendering.
Quickly taking action, Tsukishiro readied a Dark Pulse attack. The Vigoroth's back was foolishly turned toward her and so she had a large if not easy target. Releasing the beam, it headed straight for the Vigoroth's white furry back.

"Why did I even ask? Does anyone actually surrender upon being told that?"
Of course the Vigoroth had targeted the Axew. Since most of William's moves weren't too useful in this situation, he decided to simply try and charge into the fuzzy beast. Hopefully it would hurt it more than it would hurt him.
During the encounter William couldn't help but wonder. Why were Normal types immune to Ghost type attacks? Were they careless enough to ignore all that negativity? Or was there another reason?
For now, though, it was time for battle and not for contemplation.

Kim freaked when the Vigoroth rushed at her with his Claws ready to scratch her. She threw her dragon pulse as him and tried to dodge. She clearly needed a lot of training in the future. Her movements where stiff and lazy. Nothing a few days of good hard training couldn't fix but it would make her a prime target is she didn't be careful.

After being hit by the Dark Pulse, Vigoroth changed it's direction, swiftly stopping it's attack on Kim and moving out of the way of William's charge, dodging the incoming Dragon Pulse at the same time. It changed direction and charged at Shiro, who used Quick Attack again, meeting Vigoroth's Scratch attack half way. The Vigoroth's arm got caught between Shiro's scythe like horn and her head. Using this to her advantage, the Absol switched to a Feint attack, using her horn to slice at the Vigoroth's arm before he could retaliate. She then nimbly rolled to the side, pulling him onto the ground using his arm. Freeing her horn, Shiro quickly got to her feet, catching her breath after her risky but quick movements.

As William's charge had missed and it was rather difficult to stop without touching the ground, he floated quite a bit away from the scene of battle. But since he didn't have much of a choice, he Gastly found himself floating back to the place, where Shiro had just hit the Vigoroth with what appeared to be a Feint Attack. Fighting dirty like that wasn't really something William was too fond of, but since she was on his side, he just had to accept it. Hopefully he would still be able to help, despite having had to waste that much time recovering from his attack.

Kim didn't stand there and watch. She was trying her best to help. She used another dragon pulse. It was her strongest move and allowed her to keep her distance. "Be careful. He's fast." She said to William as he floated by her.

Tsukishiro nimbly hopped backwards as she saw Kim using the purple Dragon Pulse move once more. She wanted to avoid being accidentally hit by the move because she was too close. The Vigoroth pulled himself back to his feet, only to be hit by Kim's Dragon Pulse. However, because of Kim's lower level and lack of experience in battle, the move did not do as much as expected. Now knowing this, Vigoroth used Night Slash, it's claws emanating a dark, black aura as it leaped towards Kim, attempting to strike the Axew with it's move.

"No, really? I would never have guessed.", William sarcastically commented.
As he finally reached the other three again, the Vigoroth was just about to leap towards the Axew, its claws glowing in a painful black. Still, while William didn't have the most resistance against this type of attack, he assumed, that the Dragon type would fare even worse against it, not due to her typing but rather her lower level. Thus, the Gastly decided to take the risk and attempted to charge into the Normal type mid-leap.
