It was a day, just like any other day. The sun was shining up high in the skies, Flying types were chirping and the various rescue teams set out on their missions. One of those teams consisted out of William the Gastly and Tsukishiro the Absol. The two of them had just reached the entrance to the Serene Cave, the assumed hiding spot of two outlaws. One was a thief, the other was accused of disturbing the peace. William could understand, why they chose this as their domain. The many tunnels and paths inside the Serene Cave had caused him to get lost many times on his journeys, and he might not have been able to leave them again a few times, had it not been for his ability to pass through solid matter. The sunlight, falling onto the rugged rocks around the cave entrance, cast bizarre, pointy shadows on the warm stone below them. A breeze of refreshingly cool air flowed out of the entrance, almost beckoning the duo inside. A variety of scratching noises, combined with the sound of dripping water and the slightly rotten smell of mosses however, that had followed the breeze out of the cave, immediately destroyed the illusion of a place to relax. Yet, they would enter these caves. They would find the outlaws and they would defeat them. William knew it. "Are you ready?"

| Kim watched the pokemon. William had done something to him. Before she could try saying something he attack the ghost with a super effective move. That didn't bode well for them. She fired a dragon pulse at the Loudred hoping it would distract the pokemon enough to miss. |

| The Loudred was hit by the Dragon Pulse, but being hit inside his parted jaws did not make the angry Pokemon any calmer, instead it only served to enraged him more, despie the fact that it hadn't done much damage wise. The Loudred turned his attention to the Axew that had interrupted his Bite move, focusing on getting revenge. The Axew's attack not powerful enough on it's own to defeat the much stronger Loudred, Shiro quickly joined in, using Dark Pulse.
The attack's power increased by Shiro's natural typing as well as her higher level, it did rather a lot more than the Dragon Pulse, Loudred staggering backwards from the hit.

| As he was luckily saved from the Loudred's Dark type attack, William utilized the moment of his adversary staggering backwards to his advantage. Since the Normal type was nearly blind, using Hypnosis wouldn't help at all, thus the Gastly's ghastly and ghostly gases were used to form a carpet of noxious fumes directly around it. While Poison wasn't his preferred type of attack, it was still a fitting type for his species, which had a natural affinity for attacks of this type. For some reason they weren't able to learn those normally however. Was this some kind of cruel joke of evolution? This was not the time to complain however. This was the time to save an Axew from killing herself! | |

| This cave was dangerous. If Kim ran away she could get lost or even worse attacked. But if she stayed here the Loudred would likely target her. She had to think. Without Dragon pulse it was very dark. Perhaps she could use that to her advantage. She looked at William. "Can you use Flash?" She asked. It would help confuse and blind the pokemon. |

| Shiro blinked, confused for a second. Had something given the young Axew accompanying them the idea that either of them knew Flash? If not, it was hell of a random guess. However, the Absol didn't have time to dwell on the question as the Loudred was once again roaring in it's obnoxiously loud voice, likely in anger at being attacked by the trio.
This time however, the loudness of his voice echoed around the dark cavern. As it did so one could hear part of the cave collapsing nearby. Able to see vaguely in the dark, Shiro glanced around to see where the cave was falling apart. It took her a moment but she realised it was the area nearest to the Axew, who could't see in the darkness as she had used Dragon Pulse to attack the Loudred.
Using Quick Attack, Shiro swiftly leaped over to the Axew. With no time to choose another way, the Absol grabbed the Axew in her jaws using the pale green collar-like thing around Kim's neck. Shiro quickly leaped out of the way of the rockfall, a white trail following her movements as a result of the Quick Attack. The feel of Shiro's jaws on Kim's neck would probably hurt a bit, but it was better to feel slight pain than be killed in a cave in.
As the dust cleared and the light from Shiro's Quick Attack dulled and dissipated, creating darkness once more, it was unclear in the silence whether everyone was safe.

| "Uh...no, I don't know Flash. Being able to see in the dark makes it kind of unnec-" A deafening roar abruptly cut off William, who quickly glanced around the room, trying to find the cause of the noise. But this time it wouldn't matter. Hearing a deep, rumbling sound just above them, the Gastly realized, that the Loudred had just proven itself, why their species usually wasn't one to be found in caves. The soundwaves it had emitted had finally weakened the ceiling enough for the weight on it to be enough to break through. As the first rocks began to fall, the Ghost type could already see his team member sprinting off with the Axew. Although a few bolders landed quite close to him, the spectral Pokémon himself had managed to reach a wall and was now moving through it in the direction he had seen the other two flee in. Hopefully Shiro would be safe. | |

| Kim was a bit put off by the ridiculously loud noise. Another noise caught her attention though. It was the cave! Rocks started falling near her. She started trying to run but she herself couldn't get enough speed to get away. Fortunately Shiro was able to save her at the last second. It hurt getting bitten like that but it was far better than getting smashed by the huge boulder that was in the spot she was standing a few seconds ago. "Ah! Thank you so much!" Kim said thankful to Shiro. She stood up wondering what to do now. She felt so useless. |

| Shiro coughed as dust from the rockfall got into her lungs. After a few moments it began to settle however, and she quickly surveyed the situation. The Absol had landed on her stomach after getting Kim out of the way and hadn't had the time to get her leg out from under the rocks, rendering her trapped.

| As the sounds of falling rocks stopped, so did William. Shuddering, the Ghost type braced himself for the sight he would be faced with as he left the safe confines of the rocky cave wall. Once he could see the surrounding area, the Gastly let out a sigh of relief. Shiro's fur still was as white as it should be without any traces of dreaded red to be found upon it. Oh, and the Axew was there as well. But only then he could see one of the Absol's legs being trapped under a heap of rubble. Times like these made him curse his spherical shape once again. Concernedly he floated down to his partner to ask: "Are you all right?" | |

| Kim looked at Shiro worriedly. "Are you okay!? Here let me help you!" She said trying her best to get the rock off the Absol's leg. After a minute she managed to move it just enough for Shiro to wedge her leg free. "I'm sorry for being a burden." Kim said looking down. This was her fault. |

| "I'm alright.. I think," blinked Shiro, wincing a little as she dragged herself out from under the rock as the Axew moved it to the best of her ability. Standing up on three legs, she attempted to keep most of her weight off of her injured one. "I don't think it's broken or anything.. but I don't think i'll be leaping around for a few days," she commented, glad that the injury hadn't been anything worse.
"I'm sorry for being a burden," the Axew had said. Shiro blinked and looked to Kim. "No, no! It's fine. I'm just glad you're alright," she smiled, attempting to cheer up the Axew, who clearly felt the guilt for what had happened.
Meanwhile, the Loudred appeared to have quietened down and was just staring at the three. "I'm... sorry," it spoke suddenly, Tsukishiro turning her attention to the Big Voice Pokemon.

| Relieved, William turned his attention to the Loudred. While there were a lot of things he wanted to tell the Normal type and even more things he wanted to yell at it, the Poison type somehow managed to restrain himself, muttering only a sarcastic: "Couldn't you've been sorry about ten minutes ago? Would've saved us a whole lott'a trouble, you know?" instead. As Tsukishiro was already focussing on the Axew, William saw no need to say anything in that regard. Sooner or later the Dragon type would regain its composure again, with or without him speaking to it. At least they seemed to have been able to accomplish everything they were trying to do, having fulfilled the requirements for both outlaw missions they came here for. | |
