A blue figure sighed as it approached the shivering cold woods, "Lost...and I came to here of all places. Well at least I know just where I am now..." The jackal-like creature lifted her head to the sky in an agitated moan, for the last time she had come here she had met a semi-feral Sneasel named Crysel and a somewhat friendly Scraggy named Mordred. The jackal-creature was a Riolu, a fighting type pokemon that would have been strong against the Ice types of the forest, IF she had any fighting moves other than counter. Counter only dealt the same amount of damage done to her physically, without a physical attack the move was useless. She kicked the snow with a frustrated huff and looked to the sky, "Am I EVER going to find someone else in this Arceus-Forsaken-Snowy-Hell!?"

Twayblade blinked, taking in the two options and considering the pros and cons of each. She remained silent for a few more moments before she finally made her decision, voicing it out loud;
"Kira if you can use your Blaze kick to make a fire we might be able to stay the night. We'll have to take turns keeping watch though just in case that Lairon decides to make a surprise appearance."

Proteus smiled, happy that he was able to give some useful advice. He didn't notice the pained look on the Riolu's face as she sighed and gathered twigs, smashing her foot into them with a blaze kick. The golden fish kept a slight distance from the fire though, not wanting to become cooked magikarp. He didn't notice the snow around him begin to melt and fell over onto his side once more, he didn't seem to mind it though.

Kira hated this...she wanted to just get out of here! She also didn't like the melting snow that made her behind wet when she sat or laid down, so she dug the snow away from where she was going to sleep until she reached dirt level. She sat down and huffed, "Now what?"

"I'll take first watch," blinked Twayblade. She was used to staying up at night anyway, always cautious due to living where most pokemon were stronger than her, or had attacks that were powerful against her type.
"I guess you two should get some shuteye then. I'll wake Kira for second watch, and then Kira can wake you, Proteus, when it's your turn."
The Treecko then turned and began to climb up a nearby tree, picking a spot where she could easily keep an eye on the makeshift campsite below, as well as the surrounding area.

"Cheh...sure..."Kira huffed she flopped onto her shoulder and curled up, trying to keep her warmth. She knew they probably should have kept together for warmth, but she didn't want to curl up next to a fish. She was woken like said on her watch, which was uneventful and boring in her opinion, and poked Proteus for his watch, "Yo....fishstick it's your turn." She went back to her area without making sure the water pokemon was even awake, which it wasn't.

This dice is not existing.

Twayblade had slept in the tree she had picked out for her watch, wrapping her blue cloak around her to keep herself warm. However, she had woken from her slumber to the sound of footsteps in the snow. Footsteps that were alarmingly close by. Keeping still, Twayblade glanced around, attempting to identify who the footsteps belonged to. It was a Smoochum, heading towards their mini campsite at quite a speed. It looked as if it was running from something...
"Kira. Proteus," Twayblade hissed down fro the branches, attempting to wake the Riolu and the sleeping Magikarp who was supposed to be on watch.

Behind the smoochum two shapes made large leaps with devious grins as their nails scratched the trees that they touched. Two sneasels. Two, deadly sneasels. They stopped when they saw the smoochum reach the camp site though, should they follow? They looked at each other before shrugging and leaping in, maybe this would be more fun.

Kira woke, to see a sneasel leaping right at her with a scratch attack coming. She squealed and avoided the claws just in time. She wasn't too happy, her sleep was interrupted! She was happy someone came along though, something to take her anger out on!

Proteus meanwhile, managed to stay asleep...

The second Sneasel headed straight for the Smoochum. The Smoochum however, was behind Proteus at the time meaning that the Sneasel was more than likely going to hurt the sleeping Magikarp rather than the smoochum it seemed to be chasing. Not letting the Sneasel get away with harming an innocent pokemon, Twayblade leaped out of her tree-perch and tackled the Sharp Claw Pokemon away from the Magikarp. Rolling on the ground so as not to hurt herself, the Treecko quickly got back to her feet, using Pound on the nearby Sneasel.

Kira was assaulted by the other sneasel, meanwhile. Her Blazing Kicks lit up the snowy grounds, each attack missing as the sneasel backpedaled away. She kept the normal kicks followed up by her Blaze Kick relentlessly until she had backed the sneasel against a tree. She slammed her foot into the sneasel's chest, who in turn gave a good scratch attack on Kira's cheek. Kira tried to blaze kick it again, but it dodged and her foot went through the old tree's bark and her leg became stuck. The sneasel smirked and was about to release an onslaught of attacks, but was suddenly slapped with a golden fish...

"Leave...The Lady...Alone!" Proteus ordered as he flailed into the sneasel. The sneasel simply grabbed him and gave him a good toss, heading right towards the other sneasel by accident.

The Sneasel countered Twayblade's Pound with it's own Scratch attack. However, leaping backward before Twayblade could use Pound again, the Sneasel dodge the incoming Magikarp but flashing a quick, annoyed glare towards his companion.
Twayblade blinked as the Magikarp was flung past her, though she didn't have time to react as the Sneasel had taken advantage of her moment of distraction, using Ice Punch and hitting her straight in the stomach.

Proteus landed in the soft snow, he was too low leveled for this kind of stuff, so he thought that maybe he should stay out of this one. Which of course was a dumb idea and helping was the best thing he could so, but he wasn't wise enough to notice that...

Kira yelped in pain when she felt the sneasel scratch her across the nose again, she took a step back and bumped into the smoochum, who gave a yell of fear and unleashed a white blast upon the poor jackal pokemon. Kira found herself unable to move, she was frozen. The sneasel laughed at the smoochum's stupidity and decided to go toy with the fish instead.

With Twayblade temporarily down for the count due to Ice Punch, the Sneasel that had attacked her hopped back over to the Smoochum, using Scratch on the terrified female.
"Now tell us where you hid those berries!" it called out, the Smoochum trying to scramble away.
Twayblade meanwhile pushed herself to her feet. The Sneasel's punch had winded her but other than that and a bit of damage she was doing alright. Giving herself another moment to recover, the Treecko then attacked the Sneasel once more, this time using Absorb and taking energy back from the Sneasel.

"KAAAAAAARP" Proteus squealed as he was stepped on by the other sneasel. The enraged magikarp hopped into the air and began to slap the sneasel with his tail fin. He then landed on its head and flailed, about. The sneasel tried to brush him off but the fish pokemon jumped every time a claw neared it and landed even harsher on its head, "FISH ON MY HEAD!" it screamed.

Kira was still frozen...she felt as if she were asleep, or falling asleep. It was cold, her body temperature was leaving her and none was returning back into her. She felt numb and unable to move, she wished she could just break free, but with no way to pull her arm back and apply force, she was stuck.

The Sneasel, quite enraged by having it's energy stolen, aimed another Scratch attack at Twayblade. The Treecko merely hopped backwards, the Sneasel using Scratch again in quick succession, trying to get in at least a couple hits. However, Twayblade's speed was something quite phenomenal and she dodges with ease, leading the Sneasel towards Kira's frozen form. When she was nearly backing up to the frozen Riolu, she dodged to the side, the Sneasel's scratches instead hitting the ice, shattering it.
Using the moment to her advantage, Twayblade used Pound, hitting the Sneasel with her glowing tail and knocking it to the ground, unconscious.

Kira felt the attacks hit the ice and the ice shatter. She collapsed on her knees, freezing. She glared at the smoochum, who seemed to be Laughing at her misery. A fire burned in her eyes and a vengeful glare made the smoochum think twice about it's actions as she darted towards it and kicked it into a tree with a blaze kick like a soccer ball.

Proteus kept flipping and splashing around until a final flail attack caused the sneasel to collapse. Proteus landed in the snow, except this time upside down. He flailed about in the snow causing it to fly up everywhere as he tried to see what was going on, "Wha-why is everything dark?" he asked.

"Charming..." blinked Twayblade quietly at the laughing Smoochum. She then made her way over to Proteus, where she pulled his face out of the snow.
"Better now?" she asked, tilting her head in curiosity as she did so with a small smile. After the Magikarp's answer she glanced over to Kira, who seemed to have gotten her revenge on the ungrateful Smoochum.
"Well I guess we're breaking camp and moving on then."
