| "Do what?" asked the Treecko, hanging upside-down on the branch she was on. She hung down from her branch and dropped, landing on the ground. Twayblade paused for a moment, checking that her leaf was back in it's pocket of her cloak so that she could use it when she needed to. It was, so she looked back to Kira, waiting for the Riolu's answer with a small head tilt of curiosity. | |

| "Make pokemon fall asleep...it's really odd. Never seen a move like it..." Kira's voice lacked the tone of interest, as if she were forcing herself to converse with the treecko. She enjoyed it though of course, the Riolu didn't want to be known as a outgoing nice goodie-two-shoes type of pokemon to others. So she acted this way, plus she didn't know if this pokemon was an explorer, seeing as she had a grudge against rescue teams for failing to rescue her in time and nearly getting her killed. | |

| "Oh.. you mean GrassWhistle?" blinked the Treecko, "My father taught me how to use it, I inherited it from him. It's not as powerful as it could be but i'm working on it," smiled Twayblade. The Treecko turned to wander along the icy forest pathway, "I guess we should get moving anyhow. There's no telling when more ice pokemon might attack and I can't put the whole forest to sleep." | |

| The riolu walked a few steps behind the treecko, trusting him. She really hoped that the treecko wasn't setting this all up to rob her or perhaps kidnap her once more. She was delighted to see that her legs didn't sink into the snow as much on the pathway as it had off of the path way, did some kind of pokemon tend to the pathway? She thought about it before voicing her question to Twayblade. She couldn't remember if she had introduced herself as well...she decided she would just wait to see if the treecko would ask of it if she hadn't. | |

| "Pokemon don't really tend to the pathway.. it's just the route most travellers take and so the snow on the path tends to be more compact because more pokemon have stepped on it," replied Twayblade. In living here, she often watched someone pass through on a trip to Mt. Frostmeer. Mostly they were explorers taking on jobs here and there, but sometimes a salesperson would wander through, hoping to sell his or her wares to the ice types that lived here. Twayblade usually steered clear of these traders because most were fire type so that they wouldn't mind the colder conditions. The Treecko continued to lead Kira through the forest that she was so familiar with. However the Treecko froze when she heard footsteps echoing through the trees. - This dice is not existing.

| The steps were heavy, each step was similar to a stomp of an angered charizard. The clank of metal sounded as the steps grew louder. The bushes shook and a two and a half foot tall creature glared at the geko and the bipedal jackal as its foot steps silenced. It glared at them for a moment before leaning back and then suddenly thrusting its head forward in a large and loud roar. It didn't like the two being on its territory, its roar lasted for a moment before it decided to stop yapping and start taking action. It leaped forward and began to charge, the metal on the Larion's body clinking and clanking as each bound brought him closer to the frightened duo.
Kira stared at the enraged larion in terror, this thing wasn't happy to see other pokemon from the looks of it. She gave a yelp that was supposed to be a shout to flee before she attempted to flee. She had found herself be tackled by the larion though, for it was faster than she thought, and found herself be flung into the air as the pokemon tossed its head up as it struck the riolu. Kira screamed as she had a few moments of flight before seeing the ground rush towards her at a frightening speed. She flailed her paws about, hoping by some stroke of luck she could grab onto a branch of one of the trees. She managed to grab onto a shaky branch that drooped low enough for her to be just out of the larion's reach. (Wow...sudden burst of wanting to write.....)

| Twayblade froze up in fear all of a sudden. Yea there were ice types in this forest that she should be more scared of, but she had gotten used to that years ago and had ways to deal with them. The thick, steely hide of a Lairon was a lot more terrifying, especially considering they preferred the mountain for making their territories. This one must have been driven form the mountain by other Lairon and made it's territory here instead... making it very vicious and angry because it wanted to protect what little dignity, and territory, it had left.
Hearing Kira's yelp, Twayblade finally unfroze and turned tail, clambering up the nearest tree. It happened to be the one that Kira had landed in, and she quickly helped pull the Riolu deeper into it's branches as the Lairon headbutted the tree's trunk. "I hope you can climb trees,"Twayblade chuckled nervously before she hopped up onto a higher branch, waiting to help the Riolu climb too.

| The riolu was thankful for the help she had received in getting back up the tree, "I may be a fighting type, but that doesn't mean I can climb trees like a pro..." she replied. She accepted the treecko's help in climbing the tree, trying to ignore the roaring Larion as it rampaged around the tree below. It dashed away from the tree for a small distance before turning around, thrusting its head up in another bellow and kicking dirt back with its front leg before charging forward and colliding with the tree full force. The tree shook, Kira fought to keep her balance but failed and began to fall again. She caught another branch just two feet below the branch she had been on. The larion saw the progress it had made, and decided to try again and again until the little jackal fell out of the tree and onto the ground. | |

| Twayblade hopped into the next tree when the Lairon began to bash against the one they were in. She couldn't do anything to help as Kira fell from the tree, down onto the snowy ground. "Run for it!" she called down, not knowing what else to do or say. Ideally Kira would climb into another tree and hop along the branches like Twayblade herself did, but being a not as skilled climber meant it would probably only hinder her movement. Thus Twayblade decided to distract the Lairon to give Kira a chance to run. She leaped out of the tree and used Pound on the Lairon's back, doing minimal damage but attracting it's attention. She was fed up of just running whenever something like this happened. Icicle Woods was her home and she had every right to feel safe in it. Quickly hopping back into a nearby tree so that the Lairon could not attack her with physical moves, Twayblade glanced over to see where Kira had gotten to. | |

| Kira was stunned for a few dire seconds as the Lairon turned to to roar at her before charging her. She was bought those seconds back as the gecko attacked that monster pokemon's back. Kira struggled back up and forced herself to flee as fast as she could. Her legs kicking her to a new place not too far, her body was sore from the impact of the fall so her speed was hindered. She decided to dive into a bush just seconds before the Lairon burst into the same area as her. She kept herself from shivering and her teeth from clattering as she heard the pokemon's heavy footsteps wander about, tracking her paw steps that had suddenly disappeared. She kept herself from whining in fear as it grew closer to the bush she hid in. | |

| Getting rather angry at the Lairon that was chasing them, the small Treecko followed it through the woods, grabbing some Iron Thorns she had found along the way. Reaching a tree above the Lairon, Twayblade took out the thorns she had found and aimed them from the icy branch she was stood on. Upon throwing it, it hit between the Lairon's steel plated armour, hitting it's skin and causing it to growl up at the trees. It spotted the green form of the Treecko taunting him from up above and used Metal Sound, the screeching noise hurting Twayblade's ears and causing her second thorn to miss. | |

| Kira used the second distraction caused by the treecko to flee once more, except this time up a tree through sheer instinct. Her impulsive idea was to climb the tree and just cling to a branch until the lairon gave up and went away, or became tired from trying to get her down and beat it from there. She scurried her way up the tree and climbed to a rather thick looking branch and hugged it with both her arms and her legs. Only then did she realize how stupid the idea must have been. | |

| Twayblade threw the last of the thorns she had found, hitting the Lairon again before she hopped through the trees, finding the tree that Kira had clambered into. "Our best bet now is to avoid him in the trees. I'll help you climb but we gotta be quick if you don't want him to use headbutt again," frowned Twayblade, clambering into the neighboring tree and holding out a paw to help the Riolu follow. The Lairon meanwhile had followed the duo with it's lumbering movements and was preparing to headbutt the tree that Kira was still in. | |

| Kira nodded and grabbed the Treecko's paw. She hated being in such a situation, in danger. She was lucky she had help though. She realized that she always seemed to be in danger, the danzel in distress. First being rescued by a team from drowning, then Black mist where she had been kidnapped and not saved, and now here, stuck in a tree with an angry Larion at the bottom. She wondered if they would be able to out run it, it seemed to have energy left and wasn't effected by the freezing air like she way. Her tail was practically freezing off for Arceus sake! | |

| Twayblade was nimble, climbing expertly through the trees like a squirrel. She would pull the Riolu up onto branches she could not reach, or catch her if she fell off to avoid having to outright battle the Lairon again. However, the steel type quickly caught on and whilst Twayblade and Kira were climbing, lay in ambush by a tree trunk further on. It used Headbutt again, knocking an unexpected Twayblade off the branch as she attempted to help Kira up onto it. As she fell, she angled herself so that she could use Pound on the Lairon again, her tail glowing with white as she used the move. However, after the move collided, Twayblade's tail began to glow with a green colour instead of white. Rememberig something her mother had told her, Twayblade used the green light to her advantage, sending tendrils of green the Lairon's way. As they surrounded it's steely body, the tendrils began to sap health from the Lairon, confirming the green light to be a newly learned Absorb move. | |
