A Relaxing Afternoon by the Pond?

Tsukishiro quietly padded through Grassveil's town square. She had just gotten back from a day of exploring and was hoping to take a nice relaxing walk by the pond. She looked tired, but in fact she was anything but. She felt like she could do a second exploration right there and then without worrying, but she knew she needed to take things slowly. After all she was new to this exploring thing and didn't want to overtax her body.

This was why she was heading down towards the pond. Shiro hoped that the calmer atmosphere might help her relax a little. It was late in the afternoon, but the sun was still fairly high in the sky, giving the Absol hours of daylight to work with before she had to be back in her sleeping quarters to rest up for tomorrow.

A few minutes later she padded through the thin group of trees that surrounded the pond. She headed straight towards the water, taking a small drink from it before shaking her fur and glancing around to see what other Pokemon were nearby.

With deft agility, the Absol ducked and rolled away from the Snivy, though not before some of the leaves made contact with her. Their small number however, made it seem like nearly nothing.
As the Snivy tackled the ground where she had been mere moments ago, Tsukishiro leaped back up onto her feet, her claws once again glowing pale white as she dived in for another Scratch attack.

All Ace could figure out at the moment was that he was about to get attacked, and that this battle was not turning in his favor.
As Shiro dived with another attack, Ace rolled out of the way, unfortunately for him while he got out of the way, his cape got scratched up by it, and it yanked at the Snivy's neck, making it hard to move from his current position. Trying to solve this problem, another vine was fired in the Absol's direction, aiming for the paw currently trying to scratch the Snivy.

Shiro quickly retaliated to the vine coming towards her by slicing it with her glowing claws. The distraction however, gave Ace enough time to free his cape and move away again.

She paused, lowering her general body as if she was about to growl at an opponent larger than her. However she merely grinned.
"You're quite resourceful when provoked."

Ace picked himself back onto his feet, looking over the cape. There was a slight hole near the bottom, he'd have to get someone to fix that when he had the chance.

He looked back at Shiro and smirked, "If you want to be the hero, you have to be resourceful. I'm pretty sure that's a rule." While the whole episode did cause some damage, this was probably the most fun the Snivy had had in a while.

"So you're the 'hero' now are you?" she chuckled. "I guess I'll just have to play the villain."

With that comment, she bounded towards the Snivy once again, her claws beginning to glow that same pale white colour again. She leaped at him, swiping her paws at his green body.

"Well, you know how the story goes?" he carefully slid underneath the leaping Absol, facing Shiro's back.
"The hero wins in the end." he said as he shot two vines at the back of the Absol.

Tsukishiro watched as the Snivy slid underneath her. As she did so, her tail began to glow white. She gently landed and, using Feint, sliced the vines with her tail.

"Doesn't mean they win right away," she grinned mischievously as she awaited the Snivy's next move. Having lived in the mountains for most of her life, she was adept to tackling tricky opponents. Some of the other Absol in her clan also fought this way, usually the younger ones. However she was confident that she wouldn't have to go easy on this Snivy. He probably had more up his sleeve.

"I'm impressed, you've got a defense for my...relatively small repertoire of moves." Ace began, "So how about we improvise a little?"
While keeping his eyes on the Absol, Ace shot a vine towards a tree standing by the pond, and ripped a branch off of it. The vine then lowered back to the Snivy, where he picked up the stick and tossed it up and down. While it wasn't much, it would do as a makeshift weapon.

"We'll have to battle again when you have a bigger one then," she smiled, watching as his Vine Whip picked up the branch.

"Ah. Is it a sword fight you want? I promise I'll go easy."
Shiro lowered her head, intending to use her horn almost like her own sword. It didn't glow. She was content to use it on it's own, to give Ace a fighting chance. Tsukishiro was very confident in her abilities however, after spending many days practicing with her former clanmates.

"Oh trust me, I realize how unconventional this would be in a real battle." he pointed the stick in the Absol's direction, "But this isn't a real battle now. Besides, it just looks cool." He then slowly started to walk closer to Shiro, waiting for the right chance to strike. Ace knew the poor stick wouldn't last too long, but it seemed like it would be fun to try something different for once.

Tsukishiro giggled. She seemed to have almost endless amounts of energy as even after prancing around dodging those moves and swimming earlier, she still didn't feel tired.
She followed Ace as he moved closer, using only her eyes to do so. She waited for him to make the first move. He had the designated 'hero' role, and they had a crowd watching. She knew that somehow she would have to bring this sword fight to a spectacular end.

Seeing as this was going nowhere, the Snivy decided he had to start this somehow. He leaped into the air towards Shiro, the branch ready to strike anything in it's path. While he doubted the fact that it would actually make contact, it was one way to start things off.

Tsukishiro also leaped, near mirroring the Snivy's movements. She blocked the strike of the branch with her sickle shaped horn before she made a swipe of her own. She continued to strike, block and parry as well as slipping in the occasional attack, hoping to put on an interesting sword fight for the crowd before them.

Ace jumped backwards away from Shiro's attack, and immediately jumped back into the battle. Being able to block the Absol's sickle, but not finding time to strike himself. As he kept blocking and countering each attack, he eventually moved the stick away from Shiro's horn, and took a swing with the makeshift weapon at her legs.

Shiro hopped backwards a few steps, raising her paw after the hit to inspect the damage.
"And I thought the bad guy was supposed to play dirty," she chuckled, putting her paw back on the ground.

The Absol then padded forwards a few steps before she prepared to re-engage Ace in the sword fight.
