An evening at the pond Empty
PostSubject: An evening at the pond   An evening at the pond EmptySat Oct 03, 2015 10:43 pm

It was getting pretty late. The sun had just sunk below the horizon and stars started to appear in the sky. It was very peaceful at the pond. Leaves were rustling in the wind and the wind created ripples on the water.

A young Fennekin had just arrived at the pond. She was carrying a small bag with a bit of food. She decided to rest there. At first glance nobody else seemed to be around. Cana was relieved. It’s not like she hated busy places but she was much rather alone. Although she did feel lonely.

Cana put down the bag and looked at her reflection. Her fur seemed to have become pretty dull. How long has it been since she left home? It probably has been a few weeks now. She didn’t regret it though, even if she has to miss her siblings now. Cana sighed.

“I don’t want to be alone anymore…” Her voice echoed across the water. It was resounding with sadness.

That was what she really wanted, but she always had a hard time socializing with others. Cana is normally too scared to start a conversation with strangers and often tends to ignore them. She has tried a few times but she backed out of it each time. It doesn’t help that she has trouble trusting others either.

Cana just looked down at her own reflection, filled with self pity and lost on thoughts.

An evening at the pond Empty
PostSubject: Re: An evening at the pond   An evening at the pond EmptySun Oct 04, 2015 11:13 pm

Deimos had quite recently been within the area of the town of Grassveil, having been originally present to find a way to write down a report to explain a certain situation to a friend that he had assured he would answer. His encounter with the one he had feared loss had quickly come to help bring him out of his corrupted, painful mental state for certain, however he did his best to not let it show... He didn't want to invoke questions after all. After having acquired what he needed from the town and bid a certain 'friend' adieu, he had left towards the small body of water on the town's outskirts.

The Absol understood that it was getting late and that be required some means of rest. His short period of attempting to do so back within the Fallen Leaf Copse had been interrupted after all, before he could get any meaningful use from it. As of such, he figured he'd make use of the closest area that fit the generally quiet description, the Small Pond.

Walking through the general tree line with his eyes themselves closed, Deimos took in the slight breeze and nodded his head as if in an approving manner. The air seemed calm, as did the earth... It called for a calm, quiet time of rest. Walking out of the tree line now and towards the primary body of water with his eyes still closed, he stared down into the small abyss of blue.

"It's been too long..." Deimos commented under his breath, before laying down by the waters edge, intending to make use of the quiet environment to the fullest while he had the chance.

Cana jumped up when she heard a voice. She looked up to notice an absol walk up to the lake and lay down there. She was wondering who he was. He didn't seem to have noticed her.

Wh-What should I do? should try to I talk to him? Should I ignore him? What if he is dangerous? What if he would try to hurt me? Maybe it is just better to just try to leave now that he doesn't know I'm here.

Her thoughts were racing in her head. The Absol didn't look particularly dangerous but she never could be too careful. Cana kept looking at him and took a step back, stepping on a twig by accident and breaking it.

Deimos merely lay still, his almond shaped eyes closed as he rested. Despite physically being resting, his mind was still quite active... He had much to think about after all, he had encountered several curious events as of late. Obviously the most recent one that was on his mind happened to be his reunion with Ramira the shiny Zorua. After his nightmarish 'premonitions' he was glad to see that they hadn't come true, he couldn't deny that.

The strange 'Organization' that he had decided to attempt to join was just another fragment of where his thoughts were headed. Despite having learned about it from a generally underwhelming species, it was his best bet for accomplishing what he had originally wished for and he couldn't deny that. He understood that he still needed to finish his report after all.

There also was that curious event with the murderous carnivore Mudkip, an event that disgusted him down to his very core. Not only did the brutal display of such an event disturb him, but also understanding that, regardless of distance, that he'd still be able to sense it fly... It was horrid to sense and think about, he couldn't deny that.

Hearing the snapping of a branch, Deimos sighed quietly and glanced towards the source, his deep red eyes staring at the large eared Fennekin, seeming to lack clarity in their intent. He had merely wished to be alone to rest, and though it didn't seem that it was to come to pass, only one individual was better than a noisy crowd for certain.

Cana her heart was racing in her chest when she heard the branch break. She looked at the absol and noticed he was now looking at her.

Oh no, he noticed me. What do I do now? He is staring at me. Would he be angry I disturbed him? J-Just stay calm, Cana. No need to panic. He probably isn’t so bad. Just...Just try to talk to him.

She already was nervous and it didn’t help that he was staring at her. She really wanted to hide somewhere so he couldn't stare at her anymore. It took her a lot of willpower to keep standing there. She had to do something. She didn’t know what though. Ignoring him didn't seem like an option and she didn't know what to say. Eventually she couldn't stand his gaze anymore and looked at the pond. She was standing there for a while before finally deciding on something to say.

“I-I'm sorry...D-Did I disturb you?" Her voice was pretty quiet. Cana was actually hoping a bit the absol wouldn't hear it. She nervously drew small circles with her paw and awaited his reaction.

The Absol kept his calm, yet piercing gaze upon the Fennekin, still seeming to lack information based around his intent. He took a moment to rise from his position, calming them momentarily so that he could focus upon his sensory capacity, intending to scan the air and ground within the area as a precaution in case of more beings attending the area beyond his sight.

He was unable to sense any more particular beings of interest, so instead he shook his head and lay back down. Before re opening them however, he sensed the slight ripple within the air emanating from the area around the Pokémon before it had spoke, which had clued him in as to pay attention.

Re opening his eyes and looking back at her, he shrugged slightly. "It's fine" The Absol commented, his tone a simple calm and collected... He didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble after all.

Cana almost jumped back when the absol stood up, scared he would attack her but luckily for her, he didn't. She wasn't sure why he did that though. Probably because he wanted to check if anyone else was around. Or maybe he just wasn't laying good.

Cana sniffed the air a bit. She could pick up a faint scent of pokemon who had come to the pond before. Cana couldn't smell the absol since the wind came from behind her. At least she could smell if someone would try to approach her from behind.

Cana looked back at the absol. She was still a bit nervous and wasn't sure if she could trust him yet but at least he didn't seem dangerous. She wasn't really sure what she would say to him though.

Deimos merely continued to lay there, staring at the Fennekin for a few moments more before turning his head towards the other direction, away from her. No need to focus on such a thing when his purpose was to rest... If it didn't cause trouble for him, he wasn't overly concerned. Deimos, however, was unable to drift off like he had hoped... Despite his prior meeting with his 'Friend' Ramira, the event that he had saw in his nightmares kept playing back within his mind. For all he knew, it may have not happened yet... He had to be careful of that... He couldn't lose yet another.

The Absol took a moment to let off a faint sigh, intending to allow the situation to resolve itself for now... He merely hoped that nightmare he had was just that.

Cana felt a bit uncomfortable. She sat down and tried to arrange her fur a bit while thinking how to interact with the absol. She had not much to talk about and wasn't sure how to introduce herself. She was also starting to get pretty hungry. Cana sighed and emptied her bag. Out of it rolled 3 pieces of fruit, a pear, an orange and an apple. Cana glanced at the absol again. He seemed to be ignoring her now. Would he be hungry? Maybe she should share with him. Cana hesitated and picked up the apple and moved to the absol. Her heart was racing in her chest. She carefully put down the apple next to the absol before rushing back to her bag, where she sat down without looking at the absol.

(I don't really have any items, the apple is just food here)

Deimos found himself shuffling over slightly away as he sensed a trail of imprints on the ground extend towards him, clearly matching that of the Fennekin that had apologized towards him not long ago. Despite her seeming lack of violent intent, Deimos didn't want to take risky chances... He still didn't know the individual after all. He took a wary glance to the Pokémon, quickly noting the apple that it placed down before retreating away.

His mind interpreted it as a gesture of friendliness, however he didn't immediately react, instead taking a moment to think. It could have just been that, a gesture to avoid conflict... and yet... There could always be a darker meaning. With a simple shrug, he triggered numerous small, blunt segments of earth to come up from the ground, pushing the apple to his side, away from the Fennekin.

Cana was scared of what the Absol would think of her. What if he didn't accept the apple? What if he wasn't hungry? She glanced at him, noticing the apple is now against his side. He isn't eating it...Did I do something wrong? I guess he doesn't want my apple... Cana felt a bit sad about it. She was hoping this would at least have led to something. Even if it only was a small conversation.

The young Fenniken turned away from the pokemon as her stomach was growling. She was pretty hungry after all and she was kinda tired of eating sticks. The Fenniken looked at the fruit she had left. No longer paying attention to the Absol, she started eating.

From his laying position, Deimos remained perpetually still visibly, however he kept his mind clear and sharp, ready to interpret anything that could have brought him to harm. Maybe he was just being paranoid but... Deep down he still barely trusted the Fennekin, instead preferring to remain cautious and generally safe.

The breeze was a typical calm, no distress within the flow of the air. The only distortions he could sense was that of their own breathing, and even then the distortions were slight, nothing to be concerned of. The ground likewise felt calm, only the footsteps of those amongst the town being detectable within his mind.

Cana was done eating pretty fast. She felt full and a bit content. She glanced at the Absol. It didn't seem like he wanted to be friends. She felt a bit sad about that. It was starting to cool down a bit too. Cana felt a little itchy at her nose but of course she couldn't scratch it. It made her sneeze.

While she sneezed small flames came out of her nose. She hated when that happened. It felt weird. She shook her head a bit and looked up at the sky. "The stars are really pretty...."

Cana didn't really notice she said that out loud. She really loved looking at the stars in the sky. She wasn't really paying much attention to the Absol now.

Deimos turned on his side slightly, facing away from the Fennekin. He felt the gentle breeze cool slightly, something he honestly couldn't complain about. He had been to a few different locations on his travels by now, but he always felt a preference to the cool breeze and cold winds. He grew up under such conditions, the cool and cold winds of high within the mountains.

It felt soothing to him, feeling the cold air blow, the soft breeze against his snow white fur. His focus was drawn however to the Fennekin when he felt a sudden change in the temperature around her. Moving back to his normal posture, glanced over.

Realizing it was just a sneeze, Deimos shrugged and left it be. Her next comment however, he nodded slightly. "They always are... Even more so when one is closer to them" The Absol commented. He understood that psaipd might have been taken out if context and found stupid. What he meant was... When you have stared at the sky from the height of a tall mountain, on the cliffs edge... Away from everything, it feels soothing for the soul and mind.

It sure was a nice evening. Even though it was cooling down, the Fire type didn't seem to mind. Since Cana never grew up near any volcano's, deserts or any place with a warm climate, she did manage to enjoy the cool breeze more then a hot summer day. I wonder if other pokemon think I am weird because of this? Cana didn't really care though. At least, she tried not to care.

Cana glanced at the Absol when he said that. She wasn't really sure what he meant but he did agree that the stars are pretty.

"Even more when one is closer to them? Do you mean like watching it from a high place like a mountain or a tower or something?"
