"Aah, this is the life." Corus muttered as he lied sprawled on his stomach. His temporary mentor had left him here, explaining that the older Pokémon had to meet up with an old acquaintance. An acquaintance that was hard to deal with even with Pokémon he knew for a long time. Jack didn't want to take the risk that Corus' presence would make things even harder. Corus hadn't minded all that much. In fact, now that he lay here he had to say he preferred this. He could just lounge around lazily and enjoy the warmth of the Sun's rays.
A yelp filled the air and the Steel type rose his head slowly to see the source of the sound. A smile grew as he saw two blue, tailed, roundish Pokémon splash water at one another. He briefly wondered what kind of Pokémon had a tail that was bigger than them, but quickly dismissed it. There was probably a good reason for that and he could just ask Teach Jack when the man had finished his business.
For now, he just lowered his head back on the ground and decided to enjoy the weather. A small sound came from his stomach and Corus had no problem stifling it. He reached for the bag that lay next to him and pulled out a small piece of metal. He opened his mouth and chomped happily on the metal. Today was truly a wonderful day. He slightly wished Jack would take the whole day to settle his business before they left for Grassveil Town. It would be such a waste to spend the rest of the day trotting over the road.
