A Relaxing Afternoon by the Pond?

Tsukishiro quietly padded through Grassveil's town square. She had just gotten back from a day of exploring and was hoping to take a nice relaxing walk by the pond. She looked tired, but in fact she was anything but. She felt like she could do a second exploration right there and then without worrying, but she knew she needed to take things slowly. After all she was new to this exploring thing and didn't want to overtax her body.

This was why she was heading down towards the pond. Shiro hoped that the calmer atmosphere might help her relax a little. It was late in the afternoon, but the sun was still fairly high in the sky, giving the Absol hours of daylight to work with before she had to be back in her sleeping quarters to rest up for tomorrow.

A few minutes later she padded through the thin group of trees that surrounded the pond. She headed straight towards the water, taking a small drink from it before shaking her fur and glancing around to see what other Pokemon were nearby.

Ace started to back up, confusion written over his face.
"Is she just drying off to jump into the water again?" he thought to himself, "Either way, I'm not taking any chances with it." he backed up a little more, wondering if Shiro would do what he thinks she'll do.

After shaking the last few morsels of liquid free of her fur, she looked rather like a big ball of white fur. However she grinned mischievously and bounded towards the Snivy, her claws glowing as she prepared a Scratch attack.
"I challenge you to a battle!" she shouted, not giving him tiMe to think as she charged toward him.

"Wait, what?"
Ace immediately started to jump away from the incoming Absol, but due to how sudden the attack was, he ended up tripping in the process. He picked himself back onto his feet and tried to recompose himself, by making an action pose of some kind.
The Snivy smiled, "Now, this has suddenly got a lot more interesting. I'll accept your challenge!" he stated, seeing if Shiro was to make another move before he attacked.

The Absol quickly landed on her front paws and then used her back ones to propel her back in the direction of the Snivy, her normally black claws still glowing white with the effects of the Scratch move.

"Let's spice things up around here," she grinned, her red eyes shining with a fiery passion for excitement.

Ace looked around the pond, there were few leaves around the area.
"I guess I have to do this the hard way..." he muttered as a group of multicolored leaves slowly started to form in front of him, and started floating in the air.

Tsukishiro closed in on the Snivy, her sharp turn having given her a quick recovery and a surprise attack opportunity.

Ace started to back away from Shiro for a moment not wanting to get caught up in a trap, before raising a hand in her direction.
"Fire!" he exclaimed, as all the floating leaves started to fly in the Absol's direction.

Tsukishiro blinked as the leaves came speeding towards her. She skidded to a halt, the leading leaf scratching the side of her face as she attempted to dodge it.

A flurry of leaves were flung towards the opponent, equally spaced but perfect for long ranged attack. The opponent quickly blew them away with a gust of wind from it's wings.

Not leaving time to register the sight, the Absol used Quick Attack, ducking underneath what remained of the flurry of Magical leaves. Why did this always happen at the most inconvenient of times? The Absol slid past the leaves, diving through the minority of them like a practiced acrobat, despite her larger frame. She then bounded towards the Snivy, a white trail following her path marking the use of Quick Attack.

Ace watched as the Absol slid under the leaves, a look of surprise on his face. That look only got more surprised as Shiro suddenly was getting really close to Ace. As a way to stop the incoming attack, a vine shot out of Ace's back and tried to hit the Absol with it, to at least slow her down.

Tsukishiro wasn't able to dodge the sudden vine in time but the single whip-like attack didn't do much to her larger frame. She tackled the Snivy using the swiftness that Quick Attack gave her, attempting to knock Ace off of his feet or at least make him dodge so that she could drag out the fight rather than finishing it right away. She wanted a good, skilled opponent to practice with. That way she would gain more experience for future battles.

Ace dived out of the way of the attack, landing on the grass in the process. Not wanting to give Shiro an advantage, he jumped back on his feet, and immediately shot out two vines to attack the Absol. While the vines were heading in Shiro's direction, the Snivy looked around the area real quickly, he could see that the two had gathered a small crowd. Which gave Ace all the more reason to win the friendly duel.

The Absol bounded backwards a few steps, the sickle shaped appendage on the one side of her head glowing white as she used Feint. The sickle sliced through the incoming vines as they drew near, leaving Ace open for Tsukishiro to attempt to get in close once more.

Ace stood back, quickly taking his attention off of the crowd. This was not supposed to happen, and he was running out of options.
While he knew it wouldn't be much, it would be a distraction. Ace once again started to summon leaves in front of him, only this time there seemed to be less than before, as the Snivy seemed to not be focusing on it as much.

Tsukishiro ignored the leaves. They weren't yet heading for her so they weren't her problem. Instead she used a Quick Attack-Feint combination, using the speed from the Quick Attack to get behind the Snivy, and the Feint to swiftly slice at Ace with her sickle shaped horn. Ace's next actions would decide whether or not this move hit it's target.

Out of what seemed like nowhere, the Absol was right behind Ace ready to strike. Without time to think, Ace shot the few leaves in front of him towards Shiro, and not even checking whether or not they made contact, he jumped in the air, trying to tackle Shiro to the ground.
