First topic message reminder :

Milt could feel the next chapter in his life beginning. Never had he ever felt such a strong sense of purpose. This had to be what he was meant to do, his destiny. Only had it all planned out: from here he would traverse the rest of the Black Spear Mountain Range, cross the Cattail Marsh, and arrive in Rainfront Town. From there, it would only take him a few days to reach Grassveil Town, where he could finally form an exploration team. Milt smiled as the wind blew at his back, as if it was urging him forward. "Look out everyone...!" he cried, throwing a foreleg into the air. "Milt the Aron is gonna change the world!" he cried before descending the mountain.

Milt had been around this part of the mountain range, but the further out he went, the more unfamiliar things became. This did not dissuade him however. He enjoyed the unfamiliar; the thought of finding something new excited him. Milt hopped from rock to rock, although thanks to his weight and small legs, he didn't go far, but it was enough. He could see the natural path off in the distance but where was the fun in that? However, excitement could only get you so far, and the constant climbing and jumping made him quite tired.

Energy: 1/19 (+1 new page)

Milt was just about ready to Head Smash a hole through the pile when Lapis finally managed to crawl out. "Lapis!" he called in relief, hurrying over to her as best as he could. He would have helped her out, but he couldn't really grab slime. All he could do was follow her down, sitting next to her.

That was too close. Way to close for Milt's liking. "I-I'm sorry," he apologized all of a sudden. "I hardly did anything... and when you were in danger, there was nothing I could do. I... Maybe I need to rethink forming an exploration team," he said with his head down.

Lapis: {13 + 1 (page) = 14}

Lapis listened to Milt's apology, and his self-doubt, and looked up to the disappointed Aron with her eyes gleaming.
"Are you kidding? Up until the point where you fainted, you were the most determined battler I have ever witnessed! Even after you fainted, you were so inspirational, you helped me discover a newfound potential. You believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself—and look what has become of it! You helped me fight my greatest fears and take down the biggest threat I have ever witnessed, and whether you think it or not, you were a great help." She spoke her heart, eyes still shimmering, but for a different reason now. Tears were forming at what she said and meant.
"You protected me, so in turn, I had to protect you," she sniffled, trying to hide her dripping excretions. "Here," she said, turning her head away and giving Milt his band back. "I think it would be interesting for you to know that it actually had no effect on me, and it was your words that led us to victory," she twitched her wings shyly as she blushed.

"Well, that certainly was something! ... Eugh!" the Archen exclaimed, catching Lapis by surprise as it slapped her on the back, only for its wing to be covered in viscous slime, shaking it viciously in the air. Yeah... Lapis pondered. It sure was...

Milt tried to interject with a "but," every now and then, but he quickly stopped trying and just heard what she had to say. As hard as he was being on himself, Lapis was right. He had given his all and did everything he could to protect her and the Archen, and that was something to be proud of. And when Lapis had to step in, he had been so focused on fighting for others that he never realized that sometimes, others would have to fight for him.

He accepted his Power Band back wordlessly. Lapis must have been serious about this if she was shedding tears over it. "H-Hey. You don't have to cry," he told her, patting her on the back and ignoring the slime that got on his foot. "Thank you though. I'm just glad that you... we're ok."

Lapis: {14}

Lapis cringed a little as Milt touched her back, saying she didn't have to cry. She sniveled, shying away her tears and turned back to look at him. "Sorry... It's just a very emotional topic for me..." she explained briefly, ceasing her crying just a bit before. The truth was, she had so much doubt in her self and in her abilities that she never even tried to attempt what she looked up to. She was submissive, but she learned today that she was fully capable of leading herself. For ages she truly felt as though she was incapable of even using attacks, and today she used each one of them. Perhaps these explorations were much better for her than she initially thought.

Now, with a powerful Pokemon of the mountain taken down, it seemed the two could travel with freedom towards Milt's goal. They were now in direct path to the town after they had gotten to the other side of the mountain. Of course, after passing through Cattail Marsh, but that would be the least of their concerns after such a wrecking journey today.
"So, I'm sure we know where to head now. It's only just straight ahead," she pointed out to Milt, a little longing bringing a sinking feeling.

The Archen got what it needed, too, so that was its farewell. It strut off, shouting and waving: "Bye! Thanks for all the help!" Lapis was secretly a little glad that loud bold Pokemon was out of her skin. But what about the Aron she had befriended? Was it his time to depart, too?

Milt had looked at a map enough times to know the route to Grassveil: from here he would head to Cattail Marsh, taking him to Rainfront Town, the final stop before his destination. "Mh. I still have a ways to go, but it seems so close," he told her. Just thinking that made his heart beat a little bit faster.

Milt watched the Archen strut away. If he thought about it, saving that Archen was like his very first mission. Although it didn't go over smoothly, all that mattered was that they succeeded. "So..." he began, turning back to Lapis. "To Cattail Marsh?" he asked with a bit of an excited smile.

Lapis' antennae remained drawn behind her head shyly until the enthusiastic words of Milt's caused them to perk up with hope.
"Me? Go with you?"
It seemed a little shocking at first, but she supposed that such a way of winning a battle would be rather impressive. Even still, this meant a lot to Lapis that he still wanted her company, so after a moment of hesitation, she finally responded: "I'll go!"
