Rain fell as the young woman and her adopted sister drove through the country side of Washington State. Tapping her hand on the steering wheel of her Ferrari as she listened to the radio playing one of her favorite songs. She looked over to her sister to make sure she was ok for a second before taking her eyes back to the road. Just as the song was getting good the radio turned into static. "Crap." Tori muttered messing with the radio trying to get it working again.

"I'll say I'm a child prodigy who has a track record for noticing things that most others don't which would be the reason why you're shipping a kid off to a crime scene," she grinned, liking the idea of this 'character'. For that was what it was. Zinnia would have to be in character and live up to the child prodigy label.

When they reached the crime scene, Zinnia stepped out of the car and looked innocent in her dress. She had to admit, most of the time these officer people could be complete and utter morons, especially when it came to believing wild stories such as the one she had cooked up right now.

Zinnia waited for Tori to lead the way over to the house, looking as though she was almost cowering behind her. She felt that a shy personality might give her reason not to say much to the officers.

Tori got out of the car and walked towards the tape line.(It says Crime Scene Investigation) she pulled it up and ducked under it. An Officer tried to stop her when she pulled out her Badge, "I'm Special Agent Hudson, and this is Elizabeth Saunders who will be consulting on this case." she said with authority in her voice.

Zinnia gave a small wave to the police officer as she was introduced. She had a consultant badge (Obviously forged, though so well that the officers wouldn't know the difference) pinned to her scarf.
The officer blinked before he laughed heartily.
"Hah! I'm not letting some kid run around my crime scene! How do I even know you're legit?"
Zinnia looked up at Tori before looking back at the officer as if she had had to do this many times before.

"You don't live near here, but you drive a car to work rather than using a bus or other form of public transport. You prefer not to do work and tend to put it off, sometimes handing it to the lower ranked officers." she said suddenly. Her voice was rather small and not as confident as it would normally be.

Tori smirked, "See? She's good at what she does." she said to the officer. The offiecer was speechless but cleared his throat, "Um f-follow me. Still trying to figure out what may have happened." he said walking through the door. Tori noticed that there was a car that didn't belong to any of the officers. Is there another hunter here? she thought as she walked into the house.

Zinnia followed Tori and the officer into the house. The officer lead them through, down a short hallway to a living room. The room was normal other than a few objects that were strewn across the floor. There was no blood... just a smashed vase whose pale blue remains were scattered across the coffee table and the cream coloured rug.
Zinnia looked at Tori. To the police this would look like a normal struggle, but to them it continued to open the possibility of ghostly activity.

Tori felt Zinnie looking at her and she looked back at the child. She nodded to the stairs signaling her to look up stairs. She knelt to the broken vase and around the room once more. "What do you think? A robbery gone wrong?" she asked the officer. This did looke like a struggle but the true question is "why would a ghost kill another person in the same week?" This spirit might have a revenge plot or something. Tori thought.

Zinnia wandered upstairs, looking casual as she followed Tori. She was reluctant to say anything about ghosts as the officer also followed.

"Well to be quite honest I believe that the victim was poisoned. Though there are no marks on his body to suggest physical injury and no needle prick for injected poison. At least that's what the coroner says. If it were a robbery though I think there would have been a more improvised weapon. Nothing as elaborate as poison." replied the officer.

Zinnia couldn't help but chuckle quietly to herself. The officer had just outlined the main point she had in her mind. A robber wouldn't poison anyone. For a robbery gone wrong, there would have been an improvised weapon. It seemed this officer could work well when he wanted to.

Tori walked into the room where the victim had been found. "It looks like he was...successful in life." she said hesetently. The room was pretty messy and there was a king sized bed. Truthfully it was way to big for Tori's tast. The sheets on the bed were messed up, and clothes were all over the place. "We found the vic on the bed. Strange thing is there are no other finger prints other than his." the Officer explaned.

Zinnia looked over the scene, keeping quiet. She already knew why there were no fingerprints but decided that of all people an officer wouldn't be the best person to start explaining the existence of the supernatural to. Instead she cooked up a story to satisfy him.

"This is merely a suicide," she replied quietly, "He must have used some off-market untraceable drug. There's no other conclusion."
Zinnia then went on to explain that despite how wealthy he looked, his life wasn't at all happy. She tried to explain away the scattered clothes and sheets as a string of one night stands, hoping to gain some happiness in the form of sexual intercourse and beautiful women. The police would no doubt test for semen and other such fluids to back up her 'theory', but she had no doubt that something would be there for them to analyse.

The officer just stared at Zinnie, "Stop stairing at her." Tori said as she left the room. "I want all of the reports that you have so far that includes the Autopsy." she said glancing back. "Yes Ma'am. Where should I fax them to?" he asked Tori. "Have them ready in two hours." Tori said as she left the room and put on her sunglasses.

Zinnia couldn't help but smirk slightly from behind Tori. She found it quite amusing that the officer thought so little of her intelligence to be this surprised by her information. Though it was partially false it wasn't too far from the truth, enough to be believable. After all, all good lies are built partially on truth.

Zinnia wandered out of the house, hop-skipping back towards the car, "So then Tori, back to the motel?" she asked, grinning still.


*some time and a bit of online research later*

"Anyluck on the research?" Tori asked as she walked out the door. They were heading back to the crime scene and this time Tori was going to be prepaired. She went out earlyer and got some rock salt, grabbing the keys on the way out. She wasn't sure what to expect but she baught and cast iorn skillet and told the casheir that it was going to be a gift for a distant cousen.

"Well those urban legends about the area seemed promising. We'll just have to see if we can find Sarah Reichs' grave. If not it'll be harder to find whatever possession of hers still exists..." replied Zinnia. The young female really quite hated internet research, she would rather be playing an old ripped copy of the Wild Skies game from the Cartoon Network website. However she knew how important it was for them to destroy these ghosts and spirits and send them on their way.

Hopping back into the front seat of the car, Zinnia was sat loading rock salt filled gun cartridges into her shotgun. The gun looked way to big for her, but somehow she had the strength to carry it. No doubt if she survived into her twenties, she would become an excellent hunter, even if she decided to fly solo.

Tori had second thoughts on the crime scene and turned to head for the Cemitary. "Were any of her belongings with her when she died?" she asked. Tori courious about the young woman and what made her die. Was it an accident or was it intential? So many questions came to her; Tori always wanted to know about the "Why and how" in cases like these.

"I dunno about any belongings but the article I found said she was murdered," replied Zinnia thinking back over what she had seen. It was almost as if she could read the article again in her mind. She could picture each word clearly as she spoke pausing for a second as if to scan down that metal image of the article to check her information.

"It also said that her father was awfully ill when she was killed and died shortly after her funeral."
