Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyFri Feb 13, 2015 10:14 pm

First topic message reminder :

While it definitely wasn’t the first time anything of the sorts had happened to him, Ripley was still just as confused to find himself waking up in an alleyway. The redhead stirred from his slumber and moved his hands up to his face, rubbing his eyes. A slight groan escaped the emissary as he pushed himself into an upright sitting position, leaning against the wall of one of the surrounding buildings and glancing around.

“Well. This isn’t where I fell asleep.” He simply mumbled, careful not to glance around too rapidly lest he give himself a headache. As a matter of fact, the more he thought about it, he hadn’t even fallen asleep at all. At least, not that he could remember. The last thing he was able to clearly think of was his and Aries’ visit with the local Warden, searching for clues on the murder of the Youngest Gruff, a higher up member of the Summer Court. Their search hadn’t turned anything up however, and even with being able to remember that, this was definitely a different alleyway than the one the Warden used. Something had to have happened in-between then, and whatever time it was now.

Ripley stood up and cautiously stepped out to the mouth of the alleyway, taking a look around the city. He hadn’t completely noticed it before, but now, he was definitely recognizing a key feature of his surroundings. The city was near empty, with no cars moving down the streets, no people on the sidewalks, no stands or shops on the side. There were plenty of buildings, some tall and others small, but no people heading in or out. They didn’t even seem occupied. The sky itself was gray with clouds, giving the place below it a gray hue about it. There was even the slightest hint of fog rolling through.

Without saying a word, the emissary stepped out onto the sidewalk and looked back and forth, trying to decide on a way to go. After a few seconds, some closed eyes and spinning around in a circle while holding his hand out, he promptly decided to go left. The more he walked, the more empty the area felt. It just didn’t seem natural, or right to him. Really it was starting to freak him out.

Several blocks later, Ripley stopped, stepping into a new area. This one seemed like a large plaza in the city, a big, open area with a four-way intersection going through the middle. Off the side of the road, in the open area between the street and the buildings, there were some tables and benches, along with a few small fountains here and there. It seemed like a good area to relax, well, it probably would be if anyone were there to take advantage of it. Anybody besides him, at least.

Taking a few steps off of the sidewalk, he stepped up to one of the various benches and sat down, glancing around as he let the whole situation sink in. The place definitely didn’t look like Boston, so he assumed that he had ended up somewhere else. Where he had ended up was beyond him.
“This sucks…” He commented, with the silence of the rest of the city, he could probably be heard a fair distance away. Maybe if he waited, somebody else would come. And if nobody came, at least he could get some rest. Something told him he would need it.

(Just in case anybody is looking for any information, your characters can wake up anywhere really. The middle of the street, a rooftop, an alleyway, any place works.)

Callix watched as the glowing faded and the items used in the ritual turned to ash. The hair that had been cut off, some of the blood that pooled the ground, the branch and its leaves, and the fur of the cat had been reduced to ash as if they had been burned.

He huffed, before turning to the light, staring at it while his eyes demanded answers that the light had said it had.

'OhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygosh!' Nyx hyperventilated from within, 'I was not prepared for this, what's going on? Why did that other voice echo in here?'

'Will you shut up for five seconds!?' Callix snapped with and irritated look on his face, however what he was irritated at was a bit unclear seeing as the others did not know.

Nyx squeaked and seemed to retreat, causing Callix to apologize out of guilt. He was just being as intimidating as the other man had been to her. He was not sure what had happened between the two, just that the red haired man caused fear in Nyx. She couldn't hide things from him, but he could her.

"You're welcome," he huffed to Robyn, coming off as rather rude but not quite meaning to be. The grimmoire was clapped shut, and he held it close to him in case the others decided they wanted a little taste of the book's abilities. The book was the strongest thing he knew, he knew nothing of the other's natural strength if they had any at all.

'...Are you scared?' Nyx asked.

'Just startled is all,' he responded.

PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyWed Feb 18, 2015 12:45 am

Taking the shirt back from Thomas, Ripley offered a silent nod as way of saying thank you before sliding the shirt back on, careful to get it over his hat. Once it was back on, he turned and looked to the light, waiting to see what it had to say. At least it was something to focus on, after the strange wolf-like creature, the girl that just appeared out of nowhere, and the random other voice. With everything going on, it was nearly giving him a headache.

"Oh. Wow. You're all actually paying attention. That's a pretty good start." The light seemed to flicker a bit, sounding surprised at how quickly everyone seemed to give it their attention.
"Alright, well I'm going to be honest, this sort of isn't supposed to happen. Not really supposed to be here, so I'm not sure how much I can tell you all, or do for you. Maybe where exactly you are would be a good start. You see, this whole area..." The light flitted through the air, as if to gesture to the whole plaza around the group.
"I'm guessing none of you are familiar with it. That's because it's not really from any of your worlds. As a matter of fact, none of you are really in any of your original worlds right now. This is a sort of place between, a sort of hub that's been created to house any people who end up off their beaten path. Oh! Yeah, also, I'd be careful about spending too much time here. You see, there are things out there that aren't too keen on irregularities such as yourselves. Might get a bit violent. Anyways. Now, as for how you got here, well..." The light disappeared for a few seconds, before reappearing.
"Well, I guess I can't get that information to you just yet. You'll have to figure that out yourselves. Look, what's going to happen is some gateways are going to crop up in the area. They're all going to lead off to your worlds. When you get there, you're going to have to find something, it'll be different depending on the world you're in, but you should all be familiar with your own worlds. It'll be something that feels like it shouldn't be there, something otherworldly." As it spoke, at the very center of the plaza, eight different lights similar to the one speaking appeared, before expanding into a circular shape standing vertically, all of them lined up together.
"When you find it..." The light stopped speaking, flickering in place.
"Alright, I'm rambling. Do you have any questions?" It paused for a moment.
"Just to clarify, any questions I can actually answer?"

Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyWed Feb 18, 2015 4:01 am

The black cat seemed to squint. Fjor didn't trust the situation one bit. Perhaps if he could look inside this... "Light's" mind, something might be gleaned.

He closed his eyes at quickly extended his mind towards the light, jabbing out at it's defenses. To his surprise, he seemed to fall into something he could not explain. It felt like no consciousness he had ever encountered. It was fragmented into wisps of a self. Faded thoughts, dull memories, and empty feelings. Sadness. Regret. A stubborn optimism. Memories. A forest. Dull, empty, foriegn. Seven. People? She was a female. Was? What was she now? Not human. Not supernatural. Not dead. Not alive. Not undead.

He shook his head.

He sat for a moment, silently contemplating nothing.

The place between being and no-being. Walking the on the edge of something and nothing.

Hmmm...

His ears twitched. A thought entered his head that was not his. Another's. It's thoughts felt strange. Familiar. They had a ring to them. Deep waters, strange ripples. He looked at the source.

What even is that? A stuffed carnival prize?

Fjor, in turn, extended his mind. As they touched, he felt recognition. He had been right. A powerful being to be sure. However, it was young. Very young.

Intriguing.

Fjor sauntered over towards the other being and looked it in the eyes, his tail swaying back and forth hypnotically.

He didn't attempt to hold back his own presence. He doubted he would be able to for long.

"I would turn down the volume if I were you. We can all hear you. You'll confuse them."

((I don't know which being you're talking about, and if it's Blade, so I'm going to do something normal for now))

Blade listened intently to what the light was saying, and nodded. So, there were a bunch of portals and they needed to collect things that seemed otherwordly? Ok, no problem. The thing was, it didn't seem like these light portal thingys had a view of what world it went to. Blade would have to go by her canine senses. Walking over, she stepped in front of the first portal she happened to be near. It had a feel of a different world, not Mobius. She turned to the light and asked, "Are there other living, breathing, beings in these recreations of our worlds you're talking about?" Before walking over to the portal, she stood and waited for an answer.

Thomas listened to the giant orb of light. Well half listened and half started messing with his sword. He was holding the blue blade and crouching down his wolf tail brushed against the ground and his ears twitched in annoyance as he looked at the blade. "What's wrong with it?" He asks himself as he looked closely at the thin symbols which while once shined brighter then the sun now we're hazy like the sword itself had a mist around it. Wanting to be at full power he focused his own energy into the sword in a attempt to wake the blade up, it started shining with a red light but that's all that happened before Thomas felt a small amount of push to the energy, it was like his sword thought Thomas wasn't it's owner.

"What the hell, did someone fill the requirements while I was passed out, no does it have something to do with this world not being my own?" He asked himself as the energy still hung around him. Any would could sense energy would be able to feel his own demonic pressure. But there was something else to the energy, some sort of warm calming feeling that shunned the demonic presence away.

Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyThu Feb 19, 2015 1:59 am

Robyn listened to the weird blue thingy, absorbing what it was saying. "...Hmm. Well, I've heard worse situations come out of weird lights. I'm sure this isn't something that can't be worked out," she mused, shifting her weight from one leg to the other.

Robyn caught wind of a very dejected "You're welcome" coming from behind her in the same moment, causing her to whirl around and try to locate the source. She noticed a boy shut a strange book and huff. She quickly put two and two together.

"Ah- wait, you healed me, didn't you?" Robyn asked, feeling bad she hadn't acknowledged him sooner. "Sorry, let me thank you properly; you really saved my ass," she said apologetically, approaching the boy. She balanced Kin on on arm, holding the other out to shake. "I'm Robyn. Robyn Fury. Really, thank you for what you did." She looked pensive for a moment. "...Did you also bring Kin to me? I couldn't really see too well when all that was happening..."

Kin's ears perked up as he heard a voice in his head. He peeked over Robyn's arm and saw a strange looking black creature, one who had apparently contacted him through telepathy.

".....Darkrai? .......Giratina?" Kin asked (speaking only to the creature), confused. the creature had a similar, all-consuming aura, but... he just wasn't the the same as them. "....Nah. You can't be either of them. You're very different." He paused a moment. "Anyways, why would it matter if people can hear me? It's not like I don't do it all the time at home. Robyn's not the best communicator; somebody's gotta translate her war screeches into actual orders." He chuckled lightly at that thought.

Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyThu Feb 19, 2015 2:33 am

Callix listened as the spectral light spoke to them, speaking of other worlds and copies of other worlds. The strange wolf creature then asked if there was living beings in the other world. The blonde young man awaited the answer, hoping for a negative. If there were no other living beings, then there would be nobody to man the Artifacts of Grimm. Things would be easy as cake! However if there were, then things would get a lot more complicated. If these worlds were replicas, then would they even have the artifacts there as well? Thoughts rummaged through his mind, only being interrupted by the woman he had saved speaking to him.

"Yes I saved you, as for your weird fox-dog-cat-experiment-nature...thing, I did not bring it to you," Callix had difficulty in deciding what to call the eevee, he did not speak in disgust, but more out of genuine lack of knowledge.

'Hey...there was a kitty with us, are we going to a world filled with kitties?' Nyx spoke up.

'What? I don't know...' Callix responded.

'Ask it!' She begged.

'No! It's a stupid question!' Callix huffed back.

'C'moooon!' she whined, becoming disappointed.

The young man sighed, before looking back to the glowing blue specter and speaking, "Nyx wants to know...if we're going to a land full of cats..."

'Love you big broootheeer~' she chimed.

'Yeah yeah yeah...' he rolled his eyes.

'I wonder if that brown fluffy thing is a kitty in her world...' Nyx pondered.

'You're being awfully calm compared to how you were just a minute ago...'

Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyThu Feb 19, 2015 3:37 am

Blythe had blinked at the sudden voice in her head. The words hadn't been spoken out loud, she had distinctly felt and heard them in her mind... but it was a bizarre feeling to say the least. She'd only experienced it once or twice before, due to one of the other ELES mages possessing a small form of telepathic communication magic that was utilised in larger operations to keep everyone up to date. Either way she didn't think she'd get used to how weird it felt to have someone else's voice invade your mind.

Hearing a normal voice reply to the mind-speak however, Blythe blinked. It was the sky girl that had spoken, and she was looking at the brown furry creature that Blythe had brought over to her whilst she was injured. Was it the tiny fox-like creature that had talked?

The shadow mage's thoughts were interrupted by the continuation of the blue light's speech. She listened rather intently to it's words - which to Blythe's credit was more than she listened to most people - and though it all sounded rather complicated, she couldn't help but admit that it also might be quite exciting! Those other eight lights all lead to worlds that she had never even heard of! New places to explore that not even the Entropy mages, in all their mysteriousity, would have been to.

Distracted by her own dreams of adventure, Blythe completely missed Blade's query and Thomas's confused question to himself. What she did hear, however, was the voice of the sky girl introducing herself. The sky girl, - Robyn - hadn't been speaking to her at the time, but it she appeared to be the first of the group to put one of the names the light had spoken to an actual face.

Cheerfully hopping over as the blonde denied bringing the bundle of brown fur over to Robyn, Blythe grinned at the sky girl.
"Oh that was me!" she smiled, "Is Kin his name? He's adorable!"

PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyThu Feb 19, 2015 3:49 am

Ella frowned at the spirit's words. Torn from her own world? Brought to a sort of hub? It sounded like something out of one of those cheesy chick flicks from the human world; or at the very least something that happened to so-called 'heroes' like Danny Phantom.

She shook her head irritably. "Doesn't this stuff happen to, like, the 'good guys'?" She asked scornfully, not addressing anyone in particular as she looked around at the strange assortment of creatures who had been brought here with her.

"Sounds more like something out of an action movie than something real, if you ask me," she sniffed. "Why did this happen to us? And why us, in particular? What's so special about any of us? I never went looking for any powerful artifacts or tried to annoy any powerful ghosts or spirits to avoid something like this happening to me; and now you're saying none of that matters?"

Ella wasn't sure what the others would think of her outburst, but she supposed it didn't really matter. She definitely wasn't here to make any friends with these people. They weren't ghosts -well maybe except for that cat entity- so she had no interest in them.

Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyThu Feb 19, 2015 9:32 pm

"I...what?" The light spoke after having to pause for a moment. A lot of them seemed to simply stop paying attention and start looking at something else. And the ones that didn't, well, one of them was complaining, one had an actual question, and the other had asked about a world full of cats.
"Let me get this straight. You just woke up in a random ass world, with almost nothing but yourselves around, you don't even know if you can trust everyone here, and your question for me is if you're going to end up in a world full of cats?" It hovered slightly closer to Callix as it spoke, keeping a slow and deliberate tone while speaking. Exasperated, it sighed and moved closer to Blade.
"As for your question, yeah. They're your worlds after all, not really recreations. That was a bit of a slip on my part I guess. But yes, there will be other living, breathing beings." It answered, before starting to flicker out slightly.
"Okay, I'm out of time. Screw it. Portals, lights, objects, go find them. You'll definitely know them when you see them, it's going to make you feel horrible probably. Bring them back here. Really though, if you want a suggestion from me, I'd start talking to each other. Get to know one another. I mean seriously, basically none of you know each other, and your first thoughts aren't to talk to each other? Figure out who you are, who you can trust and who you can't? Get that stuff settled?" As it finished speaking, the light's flickering intensified a bit, before simply vanishing. This time, it didn't reappear.

Ripley had simply stood by the whole time, listening to everything it had to say. He didn't really have any questions for it, though now that it was gone, he was starting to regret not asking anything. After all, it had mentioned some important sounding things. "You see, there are things out there that aren't too keen on irregularities such as yourselves. Might get a bit violent. Anyways. Now, as for how you got here, well..." Things? What sorts of things did it mean?
"Well...that was something." He spoke up a bit, moving away from the group and towards the eight light portals, looking at them closely. There didn't seem to be a way to tell which one lead to which world.
"So, does anyone want to introduce themselves? Maybe we should get that taken care of." He decided to suggest, turning back to the group and addressing them as a whole. Of course, it was really up to everyone else if they wanted to share or not. They could even just jump into one of the portals if they felt like it. Wasn't like anything was stopping them.

Blade shrugged. "Welp, I dunno. I don't exactly like going first," She commented, walking back from the portals and near the group instead. The wolf didn't want to be stared at first thing, so she hung back a little bit, but not too far. All 7 others knew she existed anyway, so it wasn't like they'd be like, "Oh whatever, there's only 7 of us." Blade knew better than to think that.

'I'm starting to wonder why people are gawking at me. That brown furry fox thing is just as abnormal.' The teen wolf thought, petting her chaos wolf absentmindedly. 'Oh crap... just realized what I'm doing. I'm begging you god, please don't let them stare......' Blade realized worriedly.

Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1)   Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 EmptyThu Feb 19, 2015 10:44 pm

"Exactly my thoughts..." Callix sighed as the blue light questioned his own question. The light then encouraged the group to converse, before disappearing. He sighed, and decided to analyze the situation. There were currently in the middle of what seemed to be nowhere, with 8 other people and things, though one thing Callix had noticed, is that the light had said there was supposed to be 8 of them. If the cat was included, since it did not seem as if it could talk, then there would be nine wouldn't there?

'Is a cat more of a person than I am!?' Nyx spoke, a bit startled by the thought. She had begun to think that maybe the feline had been counted instead of her.

'Either we're considered one person and that is not a cat or someone here isn't supposed to be here. The light said we came from different worlds, so it could very well just look like a cat and act like a cat to us, but in its own world it's something completely different,' Callix reasoned, suspecting the latter rather than the former as the two considered themselves two different people.

'So since we're working together with them...we should probably tell them right?' Nyx asked.

'No, it'd probably be best to keep that on a down low. It might be a bit freaky...' Callix responded, favoring more of keeping secrets from the group for their own safety.

'But there's a walking talking dog...I'm pretty sure two people in one body wouldn't be a big deal?' she responded.

'I just think we shouldn't tell them every little thing...' he spoke, a bit uncertain.

'but this is supposed to be some kind of teamwork thing right? How can we be a team if we don't show them some kind of trust?' Nyx whined

'We haven't told anyone since that day, and we're certainly not going to start today,' he growled back as he became annoyed, referring to the day they had tried to explain their situation to a psychiatrist.

'B-But teamwork!'

'Fine!' he snarled, throwing the controls into her hands and retreating to the back of the mind, 'you take the wheel!'

Nyx swallowed as she suddenly appeared in the place of Callix. She seemed to turn a bit red out of nervousness, and regretted angering her brother. She wished she could go back, but it seemed Callix wasn't going to let her escape back into the mind just yet. She stood there awkwardly for a moment before clearing her throat, "Well...uh...I'm Nyx Nakotah, who you saw before was my Big Brother Callix...and...yeah...." she did not seem capable of proceeding after being put on the spot.

She wrapped her arms around the grimmoire and hugged it tightly, scared.

Thomas was lost in his own mind be only just noticed that the light had disappeared from view. He slowly got up as he heard the one who gave him the shirt ask if anyone wants to introduce themselves. He was about to but he then saw the guy who healed the wounded person turn into a girl and he, well she was now talking. "You can shift in between two soul's?" Thomas asked after she was done talking slightly curious on how it worked. He then noticed the shaking and the holding on to the book so he decided to refrain from pursuing the questions.

"Well if introductions are in order, I'm Thomas a half demon" he said with a smile. "Nice to meet you all." He ended with, better to trust them with the info he had. Not like any of it could help them they didn't even seem to be elves or demons, except maybe the walking talking wolf but that hadn't been the weirdest thing Thomas had seen.

Ella looked around as the light disappeared. One of the males suggested that they follow the light's suggestion and introduce themselves. Ella blinked as suddenly another male transformed into a female body and introduced herself as Nyx, and that the male body as her 'big brother Callix'.

Another guy introduced himself as a 'half-demon' and Ella had to wonder if 'demon' meant the same thing to the guy as it did to the humans of her world.

Ella sighed. There was so many strange beings here. Might as well introduce herself. "My name is Ella Phantasma; but I prefer just 'Ella'," she stated. "I'm what the humans of my dimension call a 'ghost'. I can fly; turn intangible; blast energy called 'ectoplasm' from my hands. And a few other things, too; but I'm not sure I trust you all enough to tell you just yet." Ella flapped her hands around. "So.. ta-da I guess. Anyone else wanna give introducing a go?" she asked, looking around.

Interdimensional Roleplay (Group 1) - Page 3 Empty

Fjor looked back at the fur ball after the light dissipated.

"In retrospect, you might as well keep at it. Seems like we're going to be together a while. They'll need to get used to it. Speaking of that, excuse me. I have to do something. We'll talk later."

With that the little cat bounded over towards the nearest bench and pounced up onto it. Seating himself down, he shook himself and then proceeded to give everyone in the area a good mental poke. It was enough to draw their attention to him and give them a feeling of his mind without making them uneasy as he had the... 'Halfa'.

When they were all paying attention, he spoke up.

"Good evening. At least, I suppose it's 'Good evening'. It feels like evening, doesn't it. There's that certain something in the air. Then again, maybe you can't feel it. Must be something in my whiskers, I suppose."

His voice was a slightly raspy baritone. The words flitted out of his mouth with a twist of something ancient behind them, yet they carried with them a certain rascally charm.

"Anywho, I digress. It would seem we are stuck together. Thus, it's best you all know who exactly I am.

"First off, yes, I know. I'm a talking cat. Oooh. Aaah. I'll give you a moment to work the excitement out of your systems. Don't worry I'll wait."

A sarcastic pause.

"All done? Good. Now, onto the heart of the matter. I'm not just a talking cat. Believe it or not, and I do hope you do, I am what is often known as a God. I'm simply trapped in this form at the moment. 'Why' is a question Im sure you all areas king yourselves, and I assure you there is a good answer, but it's one we do not have time to go over at the moment. For now, we'll just say that treachery is something far older than the devices of man, beast, or whatever the rest of you are.

"Now, where was I? Oh yes, the whole God thing. To be more specific, I am Death. Impermanence. The Abyss. Whatever you want to call it. My name is Drottin Fjorlagg Vardmader, which translates from Old Norse into 'Lord Death the Watcher'. Now, I understand that my name is a mouth full and difficult to pronounce, so you can just call me Fjor.

"Now, onto the whole point as to why I'm talking to you. You must understand,I usually don't do this, but these seem to be extenuating circumstances. This form you see is really more of an imprisonment. It seals my powers and diminishes them when in use. In order to use even a modicum of my strength, I need help. A partner. Someone to make sacrifices. This is a slightly complex process, so I won't go into it in depth now, but I do need to ask a favor.

"Either one of you needs to volunteer to be my partner, or you all need to agree that you will take turns giving sacrifices when you need me. Either will do.

"I know this is a lot of information to process, so I'll give you all a moment to process. If you have questions or concerns, I'll be here.

"Also, sorry about all the words. It's been awhile since I've actually talked, and once the flood gates open, it's difficult to seal them shut."

He then pawed at his whiskers and licked his paw.

It would be interesting to see how they all reacted.
