| First topic message reminder :- Mission Details:
https://pmd-roleplay.forumotion.org/t2947-i-wasn-t-showing-off-e» Client: Pidgeotto » Objective: Bring back Peitlil! » Place: Icicle Woods » Restrictions: None » Difficulty: E » Reward: 200 poke + Foe-Fear orb » Expiration: 2 Months after last attempt. » Exploration Points: 15
The eternally frozen Icicle Woods were a beautiful sight, one that would look great in a picture. However, most would likely find that it didn't feel quite as nice as it looked, what with the low temperature. Of course, this meant nothing to Ice Types who could ignore if not enjoy the cold weather and fully enjoy the sights available. Though one particular Ice Type found it difficult to enjoy the area even with the typing advantage. Too many bad memories. It seemed like every time Sova the glaceon came to the Icy Lands something awful happened to him. So why was he here? It was surely because he had a mission. It was as simple as that. This mission had a good reward and was in an environment easy for him to handle, that was all there was to it. No underlying meaning, he assured himself. But what if there was? He couldn't help but feel that he'd come here for a different reason that he was denying. Perhaps hoping to find some closure. Or maybe to face his demons. Maybe he just wanted to prove to some invisible force that he wasn't weak and cowardly. Or maybe he was just feeling extremely confused for no reason. (27 energy. NINJA EDIT.)

| Ten seconds and the living tree was now....less living than before. Probably still alive, but not as alive than it had been prior. Sova would have admired his quick work, had he had time to. He also would have wondered why he'd stopped being such a strategic thinker, considering how good it felt to do it again....but he was far too busy for that. He turned to see the houndour struggling to stand, only to collapse again. Nothing for him to worry about at the moment. He looked in the direction the hound was facing, to see what was so important he would try to get up for it.
What little of his hearing that he'd regained, suddenly disappeared once again as he saw a weavile turn and bolt in the opposite direction. This wouldn't have been of too much concern to him if not for the fact that it was the same weavile that had bumped into him earlier....right after which, he noticed his necklace was gone. It seemed the houndour had spotted this thief first and was trying to stand for this very reason. And to think, he was willing to risk the life of such a loyal and useful companion mere moments ago.
As the weavile ran, it looked back, but noticed the glaceon was gone. The sounds of rustling to its side made it turn in the direction of the noise, only to see a trail of snow had been kicked up. It turned back to the path ahead of it, only to see the glaceon. It skidded to a stop, falling over backwards in the process in an attempt to not run into the glaceon who looked rather menacing and furious. "Fancy seeing you again." He said in a deceptively calm tone. He was everything but calm.

| WEAVILE C H A L L E N G E D S O V A T O A B A T T L E ! MALE. DARK/ICE. PICKPOCKET. BRICK BREAK | EMBARGO | ICE SHARD | WHIRLPOOL The weavile hissed at the Glaceon, the necklace dangling from one of his claws. The ice type wrapped the string around its claws, making sure it would not fall off since it foresaw a fight, before his claws took on a dark hue and dark bars began to surround the Glaceon, ready to smack the Glaceon in case he attempted to use an item. Zera, meanwhile, had seen the two flee, and he was abandoned to himself by the abomasnow. He struggled up, not wanting to be there in case the ice and grass type woke up with a grudge, and started towards the direction he had seen the two run off in. He had to go help the boss, he just had to! Ooc: Decided to toy with the stuff Programming has been teaching me a bit xDD | |

| Sova eyed the necklace, wondering whether to simply knock the weavile out and take his precious trinket back or bite its hands off so it could never steal again. He would figure that out when the time came. He noticed the odd dark bars surrounding him, though they didn't matter. He didn't really recognize them as any move he'd seen, but what ever they were, they weren't going to stop him from getting his necklace back. He wasted no time in charging at the weavile with....Quick Attack? It felt odd, again, different from what he was used to feeling from Quick Attack.
As he moved to ram the thief, his frozen fur suddenly became encased in a much larger amount of ice, turning his ice-needle coat into an ice-spike coat. He looked more like a blue jolteon than a glaceon with this new....thing, though the shock wasn't enough to stop him from attacking.

| While the Glaceon had been charging towards him with the icicle, the Weavile seemed to be forming a similar one of its own. He collided with the glaceon's ice shard with its own, before its claw began to glow orange and he attempted to smash through the Glaceon's ice with brick break. The weavile received a bit of damage as the ice dug into its skin, but most had been broken away by the brick break as it now attempted to strike the Glaceon with it.
Zera meanwhile was struggling to catch up, the two fast pokemon being much faster and covered more distance than a wounded hound that could barely shuffle along.

| Sova ducked to avoid the Brick Break, coming so close to being hit that some of his icy thorn-armor had been broken off where ever he was hit because it wasn't specified. Instead of attempting to counterattack with a move, he simply opened his mouth and attempted to latch his jaws onto the wrist of the weavile's outstretched arm. He'd decided that severely damaging its hands seemed fun as well as effective, so that would be what he would aim to do. Then, when the weavile's hands were rendered useless and perhaps a few more areas of its body were heavily damaged, THEN, he would take his necklace back and be on his way. | |

| The weavile had pulled its claw away quickly, preventing damage to its hand. It backpedaled a few times before beginning to dart in a speedy circle around the Glaceon, the snow rising as the ice type used Whirlpool, attempting to trap the glaceon and prevent him from moving, maybe get some distance between each other while he was trapped. Zera meanwhile had finally caught up to the scene, and observed the battle, trying to register what was going on and what he should do. The hound could hardly keep track of the Weavile, but he spotted Boss. He had to help, but how? | |

| Sova growled in frustration as the weavile avoided his attempt to....give it a hand. Moreso, to take a hand from it. He then attempted to keep up with the enemy as it became a blur, rushing around and around in circles, with him in the circle, snow beginning to swirl around him. He could barely register the weavile's location, especially since he was having a difficult time focusing. All he could think about was getting a hold of the crook and getting his necklace back. There was no room for focus or strategy.
He attempted to step towards the ring around him which he'd known to still be the weavile, only to find the air seeming to pull him back to the center. He put a paw on his bag to open it, but was forced to instead back away in recoil as one of the mysterious bars following him flew by him. "Oh....that's a neat trick." He muttered to himself in frustration, now realizing the purpose of this move was to stop him from using items.
Growling in frustration all the while, the glaceon struggled against the pressing suction of the makeshift "whirlpool," stamping his feet down on the ground with each step as he attempted to escape this contraption. He was gaining ground, but nowhere near fast enough....he was too immobilized like this. After taking a moment to attempt to follow the weavile's movements, he fired a carefully aimed Ice Beam in the hopes of hitting the assailant and ceasing this whirlpool, or at the very least weakening it enough for him to escape.

| The weavile was struck with the Ice Beam, however the whirlpool continued on. The weavile wiped off the frost from the beam and snickered, the Glaceon being trapped and unable to move. The weavile was about to leave, when a hound had managed to leap onto it and grab onto the claw with the necklace. The weavile screeched, failing the paw in attempt to throw the hound off, and ended up flinging it into the whirlpool with enough force to knock the glaceon out of it. Zera howled in pain again as the frost melted into water, and he took damage from the attack, suffering further than what was healthy for him, not that suffering was healthy in the first place. | |

| Sova's frustration only grew as his Ice Beam proved ineffective. This particular pokemon held full resistance to him....dark and ice, not even his Shadow Ball would be able to phase it much. He could resort to just hitting it really hard until it stopped moving, but the whirlpool was proving to make it difficult for him to get close, or to get anywhere for that matter. Then the weavile halted as it was caught by a familiar houndour. With the enemy held fairly still for a moment, he attempted to aim and fire an Ice Beam, but the hound flying into him just as he fired made it difficult for him to tell if he'd successfully hit the enemy. The next thing he knew, he was getting up off the ground....outside of the vacuum cyclone.
Wasting no time, he darted around the "whirlpool" with his new move, Ice Shard, refreezing over his damaged fur armor and speeding up to the point that he was on the other side of the whirlpool facing the weavile in a few seconds. Without a moment of hesitation, he lunged for the thief, hoping to pin it to the ground.

| The weavile was struck with the attack, having been taken by surprise. He found himself pinned and reached to throw the Glaceon off with a Brick Break.
Not too far off, a certain petlil had heard the commotion and come to investigate. It hid behind a trunk of a tree, and looked onward to the scene. A glaceon was pinning a Weavile while some whirlpool of water seemed to have something trapped within. Wonder what this was all about?
Zera could no longer howl, he could no longer move, he could barely breathe. he lay on the ground while the water assaulted him relentlessly. Moments seemed like hours and seconds seemed like minutes. The pain finally ceased to grow when the whirlpool finally dispersed, leaving an unconscious houndour laying on the ground.

| Finally having pinned the vile creature that had avoided him thus far, Sova gave a menacing grin as he considered what to do with it. As the weavile attempted to swing its arm at him, he simply stomped his paw down on the fiend's arm to cease the attack. Before it could attack again, he bit down on wrist of the weavile's pinned arm, allowing it to yelp in pain before beginning to spin it around and around by its arm, the body of the weavile following behind.
After a few seconds of this, before it could manage to fight back, he abruptly stopped and yanked in the opposite direction, the resulting strain causing the weavile's arm to be popped out of its socket, as well as its wrist broken. The audible cracking sounds were enough to get through the glaceon's mentally-blocked hearing, signaling the end of what ever had happened to him. It was then revealed that the fiend was holding the stolen necklace in this hand as the trinket dropped from the now rather limp hand, to the ground.
The beginning of a pained scream was silenced as the weavile was tossed into the ground, by its tattered arm. Before it could begin whining again, the glaceon slammed his spiky tail into the back of its head, knocking it out cold and leaving some wounds on the back of its head and neck for it to think about. Sova glared at the unconscious thief for a moment, looking as if he wanted to do more than what was already done, before turning his attention towards his necklace. He picked it up by the string in his mouth and tossed it up, allowing it to fall over his neck, back into its rightful place.
Theeeeeeeeeeeen he remembered there was a houndour that was last seen dying in a whirlpool and quickly turned his attention to searching for said houndour. It seemed the whirlpool was gone and through all of his spinning, he'd completely lost his sense of direction for the time-being. He had no clue where the houndour was at a glance, hoping instead to spot his ally somewhere by scanning the area.

| The hound had been exactly where he had remained five seconds ago, on the ground, in pain, and blacked out. He didn't appear to be harmed with any gashes, but his body was visibly bruised harshly and his breathing was obviously difficult. He had pushed himself beyond his limits, and was now taking the toll.
The petlil watched the Weavile get brutally beaten as the Glaceon took a necklace and revealed that his bag had the badge of an explorer. The petlil gave a small hop of joy, before approaching the Glaceon, not caring for the brutality the glaceon had shown towards the weavile, "Yes! Hello! I need assistance please!!"

| Upon spotting the houndour, Sova prepared to break into a run towards his fallen comrade, before hearing another voice. He almost jumped in surprise, still feeling the disorienting effects of what he could only gather had been a panic attack of some kind. He could hear now, but he was still having difficulties focusing and everything felt a bit....surreal. But, now that he has his necklace back, it was going away. "Ah....alright, give me a minute. I've gotta make sure my....friend's alright." He managed to reply to the petilil, only realizing afterwards that this was likely the petilil he was supposed to find for his mission. That's right....he had a mission.
He shook all of the sensible thoughts flooding his head away for a moment and darted over to the downed houndour. "Hey, you alive? Come on, I'll help you stand. Or I'll carry you, your choice." He offered, despite the unappealing thought of carrying a fire type. Many fire types were very....hot to touch. It probably wouldn't hurt him, but it definitely wouldn't feel good. Regardless, this houndour had helped him.... Perhaps he wasn't the nicest guy in the world, but he was not one to turn his back on someone who'd just helped him.

| There was no response from the houndour, even if he had been awake enough to hear the ice type his response would just be a whimper or growl of pain if he could even manage to do such a simple thing in his condition. He could only lay there and proceed to be drowned in the abyss of unconsciousness, where there he at least could not feel the pain of his wounds.
The petlil tilted its head as it followed the glaceon it looked down at the houndour that lay in the snow and spoke, "Ya know, he looks kind of like that jerk that used to sit around small pond and say that this one area belonged to him...couldn't be him though, he was a huge jerk and your friend here must have been much nicer to be an explorer's friend!" the petlil grinned before bending its head over in a slight bow, the tips of its leaves pointing towards the ice type, "Here, take one of my leaves and give it to him."

| Sova shook his head at the petilil's remarks. "Dunno, I just met him. He's not the smartest guy in the world, but he's been helping me, that's all that matters to me." He said as he reached a paw out to pluck one of the leaves off the petilil. Sure, he could have lied and said this houndour was the nicest guy in the world, but lying was for special occasions only.
What if this houndour was the one the petilil was talking about? He wasn't going to let the guy be an ass to everyone they came across, that was for sure. But it made him think....he didn't really know anything about the houndour. He didn't even know the guy's name. When the hound woke up, they needed to have a talk and get to know each other.
