Continued from The New Leader's Quest

Serena sat against the fountain in the center of town. Fang the Charmander was looking down at her blankly. "We can rest here for now if you need to, but feel free to look around if you don't." Serena offered. Hopefully Fang didn't think she was crazy to be resting against a fountain full of water, but she guessed that wasn't likely. Serena closed her eyes, and rested. She was awake, she was just resting her body.

Fang walks over to the opposite side of Serena and stood like normal. She looked around the area making sure there was nothing that would distract them from the fight content on what she saw she looks back at Serena. Fang lifted up one claw as she drags rocks up with a strange psychic power, this was her ancient power as she sends a barrage or rocks at Serena

Serena jumped to her feet, watching the rocks rise. She jumped into the air and out of the way, but one nicked her tail. Serena ignored the pain and turned to face Fang, her tail turning into steel. She jumped at Fang, using Iron Tail. This was going to be a strange battle, she could tell.

Fang looks at Serena jumps as her and spins around her tail turning into a cold steel, she aims it at fang who barely had enough time to raise her arms and use a block which doesn't do much but defend her stomach and head. Using this close range she spun around using the speed boost ancient power had given her and attempts to hit her with the the fire on her tail, she knew it wasn't a real attack but the flame should still hurt if it came into contact with Serena

Serena winced in pain and jumped back. A nasty burn mark was left on her middle tail leaf. 'Ouch...' She thought. That hurt. She hurtled towards Fang again to try using Tackle, since Tackle and Iron Tail were the only two attack moves she could use. If she used Leer, it would lower Fang's defense, but wouldn't do any physical damage. 'I really need to level up..' She told herself.

Fang stood and took the tackle head on, she dug her feet into the ground and skidded on the ground some distance as she raised her claws and brought them down. She was attempting to slash right at Serena it would do some damage yes but she knew it wouldn't leave any real scars

'She's thinking on slashing me... ok. Not a problem.' Serena thought. She leaped back, evading the attack. Fang was clever with battle tactics. Very clever. Serena watched Fang, full of alertness as she looked for any sign of movement she wasn't expecting. She hadn't been fully alert when they started, but now she was pumped.

Fang smirked as she brought up sone rock's and willed them in the air, she made them with her other arm as she tried to slash serena with the othee, she pulls them back just as serena lands they went faster then last time due to the speed boost she got when she used it the firsr time.

This time the rocks got her in the face. She backward somersaulted from the impact. Serena groaned. Fang was tough. Jeez, those rocks had hurt! She prepared another Iron Tail, leaping up again. Serena wasn't going to give in that easily. She lunged.

Fang looks down as she waits for the impact, putring both arms in front of her head and blocks the iron tail though jot fully she cringed as the pain shot around her arm's but pushing through it grabbed the tail in a weird cross pattern and attempted to slam serena on the ground, she knew it wasn't a real attafk but it woule hurr

"Urgh....." Serena muttered in pain. Well, that was unexpected. Sadly, she slowly felt herself blacking out. Slowly, but she definitely was. The last thing she saw before blacking out completely, was Fang. Then she drifted into unconsciousness. Serena started dreaming about Mareep jumping over a particularly high fence, yet they jumped it easily. 'Wow.... they must be strong jumpers... in the dream, anyway.' Serena thought.

Fang walks over to her side and looks at her downed opponent, she decided to kick her once juat to make sure she wasn't dead, when she felt sonethig puah back slightly she was glad she didn't kill her. Fang bends down next to the pokemon and pokes her face with one claw. "I am still not sure of this place but i assume sleeping on the ground isn't good" she says in hopes to wake her up

"GAH!" Serena woke up again with a start. She had lost, but she did keep it up for a while, though. Which she thought was good. Serena had put up a good fight. Did Fang get a little stronger? Possibly. Did she get stronger? Maybe. Serena would have to find out, first. Oh, well. She got up and shook Fang's claws. "Good game." She said, smiling.

Fang was a bit startled at the sudden wake up and the loud noise she made as she got up. Fang settled down though and noticed her arm's, they were slightly bruised and a little purple instead of the normal golden. She had taken two hits so it was normal that they were slightly bruised but as she was looking at her arms she felt Serena grab and shake her claw. "Yes it twas a good battle" fang says with a small smile

Serena nodded. "You're definitely guild-worthy. You can join, but only if you want to. I happen to have a team with my friend Stella, myself." She said. Given Fang had evaded most of her attacks, it made sense that she could join the guild and not be bruised easily. Even Iron Tail was evaded, which was Serena's most powerful move at the moment. Oh, well. It was up to Fang if she joined the guild or not.

Fang shakes her head at this, she didn't feel like joining up with a guild as of now. "I'd prefer not to make any lasting bond's here" fang says to Serena knowing she was probably expecting her to say yes, fang wanted to gain power on her own accord and not be part of a guild seeing as how she was supposed to leave here once she got stronger then her father she'd be leaving others behind once that happened
