Lumina, you've just been full of bright ideas lately, haven't you.

Her own thought dryly chastised her as the six-tailed fox stood outside the entrance to Serene Cave. Despite the guild badge, treasure bag and wonder map poking out of the before mentioned bag, she wasn't here on a mission. No, she had decided to give herself a small break from her guild work.

She was here for something else. To grow stronger. To satisfy her curiosity. To come where she hadn't come before, in an attempt to learn about the world around her. Or maybe she was just here to entertain herself. What could she say, she enjoyed a good challenge now and then. Most likely, it was a little bit of all these reasons combined.

Her head held high, the Vulpix stood outside the cave regally, her ears perked attentively. She stepped inside, the cool air inside replacing the warmth that the sun left on her fur, and for some reason she couldn't quite explain, this gave Lumina a chill down her spine.

The saying was still everywhere, with all the subtly of a brick. A scratching on the sidewalk. A strangely formed shadow beneath her feet. Had the Vulpix known this was a dream, she would've been trying to snap herself out of it, but alas she wasn't a lucid dreamer. Instead, she just felt angry and unsure of herself, her eyes squeezed tightly shut as she traveled through the dreamscape.

Whose shadow were the words even referring to? Her mother? Lumina doubted that, she wasn't that much like the Ninetales, was she? But she didn't know anyone else. She certainly wasn't a shadow of the guildmaster, Faye, in fact Lumina's reasons for joining the guild were somewhat self-centered. She just wanted to make the most of her hobby and get rewarded for exploring. She wasn't even taking any guild work at the moment.

A Flareon passed by her. It, too, swiftly vanished when it left her field of vision, as if it never existed in the first place.

Noel felt slightly weird as she saw luminas eyes close as she decided that she would need to think it out in the dream Noel knew nightmares are bad but you have to face them or else you would have to deal with it later better now then never.

"You should take some of your own advice Noel" she said quietly to herself as she looked back to lumina "remember it's just a dream" she said not knowing if that would help she hoped it would but when did hoping get anyone anywhere

Lumina kept her head down, trying to avoid seeing any more of these messages. But what she didn't notice was when the ground simply vanished under her feet, sending the Vulpix falling, falling through an inky blackness. Thinking quickly, she looked below her, trying to see if there was anything she could grab onto. But there was nothing. Her eyes snapped open a moment before she hit the ground.

She was still panicked upon her waking, her eyes opened wide. For a moment, she thought she was still falling, thanks to her lack of vision in the dark cave. But she felt the ground on her back and realised that it had just been another bad dream. As her eyes slowly began re-adjusting to the dark, she made out the blurry shape of a Riolu. "Hey, Noel..." She murmured, shivering as she began to sit up. "... do you think it's morning yet? I think I've gotten enough sleep for a while."

Noel looked at lumina with a slight frown as she nodded "I suppose it doesn't matter much" she says as she stands up and looks at lumina "are you sure you are going to be ok" Noel asks in the same worried tone as last time she felt like two nightmares in a row was to bad but she quickly remembered lumina didn't want to talk about it as Noel quickly covers "about your leg I mean" she aids with the same tone as before

The Vulpix sighed, shifting her back paw. No use hiding it now, was there? "It's stopped bleeding by now. Don't worry about it." She explained, picking up on the pause that Noel had left off on. Was she going to ask her about something else at first? She brushed it off for the moment, deciding that it didn't really matter. "How'd you know, anyways?"

Noel looked and pointed at her eyes "aura mate it will do wonders for you" she said with a smirk as she decided to explain "like in said aura is energy but it gets slightly weaker when you have a open cut around the area I noticed your leg had less aura then normal" Noel said as she thought that was the fancy way then decided to tell another way "I also noticed some blood when I closed the rock also some where you were sleeping"

"Arceus, I'm bad at hiding these things." Lumina scowled, heaving herself back to her paws. Between the nightmare and failing to hide her own little blunder, she was in a foul mood. "Let's get going, Noel. This cave is beginning to wear thin on me." She called, approaching the large stone that was blocking their way out of here.

"No you are not I'm just good at finding them" Noel says as she walks over to the rock and shoves it quietly out of the way well as quiet as you can move a giant rock and looks around seeing nothing she then starts to walk at a slow pace so lumina could catch up

The Vulpix moved at a hurried pace, her paw not stinging as much as it did last night when she put some weight on it. There was probably still a mark on it, but the cut hadn't felt that large, and it had definitely stopped bleeding by now. Besides, if she picked up her pace, it would get them through just a little bit faster. She paused briefly, trying to spot Noel was in the dark, or at least get a grasp on where the Riolu was.

Noel walked slightly slower then normal as she was almost just in front of lumina as she scans the area they were getting close to the exit she could feel it in the air and using her senses she was able to see the exit just a little longer as she turns her head to lumina "the exits close" she says with a smirk

"Really?" Lumina asked in response, almost not believing the Riolu. She couldn't see any light, not yet. But if she paid enough attention to her surroundings, she could feel a faint breeze against her fur. That was enough to convince her that Noel was being serious. "... Alright. Let's keep going, then." She decided, and continued doing exactly that.

Noel made her way through when she stopped and sense something she held her arm in front of lumina once again this was her signal for trouble as she looks into a room it was slightly lite up with light as Noel looked to see a cave at the far end but some feral Pokemon were blocking the path as Noel told lumina this

"Great. ... should we just run past them? I'm not sure if they'll want to follow us out of the Mystery Dungeon." The Vulpix suggested, quietly analyzing the situation. She wasn't in the mood to fight, honestly, but she would if they needed to. "If we get out of their territory, it's possible they would back off."

Noel thinks if they ran straight they could make it as she nodded "yup the path has no real rocks just run and we should be good" Noel says as she gets into a dashing stance then books it over through the passage hoping lumina would follow

Lumina considered this, knowing that Vulpix weren't renowned for their speed. She searched through her Treasure Bag before pulling out a small seed and quickly devouring it, feeling an almost electrical surge run through her veins. "I'm ready." She confirmed, ready to run past them after eating that Quick Seed.
