Danger - He is an adrenaline junkie, and will do almost anything to get a rush. This leads to some very stupid decisions (occasionally intentional), and gets him in trouble quite often.
Flying - He is a gifted flier, and takes pride in his talent. As a result, he is almost always practicing his flight skills, to the point where he feels uncomfortable on the ground.
Singing - Although he would never admit it, he enjoys singing the songs that his mother used to sing to him. Under the impression that singing isn't "masculine", he refuses to perform in front of others.
Mockery - Like many bird Pokémon, he is excellent at mocking others, and he typically uses this skill when making fun of someone, or if he's in a verbal argument.
Showing off - If he is given the chance to, he will boast about pretty much anything, no matter how insignificant it is. This is why he enjoys performing tricks in the air, as it helps him maintain his ego.
Warm weather - He prefers to stay in areas with warm climates, as he doesn't like being cold. This also gives him a subconscious fascination with fire, and anything heat-related.
Spicy foods - For whatever reason, he loves spicy foods, particularly Cheri Berries. Perhaps it's because eating spicy foods can be seen as an act of masculinity.
- » Dislikes:
Being on the ground - Since he is such a skilled flier, being on the ground makes him feel weak and powerless. Whenever he wants to take a break from flying, he'll usually perch himself on a tree.
Caves and buildings - He has terrible claustrophobia, and becomes a nervous wreck whenever inside of an enclose structure. This is probably in part because he grew up in open air.
Being called short - As much as he doesn't want to believe it, size matters. He is very insecure about his height, and a good way of ticking him off is to call him short. Beware, as it also gives him a reason to prove his strength through combat.
Rain - It is very difficult for him to fly while his feathers are wet. This gives him a natural aversion to rain, and water in general.
Lightning - Perhaps because he is always in the air, he sees lightning as a constant threat. The sound of thunder, or even storm clouds, can reduce him to an anxious mess.
The cold - He absolutely despises cold weather, and will instinctively vacate an area if it gets too cold. This gives him a natural aversion to snow, ice, and mountains.
Bitter foods - Anything from bitter berries to tea are on his "do not eat" list. If he were on fire and was offered a Rawst Berry, he probably wouldn't eat it. He finds bitter foods to be absolutely repulsive.
- » Personality:
Gutsy - He will accept any challenge, no matter how impossible it might seem. He especially enjoys when the odds are against him (like when he fights a foe that is twice as large as him).
Reckless - His big guts come with a huge drawback: he is extremely reckless. The fact that he enjoys danger can put him in horrible situations where even his flying skills can't help him.
Arrogant - He thinks very highly of himself, and thinks that everyone else loves him. If he isn't the center of attention, he'll get jealous, and try to put the spotlight back on himself.
Dramatic - If it weren't for his father, he would probably have become an actor. He has a very dramatic personality, and takes even the smallest of things to heart.
Down-to-earth - He could care less about complex theories, or anything that involves planning. To him, life is about what is happening right now, not what could happen in the future.
Unfocused - Naturally curious, he has difficulty focusing on anything for a prolonged period of time without becoming bored. His observant nature can get in the way of things.
Strong sense of aesthetics - He takes great pride in his appearance, constantly preening himself to look good. He shows a surprising sense of fashion, finding new ways to wear his held items every day.
- » History:
Pilot was born into a large brood, giving him the need to be the center of attention from an early age. Since food was limited, starvation was a real possibility, and the only way to prevent that from happening was to be obnoxiously loud. Once he learned how to fly, Pilot became quite a nuisance to his mother, since he would constantly get lost. Fed up, she sent him to the post office, where he learned to be a mailbird.
While he worked at the post office, Pilot's flying skills improved dramatically. He was a natural, and quickly picked up on the ins and outs of flight. Many of his lessons (such as "never fly during a thunderstorm") were unfortunately learned the hard way, but they still stuck with him nonetheless.
Pilot finally met his father when he returned home for a vacation from delivering messages. The Staraptor taught him everything he knows about battling, and greatly influenced his reckless fighting style. He also inspired the young bird to become an explorer, being an ex-guild member himself. It is not known which guild he belonged to.
After coming back to the post office with exploring in mind, Pilot quit his job and decided to look for a partner to form a team. Unsuccessful for the longest time, he decided to return home, but something was wrong. His family had vacated the area, leaving no signs of where they had gone! He hasn't seen them since. Vowing to make his family proud, he returned to Grassveil to become an explorer...

Hidon the Charmander - Respects and admires his strength, but would never admit it. Questions his authority, and finds his lack of control over the group to be hilarious. Enjoys harassing him at any given opportunity, more so than the others.
Nicknames: "Hotshot", "Lardass", "Plumpkin", "Roly Poly", "Tubby"
Raze the Minun - Views him as a formidable ally, but finds his chippy attitude to be a bit annoying at times. Has a burning desire to defeat him in combat. Is jealous of (and a bit scared of) his electrical attacks.

Mim the Helioptile - Sees her as an apprentice of sorts, despite having about as much experience in exploration as she does. Treats her as a subordinate, under the impression that he is stronger and more knowledgeable than she is.

Fighting - She has always been a fan of sparring, devoting the majority of her spare time to training. She can often be found practicing her attacks on boulders and trees.
Collecting - She collects assorted objects, including pebbles, feathers, and shells, as a hobby. She keeps them all in a box that is stashed somewhere in her room.
Her mother - Her mother is her best friend. When she isn't outside training or collecting things, she is probably in her house, talking to her mom.
Nature - While she is fine with spending an entire day indoors with her mother, she prefers being outside. Oddly enough, she likes to hang out near the Small Pond.
Music - While not a musician herself, she enjoys listening to street performers. She's also likes to read and write poetry.
Cold weather - For some reason, she prefers chilly weather over warm weather. Maybe it's just that she just enjoys being out in the snow. For whatever reason, the cold lifts her spirits.
Mild foods - Preferring not to eat foods with overpowering flavors, she typically sticks to dry foods, or foods that aren't particularly spicy. Her favorites are Chesto Berries, Oran Berries, and Persim Berries.

Strangers - Whenever she meets somebody new, she becomes nervous, uncontrollably stuttering. Overall, she is very uncomfortable around anyone she doesn't know well.
Darkness - Ironically (being a dark type), she is afraid of the dark. Since she tends to fear the worst, not knowing what is around her makes her terrified.
Fire - Oddly enough, she doesn't really like being around fire. While she does use it in combat, she finds no enjoyment in watching it like most fire types. She regards it as "destructive".
Being restricted - She is very free-spirited, and doesn't take to following directions very well. Rather, she tries to do her own thing, ignoring those who tell her what to do.
High-stress environments - She has a natural aversion towards disharmony, and will do anything to diffuse a tense situation. However, when confronted with an important decision, she will look on to others for decision-making.
Technical data - She is much more in tune with emotions and morality than hard facts. This is especially apparent when logical thinking directly opposes her beliefs; she will refuse to acknowledge the rational side.
Spicy foods - She does not enjoy spicy foods at all, to the point where she refuses to eat them entirely. Even the scent of a spicy berry is enough to make her leave an area.
- » Personality:
Quiet - Generally, she doesn't feel comfortable around others (especially if they're strangers), and prefers to spend her time alone. She doesn't actively avoid social interaction, but she almost never starts a conversation.

- » History:
Just before Ashen hatched, her mother and father were on an adventure in the region, far away from their home. They drifted from town to town, surviving on items found in dungeons. For a while, the two were able to sustain themselves... Until they arrived at Venen Gulch. Ashen's father became very sick after traversing the dungeon (possibly due to the poisonous smog), and his condition only worsened as they continued to travel. When the two finally made it to Grassveil, where he was going to receive treatment, he passed away.
Shortly after her father's death, Ashen hatched. Knowing that she couldn't make it all the way back home with a child, her mother decided to become a permanent resident of Grassveil Town, and they have lived there ever since. They have no plans to ever return to her mother's first home.
Several years after hatching, Ashen decided that she wanted to follow in her parents' footsteps and become an adventurer. She trained nearly every day for hours, knowing that if she became strong enough, she could make it into the Grassveil Guild.

Reading – Having a natural thirst for knowledge, she spends a significant amount of her time in Grassveil’s library, learning about everything from history to biology. She sees the term “bookworm” as a compliment.
Sarcasm – She can be somewhat snarky at times, and uses dry humor to entertain herself. While listening to those she has deemed “incompetent”, she will frequently mutter fresh remarks under her breath.
Being Alone – After a long day of being surrounded by complete morons, she will lock herself in her room, effectively isolating herself from society.
Puzzles – Nothing excites her more than an intellectual challenge. She will eagerly take on any kind of puzzle, no matter how difficult, and will not stop until she has completed it.
Water – Like most water types, being near her own element calms her down. She goes to the Small Pond whenever she is feeling stressed. She wants to travel to the ocean, but is too sickly to make it to Rainfront Town.
Being in Control – As surprised as she would be to hear this, she is a natural leader, and likes to project her authority over others. When she isn’t in control, she will likely assume the role of an advisor.
Police Officers – Because her mother was a police officer, she has a childish admiration of them, and wants to become follow in her mother’s footsteps. She is particularly interested in investigating crime scenes.
- » Dislikes:
Emotions – She has a strong distrust of her own emotions; she believes that they lead to poor decision-making. As a result, she typically conceals her true feelings, hiding behind a wall of rationalism.
Pity – Given her prideful and independent nature, it should be no surprise that she hates it when others give her their sympathy. Of course, because of her lung damage, she has to deal with this on a regular basis.
Love – When it comes to romantic situations, she is completely clueless. Her logical mindset makes her appear awkward (which isn’t exactly untrue), and if that didn’t ruin her chances, her relentless coughing probably did.
Social Interaction – When talking to others, she has the tendency to become mentally exhausted. The idea of small talk is particularly foreign to her; why would you start a conversation with no clear objective?
Public Speaking – Despite her confident demeanor, she struggles when speaking to an audience, and prefers to stay “behind the curtains”, even if it means using someone else to make her opinions heard.
Poison Types – Because of her breathing condition, she tends to stay away from poison Pokémon, especially ones that could know the move Smog. Just being around a Pokémon like Koffing could lead to an asthma flare-up.
Doctors – Due to her past experience with doctors, she doesn’t trust them. She has taken many different medications for her lungs, most having horrible side effects, but her condition has not improved at all.

Independent – While not a complete loner, she prefers to do things on her own, and enjoys spending time away from others. She will refuse to accept help from anyone, no matter how much she might need it.
Decisive – Possessing a nimble mind, she finds it easy to make difficult decisions, as long as they have no social or romantic implications. Because of this, she is very strategically capable.
Self-Confident – Proud of her rational method of thinking, she has little reason to doubt herself. Despite this, she is also very open-minded, and appreciates input from others (as long as she deems them competent).
Intelligent – She is a very bright individual, and constantly adds to her body of knowledge by reading. She tends to surround herself with more experienced Pokémon, with the intention of learning from them.
Cynical – She believes that all Pokémon are inherently selfish, and sees altruistic behavior as “suspicious” unless if she can come up with an ulterior motive. She often uses this philosophy to justify her own selfish actions.
Level-Headed – No matter how much mental strain she is under, she keeps a very cool and calculated attitude, appearing as if she is unaffected. However, due to her young age, she occasionally lets out bursts of childishness.
Secretly Turbulent – Because she bottles all of her emotions up, she is prone to mental breakdowns. When this happens, she will avoid personal interaction with anyone for a few days to cool down.
- » History:
Ever since her first breath, Delta the Oshawott's parents and older brother knew that there was something seriously wrong with her lungs. She gasped for air as if she were suffocating, and even the slightest bit of physical activity would send her into a coughing fit. The fact that they lived in the heavily-polluted Grima Outpost probably didn't help, either. Concerned for their daughter's well-being, the family moved to Grassveil Town less than a month after she was born.
Delta's condition only marginally improved when she was introduced to the cleaner air of Grassveil. She was looked at by some of the best doctors in the area, but none of them could seem to figure out how to cure her. Countless medicinal herb cocktails later, Delta remained largely unchanged, only bearing a newfound hatred of physicians.
Because of her asthmatic symptoms (and lack of social skills), Delta was unable to make any close friends besides her older brother. As she walked down the streets of Grassveil, residents would stare, seemingly appalled by her coughing and wheezing. Those that weren't disgusted frequently expressed their pity, which actually embarrassed her more than the others. This is what ultimately lead to the development of her cynical, misanthropic personality.
Most of the time, she either spent her time at the library by herself, or watched her brother spar at the Small Pond. She looked up to her brother, envying his combat prowess and admiring his charismatic attitude. On multiple occasions, she attempted to train with him, but was simply too sickly to keep up. Eventually, he left to wander the region, and she hasn't seen him since. On the day that he left, she promised him that she would be able to in good enough condition to spar with him when he returned.
Ever since then, she has tried to fight through her chronic asthma by training in Pecha Forest, but has had little success. She has never cleared the supposedly "easy" dungeon, usually blacking out after fighting two or three weak ferals.
Besides her promise to her older brother, Delta had other motivations to continue training. After listening to some of her mother's stories from when she was a cop, Delta became interested in following in her footsteps. She saw it as a perfect fit; the job required a great deal of intelligence, and at the same time, there was a combat component to it, which would force her to train harder. Every day, she enters Pecha Forest, hoping that she will leave strong enough to become a rookie officer at the police station...
